Different theory. It was revealed that Ymir was messing with Mikasas head through the whole show. The mirror man is Ymir telling mikasa to stop thinking about hypotheticals because Erens fate is sealed.
The part that confuses me the most is how did Eren know Mikasa was kidnapped and where she was at? He never even met her up until he saved her cause Grisha was telling Eren about Mikasa on the way to their house for a health check up.

Mikasa is very down to earth and despite her affection for Eren she can move on after his death This episode was to show us what was going on her mind when she accepted Eren’s death in season 1

This could play into Karl Fritz theory if we consider that Ymir is watching Mikasa and making changes based on her wishes so Eren has to discretely convince Mikasa to change her mind so Ymir puts them back on the path that leads to the Rumbling. I don't think Mikasa needs to be a supernatural figure who's conscious of what's happening. It just has to be that Ymir has taken a liking to her so Eren (and potentially Karl Fritz if you support that theory) has to use Mikasa as a proxy to manipulate Ymir.

Not to say that I don't believe in aoe but I have my own theory. 1) he refers to eren in 3rd person, so I doubt we are dealing with an eren that likes to talk about himself in 3rd person. 2) Erens power does not allow him to make new timeliness. It simply allows him to influence the one he is in. The thing about that is that this timeline clearly has an eren already in it, and he dies. Thus, there was no future in that timeline for the eren to survive. The mirror man's demeanor is much different than Erens. He refers to himself as the greatest of hypnotists and comes off as an all-knowing being. If I had to guess, he is probably some sort of entity that has some relationship with eren. I'm not referring to eren as in him currently but whoever he was before. Yes, I will go out on a limb and say eren has been in several timelines up until this point and has possibly made a bet with this man that he will make an ending where he will live. Think about it eren ever since he was little had this intense drive to go past the walls. This drive for freedom. Think back before armin met him. What did eren dream of then? Absolutely nothing. He said all he did was sit staring at the clouds. No purpose. Then, when armin came to him with this dream of freedom, he immediately clicked. A complete change of character. Eren is very unique. There has to be more to why he is like this. In all timelines, he tries to achieve freedom in some way.
All very interesting, but it could still be him, in just a different mindset trying to convince Mikasa to avoid hurting herself to save Eren, so maybe he's doing it to ensure she doesn't get herself killed.

Your theory is good but I might add one thing that it may be able to possible to visit or influence other universe of other timeline because we have seen inside the coordinate the glowing tree with its branches extending representing multiple universes and also when zeke touched Eren's head we got to see glimpses of people eren knew but in some changes such as Mikasa's black scarf and Armin and Mikasa from modern timeline and one thing was common in all of them they looked shocked while staring which they modern timeline Mikasa and Armin were shocked to see something happening to their Eren , Mikasa with black scarf staring at Eren and Freeda sensing Eren all of them having a shocked expression meaning he may be able to influence or atleast interact or see other timelines in other universes

I doubt if it's Eren, but he surely is a Godlike figure. He ties deeply into the story. I wonder what the intentions were behind this mysterious character. Edit: I used to dislike this episode, as it seemed unreal, illogical and out of place. AOT started off ridiculing religion and cheesy plot-driven magic. This made it feel real and gritty. This character nearly destroyed the well-earned and grounded rules the story set up. I'm happy to say, after watching the ending, this mirror man is actually extremely interesting all of the sudden. Who was he? I'm dying to see more. He talked about Eren's death, the end of the whole story, in season 1... Crazy

I remember when S1 first came out with AOT and I was hooked, but the truth is undeniable that AOT is very similar to CG in a lot of aspects, though mainly the ending and how Erens character changes and behaves is extremely similar to Lelouch & The Zero Requiem.
