As a sailor and active diver I spent nearly 5 years sailing and diving Mexico and the South Pacific. It is amazing the percentage of sea creatures that have human garbage and fishing gear attached to their bodies.
Very saddening. We treat the ocean terribly.
Ohh 😦 that’s awful to hear such a painful truth! 😔
😢😢😢
amazing is not the word I wouldve chose. More like, sad or disgusting.
Ugh…. If only humans were more considerate of this earth!!!
I only thought small fish cleaned off the sharks skin - never knew big fish did it too! It's amazing how the white doesn't want to eat it! How does he 'know' to leave it alone this time and that it wants to clean him. It's so cool.
Me too. Pretty cool to see bigger fish do it as well.
As someone who grew up on nature documentaries and Steve Irwin I love the work you do ❤
Thank you so much! That means a lot.
Amazing footage!
Thank you for all the work you do, it makes a big difference to me and I'm sure thousands of others.
Many thanks. I appreciate your support!
The 'cuda is probably pissed that the white shark tried to eat him in the other vid you posted, and he's getting back at him.
You have caught many firsts. Only someone with your tenacity and devotion to your work could bring such substantial finds! Nice job!
Thanks so much. I wish UA-cam distribution was better. Struggling to get the views these videos need to make it worth my while these days.
@@TheMalibuArtistPlease don't give up. You're the best out there right now!
I don't know if you heard of chafing before Carlos, but that is a temporary relation between fish and sharks when fish rub themselves against the shark's skin to relieve an itching. Even smaller sharks seek out larger sharks (like whale sharks) to get a good scratch. It's very fun to watch, though; as is your work.
Thanks Travis, I did a full video about chafing a few months ago. It's pretty cool behavior.
G'day from Perth in Western Australia 👋
Am looking forward to this 😎
Love your videos! 🤙
✌️❤ 🇦🇺
That was incredible footage of the barracudas and the ray swimming through them! I imagine you must be capturing so much never before seen!
I didn’t know what to expect from the title knowing what razor sharp teeth Barracudas have. How fantastic to find out that indeed the “bite” was beneficial to the white shark to rid it of external parasites.
I love that nature finds ways to have these symbiotic relationships between creatures and they innately know. The knowledge is just there.
Thank you as always Carlos, for the beauty and the education ❤ 🦈
Thank you for following along! I really appreciate you take the time to comment every time. It really helps. Views are significantly down these days, so I'm likely going to have to start making either less videos or big changes. It's concerning.
@@TheMalibuArtist you are so welcome. I actually shared this video with about 10 of my friends on Facebook Messenger with a note about the other videos you do and told them to check out your videos because they were so amazing. I’m really glad I did that now Carlos. ❤️
I will definitely share more now I know the situation. It may help you to know it’s happened to another animal video creator too. There are a few saying the “algorithm” has been changed. Perhaps that maybe why? Just a thought. Take care. You bring joy to me and many others. ❤️
Learn more everyday when I watch your videos and seeing the shark batting a piece of wood with its dorsal fin is a great moment I remember. Barracudas following a shark shows again if needed that shark's especially GWS are not just killers they have other sorts of relationships with sea life. Thank you
You always have the most interesting and amazing videos. I hope that fishing line on the sharks dorsal fin doesn’t slowly become embedded and amputate the fin. Those barracuda schools were huge. I didn’t know they even did that. Thanks for another great video.
Every single time I watch one of your videos, I am amazed at the obvious amount of time and work that has gone into the making of your videos. Thank you.
Another wonderful film. Thanks for continuing to educate & entertain.
The Barracuda tails sparkle in the water. A glittery gold which is gorgeous! Thank you again for all your time and footage.
Thanks for the link to that study, Carlos, great source! A few other interesting ones on their site 👍🏼

Beautiful scenery, very informative and a touch of nice music. All very well balanced, it was a pleasure to watch. Thank you for taking your time to put it together. It made me subscribe to your channel.
Really like your drone photages of sharks❤
And the marine biologists too I think😊 learn every time something new
I love your videos. Congratulations
Your work is so remarkable. You'll go down as one of the greatest white shark researchers there ever were...So the sharks serve as convenience store owners when other fish just want to stop by for a little snack.
Too kind! Thank you!
Your work is amazing. So positive and interesting, just what the world needs. Love from Australia 😊
You do an amazing job with your video's your one of the few narrators i enjoy listening to
this is awesome new subscriber

I believe this is in my top 10 favorite of your videos .
Well done, sir !💙🙏🏼🌎
Beautifully filmed.
Thanks!
Great video thanks
I’m living far from the sea , but I love watching those awesome videos .
The videos are therapeutic 🙏
Great content!
Such a great channel 👍👏
Thank you so much 👍
Loving your channel, I subscribed! More orcas please.
Great vid as usual. The kelp footage & especially the larger adult sharks cruising through is incredible. There has been a widely held belief that kelp forests & areas offer sanctuary & safety from large White Sharks. Recent adaptation and hunting strategy or just another case of something rarely witnessed which has always occurred ? Who knows…..beautiful footage as always.
More great content!
I really love your videos. Greetings from Limburg Netherlands
Glad you like them!
Interesting and beautiful to see and to always learn!!! Thanks for the effort,to let us see the beauty of nature!!!👍👍💯💯♥️
These videos are always so beautiful.
I love our wild oceans. I had an encounter with a barracuda in Virgin Gorda while snorkeling. It was hanging out under rock shelf. Over thirty years ago, but still remember. I even got an underwater photo. Grateful for the chance encounter.
You footage and research has been INVALUABLE. Please stay the course, if you can afford yo do so!
Great video
Rays display effortless grace gliding through the ocean. Rays also seem sure of the fate that awaits them while approaching a white shark.
I have a newly found respect for rays.
This is so cool
truly an artist
Stunning 🥰
Absolutly fantastique videos. Great work, nice comment voice, nice music. Very relaxing.
Fantastic 💎
Thank you! Always thankful for your comments and support Mel! Cheers!
I can't tell if I keep coming back for the incredible production value or the bottomless pool of knowledge.
I'm thinking both.
I just wanna say, I hope to become a shark biologist, as I’ve always had a great interest in sharks and their behavior, and every time I see you post a new video it’s a video I greatly look forward too. Thank you for your work, and don’t stop doing what you’re doing bro
Thanks man! I really appreciate that. I['m going to keep doing what I'm doing, but it's tough.
Que grande es Milei ! Me encanta !
Sharks a lot smarter then we think. Thank you for video!
Brilliant👏
Thank you!
This is so amazing....
I love your videos and always watch them - with regard to the shark trailing the kelp from its dorsal fin, I have another possible explanation. Yes it could definitely be a fishing leader but from my observation I think it might possibly be a radio tag that has entangled the kelp. It was hard to tell but there seemed to be a bulbous apparatus attached that looks similar to a tagging / tracking device. It is certainly not definitive but I know there are numerous tagging / tracking programs active in the US and around the world. I was an avid offshore fisherman for many, many years and follow these important efforts still. Just a thought ? Thank you for what you do - your work is vitally important to our understanding to these beautiful animals.
So amazing and beautiful! 🤩 💙💙💙
Too bad it isn't possible to free that poor shark from his "fin ornament" 😔
Thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤
It’s amazing the time that you take to look at these creatures they scare me to death. I’ll never be that close.ty
That's a fish hook and line dragged through the kelp....these damn fisherman.

The camera on the drone does an excellent job
very cool
