Thank you Randy for some of the greatest songs of all time. I’ve been an absolute fan since the early days of the GUESS WHO…and even saw you and the GUESS WHO in the very early 70’s in San Antonio, TX., at the Municipal Auditorium…!
Good afternoon my friends I was born in 1955 to Randy Bachman one of Canada's best music 🎶🎵 to in this era of music to Today's music 🎶 is like garbage to Am still listening to this music in august of 2024 to
Randy Bachman is beyond cool. Why the Guess Who isn’t in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a confounding mystery. I could turn on a classic radio station right now and hear the Guess Who or BTO within 10 minutes. Randy Bachman’s music is synonymous with classic rock and roll. Absolute legend and proud 🇨🇦!
I've learned to ignore the RRHOF, it's politics and a "cool kids club", and there are so many left out, it just can't be looked at as a legit hall of fame.
The first time I heard American woman live was in 76' when Burton Cummings opened for Alice Cooper . Since then I heard America woman at the TEXXAS JAM in Dallas ( Deep Purple was the headliner I believe and that STADIUM WENT INSANE !!!!! Those were the GOLDEN DAYS ! PK
I had a band with my three brothers back in the 70's, Ben, and we did that one. It was always a crowd-pleaser, especially at high school dances and wedding receptions!
They weren’t that bad. They certainly don’t look like two rock chicks from back in the days of the rock clubs. I thought they did quite well. Randy seemed to be enjoying it.
I was in a Miss Sixteen contest in Nashville, TN ( I’m 67 years young now) BTO & The J. Geils Band played there at the Fairgrounds I believe in 1973 or 1974.
RB personifies "Cool"! Thanks Randy for all the great music and a son that I only recently realized has his own place in music history. (Let me clarify, Tal made his mark over 20 years ago, I just recently realized he was your son! 😮)
Would you have preferred he not talk about himself when asked? He seems like a nice guy and is deserving of his fame. He was generous when talking about other artists and proud of his son. So you've said your peace. I'm guessing it made you feel better about yourself and filled a gap of something that's missing in your life.
Some one made comment about these gals needing to close it. Hey....ya ever been excited to meet someone? I would be excited to talk with Randy as well!
Mr. Bachman is a national hairo! A true Hawk 🦅. Good on you, Randy, for emerging from the bunker. Hopefully, you'll get some Michelin grade chicken balls on the way!
Terribly sad that Randy lost his brothers Tim and Robbie in a very short time within the past year. Still with such horrific losses Randy looks great . His voice has changed very little in 50+ years. Randy never drank or used drugs and wouldn't let band members do it either. Wow it seemed like it's 1969 in the present when he did the American Woman riffs on his guitar. Wow !! Those women missed out a lot in not being alive to see the 1970s and hear that music when new.
The women didn't know jack about classic rock or guitars. Randy explaining how he actually started playing and writing American woman on stage by accident, and they didn't have a clue what he was talking about.
These 2 interviewers have absolutely no business interviewing legend Randy Bachman. Completely clueless about the subject matter and total embarrassment.
I was thinking that too. They didn't know who Les Paul was and have no clue about him or his work. Their musical tastes probably doesn't go back more than ten years. Me, most of the time I'm listening to the 60s to the 80s.
Too weird...My first guitar teacher was a Gretsch dealer and Ive wanted a Gretsch since 64. Well im 71 and just boughtt my first Orange 6120 ...then a 5120 with TV Jones pickups .. Randys story of the writing of No Sugar Tonight is one of my favs! on a street in Berkeley Ca Its somewhere here online....hes the best storyteller of musicians I know. That Les Paul looks new! wow
The host almost embarrassing . Did no homework on their guest . Great producer of lack of a producer . Randy is kind of playing it out with class and trying not to make the host not look like complete bimbos.
Only the super rich could ever afford these near-priceless guitars. It's too bad there wasn't at least some sort of lottery system to get these into the hands of real fans.
holy shet, i've just stumbled upon the two most irritating people on the planet doing that interview. its like they learned their craft from an old Saturday Night skit.
What a GEM you are Mr. Bachman
Thank you Randy for some of the greatest songs of all time. I’ve been an absolute fan since the early days of the GUESS WHO…and even saw you and the GUESS WHO in the very early 70’s in San Antonio, TX., at the Municipal Auditorium…!
What a legend i love Randy Bachman, from earliest days till today. Let it ride.
A true Canadian legend.
Hands down Randy is one of the Best! Watching him and Turner sing and play is magical.
BTO 4EVA! 🦅
Thank you Randy for the music and the memories of my life ! 💓🤗
Memories indeed !! BTO was one of the hottest new acts in 1974, my junior year in high school. I'll be humming their tunes for awhile now.
За америкен вуман ренди надо поставиь памятник .....
RB is such a talent and seems like such a nice guy. I love his stories.
A nice man, true gentleman and a legend in his own time. I’ve had the privilege of attending a NHL Hockey Game with him in Vancouver BC.
Priceless!! 😁
I'm a little young for a Randy Bachman fan, but he's the entire reason I ever wanted to learn to play guitar. That was 27 years ago. Thank you Randy.
Randy talking about the 2nd chord of Desafinado and the hosts giving a blank look gives me joy
And they did not know who Les Paul was or why his name is on guitars. They must not listen to anything before 2000 or 2010.
Randy also mentioned Joe Pass. A true virtuoso. Pretty sure the ladies don't know who Jos Pass was. Maybe I'm wrong... but I doubt it.
I wrote Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and told them to get Randy in there 😊

