It is not about the products, it's about the crafting, the teaching, and the community! Keep doing what you do. All of us are going on a new adventure, taking with us what we know, and taking it one day at a time. The unknown can be scary, but you are not on this journey alone. Document your journey, look back at later, and share it with your community. I am sure that all makers will have an interesting journey to share.
You are such a beautiful person and amazing talent! CTMH just provided a way for you to shine! It was convenient and had beautiful products, but there are so many other companies that have products you can showcase while still sharing yourself and your talent. I don't know how you can necessarily profit from them, but it sounds like Stampin UP might try to help with that too. Change is hard, but the journey is still worth the adventure! Jeanette needed to move forward without the stress and worry of the company. I understand her reasons and I'm sorry that she wasn't able to just sell the company, but she needs to rest and relax and enjoy her life now. She has given so much for so long, its time. I hope you continue to share, you are such a light! (and I love your soft, relaxing voice, lol). Thank you for sharing.
I’ve been scrapbooking for many years- but I don’t have a ton of actual completed books!! As far as products… I’m disappointed that CTMH will no longer be with us - but there are many other companies who make beautiful products. The biggest thing that I see that we will be lacking are stamp sets that focus on scrapbooking. Mist stamp companies only focus on card making. So - maybe someone will take that and run with it!!! Incidentally, my current paper company favorites are Cocoa Vanilla, Simple Stories, and 49 & Market.
It’s not about the company! Use what ever products you like and continue creating. It may be more fun with the amount of companies you can choose from. The products don’t matter, it’s the teaching and creating! Hang in there Julie! The best is yet to come!
Preserving memories is first & foremost. That was dulled into me with the original Crwative Memories company. Teaching with products you believe in is important but they can be from any type of company.
Hello! I just found your channel as it popped up in my recommendations and I wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through this. Scrapbooking is about doing something fulfilling for you and your loved ones, it's about doing something you enjoy, exploring your creativity and it's about having time to play! It's about focusing on the good, the lovely, the happy, and the beautiful. It's about sharing. There are legions of us out here who love to create and I am one of them. I've been a scrapper for twenty years and I hope I'll be able to continue being a scrapper until the day I die. I'm happy I found your channel! Just subscribed. Hugs to you! 💜Julie
Welcome to my channel. You are so right and I too plan to scrapbook til the day I die. I love this hobby it's definitely a passion and people let you get IT!
Julie definitely this is about the company not The Company. I began maybe 10 or so years ago at a CTMH monthly workshop with 4 consultants and their customers. I've learnt so much from everyone and UA-cam especially, online creators are fantastic. I had begun to be a little jaded with CTMH as here in Australia so much of the patterns were geared for the US, but we worked around this with our Consultants (Makers) at the helm. I agree with many that the best is yet to come, so many wonderful products from all over the world and the same with creators. I scrapbook for memory keeping as the digital age doesn't really show off events as well as a printed photo. Hang in there, I'm sure your people with stay the course.
We will need to re-focus and yes the product world is very big, that's the scary part I don't want to get overwhelmed with product and lost track of the memory keeping.
I subscribe to your channel because I like how you scrapbook. Yes, I like some CTMH products, but I also like some Creative Memories, some Simple Stories, some 49 & Market, etc. Buy and use what makes you happy.
I do like other products too but with CTMH 90% of what I needed was there and I could concentrate on one line of product and not have multiple it help me stay focused. I'm sure I'll figure it all out, it's still very new. Thank you for your words of encouragement :)
I've been thinking of the CTMH group since I heard the sad news. It has to be very hard to hear and leave so many unknowns. I have 2 sons and I've teased them for years that one day all this will be theirs. They probably don't want them but that's ok, it's been my therapy through some of the most joyous times of my life and some days when I have dealt with the most devastating things. It will always be my sanctuary. I will be honest, I don't think I've ever bought a CTMH item. I'm here for the art. I want to be around the creative people, to be inspired by so many, to hear the stories behind the pictures and get my brain turning, see colours and textures and different views on a common interest. It's easy for me to say as I don't make my living from this craft but I hope you know I'm still watching....please keep posting. 😊
Crafting is the best form of therapy it has help me through so many difficult times and I love to relive the great times. I know that realistically my kids won’t keep all of the albums but I do hope they treasure their baby albums and many even some of the others. Photos and memory keeping have always been a big part of my life. Thank you for your kind words
I, too, have been with CTMH for 19 years. I am not naive to think that my family will treasure my scrapbooks. My granddaughter will cherish them, perhaps but she is only eight so who knows. I scrapbook so I can enjoy my grandchildren growing up. The one set lives in Atlanta and they are very active and I miss going to their events etc and my son and DIL are very good about taking copious pictures. Before CTMH there was Creative Memories and everyone forgets how the company evolved after its original announcement. I have complete confidence in your creativity, and I know that you will create beautiful art no matter what company you purchase from. Echo Park, Creative Memories have paper with stickers and ephemera. I am not stressed out, yes, I will miss CTMH but I am hopeful for the future.
