Never seen it done, cool to see. Glad it worked out for you brother.
Early riser, good video. A pinch tool with wing nuts is good for closing and opening tube. I usually just braze on a saddle valve, install piercing sleeve with valve stem and use a screw on control. Then you don’t have to pinch and cut. When I pinch a line shut, I have other things tightening up also. Enjoyed the video.
That's the way I always install those fan cycle switches next time cut it with a small tubing cutter and save yourself some time also if it's ever leaking by with the tubing pinched off take you channel locks to the tightening point for the pinch off tool that way you don't need to take it off to tighten other than that awesome video bro love the channel keep it up 💯🤙😎🤙
Amazing job bro I can't wait to start my job just graduated schoo
Great job... Just a tip Next time you can just crimp it lower cut it off with mini imps up high and weld in a service tap with a core and then install a screw on pressure control so you never have to do that again
I live on an island and this one job call you basically drove around my island twice
Especially hate working on ABS ice machines. Right in the Drive-Thru window
They have a pinch off tool for that and on it is a section to uncrimp the copper.
I would off put a 1/4 service port, for the future repairs .
Never seen this before. Really cool. But wouldn’t there be oxidation still trapped from brazing. No vacuum ?
liked and subscribed. you Sir have good quality content. keep it up brother!
I did a lot of driving like that when I did refrigeration. Wonder how my company made money going so far.
I like the idea to save time but arent you worried about air in the system?
Try coming and doing hvac in Colorado during the snow bro these roofs are more of a ice skating rink than anything lol
From my experience of Manufacturer Tech Support you can be on hold between an hour to hour half, so you never want to call after 11:00 a.m. because at 12:00 lunch time the calls automatically get disconnected. This has happened to me twice by two different Manufacturers
With the fan cycle switch, pinch a little lower so you can get your copper cutter in there
You could try pinching lower and using a file so you don't get as many shavings in the line and using a can of air tip blast out the smaller particles
When you condemned the fan cycle switch initially, why didn’t you just put an access “T” and a temporary fan cycle switch to get them up and running. Was this warranty?
thought the same thing

This is how I felt the first time I did the " pinch off method" next time I would just pinch a bit lower use small tubing cutter and use the actual pinch off tool it rounds the pipe back out it almost looks like a flare tool with just the pincher in the middle.

Bar-Style Pinch-off And Reround Tool
Good stuff man. Keep it up!
Hey guy interesting trick - after you pinch it off and solder on the new switch how did you get pressure back to the switch???
@@Hvacrvlogger so do you just pinch it open just enough to get pressure through the pinched place??
Gotta love cali weather 50° ya think it's cold 😂😂
Yeah, 50° in this time of year we're all running around in shorts.
It's good to mess up. You'll never succeed unless your failing. And you'll learn a lot more when you mess up
I concur!
mate what about during brazing your pipe is getting really hot and down there after the pinch off tool is the gas. I just wonder if is flamable and could cause explosion ?
Also wondering this they say most refrigerant is nonflammable but when you burn some like R22 it lets of phosgene gas and that shit burns your lungs like a mf
On a small diameter line like that you can braze in a matter of seconds. Theres not enough time to build up sufficient pressure. You'd sooner pop the plug on the reciever I bet and vent the refrigerant.
Great job bro I definitely will be trying that one 👍👍
I'm Recommend it vulkan lockring German technology Tools and fittings.
Good idea, I like it🤩.I will try, when I have situation like this..
Good video man , never have used one of those pinch off tools . have been wanting to try one I’ll have to try one would save a lot of time instead of recovering.
Read your manitowoc manual the cover is to be on
Next time leave the old part there...get a brass tee swivel fitting...weld a 1/4" swivel flare at the end of the fan switch, connect it to access port, hook up wires, and ur done. U wont be shitting bricks like that 😃😃😃😃
Good job...🤞😱🙏🙏👌
Very interesting video bro. Film that brazing next time please! Lol. Good stuff man.
How many hours do you book in a week average bro? I book 40 or less looking for a new company for more hours
Furthermore... I felt the struggle! 🤞 (I hate to change those mini p.switches!)
Good shit bro! With my luck I woulda had refrigerant spit out lol
What Laptop table and mount do you have in the van?
Nice work, Any video i see about ice machine's makes me cringe every time i fill my cup up.
You the man !!

My guy you’re basically taller than your van lmao
Adan Diaz ... I thought he had one of those short transits and then realized he in a full size... damn bro what u like 6’6” ??
Noooo You should have pinched it lower. And then cut the old control off. With your tubing cutter also by pinching it lower. If the first pinch didn't hold. You can go below that one if you want it to. Just my thought. Everyone has their own way of doing things.
I agree with you @ralph. He could of do that. And then let go the rest of the freon by removing the valve core in the service port. But at the end her got it done. Good shit bro teto!!
Apprentice??
#63 Thumbs up
Why not just read the manual instead of waiting for tech support?
lennox equals all day long phone calls and no parts in stock..
Hey Ernesto, if you don't want to suffer cutting copper with pliers, use a bolt cutter type, I use these: knipex-tools.com/index.php?id=1023&page=group_detail&parentID=1367&groupID=1473
Those are nice we use at work for soldering
Man why so early for an ice machine? Don't run yourself out of gas for these companies.