Legend! Randy and his backup sing Burton did amazing things before he founded another great band.. BTO
Well Burton was not exactly a backup singer. He was the singer of Guess Who and American Woman. They were equals.
Hahaha! Nice
so great to hear Randy found his guitar -- had my 335 stolen in 88 --still crying
I love Takin Care of Business and the sound of that blasting Fender Stratocaster guitar and those chords!
So nice to hear him hosting the Elephant Graveyard radio hour too.
Randy is probably the best explainer of rock ever. Alice and Ringo too
His show vinal tap on cbc for years were just full of stories as he met every rock star in the world and had great stories.

LET IT RIDE IS A GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a band with my three brothers back in the 70's, Ben, and we did that one. It was always a crowd-pleaser, especially at high school dances and wedding receptions!
he wrote "These Eyes" 55 years ago and it was a #1 hit
@@garryallan824
no it was written by Randy Bachman
And it's officially credited to Bachman/Cummings.
Randy always looks great!
Love the video where Randy shows how to play 'Lookin Out For #1', one of my favorite songs by him.
Wow..Mr Bachman was very relaxed indeed ..nice interwiew..and interviewers also...😀👍🇸🇻
Great interview. Randy is both a brilliant player and composer. His body of work is simply remarkable.. ✌️💜
🤟🤟 🎸 👊🖤
Thanks for the video and thanks Randy B...
The best rock and roll story teller in the world right there.
All the best Randy from your Good Friend Mark From Maple 🍁 Grove Mn USA 🎉
It's good to see Randy still Touring . Two Nice Young Ladies' :) QC
You're a legend Randy. Still all the songs on my motorcycle MP3 rotation. Not Fragile!
Those two women need to know when to shut up.
They weren’t that bad. They certainly don’t look like two rock chicks from back in the days of the rock clubs. I thought they did quite well. Randy seemed to be enjoying it.
@@ponytrekker8996 Truly awful and amateurish.
True Randy fan ☝️, but I'd bet they have great cans, so Randy lettum do that
That’s for sure!
Oh, come on. It's supposed to be a fun segment. They're annoying, of course. I actually thought it was cute, and I believe Randy did too.
We have friends and family decades younger listening to classic rock
Good seeing him again I haven't seen him for quite a while. I first saw BTO in 1973 and probably saw them 8 or 10 times. 👍
I still play this song
I was in a Miss Sixteen contest in Nashville, TN ( I’m 67 years young now) BTO & The J. Geils Band played there at the Fairgrounds I believe in 1973 or 1974.
Did you win???
@@PP-gy8gg -2nd place 😉
@@ingenunis5003 Troll her online. Stay well.
Wow ! Truly a legend . What a treat . ❤
His work on the Elephant Graveyard Radio Hour rocks! 🤘
I'm so happy that I'm in his generation!!
That was an exciting interview
What a legend!! Hero!! Ladies i like your interview style..
Not bad for an old Toban. His book is a great read. His Sunday radio nights were great from vancouver
Randy should be in the Rock Hall of Fame with the Guess Who and with BTO. And by the way one of Randy's favorite artist is Jeff Lynne from ELO.
What a legend !!! 👏👏🏼👏🏻👏🏿
My first album was BTO In 74 .. a bit part of the soundtrack of my youth ..❤
RB personifies "Cool"! Thanks Randy for all the great music and a son that I only recently realized has his own place in music history. (Let me clarify, Tal made his mark over 20 years ago, I just recently realized he was your son! 😮)
its a 59 les paul i dont know what that means
Those women probably don't listen to music more than 10 or 15 years old if that and have no idea who Les Paul was.
Randy my fav
From his BTO days, I love Hold Back the Water and Gandy Dancer.
I LOVE BTO!!! 🎉🎉🎉❤
Thanks for opening for Van Halen was fun
WOW WOW WOW! What a story!
I never knew Randy was Guess Who! Very cool!
Where've you been?
Just kidding. Glad you found this out.
The best of BTO on 8-track tape wore in put my son !
My favorite is "Blue Collar"
Fun interview 😃
Fantastic I saw him at brassy's Cocoa Beach in the 80s❤
I seen him in the 70s at Long Beach area in California
Everyone, stand up and -------> *_"Clap For The Wolfman"_*
No one is more impressed with Randy Bachman than Randy Bachman.
Finally someone who has described what has eluded me for decades. Thank you.
Nonsense. Bachman is a songwriting and guitar legend. Well-deserved.