It will be a change that’s for use I’ll miss the products but the world is full of products. I’m grateful for the life time friendships will get to keep no matter what.
I have been watching a lot of CMTH makers lately and I'll be honest, it's not because of the products (I don't have any negative feelings for them, that's just not what I was watching for). I like them, but I was watching because I like the end product. The pages. I just placed my first CMTH order a couple days before the closure announcement. So there are definitely people here watching for the other aspects of it, the techniques, the style etc, not the products. We are lucky where I live because we have a rather large group of ladies that still get together very regularly (often monthly) for crops and it really makes a difference.
I have always been technique driven so you are right the product really doesn't matter in the end. But I truly did like the product the ease of working with coordinating products.
I often thought about this. I don't know if my kid wants them or not. I've been scrapping for 30yrs. I saw the rise and fall of the scrap stores. But I do it now for my enjoyment. And if someone wants them they can have them.
I totally agree it is about the memories and preserving more than the products. Anyone looking at the albums will not be looking at where the paper or embellishment came from, they will be looking at the picture, layout and the journaling. Don't give up on the craft of preserving the past, present and future. I thought once when we could not get our pictures developed by Kodak we could not scrapbook anymore and look where we are now, LOL!
Thank you for being real Julie about your emotions of the CTMH Closure, I also feel very emotional that it defies what I can make sense of that what seemed to be such a beautiful thing is now gone and was there not another option than to close everything... it is so sad.
Thank you. Love the quote, “it’s not about the company, it’s about the company.” Hang in there. There are way too many passionate scrapbookers and many suppliers, that this family m-focused activity will continue.
I think it’s not the products. It’s the person creating all these wonderful scrapbook pages or cards. You have taught us so many techniques that can be used with any products. ❤
Thank you so much for you words of encouragement, I just need a little time to get back to creating. I do have lots of CTMH products to keep going for a while that’s for sure. 😋
I’m not as introspective with this closure. I was with CM when it suddenly shut down so i have this feeling of ‘here we ago again’. I haven’t decided if I will move to SU or use up my considerable stash.
For me, it’s not about the company but the quality of product I use, And the memory keeping as a whole. I follow you as a Maker because you share inspiring layouts/projects but also because you’re super talented. As a Maker also, I’m finding between this company and the first one I used and taught with, I do love the products but I love sharing more. This will be the second company that has gone and I’ve had to start over somewhere but also like you, I’ve neglected our family albums and stories to teach. I’m kind of settling in to the fact that I may need to step away from Major teaching and help the actual art of fellowship and memory keeping more than teaching primarily. This will hopefully allow me to “catch up” our albums and memories as well. Sending positive thoughts your way as you regroup with your ladies and your business. I’ll still be watching for your videos ❤
I love your positive look on all of this and this is what I need to focus on too. I do love the quality of the CTMH papers and that was the primary reason why I stay for so long. The community is a top second or many first (lol). It will be interesting to see where we all go from here, wishing all the best, thank you for your support.
I scrapbook for myself and my kids know this. The product doesn't really matter to me. I like seeing the process, techniques and listening to the stories that are told.
Hi Julie I am relatively new to your channel, I have been watching you and the design team for about 4 years. I do love CTMH and found it through Friends, and we have a scrap club of our own and a Maker. But… I do not use CTMH products exclusively. In fact I watch for the layout ideas and quite often substitute the papers you use for what I have in my stash. So I am really hoping that you ,Jayma,Erin, Chelsey, Katy and the rest of the team keep up the wonderful content you all share! And I hope you keep the creative design team!
Our main focus is to keep the Creative Design Team, we are all technique focused, I'm glad to hear you adapt the ideas with your stash we all have plenty of scrapbooking supplies to keep going that's for sure
I do not belong to CTMH but I follow several makers who do. I think the skills/styles you've learned from this program are easily transferable using other products. I hope you will all continue to scrapbook using other products. There really are lots of great products out there that I think would go well with your CTMH products. Good luck in the future.
I feel for you. My company went through this several years ago. It's heartbreaking at so many levels. I love how you shared your heart. Keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers as you continue to process.
