Dimebag would laugh is ass off if you called him dirtbag. He would share his last beer with you and make you feel like you weren't hanging out with the greatest guitar player ever. Let you crash at his home then he would throw fireworks while you your sleeping , give you a shot of whiskey and let you sleep some more. After all that he would make sure get home safe. He beefed with nobody. 100% good time is what Dimebag was always about. Truly tragic what happened to him.
I saw them in NY when I was 19 I'm 52 now and Im telling you Dimebag was one of the nicest people you could ever meet hands down but he was the most ruthless guitarist's I've ever heard this brother was on some you ain't ready this type of guitar playing!!! I miss him so much
Notice Pantera feels the energy of the crowd chanting at the breakdown part and they alter the timing/tempo of the breakdown slightly to synchronize with the crowd. Absolutely incredible moment.
Just after sanctions loosened up enough. The first American thrash concert in Russia that I know of. The Russian people only knew these bands from mostly bootleg tapes, and Pantera was still new internationally.
The stars were aligned when this set was recorded. I'll quote Phil in a interview he did talking about this show. "Just a little ol' band from Texas". Here we 21 years later still marveling over Dimes solo and IMO the heaviest breakdown ever recorded. Rest In Power Vinnie and Dime 🤘🤘
The fact that you showed so much respect for Dime and Vin says it all. Maybe you didn't know it at the time, but you're now a huge metal fan. Welcome, and thank you mirroring the reaction that basically all metal fans have for Pantera and the brothers Abbott. Saw them a handful of times back in the day and still waiting to see a band that carried that much energy.
Hope you enjoy this! These guys are metal gods! I miss them, been a fan since 1991. I'm very happy I got to see them live several times. No one else will have that chance. Very sad
@another pizza Well yea, millions of people have seen them live worldwide. I was referring to the fact that they will never exist again. We are the lucky ones that had a chance
Didn't see this show because, well, it was in Moscow. Did get to see them four times before it was over. Phil absolutely commanded the stage. Most amazing live show ever.
Man your reaction here takes me back to the first time I heard Pantera back in 2001 when I was 15. Loved them ever since. Listen to them when I work out and even listened to Cowboys From Hell today as it's the 30th anniversary of that album being released which just blows my mind how fast time is moving.
Pantera songs? PRIMAL CONCRETE SLEDGE, MOUTH FOR WAR, FUCKING HOSTILE, HERESY, PISS, COWBOYS FROM HELL, CEMETARY GATES, THIS LOVE, A NEW LEVEL, HOLLOW, and Im sure I have more but theres a start! One of the best groups to ever exist! Its so sad that we will never be graced with their talent again. Thank you Pantera for making the music world what is. They changed music in every way and Im grateful. High School would never have been as amazing as it was without them!!! \m/ \m/
RESPECT 🤘🏴🤘🏴🤘🏴🤘🏴🤘 THE BEST METAL BAND EVER EVER EVER . RIP DD AND VP 😪😪😪😪🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 . MOUTH OF A WAR official video This love official video
Dirtbag is what made me want to play guitar. I mean Dimebag lol. He was the master of the wammybar. I don't know how his guitar ever stayed in tune lol.
@@adamgilmore7081 yes it did. He had an extreme case of divebombs and pulling back on the bar though won't stay in tune forever. That's why you have a guitar tech I guess though.
I used to have a dime signature model, not even the top of the line one, you could TORTURE the whammy bar and the guitar would stay in tune. Unlike my stratocaster that goes out of tune if you look at the whammy bar
Love your energy lol you keep me laughing and entertained at the same time. Wish I would have seen Pantera back in the day, but never got to see them live unfortunately. Keep rocking my bro ✌❤💫
This is so great, we take a minute to appreciate each other's trips, and then we're good, we learn about each other and we don't have to destroy one another. We're all just people man.
Thanks bro!!! Yes, the energy is thru the Fkng roof..! This is why I love Metal. Swaggy, you Rock, and I love this reaction. Do check out "Painkiller" by Judas Priest. You'll love it too.
Saw pantera live at Brixton back in the day. My shirt literally got ripped off my body. Had to walk home from bus station about 5 miles , topless....in a light snow flurry.... Luckily police were driving by and have me a ride home...good times
Swaggy, your ass was being kicked 15 secs in. Youre going to really enjoy the Pantera journey, & we all look fwd to watching you do it too mate. Next Cowboys from hell ozzfest. Well all 4 songs from that video.
Every time I saw them live, I was sore for a week after. Between the mosh pits and just plain headbanging. Just sore, no voice, bloody, sweaty, hurting. Goddamn I miss that shit.
9:56 My god, our man hit the pause button right before one of if not the greatest moments in the history of metal. I know he didn't realize it, but I was like "What the fuck is you doing, man?"
Bruh... This the best reaction to Domination... Hands down! Love your energy! You can avoid that whole "Dirtbag" slip of the tongue by dropping the "bag" and just call him "Dime". Which is quite fitting! 10/10 I know you mean no harm by it but Dime was one of the most Caring, Funny, and Honorable human beings ever! See what I did there... CFH!
I think this was just Pantera. The crowds were like that back then because it was right after the fall of the Soviet Union. They couldn't do that before.
I still find funny that people goes nuts over that crowd, seems like they wish they were their instagram followers :P this is a reminder how insane the metal followers were back in the 90s, specially coming from Russia and other european countries, those metal festivals in europe were crazy big ( still is )

