you call this competition to the wynn? sure restaurant are on scale but the hotel rooms are nothing compare to the new wynn room and the encore standard room blows these room of in the dust.
Very informative and thorough review as always! That glass shower door was so clear I was afraid Ashden would have walked right through it! Thanks again for another fine production. Keep up the fantastic work in 2024
Great video and intro. I have been going to Vegas since 2008, so it is nice to actually see it open. Especially since it has changed owners/names and then back to its original name.
I was there on Christmas day and the table minimums were $15. Got tier matched MGM Gold to Fontainebleau Gold on opening night; they only did that for the first couple of hours. Lots of nice benefits for gold. Yes, I was there opening night during NFR week, and also for Christmas weekend.
This is a great video. I’ve been watching a ton of them lately. We booked for the July 4 holiday and I got an incredible rate on a gold king best view up on the 54th floor and above, on Expedia half price of what you will pay at the hotel website. Can’t wait!
Howdy peeps ! Definitely like the look of this property. The room was very nice too and I love me a dimmer switch in the bathroom as lighting makes all the difference in your confidence before heading out for the night lol. I live in south Florida so have been to the Miami location many times . Can’t wait to stop into the FB Vegas on my next trip in late April. Cool video …thanks for sharing 😎😎😎
I was super excited to wake up to this video! My husband and I are literally flying to Vegas today to stay at the Fontainebleau for the Christmas holiday! I am so excited, and we will also be in a Gold King, so it was nice to see all of the details 🎉. Thank you for another awesome video, and I was happy to see that the two of you were able to do it together 😊
Would like to see an aerial intro drone clip as to the location of this and other resorts in the vicinity of your posts. Otherwise brilliant as always. Merry Christmas
Blocks are rather hard to estimate in Las Vegas, but they're practically right next door to each other. There's nothing in between but a single vacant lot.
The gold room shower looks like the standard rooms at Bellagio tower, I like the blue room shower better since it has a tub in addition to walk in shower
I visited that Friday as well. The property is absolutely stunning! I didn't stay the night but your room was gorgeous as well. I think the the blackjack is 6-5 so playing there is a deal breaker. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay there for the pool and other amenities and gamble elsewhere. I'm thinking the price point is good and better rates could be had in the future. Great review as always!
6:5 blackjack is what it is. It's still a better bet than almost any other game in the casino, and it's pretty tough to find a seat at a 3:2 table that's under $50/hand anywhere on the strip. Thanks for watching!
Loved the video! Very informative. I remember watching the tiny dump trucks moving back and forth from my vantage point at the Hilton Grand Vacations Resort back in 2008! Can’t wait to check it out.
I look forward to seeing the FB on my next trip to Vegas. I have been to the FB in Fla when I was playing pro sports. I receive free rooms at the other resorts in Vegas so I will only visit. Why pay when others are free.
Agree with you on the Taco place. Ate there - the food was ok but $7 for a taco. The next day I went to Tacos El Gordo, a short walk away across from Resorts World, and their tacos were $4 and the drinks were not $6 like FontainBleu. Taco El Gordo product is a lot better - more meat and flavor for less cost but I guess Roadside is in a hotel so it's going to be more expensive. I stayed at Sahara when FontainBleu opened and its not that far a walk - just a few minutes away. Rumors on the street are Wynn is going to develop the former Frontier site and the Howard Hughes Corp is going to build a hotel and casino atop Fashinon Show Mall so that may bring more life to the North Strip and bring more traffic to FontainBleu and Resorts World.
Great review, it seem like a very classic hotel with lots of restaurants options to choose from. The rooms seem more on pair to the Bellagio and Resort worlds hotel, but compared to the new wynn rooms and the space and elegance of the Encore rooms not in the same league.
We've stayed at Bellagio and Crockfords at Resorts World, and the fit and finish of these two rooms at Fontainebleau is nicer. On par with Wynn, perhaps not. But from a room quality perspective it's not THAT far behind. Thanks for watching!
Think this is your best video yet! It is always better when you do these videos together. Looks very snazzy and the music was quality. Loved the rooms and the blue wall coloring. The Gold room was class! Great work! With the money going into these northern strip properties maybe the reality is that the center of the strip is moving further north and will continue to become more interconnected as time goes by. The only thing saving the southern (MGM) end are the new sports stadiums.
Lol, at 6;22 your crowd shot has people walking backwards. 😀I had to look twice to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Seriously though, this is the best video I've seen on this hotel. Your intro was documentary level and I think they should use it in their promos (paying you of course). Your attention to detail and great camera work have actually helped change my opinion about staying there. I had the impression from other reviews that it was rather bland but think it might be worth a try now. My one complaint about the rooms is that the Bleu has a tub and shower even though it is the smaller, less lux room and the gold only has that huge shower. Does the water even spray far enough to fill that huge cavernous stall in the gold bathroom? First Bellagio took out their tubs and now this, lol. I am old and like a luxurious bathtub to relax in.
Sometimes you've got a video clip of a "down" escalator ride and you want to put it into a video as if you were going up! A few people have noticed that too. Full disclosure, documentary portion of the intro was our edit of a Fontainebleau production they have on their website and play on the home screen of their TV systems in the hotel. We liked it and decided to use some of it in the intro. Thanks for watching!
The front door handle to the fountainblue should match the tie logo all plastered throughout the hotel. But unfortunately it is a shape of funky letter "F."
Visited there in May 2023. Found it beautiful. And stuffy. Casino bartenders acted as if they were doing me a favor by serving me. The casino employees across the street at Resorts World are friendly and attentive. Fontainbleau has seen the last of my business.
Loved this guys and I'm excited to visit Fontaine Bleau however I still have major doubts on whether it can be successful beyond attracting convention based guests due to it's North strip location and further too whether Vegas even needs another ultra expensive top end resort given it already has Wynn, Cosmo, Bellagio and Venetian for that.
Also sad that it doesn't have a poker room so for me I'll probably visit once and that will be that unless it can attract some top tier entertainment which convinces me otherwise.
Great video! The hotel looks like the kind of place I would def walk through and take pictures of, but not buy anything or gamble. They are really hoping there’s a ton of very rich people who want to basically burn their money there. I think this place is going to struggle a lot more than Resorts World.
2 questions : 1 ) Is there a Coffee Maker in the Room ? 2) If you touch any of the water bottles in the cooler or fridge...is it like 14 bucks per water bottle?
There is no coffee maker, no. The mini bar is pressure sensitive, yes. But like all rooms, if you get charged for something you didn't consume you're not required to pay it. You might be charged for using the fridge for your own use, but that's not necessary in this room because it has a cooling drawer.
The intro for this video was pretty snazzy - cool to see you pay homage to the Miami origins. Feel like FB marketing sucks. Don't know why they did not tie in their Miami roots more to the Las Vegas property. They should have had something about how they started in Miami, define the entertainment standard and luxury there and now that is being imported to Las Vegas. The Miami property is absolutely beautiful. Did not stay there but visited the hotel to check it out when I was in Miami and it was well worth the visit/trip.
The documentary portion of the intro is an edited version of their video. Highly recommend going to the Fontainebleau website and watching the entire thing, it's exactly what you're talking about.
@24kgoldplatedvermeil yes - without the theming these places all seem very similar. FontainBlue, although nice, does not do a lot to distinguish itself from places like Resorts World and Aria. The new places seem like nice large Hiltons or Marriotts you would find in any other city with more restaurants and a casino.
I'm happy they didn't stick with "the drew". That sounds so of-the-times. 30 years from now they would have regretted that decision, even if every interior inch remained the same. The current name fits precisely. Great video!
Different owners. "The Drew" was chosen by a short-lived ownership group that hardly made any progress in the time they owned the property. Once Jeff Soffer got his hands back on the property it was a foregone conclusion the Fontainebleau brand would be back. Thanks for watching!