I hope that you know how much I have enjoyed your videos and workshops. Like you I enjoy creating with paper and I love sharing with my peeps. We are all very saddened about the change moving forward. We love our CTMH products. So we will keep on meeting up and just use a sketch and they will have to dig from their stash. We all have a stash.
Thank you, Julie, you are so right! It’s okay to be emotional. People ask me are you okay? Then I say, yeah, it’s my second time, so I got used it. (pretend). Last year it was Japan closed , I was still thinking, it’s fine I need to return to US maker, then I did! Now, No more place to return! I love scrapbooking using CTMH products. Love and admire so many Makers. I like this community they made! I hope I can still keep in touch with😢. Kayoko Paul
I was so honored to meet you and I too was so looking forward to working with Japan. The Japan closing was so hard and now this. I'll sure our paths will cross again, I'll still be in the crafting world and you should too. HUGS friend!
Like others already mentioned "It's not about the company " I've been scrapbooking for over 18 years now. I was a representative (or however they called it back then) of Creative Memories, but only for a short time. Through the years I've used many different brands, but always focused on preserving memories and enjoying creating. There are many great brands and products out there that if you haven't used them yet, you'll be amazed when you do. I've been doing more mixed media scrapbook pages for few years and Art Journals, but scrapbooking was and still is my favorite. Keep on creating and sharing your work, no matter what products you use, never stop doing what you enjoy most 😊 New subscriber here 😊
I love that, it is about the company and not the company! I also scrap for my enjoyment and my stress relief but I do believe my kids will take them as when they come out, the girls are always looking in them and reliving the memories. I really hope you continue your videos regardless of the products.
I have never used or even seen a CTMH product in person, but I just subscribed to your channel. I can understand your loss at this time, but be assured there are plenty out there who share your passion and want to learn from you. Best wishes to you !
I started using CTMH products less than two years ago (I have been scrapbooking for 25 years) and while they were great, I will of course continue my craft. I really enjoy your “company” and hope to see you teach and inspire us in the future. 🥰
I hope whatever the next chapter in your creative journey, it brings you joy. If it's sharing with us, here and through the CDT, we are lucky. I love that you want to focus on your personal memory keeping, for sure. I love your projects, especially the 52-week one, which was my first journey into "project life" style documenting. And I love that you're Canadian, so I can support a fellow Canuck :)
The 52 week project was a really fun one and the 365 days with Janice too. I'll still come up with fun projects but I'll work on my memories too those special events and vacations.
Julie, as a paper crafter, I have to say that I followed you and several of your team mates because of your creativity not the product. Yes, I occasionally purchased from CTMH for many years. That is because they had something I liked. Craft supplies can be purchased from anywhere. Your talent for teaching can translate to any product you have not just from the flavour of the hour. You have a great gift. Keep on crafting on! ❤
In my experience when something happens that seems to be such a big change and we didn’t see it coming… it always works out. Adjustments are made for the bumps in the road and peace and happiness return!!
Julie, I am so glad my NJ Home-Girl, Andrea lead me to you through the Creative Design Team. Your creations have upped my game, from the gorgeous Cape Cod layouts you created to that unbelievable Christmas Tree layout!!! Someone else already said, and I agree, it's not the products you used, although I love them, it is your unique designs that inspire me. Looking forward to the Design Team's next direction, I'll be there with you!!
It is very emotional. Of course it is about the memories but I have used a lot of different products and as you know ctmh is the absolute best!! I think I’m ok the I start album retreat prep and I get upset again. I know it’s crazy to be upset when there are so many people with much larger problems.
I have been with CTMH for 15 years as a Maker. It is an emotional time for so many. I hope you continue to create in videos. Many of us have a room full of CTMH products that we could still create with that’s for sure. .
I have learned so much from you over the years, Julie, and I look forward to continuing to learn from you. I would have been a maker for 15 years in July. It is surreal that there will be no new CTMH products, but I think we will all eventually be OK. I look forward to seeing what is next for all of us! It's definitely been an emotional week!
Keep on creating, I will follow. I will deeply miss CTMH and the products they offer. I am so sad for all of the Makers losing their income, the HO people who are also losing their job and for Janette, Monica, Karen and all-the end of an incredible journey. It is a sad time for sure. I pray for everyone losing an income, big or small as you all discern your next steps!❤
It's definitely not about the products you use! It's about the inspiration, the techniques, the ideas, the feeling of community that you and several other ladies bring to the table. While I love the CTMH products and am a maker myself, I watch you and others because you are easy to learn from, easy to listen to and you inspire me! I don't care if you use your CTMH stash or different company's products, as long as you are making videos...I am tuning in!!
