Bending that thing back is not what is fixing it, its actually residue on the little bump on the underside of the copper piece where it contacts the bottom contact. The act of taking out the copper piece you're inadvertently cleaning it with your fingers etc without realising. I bent back the copper bit as shown in video, and then the switch wouldn't go in far enough to click when I put it back together, so had to pull it apart a second time and bend it back to original. The double clicking issue was fixed regardless. That's my experience with a G602 mouse, if it helps anyone.
@@TheRockinDonkey Well you still would need to either wait for the new mouse to be deliveried, or pick your car to drive/walk somewhere they sell it.. I gues it only depends on where you wanna use your time ;)
I come back to this video every now and then cause I gotta fix my mouse or others and I want to thank you for such a clear and well shot video! Thank you! It works perfectly
For everyone wanting to try this: Be aware that putting back the little copper spring is harder than it looks! At least for me it was, and it was by far the most difficult part on this whole mission! I got it done however, just a few minutes ago. Will see how long it stays fixed now, because with a lot of fixes, the problem comes back anyway after a few days or even hours. Will give an update soon!
@@mayanksingh891 Second day now and it still remains to be fixed! So far, so good. However, I rather give an update then in 2 weeks or something, cause long-time perspective should be more relevant.
@@Its_Marcus it surprisingly still works! I tried to fix it before by changing the refresh rate, blowing air into it but those things only fixed it for at best, 12+ hours, then the issue came back. Now however, the double click issue is still gone. Didn't happen once so far! The only thing is...I find this method to be actually pretty tricky, because I had such a rough time putting the clip back into it. And also, it seems I bend it a little bit too far, so that the sound of my left mouse click changed a little bit. It sounds now less damped. But it's really a tiny difference that I don't even notice anymore. I personally think, if one decides to anyway buy a new mouse because of the double click issue, which I wanted to do 2 weeks back, one can definitely try it. Cause then there's anyway nothing to lose and it actually fixed it, in my case! Oh and before I forget it: What I didn't mention is, that I also cleaned the little copper spring with WD-40! And I also sprayed WD-40 on the switch sensor itself. WD-40 evaporates super fast, so it's no problem. Just wait a minute to let it dry, then put it back together. I did that, after reading here in the comments that what apperently fixes it by this method, is rather the cleaning of the copper spring, instead of the bend.
Update after more than a month now: It is still fixed! Surprisingly. And before I actually had huge issues and tried everything but this fix was definitely worth doing for me.
Man ILY saved my G603. That mouse gets toast every 6 months.. had no problems under warranty as i replaced it everytime, but now that its out of warranty, you are a life saver.
Everything were ok until I started to assemble the switch. Those copper things drove me nuts! Thanks for the video btw. This is the video I was looking for.
Here I'm... Again... To fix my G502 falling apart. Well this time I used some circuit contact cleaner spray without taking out the damn copper thing inside the switch. It works, for now... Tested 500 times each switch in mouse tester site, 0 double clicks.

Oh so I just had to clean off the oxidized layer of the copper "leaf"? That's really interesting and really helpful; since it took me so long to get the leaf back in place. 😀👍 Quick question, the contact point you're referring to is where the leaf goes up and down right? As shown in 3:37
Thank you SO much! as another commenter has already pointed out, there is no need to take off the metal clip. you just need to clean it (i used pliers and a tiny piece of cotton, put it back with no hassle (with the help of the video) and got it back to working after YEARS of faulty behaviour. so happy to have my mouse back!!! cheers to everyone. hope the information gets to everyone that needs it.

Words of advice and a BIG warning. Make sure your working environment is close off(like a corner of a wall or a close off front and two side) and not messy. Chances of losing your tiny white click(when opening) and the switch springing loose across the room is 50/50. Good luck of finding it if your room is messy. Cutting off the 2 or 3 corners while working will help you find those piece that flew off much easier. Also don't try this if you don't have a proper tweezers because putting the switch back is not easy without one. Also good to have another old mouse with a spare switch because chances of the spring breaking if you're not very very careful. Also make sure to know the proper step to put the switch back follow the video 3:03(DO NOT GUESS) or else you will get frustrated because you have been doing it wrong. Been through all that and have done it many times.
