I love watching you go through the process and it's really helping me to understand not to be afraid of trying new things. Looking forward to next installment. TFS. Niki
Thanks Barbara, for sharing the process of turning your lovely Dehemeremberer creations into a journal. It's wonderful to keep most of it together. I'm excited to see how everything goes together. 👍👍 on the cover.🥰
I enjoyed the December series It was so much fun, and I made some. I'm going back and there are some I want to make for my winter journal. Looking forward to seeing this one.Hugs and love you back 👍👍💙
I couldn’t wait until you started your journal using the items from Dephemerember. I love the color scheme you used and the theme. I’m going to enjoy this!
Oh Barbara, that is so earthy, grungy and awesome! I am envious you got the dies for those stunning leaves and what you did with them was magical. What a great start for this journal project. 👍🥰❤️
Barbara, you have captivated me. I hated to see this video end and anxiously await the next. Your work is stunning and I'm so grateful to you for sharing your talent.
Morning Barbara, what a lovely, scrummy, yummy, cover. I am so glad we were able to watch you alter the cover from the geginning. I have always wanted to do this but felt very apprehensive and nervous that I would only ruin it and then have nothing to work with. You have inspired me to try, and, as I am planning on making a Garden Journal, I thank you for this video. You are ALWAYS so inspiring and so gentle in showing how an article can be made, it is wonderful. Thank you, again, for sharing with us, and I can't wait to carry on this nature adventure with you. Hope you are well and keeping safe, Blessings and hugs, as always, from Cape Town. Diana
Thanks so much for your kind feedback, dear Diana! I’m so happy you feel inspired to give it a try for your garden journal! We’re in this together! 😃❤️
This cover is gorgeous, and I'm not even a green 💚 person. I'm really loving the cover and all the colors work so well together. Another awesome video, TFS❤️💚💜
I am absolutely gob smacked at the sheer beauty and creativity of this! SO much detail and it's absolutely enchanting to see! I have on my 2022 list to create more junk journals and journals in general and am so glad you share your talent and knowledge of how to make these - thanks so much for that! Just gorgeous!
It helps to see your process. Thanks for sharing it, Barbara. You’re a generous teacher! Also, we call the sandwich paper, “deli paper” because it comes wrapped around a sandwich you order from the deli (delicatessen). Pretty much the same name as in German!
Wow Wow 👏 😍 I love this so much. Its so exciting to see how you work through your vision and how it evolves. The biggest news for is that you are going to make the journal about the sitting doll papers and animals. Woohoo 🙌 Can't wait for your next episode 😀
Oh Barbara, this is delightful. I have been looking forward to this journal. You have a great start. The cover is elegantly grungy!! I didn’t know that could be....😂😂 I loved hearing your thought process and finding solutions to results that you did not like. This is so helpful to me. Thanks.
Dear Barbara! Wow! That was interesting, exciting and instructive! Never thought, that Butterbrotpapier can make such an interesting background! Of course it wasn‘t the Butterbrotpapier, but you! Thank you for this new lesson! I will try this one day as well! And of course I am so touched and agitated, to watch the growing of this cover, because you added an ephemera-piece from me! It is such an honor for me, I can‘t believe it! Thank you so much for this pleasure! Love from Rita😘😘
I absolutely love this cover Barbara. With all the layers, colors and different elements for texture it is marvelous . Thank you for sharing your unique artistry with us. I love your creativity. Can’t wait to see the next steps of this lovely creation. 🤗🤗
Ohh 😯...what a fabulous work of art! From the beginning to the end of this episode you've given inspiration, education and beauty in sight, sound, wisdom and encouragement. I really appreciated learning about your selection process and steps you follow. This journal will be so amazing ... the golden-rayed forest cover featuring the "shimmering" magpie and Rita's beautiful card. Gorgeous! I did a Google search and learned magpies are part of the raven family and are considered very clever and intelligent. Their plumage is iridescent and you portrayed it perfectly 😍. For all your hard work and generosity in sharing your creations, thank you so, SO much Barbara! 💖💖💖
I have literally just finished watching the dephemerember videos and it was a joy to be able to progress straight on to the start of the journal process. I only found you and Luise in early January and I'm so new to JJ, but I've learnt SOOOO much already. This cover is beautiful. When you'd finished the background it looked like you were peering through a murky forest with light filtering through the leaves, vines and branches in the background. Beautiful!
It was so interesting watching the metamorphosis of this cover. So many layers and such a great result. You're right, you just have to jump in and try new things to see what works. It's beautiful! I look forward to seeing how this journal evolves!