Scrapbooking and papercrafting brings me joy and is my therapy when I get stressed. Thanks for reminding us all with your thoughts of what really matters. I have enjoyed watching you create here and will continue to follow!
Although we love our CTMH products we also love our community of makers and the skills we share. I hope you will continue your videos with whatever products you choose. Sending hugs!
Julie your work in incredible. I so love watching your videos. You are not just a scrapbooker but you’re an artist. We have all been inspired by your talent. I am so sad all this is happening to all of us. I was hoping someone would step in and buy out CTMH and keep us going. But apparently it’s not going to happen. I sure hope you continue your scrapbook journey to teach us techniques and keep us lol going. I wish you the very best and all you ladies on the CDT .
I Scrapbook for my enjoyment as well. What you share is amazing you encourage us to make beautiful Albums for our families. You've Got this! Please keep doing it. We are loving it! Big hugs from one who has taking this journey before. We can do it again. Love to you all.
Your channel is one of my favs and I just love your style. I recently became semi-retired and was hoping to ramp up my CTMH business now 😢. Life sure keeps throwing curves these days.
I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been retired for a year now and was finally getting into the grove a posting once a week. I’ll still create just need to regroup.
I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a huge hug! You have inspired me, encouraged me, been a cheerleader and a fabulous friend and I know that we are going to keep on scrapping, chatting and supporting each other always. This video is so true, it's the company we keep, the memories we make, the friends and people we all meet on the scrapbooking journey. Can't wait to hug you in real life. hugs xxx
I'm to grateful to have you by my side to help my navigate this next chapter of my crafty journey. I think we need to come up with another great collab project together to use up all of our scrap and stash :) Hugs to you too my far away friend! May can't get here soon enough!
“It’s not the Company, it’s the company”. So true! I have been a CTMH Maker for 12 years and in that time I have met and become friends with people i never would have met if not for scrapbooking-including a couple of very close friends. I’m sad that some of my favourite products will no longer be available, but my scrapbook club will continue. And people don’t have to worry about cheating on me with other manufacturers anymore. CTMH was a wonderful experience. I’m so glad I signed up!
Hi Julie, I have been scrapbooking for about 20 years here in New Zealand and I love CTMH products but have realised there are so many papercraft companies with beautiful products that would be nice to create with. I love watching your videos and hope you keep making them. It's about the creation and inspiration you give all of us. It's definitely going to be a huge change for so many Makers. I go to a monthy craft group currently (CTMH) and we plan to continue to keep it going no matter what in someway as we all enjoy the day out and the company of like minded people. 😊
It's nice to hear that no matter what our personal connections will continue either in person or virtual. Crafty is a way of life for me so it will continue just need to focus on how!
Thank you for so eloquently putting into words the thoughts and worries that have been running through my head for the past week! I hope you keep sharing videos with us because yes, it's about teaching and learning, not about specific products. ❤
I couldn't agree more! And that was a beautiful message Julie, so much of what you were saying aside from the CTMH resonates. The economic aspect if this may be scary for you of course and I wish you the best for the future and have faith that things will work out as you need.
My heart goes out to all the Makers thank you for sharing your thoughts it is about the community we build using whatever products we use…hugs to you my paper crafting sister…
An absolutely perfect message, Julie. Yes, take some time to absorb this change, then regroup. Just don't lose your passion because you inspire so many of us!!! #ScrapOn
Hey Julie, ctmh is awesome, don’t get me wrong, I love them, but I fell in love with the community, the art of scrapbooking, card making. Definitely an artistic outlet for me. I don’t think it matters what you use ….as long as you enjoy the process. Hugs ! I enjoy the content you put out and seeing the process. I’m pretty sure you have lots that we didn’t see yet lol. I will miss ctmh. But I do hope to keep seeing the wonderful people I met along the way.
I love your teaching style and will continue to watch as you create with something other than CTMH papers and embellishments. For me, it was never the company, but the inspiration, creativity and generosity of your talent. Thank you for your video.