A trick I learned from the gun community, when working on a piece where a spring has to be removed/replaced, do it in a large clear plastic bag. I had a Glock spring launch up on top of a bookcase. I'm going to rewatch this video and give the mouse cleaning a try. My right button is driving me nuts.
This is literally the BEST video on seeing how that copper tab goes in and how it's held in place. But... That flat copper spring tab took the better half of 2 hours to get back in and I still don't know exactly how I did it or how it stays in place, but I know it's correct because the mouse click works (thank god). I haven't had it double click yet, but I've seen multiple videos saying that small bend should fix it, so fingers crossed. I think if I was going to attempt to fix the switch again, I'd just go the extra mile and solder in a new one. That tab is just a bigger pain in the ass than it's worth and I can get a 6 pack of switches for $8 on amazon (probably way cheaper if I shop around). Moral of the story is... don't play those stupid cookie clicker style games because they destroy your switches.
Thanks i tried it and it works for me .. didn't know you could just fix that double click problem so easily.. it took me good 30 mins just to put the pieces back cause it too hard for my eyes.. so anyways its great that i don't have to buy a new one with this simple solution..
The resolution on your video is outstanding, and aided me to position the spring correctly on my 11 year-old Performance MX mouse (same switch). Thanks for posting.
Before you change the switches with time-consuming soldering work, give them another chance with contact spray. A quick spray and then a few quick clicks before the creeping solution has evaporated. Worked wonderfully for me!
I used to rebuild switches for Swift Microscopes and cleaning the brass curve to make better contact helps also. IF you are the type that smashed the button it is only a temporary fix since each time you bend it, it will become weaker. EXCELLENT video and great music.
Ok I used this method and here is some tips and feedback: 1. You need to be careful when removing the gliders beacuse you may split them. If you see a deep black you are not unsticking them. Make sure you remove them in a correct way. 2. Opening the clickbox may result a bit tricky, just focus on the edge and with something sharp pull it as seen in the video, keep in mind that you need to open the cover, not the whole box. 3. Removing and bending the copper piece is not hard, once the piece is out, clean the piece and the box with isopropyl alcohol. Now the hardest tricky part is to put the piece in his place again. I truly recommend to spray isopropyl alcohol before of pushing the little bend piece to his place. Do not push it to stronger or it will not be correctly placed and you will need to do it again. Just try the times you need and then you will achieve it. 4. This method is really useful if your mouse is really dirty, since you are opening the mouse, you can clean it thoroughly using isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. Isopropyl alcohol is specifically made to clean electronic components so it will not damage the mouse. 5. Taking advantage of the fact that the mouse is open, you can fix the scroll wheel problem just by cleaning it and removing hair and fibers. You can take away the scroll wheel to do it, then you just fit the wheel on his place. Another problem solved. This method can be applied to any clicks as they use the same click system (excepting the DPI button and the scroll wheel button). If your mouse is having this issue, do not hesitate, it may result complicated at the moment but then you will be proud and with a fixed mouse. Let's see how much time this fix lasts :D One week and it is still fixed!
Sept-2024. Thanks a lot for saving me from buying a new mouse. I am loyal customer of Logitech G series and repaired my G300s watching this video. Its working perfectly now!
The thin flexible metal strip can be a bit finicky to re-position correctly, especially without tweezers. The mechanical switch design varies slight between switches making the repair more difficult than shown as I had to get the edges of the switch spring to fit into the fine grooves etched into the supporting metal lever points on my switch. That said, i saved myself from making an impulse purchase of a new Naga Trinity.
Was a little different for me too, had to look at the other button to figure out how to place it exactly, but in the end it kinda worked.. though now the metal thingie is a little bent and not working as well as it should :( That said, I'll save myself from ever buying another Razer or Logitech mouse (I've gone through at least 5-6 of them in the past 5-10 years, they always get the same damn problem), and keep looking for a company who doesn't use this exact crappy clicking box...
@@Whisper0ak Yeah I figured... :( Well, I guess eventually in the coming decades I will maybe find a mouse that doesn't have this problem and then I will stick to that company!! ;-) It's too bad really, because it's such an easy fix for the companies, yet I can only guess they are too driven by short-term profits to realize how dumb it is of them to keep using these lousy switches in the long run. If not for that single problem, I'd still be a fan of Logitech mice, or even Razer mice. As it is, I'm done with both companies for a very long time. I'm now trying a Corsair, I'm not too hopeful but we'll see how it goes...
