TAIWAN PAC-3 PATRIOT SYSTEM spotted in CHINA!?

  • This is indeed a patriot and it is Taiwanese colors. PAC-3. The text at the side reads INERT Missile Round Trainer. So its unlikely to be a LIVE missile. Probably a training version with no LIVE missiles.
The "car plate" of the truck is also in the style of the chinese car plates. 津F8238超. The company of the truck is from Xuzhou (with chinese characters can be read in front of the weapon system 徐州)
Taiwanese car plates format is different. Which is usually 3 letters with 3 or 4 numbers, or 4 numbers with 2 letters.
China car plates with have 1 chinese character (telling which province it is from) with 1 letters and then 4 numbers. Sometimes it ends with 1 more chinese character behind it.
So this photo very likely to be taken in china.
The tire of the patriot is deflated. The most likely situation is that this is a training dummy.
But more wild possibility is that, this is smuggled into China from Taiwan. (we never know).
    Interesting photo.

I mean having any SAM systems is still a very good thing regardless of whether it's good or not, they can pose threat to the PLAAF and needed to be taken care of, just don't expect them to intercept hypersonic stuffs (and idk abut its reliability). The MICs are looking to make money so the Americans are happy anyway. Plus, it's stupid to underestimate your enemies, don't be like the NAFO idiots.
Idk much about PLA's SAM systems but they have quite a lot of Russian derivatives like their local made S-300 and this war has shown how good those SAM systems actually are, provided that there are enough and well-manned so the Chinese already have good base to work with.

Unsurprising as the Mainland and Taiwan are basically the same people. It is in fact even closer than that. At least Ukrainian is a different language/dialect of the Eastern Slavic family, but is actually different than Russian. The Taiwanese just speak plain vanilla Mandarin, same language as everyone in northern China. And those who speak something else probably speak Hokkien, as that's the Chinese dialect spoken in Fujian province on the opposite coast from Taiwan. I am from Hong Kong. My grandfather fought for the KMT during WW2 and could easily have gone to Taiwan had he not been married to my grandmother who was Cantonese. Notwithstanding the ridiculous propaganda peddled by Western media, there are very large numbers of Taiwanese living on the Mainland who are doing very well. For more than a decade, China successfully poached a lot of TSMC engineers by offering higher salaries, good work conditions, apartments, etc. A lot of Taiwanese have property on the Mainland (And why not? The Mainland sees Taiwan as its own people, so everyone is equal. As in the case of Ukraine/Russia, it is the smaller entity that discriminates out of fear, not the bigger one. The Mainland is absolutely chill with Taiwan.)

Also, the first three characters on the blue sign says 蓝旗中, but I can't see the last character. The words above it are too blurry even at the higher resolution. The English text says "Traffic" followed by a word that could be "Police" (half the word is covered by the black cabin of the truck). The red banner reads 思想大解放,能力大?? few thing about those patriots.
    n 1)
somewhere around 10:00 minutes you claim that there's a mirror on the back of the truck.
that thing is NOT A MIRROR but it's one of 4 stabilizing .."legs " ( i don't know how else to call them ).
once the system is deployed ,those legs are placed to the ground and they are ensuring that wehicle is stable while it's lounching it's missiles ( it's pretty common solutions both in the west as in russia ).
    n 2)
system that you claim is in china ( one that we see from the back ) is a PAC 3 wich has 16 missiles ( 4 containers " quadpacked") .
while those that wee see in taiwan SEEM to be PAC 2 wich has 4 large missiles ( every container has a single missile.
    3) also ,patriot in china seem to be containing missiles....and it doesn't seem to have been used
    4) in my oppinion that system looks wayy too detailed / unreasonably detailed and over done for being a decoy for optical guidance weapons .
most optical guidance system are easely fooled by inflatable decoys ( you can find both russian and western infatable decoys ).
    5) military colors of a country don't differ very much and they vary based on climate and vegetation where they are going to be used...so i would'nt read too much into colors
i don't know what the story of this thing could be ...but it has to be fascinating.
if this a real thing...my best explanation is that some corrupt ukrainian officials have soled one TEL vehicle to russia.
because what we see here is not the ENTIRE SYSTEM but a SINGLE transporter errector loncher vehicle.

The leap from Ukraine selling a patriot system looking more like the taiwanese training system then their own to russia that handed it over to china is a better explanation then that china made a replica for training purposes or got their hands on a taiwanese one?

Love how the Chinese are just carrying it around on the back of a private truck. They don’t give a shot. Not even a tarp t9 cover it.

Good investigating on your part. Concerning the post, I don't see how that system could be "secretly captured" in Ukraine. Those systems are protected and supposedly in major cities like Kiev, far from the front lines. No one could "secretly" do it, and maybe no one could steal one at all there. Maybe China produces dummy Taiwan patriot batteries for spotting practice, for the Taiwan Invasion that will never happen.

You do know you showed your home address, right?... avenue/block number. Maybe you're fine with that but I would've thought people covering sensitive topics are more paranoid about these things