U know him?
Or knew him I should say
Yep. I smoked a J with him on the deck of a river boat casino in 2003. Dude didn't have any security and talked to everyone.
He can NEVER be duplicated or replaced...he is legend.
I WAS THERE IN PERSON. I was in the US Army in Europe at the time.
totally wow, was it the best and a little tense and scary? or alot tense..alot awsome above all i bet. that is super fucking awsome
Bro that must be something to cherish!
Broooooooo that's so awesome!!!!! Good 4 u 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Where were you stationed Rowdy
I got to see Pantera, Slayer, and Ozzy in Tacoma WA when i was stationed at Ft. Lewis!! Tried to go AWOL and get on the bus with Vinnie lmao
Notice Pantera feels the energy of the crowd chanting at the breakdown part and they alter the timing/tempo of the breakdown slightly to synchronize with the crowd. Absolutely incredible moment.

And now kids listen to Cardi B and Argue about their Genitals. How far we've come
The concert was free

I guess it's pretty off topic but does anybody know a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Jacoby Theo Flixportal :P
@Guillermo Brett Thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it !
@Jacoby Theo No problem :)
The opening guitar riff on “A New Level”, will crush you 🤘🏼
Liked this video as soon as you started listening to the song. Pantera is the greatest musical group EVER!!!!! Period. They brought it!!
Pantera is by far my favorite band of all time and seeing you enjoy their energy is great. Cemetery Gates is my favorite.
Melt. Your. Face. Off. 💯I’ve heard this song hundreds of times. I still get goosebumps.

Best breakdown ever!

@ excellent bands in their own right! I'm an old guy LOL I'm 47. So I was all about Megadeth until Pantera came out. My two favorite bands all time
@another pizza Well yea, millions of people have seen them live worldwide. I was referring to the fact that they will never exist again. We are the lucky ones that had a chance
@another pizza lol ok. Awesome. Makes no sense tho lol. Sorry my comment offended smh
Pantera is the best way to start the day. Gets that sleepiness right out of your system.
Yep it what I’m doing right now at 730 getting ready for work it’s always a great day when you start like this
Didn't see this show because, well, it was in Moscow. Did get to see them four times before it was over. Phil absolutely commanded the stage. Most amazing live show ever.
Mouth For War, Slaughtered & This Love are great Pantera options. You can’t go wrong though since they have ZERO weak songs
" This Love" Is very underrated in my opinion, one of their best
Walk & Cemerty Gates
I will throw in Hallow and I'll Cast a Shadow
Living through me is better
Revolution is my name

Swaggy went from no knowledge of Pantera to number one fan in 5 days. It be like that.
Love your reactions and the respect for the Abbott brothers!
You called him Dirtbag after the solo lol
@Mark Hammond I know it was a mistake. I thought it was funny too. I'm sure Dime would have gotten a laugh out of it as well
@Mark Hammond facts.. we came from the ground.. we go back to the ground lol.
Mark Hammond I’m kinda wondering the same thing lol.
Funny thing is, I think he was actually trying to (or started) a clothing company called Dirtbag
Mark Hammond I completely agree I don’t take offense to it at all. I literally had tears rolling out of my eyes 😂
45 years and I still listen to Pantera like this .... thank you for this reaction ...
Yeah, this shit was Epic! If this shit don't get you hyped, you're already dead. This is crazy!

Floyd Rose kept his guitar in tune.

Domination is how we started house parties. 🤘
I bet your house parties resulted in a lot of spilled drinks and busted furniture.😂

My home boys chain about to knock him out with him vibing like that haha
Cemetery gates, Goddamn Electric, Revolution is My Name
What's hilarious is that a lot of these hip hop dudes, end up loving these classic metal acts even more than some of us seasoned Metal heads 🤣.
I seen Pantera at the vulgar display of power tour and it was the best show I've ever seen in my life .listen to this Love or new level