@@heimbad razer uses modified kailh switches on some of their newer mice so they shouldnt be that bad, theres also tons of companies shipping with kailhs on their mice and ive even seen ttc golds on some, so you should be fine
@@levii44444 thanks for the info! Razer lost me as a customer for mice for a very long time (they should've done that several years ago!), but at least it bring me hope in the future of mice! ;-) So far my Corsair is doing good, but it's not old enough to be a significant win yet
Best video ever! I threw away 2 mice in the last 2 days. Was about to throw out my third one today, but your video saved the life if the third mouse. Thanks for saving this mouse's life!!
Thank you for the video. I spent 60 minutes straight trying to reattach the copper part, and then, suddenly, the small white piece jumped out of sight and disappeared. I got so frustrated that I just left it to the F universe
Thank you so much! I have this exact mouse and needed to fix my left click spamming. Took me a few hours (including spending half an hour finding the golden bit that fell on the floor) but this video was very thorough and easy to follow
i did the same but the problem comes back after few days , then i made a software to fix double clicking , now i can use all my mouses in a relaxed way :)
Thanks man. The damn copper thing jumped on me just like in your video and it also took me 10 min to find it 🤣. Really appreciated your vid. Saved me some money.
The best video that fixed my M720 Triathalon mouse. It would do everything normal but when you click on anything, nothing would happen. I could not close pages, or play games, ect. due to the copper sheath worn out. Since I never use the right click, I switched those sheaths. Works like a charm. Excellent Video~ Thanks!!!

This video helped me fix my Logittech G302 with double click issue. I just cleaned the switches with Isopropyl Alcohol and a cotton swab, disassembling the mouse and switches using this video. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I fixed my Redragon M901 with it Not only double click, my RMB had to be pressed hard for it to register. Doing same thing with that also seems to have fixed it
Thanks a lot! I just spent almost 100 dollars in a fantech mouse like 4 months ago on aliexpress, i was about to cry, after about 30 minutes trying, it's fixed!!
Thank you so much for this video. It actually shows what to do for each part. I used this for my G602 and forgot to save it... thought I was going to tear my hair out until I found it again. This fix lasts for about two years before it needs to be repeated. I have to actually bend the spring inwards to get it to go back in place, and I clean it with electronic contact cleaner. It's tricky on the G602 left-click since there's a bunch of "stuff" on either side of the switch. I found it's easiest to face the left side of the mouse towards you, even though it feels wrong. Then get your grippiest tweezers (I just used regular slanted eyebrow-pluckin' tweezers lmao) and grip the front side of the spring, but at a corner. Then gently position it on the front and back side at the same time, approaching from the right side of the mouse. Use a smaller pair of tweezers or a toothpick to press the middle part down. I insert the white button into the switch cover with pointed tweezers and put a piece of tape on the top to keep it in place before putting it back.
I think with g102 model there is a huge issue with the design. Specifically one design flaw which I found is that there is huge gap (relatively speaking) around the scroll wheel which dust enter through into the interior and accumulate all over. Also a tiny shelf where the scroll wheel sits is the most vulnerable area for dust to accumulate( because it's directly beneath that gap). it messes up the scrolling of the wheel . the worst part is that whenever u scroll the wheel it disturbs the sitting dust which when goes into sensitive part of the sensor make the scrolling error worse. The double click issue is also because of tiny dust getting inside the left chamber of left click(lol I don't know technical name ) . When I opened mine there was considerable dust sitting beneath that copper switch. So I had to clean that as well.
So that's why when I washed my switch with ethanol and blew air through the gaps while clicking fixed it - without disassembling it. It just displaced the dust from contact points.
This switch is the same on other mice, so works on many models. I've seen ppl cleaning/sanding the little contact on the metal part too, to improve the connection.