@@BeatlesCentricUniverse No one, least of all me, is denying that. However, I still stand fully by my comment.
Exactly....I'm surprised I don't see this comment more often. I'm always put off by his interviews....
Would you have preferred he not talk about himself when asked?
He seems like a nice guy and is deserving of his fame. He was generous when talking about other artists and proud of his son.
So you've said your peace. I'm guessing it made you feel better about yourself and filled a gap of something that's missing in your life.
Burton Cummings is still in Winnipeg.
he pronounces it Back-man. Heard interview with him years ago. He said you can pronounce it anyway you want as long as the checks clear.
He said in Canada its pronounced Back man. here in u s bachman.
Randy's legendary lost and found guitar is NOT the Gibson LP Sunburst in this segment. It is a Chet Atkins 6120 Gretsch Orange - What's going on?
Man, I love Randy’s podcast on the elephant graveyard. Go check it out if you get a chance I mean it’s absolutely amazing.
You rule. I just looked him up to see if anyone would mention the show in the comments. Whoever's behind that channel is a genius.
Some one made comment about these gals needing to close it. Hey....ya ever been excited to meet someone? I would be excited to talk with Randy as well!
These hosts remind me of the Schwetty balls sketch on SNL
Always love hearing Randy speak, the female hosts almost ruined a good interview. They are the weakest link.
I sold Randy Bachmann a pair of Teletronix LA-2As in the 1990s and then I had to teach his engineer how to refurbish them.
you poor soul....what a troubling saga! hope u got thetapy?
Holy shit!! A 1959 Les Paul!! The holy grail of electric guitars!!! Five and six digit price!!
thats a million dollar guitar. easily.
I dont think thats the exact one ...looks too new. Hes smart enough not to take it out. What a wonderful guy!!
American Woman written at the Glenbriar Curling Club in Waterloo Ontario Canada.
Randy is 👍
Randy should also take credit for Elvis adopting TCB as his logo.
Amen!
Mr. Bachman is a national hairo! A true Hawk 🦅. Good on you, Randy, for emerging from the bunker. Hopefully, you'll get some Michelin grade chicken balls on the way!
The viking doing a sharon stone impression to get free concert tickets?
You caught him out of the bunker!
Terribly sad that Randy lost his brothers Tim and Robbie in a very short time within the past year. Still with such horrific losses Randy looks great . His voice has changed very little in 50+ years. Randy never drank or used drugs and wouldn't let band members do it either.

I think Burton is um. experienced...and dabbled in some tnings...
The pain one endures to appear on a bush league show like _New York Living._
❤
For those who thought Randy was settling down and retiring from performing, well, you ain't seen nothin' yet
The women didn't know jack about classic rock or guitars. Randy explaining how he actually started playing and writing American woman on stage by accident, and they didn't have a clue what he was talking about.
BTO should be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. That organization is embarrassing itself.
You should have listened to a Randy Bachman song before you interviewed him. Then you could have a "real" conversation.
That is the worst Randy Bachman interview of all time
Burl Ives played a Les Paul? How cool is that?

These women dont have a clue about Randy.
It's a 59 Les Paul. She says "I don't know what that means but I love it" Do a little homework before interview!
I bet those two girls have no idea what they are talking about.
American Woman, You aint seen nothign yet - great songs!
That 59 Burst with a Bigsby would be worth, what?... maybe 250-300 thousand? Joe Bonamassa would buy it.
The host almost embarrassing . Did no homework on their guest . Great producer of lack of a producer . Randy is kind of playing it out with class and trying not to make the host not look like complete bimbos.
How he lost three brothers and I know that's family that's family from covid just went into the airwaves and that was it

First question...."how you feeling???" Wtf is that.
They think that just because someone his age and still working is going to drop dead soon. Not cool !
These interviews are acting like they know who he is talking about. LOL