@@CaledoniaScotland surely you’re familiar with other anglicized words, right? The thing about a name (especially a company name) is that the owner of the name determines how to pronounce it. So no, they’re not “wrong.” Thats what they want, so that’s what it is.
Picked a week in Feb where FB and Wynn are not super busy (18-23). FB is about $60 less than Wynn/Encore. This does not seem material to a high spender who comes to these resorts and Wynn is currently the king of the high end and their customer service is currently second to none. Wonder what the FB strategy is on tapping into these high end customers - are they aiming to have superior nightlife/clubs and/or are they going after high end gaming? I can see FB bringing in Convention business because they do seem to have a lot of convention space and are adjacent to the Convention Center but still wonder what the plan for the rest of the business is. Wonder how much cross promoting they are doing with their Miami customers and if these people are poised to drop $ in the casino?
This is my impression of this hotel....Came here on the first weekend open, this hotel is beautiful , classy , elegance ...I like this hotel, the floor seem cozy and warm, NOT like the resort World. When you walked in , its a huge globe , then huge empty mall, spread out. Ft Bleau the gamble floor is NOT huge , i think they focus on the look , the elegance , they want to bring in the rich people, the celebrity ...One thing i noticed at this hotel , a lot of high end escort...a lot of escort women walking around with body guard , acted like they are VIP . I did not see a lot of those at Bellagio, Wynn, or Encore ...But you do see a lot of high end escort here !
Why has everyone been calling it “Fountain Blue”? Are we suddenly interpreting the French language? Do we go and see Les Miserables but call it ‘The Miserables’ or ‘The Wretched’, no, we say lay miseraballs :)😂. Thanks for showing us the property though!!!!!
Because that’s the way the hotel named itself. There is such thing as anglicized pronunciation, and this particular hotel began calling itself that nearly 70 years ago. Calling it anything other than “fountain blue” is incorrect, not the other way around. Thanks for watching.
Meh not at all impressed. Really think they over crowded their rooms with furniture. If I’m staying that far north strip, I’d rather stay at RW Conrad. I guess with 20 years to complete, I was expecting way more. Not sure we will be visiting FB any time soon. Great video tho. Thanks you two 🥂
I was worried it was going to be like Resorts World which is not ugly by any means just not for me. This one though is freakin awesome!! I cant wait to get all up in there lol. Thanks for the show!

Best Vlog of Fountainebleau
The place looks fantastic! The casino floor has to have the tallest ceilings on the strip.
In our opinion the most elegant casino on the strip.

@24kgoldplatedvermeil the hotel chain name, the art style of the hotels, are inspired from the castle of Fontainebleau, in France. Ah Americans…