My Logitech G305 is structured so that I can't remove the switch without messing up electrical stuff. The switch and that tiny part is even smaller in my mouse. After 3 hours of using a needle and my fingertips I FINALLY fixed it and got it back in. MY MOUSE IS FIXED. YEAAAHHHHHHHH
Ngl, the scariest part of this video is how effortless you make it out to be. Damn man. You're incredible. My brain starts hurting everytime i try to fix it. The clickbox which changes the dpi settings of the mouse started double clicking recently. I spent like 1-2 hours trying to open that one box. It was placed in search a weird spot that i don't know how to like open it with the tools i have. Ended up giving up on it. The joke is that while doing it multiple times i feel like like i have bent the clicker a little bit too much and it has deformed in some areas. I wish i could make those areas straight, but now im like, if i do try doing something to repair the deformed areas, it could just break altogether :/
Thanks for the kind words! I think the jazz music helps make it look easier lol. There were times I had to fiddle with it for sure. If all else fails, it may be worth it to replace the switch via soldering if you would still like to keep the same mouse.
@@thiswomps352Yip the jazz music is the icing on the cake. Blends in perfectly with your vid. I avoided doing soldering, since i have never done soldering myself. I have seen multiple people doing it online, but i have never tried it out myself. Yeah i do like this mouse but i would also hate to create a hiroshima due to my lack of skills. If worse comes to worse and yeah im entirely fedup of fixing the clicker, then yeah i will order and take the click box, do some trial/error first on some other mouse and then give it a try on this mouse. Thank you in advance. Have a nice day man.
I replicated this many times these last 2 years on my mouse but never thought on seriously appreciate you for explaining such a helpful thing, many people should know about this video so it helps fixing their mouse instead of spending money on buying a new one. Thank you so much! YOU'RE A LIFESAVER!

Thank you so much bro! I fixed my A4 Tech X7 XL-747H's left click double click issue. Btw switch was so heavy and after your video, it is soft and smooth. No double clicks anymore! Thanks!
We gave up after three hours of trying to reinstall the spring, and ceremoniously demolished the trackball with a pair of hammers in the driveway (then we burned what was left). Still, good video.
Tried this on roccat kain 120 and it fixed it! Thank you very much. Btw for those who are using kain, don't ba afraid of doing this, even kain is hard to open, because the end result is great.
Awesome video, it really helped. For those who want to try this, clean the contact side( scrape oxidation) I've tried to pull little piece of paper on the contacts using pressure of the pin. Worked as well, u dont have to remove the pin from the switch. Anyway if you removed the pin, have patience and do it as is on the video. Good luck, it's worth.
My G102 also started double clicking like after 3 years of usage. I took it apart, opened the switch, cleaned the copper piece a bit, scratched it with metal tools so it makes better contact and it hasn't double clicked yet again for another year or more now.
At 5:00, were the "stickers" (not sure the exact name) still sticky, even after pulling them off? That's really my last concern about doing this, because I don't want to mess up future use or require another purchase.
Thank you. This method worked fine for my Razer DeathAdder Elite which started doing this after 4-5 years of daily use. You made it look easy. It's not. I spent maybe half an hour trying to get that copper thing back in. 😩 Clicking feels much sturdier now. *No more pesky double clicking!* Even the middle mouse button is now working properly again! 🤩 Because I removed a SPOOL OF ARM HAIR around the rotating axle which prevented it from getting pressed all the way down. Another spool of hair accumulated around the laser sensor. I recommend lifting the main PCB and cleaning around there, too, if you have the same mouse. I thought about using rubbing alcohol first, but decided that it wasn't really dirty, so I didn't use any cleaning agent at all, just the screwdriver on some of the small pieces of skin debris that stuck to the plastic outside of it. And tweezers to remove stuck hair. Good lighting helps to spot them easier. The problem with the left click was purely mechanical. It needed an extra "oomph", like you showed. Thanks again. God bless.
Never thought this was fixable, i was about to throw mine away... thanks for the video, it worked for me. I cleaned the contacts too as someone said in one of the comments, either or, my mouse is working now 😅😅
Im here to thank you. I fixed the logitech M720 by your video... I spend about 1 hour to put the **** thing in place but I think that the double click issue was fixed. thank you
Pro tip for the little white button in the housing. To keep it in place while reinstalling it, use a piece of painter's tape! Just stick the housing to it, then insert the button into its slot and press down to stick it to the tape, too. This way you can reinstall it, without losing that stupid little thing, and you just peel the painter's tape off after!
Thank you for this clear video. Really helped me with my mouse. And now i feel stupid for throwing away my previous mouse because of it's click malfunctioning.
sometimes brushing the contacts with a lil bit of isopropy-alchohol does the trick. worked for me on a G703 which come with D2FC-F-K(50M). good vid though.
