Neptunia is a solid 7/10 series. It's never going to be the biggest or the best, it's not going to boldly innovate on the genre, and it's never going to have the AAA budget. But it will keep showing up every year or two to be silly and cute and familiar for a few weeks, and I wish we had more game series like that.
I'm glad to see the Nep games branching out, improving with each game. CH and Nep really came along way from average heavily recycled JRPG on the PS3 they started as.
Thanks for putting up this video. Because of your video it was the deciding factor of me wanting to put a playthrough of it on my channel. So, thank you so much for putting up this video. I really appreciate it, and I love the way you commented about this game. I hope you keep continuing finding these wonderful gems that you keep finding, so thank you once again. 😊
Love this series! Just hate that they lock Bathingsuits behind deluxe digital editions. So for those of us that prefer to actually own these games physically, I guess no bathing suits for us. 😪
I recently decided to pick up Neptunia sisters vs sisters as my first Neptunia game on the switch. I’m really enjoying it so far! I pre ordered this one right away, it looks great
As a big fan of the series I will definitely pick it up at some point. I had some reservations at first as I didn’t really care for the gameplay of Sisters vs Sisters compared to the rest of the series and this looked very similar. Your early impressions give me some hope they made some needed improvements and this game may be a more enjoyable experience.
It definitely got me more immediately keen than Sisters VS Sisters in the gameplay part. I haven’t played enough of either to compare the two, but I hope it lives up to yours and other fans expectations. I think it seems fun! :)
Fantastic page! New subscriber here. I just purchased the gamemaker r evolution limited edition ps5 copy since I love the neptunia series. Can’t wait for it to arrive.
Hmm, thinking about it, I do have to wonder how well "R:Evolution" serves as an entry point for newcomers. If nothing else, it's a standalone spin-off that primarily focuses on a new cast of characters. Though I guess some aspects might still need elaborating, like Adult Neptune's dimension traveling shenanigans. Though the spin-offs generally are rather safe bets, the occasional callback aside anyway. Regardless, I haven't actually started the game myself yet, still waiting for the LE to arrive, but I am eagerly awaiting it. I know the series isn't particularly liked by the Japanese RPG community over here but I at least appreciate the overall comfy nature it has. Been following the series since the very first game on the PS3. If nothing else, I'm just glad to see that there are at least some people actually enjoying it so far.
Glad you could take care of the itch! Nowaday i'm kinda scared to buy a new neptunia game since it's been ages and i'm not sure if i'll enjoy it. This one tho looks kinda nice, with good pacing! But since a few days i'm a switch only player (had to sold the ps5) so i have to be careful with performance issue especially on day one.
Hah funny i havent played one myself but i liked the story of the original one when i watched my brother play it on PS3. I felt like trying one out after reading about the premise and enjoying the characters and humor from over a decade ago. I ended up preordering this one on a whim, so we will see if this JRPG series stands out to me still or not. Thanks for the review, its funny to be in the same boat as a newcomer to the series.
This was really great. I might get neptunia game maker for the nintendo switch later on, the gameplay looks good and i also like that neptune got older and i really love her outfit too and there's new characters too. I might also get neptunia sisters vs sisters for the nintendo switch later on too. ^_^
The character designs are really great, I like older Nep’s look too (and that she’s still got her personality), and the new cast. Hope you enjoy the game when you get to it :D
@@JRPGJungle thanks and i also really love neptune's older self and the new cast too. I also think that I'll enjoy the game too when i get it later on, but first i really want to play the atelier series for the nintendo switch. I just love the art style of all of the three atelier trilogy games so much. ^_^
Yes, I will get the Nintendo Switch version of Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution. I really like some Neptunia games (Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed and Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online for example) and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution could be a great time. I can't wait.
do you make a game? Or is it a story of a game maker instead? I got a RPG maker for the switch it was buggy. Is this anything like Phantasy Star online game?
I'm hoping for a Potential Steam Release. So, I'll be holding out for that one :) I'm glad it has an English Dub Option: I just like Melissa Fahn as Neptune: it just feels right to me.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with both the Nep’s I’ve tried this year to hear everyone as I remember them on Vita; the VO cast really suit. May her and the rest voice them as long as possible! (And yay for dubs ^__^)
I played reverse and enjoyed it. Then i played few hours of sis vs sis and fount it pretty lackluster, especially the new combat system seems to have no depth. Did they improve the CS on this title? And how is the ratio of management vs rpg?
For the little I played of both since this was a first impressions, I can't really comment on if they improved it or how deep the management vs RPG is yet, moreso I just know I personally like these parts so far. However hopefully replying bumps this so someone who plays more can give more insight (and if I ever do a full review, I'll keep your comment in mind) In any case, thanks for your comment! Reverse sounds like one I maybe want to look at after Game Maker from a few people shouting it out here :))
You are such a real one for remembering Persona 2, thank you! Haha I did indeed finish it, I just didn’t review it (I don’t know which JRPGs I Played that would be in, but it’s somewhere :3). Thank you for sticking around! 🙏
I haven't to played any of these games since I was a teenager. I'll probably check this one out, this seried is so fun and lighthearted it I should really get back into it! XD
I love the series and I have all games and tons of special editions, but I'm not gonna lie: I was hesitating before buying this one after the horrendous Sisters Vs... Still bought it, though =P Hopefully they put some extra love in here.
I highly doubt that Neptunia is up my alley (generally I prefer my story games to have some bite - even if they're silly). I might find of passing merit, but I also enjoy lots of games (hell, I liked Poison Control). But While Neptunia is pretty low on my JRPG list right now, there was a Neptunia game that came out on PS Extra last month, so I've been considering giving it a try just to see if it also scratches the same itch.
Hopefully, it's in a better state than Sisters vs Sisters. While the story itself wasn't bad, the gameplay itself was rather clunky and tried way too hard to copy elements from FF7R
I played so many neptunia games, love the series
Neptunia games always deserve love.

Hopefully my LE should arrive later this week 🙏
Waah, I bet the LE is awesome! 💜 hope you enjoy the game! ^__^
@@JRPGJungle It has 2 cloth posters in it among the usual stuff :o
@hessianqrow7977 the posters are probably well worth it, the art is so good ^__^

so probably the one i go with when i finally do

Reverse is basically the chapter where everything was born (yeah it's the nth re-edition of the 1st neptunia), warmly recommended 😊

I would absolutely love this game if it ever comes to PC like other Neptunia titles. Please Idea Factory, please. 🙏🥲
