Love this interview, great Taking Care of Business story. Randy is such a great story teller, and obviously great songwriter, guitar player, class act in my book. Love the way the interviewer asked and then got out of the way, so many interviewers can't do that, maybe an ego thing. Thanks for the upload!

Holy wow. I've heard Randy tell these stories before, but I've never heard him go into such great detail regarding "Takin' Care Of Business" before. That was absolutely jaw-dropping!
This is classic rock in roll interview. Randy B is the best guys to do an interview. He is an extremely honest person and does not slam anyone. A class act anywere. His songs are just as fantastic. I do not think he is a fanatic about goverment ,but he is an honest man about his country. A great man who cares about his countey and the people of his country. Another rock hall of fame band that should have been there in the 90s. Seems jan w of RS does not like Canadian rock ,no matter how much better than most of the american bands they are.
Burton Cummings in an interview talked about a kid who came back after the gig with his tape recorder and played it and Burton told the kid he had to take the tape because of copyright . So that's where the story came from
I've heard him explain that story two different ways: number one was that he was a pizza delivery guy. Number two was Norman worked at Seattle's Kay Smith Studios where Steve Miller and WAR were recording and on that night Norman D. ran interference for Randy when they were recording by stopping a pizza delivery guy from disturbing them while recording Taking Care Of Business ... He paid for the pizza, took them to the door to Studio A, and knocked on the studio door - delivering the pizza - with the full intention of asking for "a break" by allowing him to cut a piano track on the song.
Love the interview but the very end when he says that is why Steven Tyler fell off the stage is not true. He fell off the stage in Springfield Illinois because he was drunk on his ass and the band actually beat the shit out of him.
I've been watching tons of Randy Bachman interviews, every one of them is the coolest stories ever, and here, the Les Pauls, just blows my mind