You put it beautifully Julie❣️I’ve been scrapbooking for over 20 years here in Australia. It’s been a big part of my family…my oldest son even met his wife of over 13 years through me scrapbooking❣️Its extremely upsetting seeing people I care for and admire hurting in this upheaval. It will not stop me scrapbooking❣️Please follow your heart and go to whatever supplier you are lead to and keep doing what you love doing❣️Thank you so much for your honesty and inspiration❣️God Bless❣️🙏🏻🥰❤️
Keep doing what your doing Julie. I love watching your videos & your creativeness is inspiring. The CDT is a wonderful group of very talented ladies giving all of us such fabulous ideas. We will all have loads of stash to use & therefore need plenty of inspiration. As they say, when one door closes another opens, so don’t stop being you & keep those layouts coming ❤️
I’ve found so much inspiration for projects from your sharing of your creativity…the 52 week project alone opened my eyes to living in the moment and documenting even the little things. I hope you continue to share. I know my wallet is going to be thankful…and I will finally get around to using what I have ..not needing the next best new thing! Change is opportunity..you’re extremely talented, I’m sure you’ll find your new happy place.
Thanks for sharing your heart Julie. We, as CTMH Makers, have to pivot! And wherever that takes each one of us will be our own journey. But I am with you-I will still be scrapbooking forever! ❤
She well said Julie! You have been an inspiration to me for many years and I am of so grateful for you! I am feeling all the same feelings as you. Love you dear faraway friend!!
Thanks Julie, I enjoy watching your videos and I'm happy to know you will continue sharing your talent wicth us. I, too, am very sad about the closing of CTMH. I've been a Maker off and on for 19 yrs and I LOVE this company.
Thank you for sharing from your heart. I enjoy watching you create and hope you will continue to teach and share. I have learn so much from your techniques. We can use various products and maybe use up some our stash in the future. Looking forward to continue following a long with you.
It is a hard time but I remember when CM closed its doors to us in Australia about 12 years ago I think it was, we thought the world was ending but they lined us up with CTMH & to be honest, I am glad they did as we were introduced to stamping. Then along came covid & I was introduced to many new friends as I heard about several of you on youtube & so started a new journey for me as I learnt how to scrapbook my photos so that I was happy with my albums which I wasn't in the past, so I expect to continue to learn new things, be introduced to new products as you ladies continue in your journey wherever it may take you. I don't always use CTMH or CM products as I have never felt that I was contracted to only using them as I am scrapbooking for myself & so will continue to do so but I know that I will improve with your guidance as you & the other ladies I watch are all talented & I am not creative but a follower & through your knowledge & teaching of techniques am able to produce pages that I am proud of & happy to show others. Mind you, I let people know that I have you ladies to thank, & I recommend people to follow your youtube videos. So as they say: The best is yet to come... 🥰
After a very hard day with my in person VIPs, I just felt the need to share the real side of my journey. It will be a new creativity journey I just don't know all of the details yet.
Julie you have been a huge inspiration to me. I signed up to be a DOTS demonstrator way back in 1995! So for 29 years this company has been huge in my life. Years ago I achieved top sales regularly but I have been a hobbyist for the past 8 years. With a friend, I completed a 365 Days of Weather album for 2023 after watching you and Janice. Please keep on sharing your passion. So many of us enjoy your teaching and I have to believe that scrapping your photos is good for your soul. We all have new territory to navigate in this change. But we sure have had a fabulous foundation with CTMH. Blessings to you as you decide.
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I have been with Close to My Heart for 22 years. I love all the tutorials mostly for cards. Try to stay positive..
Julie, I can’t imagine what an emotional shock this announcement was to you. I didn’t watch your channel for the product. I watch a lot of CTMH makers for that. I subscribed to your channel because you have a unique way of using that product & preserving memories. I love the last two years worth of monthly projects in particular. My husband teases me about being behind. I scrap what is meaningful to me. I don’t expect my family to cherish them because I did. I hope they might look at them & remember moments that they had forgotten & know that I cherished them. Then they can do what they want with them. 😘
I'm very sorry to see you sad. One thought, Now you can use any of your old products. Maybe you liked a stamp set and didn't get to use it before new product came out. I look forward to our new adventure.
I am sad that CTMH is closing doors, but I would way more sad if crafters and video content makers like you stopped doing what I love to watch you do. Change is scary but I am looking forward to seeing what you all will come up with in the future. The challenge now is to find another brand for scrapbooking that I love as much as CTMH! Hugs to you and all the people who's livelihood is being affected. It will get better. :)
It is hard when you had found a brand that for the most part had all the basics to create great pages. I can't see myself shopping all over to find that perfect colour or that perfect paper. It is sad to see them go :(
It is my understanding that SU! doesn't currently allow demonstrators to monetize thru You Tube. Will this have an effect on the CDT Membership Group? I agree it's not the company and would love to see a variety of products.
Well said! It will be a fun new journey for sure.
So happy you will keep inspiring us.! Very sad about the announcement as well with 21.5 years spent as a ConsultantMaker.