LOVE how the cover turned out! I wouldn’t add anything on the cover! Let it speak for itself! Definitely a statement piece! Super gorgeous! Love your new die cuts! I expect to see a lot more of them! Lol!!! Can’t wait to see what binding you picked and the rest of the journal….exciting!!!
Hi Barbara. Thanks for sharing the process of making the cover. It is very inspiring to see how the background changed several times by putting another layer on top, removing it partly and start again until you are happy with it. That is the best way to do it (unless you already have a final picture of the result in your mind) - experimenting and learning. And having fun - because not only the result is what counts but also the creative process itself. Let's see how this journal develops... Hugs&Kisses from Wiesbaden 💖💖
Aaaahhhh I love the snow woman I was so inspired by her...so clever...look forward to your animal and people journal I am with Luisel it's going go be great...
This cover is magnificent! I can't believe how you just layered and layered it to come up with such a beautiful piece. i can only imagine what the rest of this journal is going to look like. Seeing this just makes me want to go all out and play more to get out of my comfort zone. After all, I might discover some new and interesting technique that just amazes me. TFS, Blessings, Carol Schneider
Lovely! The cover is so gorgeous, it would have been lovely with nothing on it, So in North America, they call the paper you used Deli paper. Deli stands for delicatessen which is the place you get meats and cheeses and sometimes things like sandwiches etc.
When you said “this is a hot mess” I knew you’d pull it off somehow … and you did!! I Love where this is going and can’t wait for the next episode… 👏🏻❣️💖
I was mesmerized watching your cover develop. It is incredible! I can’t wait to see how it all comes together and I agree with Luise-I wish this journal could be mine! It will be a possession you will always treasure, I’m sure.
Omg! ♥️ Bárbara you can really light my day with your videos! ♥️ this is amazing! Can’t wait to keep following it!!! Thank you so much for sharing this and have a great weekend! ♥️
Hi Barbara! I am so happy to see the start of your "Urban Nature" Journal! The cover finally fell into place for you... nice job! The shimmery watercolor paints really sealed the deal nicely! I love it and you seemed to also. When you said that it looked like a hot mess, I knew it would come out great in the end! I have faith in you & your creative process! I'm looking forward to seeing this creative series. Thanks for the great video! TFS Happy Creating! Samantha
Well, dang!! That was fun. At least it was fun for me. Lol. I love watching your process. I was excited to get Christmas out of the way. Because all my sewing would be done and then I could work on my cover (the one I used my 16 year old Grandsons 2 shirts). Christmas was done. No more excuses. So then the procrastination started. I dreamed about what I wanted to do, wake up and think about it some more! Finally started back to work on it and I’m loving it. I wish I could sew in my signatures, but there’s more I want to do on the pages that I won’t be able to do after they’re sewn in. Anyway, I love what you did. I absolutely love the leaves that you used like feathers. What a fun find!! Can’t wait for part 2!! ♥️♥️♥️
Fantastisch!
I'm soooo happy I found this opportunity to talk about J J (which I love) with people that are doing it so beautifully, and... in two languages I used to know, but need to "refresh": english and german !!!!!!!!!!!
Your cover is beautiful! As I watched your progress, I was worried, then happier, then loved the end result! I am that way with my own work, too, so that is definitely not a criticism! It is satisfying to see such a wonderful result!!
Wow this is astounding! Love your courage and valiant efforts to make a unique cover! Truly you did a sublime job! I love this stunning cover! 💙😄waiting for the whole journal!
I really enjoyed doing the Decemerember preempts with you and Louisa. I’ve made a winter journal with many of the pieces that I am loving. I learn so much from you and Louisa! Look forward to seeing this journal come into being with your creativity.
I’m so looking forward to this series of videos. I began watching you because of your 25 days of ephemera in December, and I’ve become so invested in this project. I’ve learned so much from you and I know this journal with always be my favorite. Thank you for bringing us along on this amazing journey❣️
Oh I’m so excited!! I love everything you made in December. I have a good feel for your style. So I’m excited to see this Journal take shape. Gotta go watch. I’ll be back. Lol ♥️♥️♥️
Oh Barbara, I love where your work is heading. I’m collecting paper bags and I want to make a journal that has that binding on so I can incorporate single pages or fabric pages, I’m looking forward to seeing this journal progress. I might do Dephemerember in February and make a coordinated set of ephemera as you did. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery !
I'm staying tuned until the end of course. I just love watching you and have been inspired in so many ways to find my own style. Luisa will have to fight the rest of us for the finished journal. Lol. 😆💙
I love watching you go through the process and it's really helping me to understand not to be afraid of trying new things. Looking forward to next installment. TFS. Niki
