  • step by step on setting up an msd 4 magnet crank trigger and msd cam sync on a chevrolet engine. very similiar on a ford just that the cam sync spins the opposite direction. Remember compression stroke is important.

    Thanks for posting this- especially with the cam sync opened. I have to fab one for a Pontiac, and this gave me more ideas to work with!

    I feel like you should have said "If you don't know what compression is you probably shouldn't be setting up a cam sync in the first place."

      Thanks. Mooshoo is our latest edition. We have 4 english bulldogs now. Brutus is 11 hes the oldest, then ellaweeze is also 6 then Jaxon is almost 4

    I would lime to get a crank trigger system
    Does it come with everything? The new dizzy etc coils I hear you can run the LS style .. so Holley terminator?

    Is it the same for FAST XFI? I want to use MSD crank trigger wheel with Fast Dual Sync distributor as the cam sensor.

    Thanks for the video, how critical is the 195* BTDC? What if you have a crank reference angle of 60* and your cam sync is falling at 190 instead of 195? I’m using the same 4 magnet MSD crank trigger with a Holley HE crank and Holley HE cam sensor reading off a magnet in the belt drive cam gear.

    Good demonstration for rising falling. Seems like falling is pointless & just complicates tuning .

    So if I have my timing set to 34 degrees would I change from 195 BTDC to 169 BTDC due to the ignition angle?

    You know if you pump the starter with the distributor on the cam it will fall onto the oil pump

    Could you explain why you are setting the cam sync pickup at 195 degrees BTDC? I would think that you would want to set it to set it closer to the 60 degrees BTDC like the crank sensor. I’m setting up a 60-1 crank trigger with a cam sync. Thanks for the info!!!

      You don’t want them to overlap. 60-1 would be a nightmare for cam sync. We just took a 32-1 off and put on a 4 magnet wheel. Sick of issues

      @@belldynamics7680 when it comes to sequential efi… the cam/crank sync is always the trickiest thing to get right. But it’s worth it to have the benefits. Imho

    Nice video! Not sure if you know anything about 92 mustang 5.0's but, I'm down in Charlotte and I'm trying to wire up my Holly crank sensor to a factory distributor wiring harness. Do you know that info or where I could find that information? Thanks!!