It’s a testament to the company we all stayed for so many years. Best of luck with your new venture 😊
Thank you for the words of encouragement, I will keep on sharing for now I can use up some of my older collections.
I' m so sorry for your your loss 😢.
It’s not really a loss want I really think about but it is a very change. Thank you for your kind words.
You are so right about the stamp set and I too love those paper lines 😉
Go Creative memories
nor sure if that's an option for me but I'll look thank you for sharing!
It’s not about the company! Use what ever products you like and continue creating. It may be more fun with the amount of companies you can choose from. The products don’t matter, it’s the teaching and creating! Hang in there Julie! The best is yet to come!
So true! You know that they say change is hard but I’m willing to change to stay on the crafty journey. 🥰
Preserving memories is first & foremost. That was dulled into me with the original Crwative Memories company. Teaching with products you believe in is important but they can be from any type of company.
I'm so very sorry this happened Julie..
They say everything happens for a reason, we’ll see.
I love your creations Julie, that’s what it’s all about for me…. Your Christmas tags are amazing. I sincerely hope that you continue creating. Hugs ❤
Thank you so much! Yes a will, just need to refocus a little.
❤❤❤
Thank you 🙏
@@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone Yes for sure! Awesome! ❤
Thanks for sharing and caring
I just felt the need to be honest and a little raw, I'll get back to creating soon!
I often thought about this. I don't know if my kid wants them or not. I've been scrapping for 30yrs. I saw the rise and fall of the scrap stores. But I do it now for my enjoyment. And if someone wants them they can have them.
I think you are right, if they want them it will be a bonus :)
You are so right, it's about the photos and the memories for sure, thank you!
I have used Creative memories for twenty nine thirty years
I started with CM and moved the CTMH
Thank you for being real Julie about your emotions of the CTMH Closure, I also feel very emotional that it defies what I can make sense of that what seemed to be such a beautiful thing is now gone and was there not another option than to close everything... it is so sad.
Jeanette did create something quite unique not just an awesome product line but that hold "let me show you how" concept will forever be with me!
Thank you. Love the quote, “it’s not about the company, it’s about the company.” Hang in there. There are way too many passionate scrapbookers and many suppliers, that this family m-focused activity will continue.
So true! Just need to refocus my creative energy :)
Many I was over thinking it after a long crop day, I just need to refocus on my WHY!
I too scrapbook for myself but it would be nice if they kept a few albums :)
Go Creative Memories
I'll miss the stamping portion :(
Hi Julie I am relatively new to your channel, I have been watching you and the design team for about 4 years.
Thank you for the words of encouragement :)
“It’s not about the company, it’s about the company”. Well said my friend!!! Hugs to you.
So glad you have you in my virtual life, can't wait for May!
Julie, having been through this with two other companies, my heart goes out to you. Praying the Lord guides you into your next chapter.
I can't fathom going through this twice, once is enough for me.
It was hard, but I’m so thankful to be on the other side now. The experience has made me a better person and I love the company I’m with now.
I scrapbook because it brings me joy. My kids like to see them, but if they don't keep them when I'm gone it's fine.
Same here but it would be nice if they kept a few. I have the one my Mom made for me when I was a baby :)
@@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone it would be nice.
I feel for you. My company went through this several years ago. It's heartbreaking at so many levels. I love how you shared your heart. Keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers as you continue to process.
It's not all about the products, we are real people on the other side and we need to stay turn to our passions
Absolutely!
We do all have stash to keep us going, but we also like the new shiny things so we'll see.
Started scrapbooking 16 years ago, moved on to card making. I make and give away. Very rewarding.
I love making both so I'm not ready to stop anytime soon!
Well said! It’s the “company”! So glad you chose to continue, love your content!
Thank you so much!
Like others already mentioned "It's not about the company "
I've been scrapbooking for over 18 years now.
Keep on creating and sharing your work, no matter what products you use, never stop doing what you enjoy most 😊
New subscriber here 😊
Welcome to my crafty channel. I always go back to memory keeping so I know this is not the end.
Thank you Julie. I think I needed a different perspective and that’s what you gave me.
You are so welcome, best of luck!
I love that, it is about the company and not the company! I also scrap for my enjoyment and my stress relief but I do believe my kids will take them as when they come out, the girls are always looking in them and reliving the memories. I really hope you continue your videos regardless of the products.
I'm pretty sure I will just need to refocus!
I have never used or even seen a CTMH product in person, but I just subscribed to your channel. I can understand your loss at this time, but be assured there are plenty out there who share your passion and want to learn from you. Best wishes to you !
Thank you for the reassuring words! Welcome to my crafty channel.
