I really love to see this journal getting bron and grow into a full journal! Your videos are so inspiring, the way you touch and tear the paper always shows your love for paper ❤️
This is developing into a grungy delight. I love the simple almost primitive vibe. The muted colors are so pleasing with the jolts of black, coffee, and gold splatters. I am so looking forward to seeing you incorporate your pre made ephemera into it.
Dear Barbara! I am in love with this journal! The colours, the sound, the collages. I am looking forward to the next step! Thank you for sharing! Have a nice weekend! Hugs! 😘😘
Thank you Barbara for sharing your progress on your new urban junk journal. The papers are beautiful. I love your unique rough window opening showcasing your hand made tree stamps. I look forward to the decorating next.
I really love how this journal is coming along! Those grungy strips with sewing add a lot of interesting textures. I also really love how you did the sewn strips of fabric to bind your signatures!
These papers gave me so much inspiration! I’m getting my signatures ready for my own Journal. I got a box delivered from Sams Club the other day. It was loaded with brown packing paper. When I coffee dye these, the coffee never shows up because of the brown color. So I added lots more coffee grounds and I shook the bottle like crazy. I spritzed some of the pages and then I had tons of bubbles in my bottle from shaking it. So I dowsed the pages with bubbles and went to bed. I figured if nothing showed up, I would still enjoy the crunchy sounds the coffee gives the paper! I was so surprised at the results. The bubbles were concentrated and they came out super grungy and I was thrilled. I sewed the inside cover for my Journal. I will sew the signatures to that page then glue it to the front cover. Doing my pages is really time consuming because I have a look in my head. Lol. I want it all sewn together so I can start sleeping with it. Lol (yes, I know I’m gonna love it that much!) Thanks for inviting us along on your Journal Journey. ♥️♥️♥️
@@theresa_lili to make it be grungy. Coffee dyed paper comes in all shapes and sizes. Depending on what you do with the coffee, you will get different looks. I just played and it turned out so cool.
@@theresa_lili I scrunched them up in a tiny ball first. Then I smoothed them out before putting the coffee on. I didn’t cover the whole page with coffee. Just spritze part and put the bubbles on part, it’s so fun. Barbara has a video on different things you can do to pimp up your coffee dyed papers. Lol
I've been following Froyle's Art channel for about 2 months - she is as colourful and bold as her art. Have loved watching her use the gel plate to create her tissue paper prints to use in her collages. So happy to hear her mentioned here. Thanks Barbara :)
I had so much fun with one journal when I did one process at a time-I painted on all the papers, cut edges in all, stamped and so on. I could complete one process at a time and it came together really fast. Your accordion journal was like that, too. I do like obsessing over one page at a time. It is all fun.
Barbara, I had not watched your channel for a while and I love your presence even more. You are so relaxed that it's like meditating! There is spaciousness in your voice and tempo that is very relaxing to witness. Of course I love the paper crunch, as always! I also feel that you are going out of your comfort zone much more often and loved that you are walking into the unknown and trusting what the flows bring. Truly enjoyed this new vibes in you. Thanks for being, growing and exploring. It's inspiring.
You are so creative in your visions for your journals. Love how you used the papers from Froyle in the signatures. And the tree stamp pages are sublime!
This is shaping up to be my favorite journal of yours! The colors, the textures, the crunch! ❤️ very inspiring. I have been watching Froyle Art for several weeks now and she is amazing as well!
@FroyleArt Is one of my most favorite UA-cam artists! I think that she is a lot like you, in that she does a good job of explaining her thought process when she creates, you do this too, and it is so instructive. Also, you both are so encouraging and don't take yourselves too seriously. I'm so happy that you found her too. I am so interested in how this journal is coming together, my brain is really energized watching how you pull everything together.
This is exactly what I needed today as I am in a bit of a slump. I think it was meant to be because you then mentioned Froyle, I have been binge watching her channel as I have only recently discovered her. I just love her, I am obsessed with you, Luise and Froyle right now! Maybe that’s why I am overwhelmed and can’t make a decision, too much creative stimulation! I just love where you are going with this journal, it’s going to be amazing! Thank you for being here today, taking one step at a time, making it seem doable again! 💕🇨🇦
Each Signature is beautiful. Those freebies papers are gorgeous. I like you added strips of material and did the little round cut out for the tree. Love you added strips of the gorgeous freebie papers and making your own little collage with wall paper. Beautiful. Lot of wonderful goodies added so far. So pleasing and inviting to the eye. Thank you for sharing.
I love how this journal is coming together and I can't wait to see how you will use all the goodies from Dephemerember! I am also a huge fan of Froyle 😍
For a perfectionist you are doing an excellent job of not pre-planning everything. I must admit I did laugh at how you went right back to tearing rectangles after one free flow. I personally like the feel of rectangles or circles. I’m enjoying watching you build this journal. Oh, I got some craft foam to make a tree! I love the see through tree elements❣️

This is coming together so beautifully. I love stitching in my journals too. I only started a couple of months ago but it adds so much to the pages. I love the stitched spines Barbara, they really add something even more. Beautiful x

It is fun when we find channels that have been out there for a long time..it is like a hole new world is opening up Hugs and thanks again for sharing Tina 😀👏👏
I love the cute 'peek-a-boo ' features😍😍😍. The colours on the collage fodder are SOOO me! Book page makes a great strong spine. Used it with collal once and could barely fold and crease it 🙈🙊. So many fun new things to try! I need to just stitch away and not worry about straight lines. When you make quilts the straight line is essential so I'm always paranoid about going crooked. I need to go check out Froyle's channel! I feel a binge watch coming on...
I think I need to relax putting signatures together and just go with the flow. This looks enjoyable what you’re doing. I found Froyle a while back. She can get you excited about gelli plates. Her use of color is bold and beautiful. She’s fun and the National Geo paper thing is really cool. Blew me away when I watched that video.
