Ukrainians used naval unamanned vessels which forced Russian helicopters etc to come out to intercept them all got destroyed - in return the drones had easier time to go and hit as Russian air defence was afraid of friendly fire

Can we acknowledge that the Russians have advanced nearly every day since before Christmas, sometimes slowly, sometimes quicker, but always moving forward.
They still hold the initiative, with no sign the Ukrainians can regain it. Ukraine can no longer send it's troops abroad to train as they desert in droves. Under such manpower constraints, with falling moral, how on earth is Ukraine to regain the initiative. Everyday there negotiating position gets worse. The west can see it happening, yet is in denial, and still clings to the hope that somehow Ukraine will snatch some kind of victory that will allow the west to claim some kind of win... It's pathetic, a real sign of the intellectual decline of the west. Once the big European states ran the world, but since WW2 they have gradually been infantilesed by American leadership, this accelerated during the unipolar moment. Now we can see the results, out of the whole of Europe, only two countries managed to break free of the lock step, the rest allowed Ukraine and the US to set their foreign policy, and not their national interest.