I started using CTMH products less than two years ago (I have been scrapbooking for 25 years) and while they were great, I will of course continue my craft. I really enjoy your “company” and hope to see you teach and inspire us in the future. 🥰
That is awesome! Thank you so much!
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, I will craft-on! Just need to re-focus!
In my experience when something happens that seems to be such a big change and we didn’t see it coming… it always works out. Adjustments are made for the bumps in the road and peace and happiness return!!
You know what they say change is scary but I’m up for the scary ride. 🥰
Well said Julie, I have been with CTMH for almost 30 years and feel like you.
I am inspired by your work, so keep it going for all of us!!
Wow congrats on your 30 years, it just goes to say that this community is like no other, HUGS friend!
Looking forward to the Design Team's next direction, I'll be there with you!!
ah..... thank you so much Joan, the CDT will move forward together for sure. So thankful for those ladies! Here's to the next chapter!
It is very emotional. Of course it is about the memories but I have used a lot of different products and as you know ctmh is the absolute best!! I think I’m ok the I start album retreat prep and I get upset again. I know it’s crazy to be upset when there are so many people with much larger problems.
Your so right, this is not the end of the world but nonetheless upsetting.
I have been with CTMH for 15 years as a Maker. It is an emotional time for so many. I hope you continue to create in videos. Many of us have a room full of CTMH products that we could still create with that’s for sure. .
I'll just relocated my scrapbooking room to the upper floor of my house my 9x10 room is full of CTMH products so creating will go on for sure!
Looking forward to the next chapter whatever that looks like :)
I will miss the community but we can all adjust to what will come.
Ah thank you you made me smile, I do appreciate your support :)
PLEASE KEEP making Scrapbooking video’s🙏🙏🙏🙏. We enjoy them soooooo much!!! No matter what products!!!
I will I might just take some tine to regroup
Scrapbooking and papercrafting brings me joy and is my therapy when I get stressed. Thanks for reminding us all with your thoughts of what really matters. I have enjoyed watching you create here and will continue to follow!
Thank you for your encouragement and yes creating is a form of therapy for me too!
Although we love our CTMH products we also love our community of makers and the skills we share. I hope you will continue your videos with whatever products you choose. Sending hugs!
We will! Just need to wait and see what’s next.
It is a sad time but we need to adjust to the time and find the next crafty journey. 🥰
I Scrapbook for my enjoyment as well. What you share is amazing you encourage us to make beautiful Albums for our families. You've Got this! Please keep doing it. We are loving it! Big hugs from one who has taking this journey before. We can do it again. Love to you all.
I truly love how this community is so strong no matter where we are in the world, thank you for your words of encouragement!
I couldn’t agree more. I’ve learned so much from CTMH and other Makers. I too have gain friendship that will go beyond this closure. 🥰
Oh Jessica, it’s been a week for sure not sure if I was eloquently but it was from the heart. 🥰
I couldn't agree more! And that was a beautiful message Julie, so much of what you were saying aside from the CTMH resonates. The economic aspect if this may be scary for you of course and I wish you the best for the future and have faith that things will work out as you need.
There are many great products out there. It’s not about the company, it’s about what you love to do. Keep doing what you love.
I love paper crafting so I just need to find products I’ll love to play with.
My heart goes out to all the Makers thank you for sharing your thoughts it is about the community we build using whatever products we use…hugs to you my paper crafting sister…
Well said! Thank you
Love what you create Julie and I'll continue to watch you, no matter what products you use.
Thank you for your support, I truly appreciate it
An absolutely perfect message, Julie. Yes, take some time to absorb this change, then regroup. Just don't lose your passion because you inspire so many of us!!! #ScrapOn
love the #scrapon, thank you!
Thank you Julie ❤❤❤
Thanks for your support
I love your videos. You are a great teacher.❤
Thank you 😊
Hey Julie, ctmh is awesome, don’t get me wrong, I love them, but I fell in love with the community, the art of scrapbooking, card making.
I get it and you are so right. I love my virtual friend and your support is truly appreciate. Up and onwards from now!
I too have been with CTMH a long time, 19 years! Stayed for the people, fellowship and love of teaching ❤️
Staying for the people but inside and outside of CTMH was my main reason too, hope you can find something to continue on your crafty journey.
I will always enjoy watching your UA-cam videos 😊 I love your teaching hugs to you and all of us ctmh makers ❤
Thank you Karen, we will pivot for sure it's just a matter of time!
I love your teaching style and will continue to watch as you create with something other than CTMH papers and embellishments. For me, it was never the company, but the inspiration, creativity and generosity of your talent. Thank you for your video.
Thank you so much!
You were the first person I really followed with youtube. I have watched every video, thank you . Where ever you land I will always follow
Wow that is truly an honour, so glad you’ve stuck with my crafty shenanigans. I truly appreciate your support 🥰
@@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone I will continue to watch no matter where you land
You have been such a great inspiration❤
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, I'll refocus for sure and we will see where we go from here!
Thank you so much! I'll do my best. It's with support like yours that I know it will all work out!
You are so right. I need to just get back to what I love. Thank you for your support 🥰
Thanks for sharing your heart Julie. We, as CTMH Makers, have to pivot! And wherever that takes each one of us will be our own journey. But I am with you-I will still be scrapbooking forever! ❤
I'm a third generation of scrapbooker, so it's in my blood :)
I have confidence that there is something new and wonderful around the corner! ❤
Love your confidence, I'm still processing. I know it's not the end it's simply a big change.

She well said Julie! You have been an inspiration to me for many years and I am of so grateful for you! I am feeling all the same feelings as you. Love you dear faraway friend!!
Oh Amy, you are such a fun person and I love your passion for life. We do need to keep in touch even if it's from far away!
Julie you have been a big inspiration to me. I love watching and crafting along with you.
Thank you that means a lot to me!
Thanks Julie, I enjoy watching your videos and I'm happy to know you will continue sharing your talent wicth us. I, too, am very sad about the closing of CTMH. I've been a Maker off and on for 19 yrs and I LOVE this company.
Thank you for your support and I’ll sure I’ll find a way to keep sharing for sure. 🥰
Thank you for sharing from your heart. I enjoy watching you create and hope you will continue to teach and share. I have learn so much from your techniques. We can use various products and maybe use up some our stash in the future. Looking forward to continue following a long with you.
Thank you Mary and yes we do have a lot of stash to use, maybe I can use my very old stash, some must be vintage by now, LOL
Some of mine is vintage ae well'
It is a hard time but I remember when CM closed its doors to us in Australia about 12 years ago I think it was, we thought the world was ending but they lined us up with CTMH & to be honest, I am glad they did as we were introduced to stamping. 🥰
Louise you have always been to kind and honest with all of your comment. I truly hope the best is yet to come. 🥰
Julie, thanks so much for this honest, eloquent heart to heart ❤ well said….
After a very hard day with my in person VIPs, I just felt the need to share the real side of my journey. It will be a new creativity journey I just don't know all of the details yet.
You have a plan!!!
Not really it’s still to early to say one what or the other. I’m keeping an open mind and we’ll see where the next crafty journey will take us. 🥰
You are so right, scrapping your photos is good for your soul. thank you the reminder!
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I have been with Close to My Heart for 22 years. I love all the tutorials mostly for cards. Try to stay positive..
I’m looking forward for sure. It’s still very new. I’ll concentrate on getting my album and blank pages done. 🥰
How thoughtful and sweet you are. Hugs, buddy.
Thank you friend. You are an inspiration to us all. 🥰
I know they won’t keep all of them but I do hope they keep their baby album. I need to revisit some of my books and try to finish them too. 😉
I'm very sorry to see you sad. One thought, Now you can use any of your old products. Maybe you liked a stamp set and didn't get to use it before new product came out. I look forward to our new adventure.
Same here
All the best for the future
Thank you
❤ Not about the company… So true!!
I was thankful that my ladies still want to meet every month.
@@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone mine do too. It’s the company we keep! ❤️
It is sad to see them go :(
Julie, I enjoy your videos and have learned so much from you! Definitely a trying time, but I’m glad you will continue classes!! 💕💕
It’s just something I do just need to figure with what now. 🥰
You are amazing. Scrapbooking is about memories. We can use any products available to us. I use Creative Memories.
Thank you. I just need to go out there and see what’s out there for me. 🥰
Your videos mean more than a little, they make my day and inspire me!
That is so sweet and thank you. 😊
Your work is beautiful! Find the product that works for you! I look forward to seeing the next step in your journey!
I actually liked CTMH for keeping me in one lane. The possibility are wide open now. 🥰
It is my understanding that SU! doesn't currently allow demonstrators to monetize thru You Tube. Will this have an effect on the CDT Membership Group? I agree it's not the company and would love to see a variety of products.
We still need to clarify that but I am not in control of monetization UA-cam is, so that remains to be seen!
I am right there with you. Crazy news! I am still trying to process it myself! I hate also neglected my own albums in order to focus on teaching
Still processing here to. Things happen for a reason. I guess we’ll all see soon. 🥰