Ironically, I'm now hearing double clicking sounds but it's working. I'm not gonna bother checking it again as I am using a vertical mouse and it is tedious opening it. Thank you
Man when i saw your video i just bought roccat kone + for 4 $ with a doubleclick. !!!Never ever touched that sh$# before ur video!!!. With your help i was able to modify switch the way i just have to put a "needle" screwdriver end and push it up a little bit WITHOUT DISMOUNTING ANYTHING FROM SWITCH (i made a little hole on a side) so i am able to repair it in 1 minute whenever it happens again. When i told a guy that sold me the mouse how easy it was to repair he just blocked me XDDDDDD
if anyone would ever want i could make a pdf file with instructions of where to poke it with hot needle. Ik it sounds scary at first but imo it is much easier than taking the whole switch apart
Hey, me from 9 months ago, apparently our logitech G600 double clicks both left and right mouse button, but using this video, not even having to disassemble the chopper part of the mouse switch, what we did was just open the omron housing, blow the chopper part for a bit, testing both switched with double click mouse tester page, and if blowing the switches fixes the double click problem (with absolute 0 double click on both switches), we just close down the black housing. Make sure to not forget the white bump thing on the housing! This fixed our mouse, and our mouse is good to go again. But yea we might have to recheck the switch in 9 months or when it starts to double click again.
thank you so much. I didn't even know that I can open my mouse lol I actually couldn't replicate what you did, I spent more than an hour trying. So I decided to replace the copper piece of the left click with the copper piece of one of my mouse's secondary buttons and it worked

Fyi most mouse clickers are the same, so I just bought and old deflective mouse and used the left clicker to replace the damaged clicker, good as new. why I used the left clicker over the right clicker on the used mouse is because in general everyone uses the right clicker and rarely used the left side so most likely the right clicker on the used mouse is warned out, hope it helps.
I just assigned the function to the small buttons on my G300s. The day all of the buttons start double clicking I'll try to fix it or buy a new one.Update 9 months later: Opened it and stretched the springs and has worked so far.
I fixed my mouse today (July 11 2023) I both bent it back and cleaned the entire switch as best as I could, and it worked perfectly (though it was a pain in the ass to put the switch back again) I will edit my comment when I have to fix my mouse again Edit: Today (July 17 2023) my mouse broke again with the same issue I just fixed it again, but this time, I cleaned it the absolute best I could (I spent like 20m just cleaning it), and it now works again I will edit my comment once again when I have to fix my mouse again. This could have been my fault or just bad luck Edit 2: Today (July 18 2023) my mouse broke yet again, same issue Fixed it again and this same day it broke YET AGAIN, for the fourth time already After doing a lot of testing, I've come to the conclusion that, in my specific case, it's not because of the little piece of metal, but instead, the switch itself. - This is just bad luck of mine, but the fix showed in the video will most likely work for most people I have come to the conclusion of the switch being broken by using something else to use for testing it, and it still had the exact same issue I tried replacing the little piece of metal with the one that had the right click switch (which worked fine) and I put the left piece of metal in the right switch instead. Same thing, the right click still worked fine but the left click didn't. So, it's most likely that the switch itself literally died somehow (I can't understand why it didn't work, click switches have a VERY simple mechanism), so I gave up. I'm probably gonna buy some replacement switches (hopefully this time they are going to be good switches), but I'm not sure yet. I'm using an old crappy mouse for now until I find a solution. If you're in the same problem as I am, then it might be a good idea to buy a new switch too, as it's around 8 times cheaper than buying a whole new mouse
They can fix this in the software, should have a switch or software option to turn on "switch saver" mode. It's debounce, where they'd change the calibration of it.

It was a nightmare to put the small copper piece back, but after days of trying, the best tool turned out to be the eyebrow tweezers. The double click stopped.
Guys best way to fix it. Is exchange the switches. Sometimes while trying to fix the copper it could get bent and spoilt. In that case you can just de solder ome of the side switches and solder it in place of the left switch. It feels like a new switch has been placed.
lol thank you so much, i was just like fuck it and follow this step and it actually worked again. tested it on double click test site and after like 300 click there's not a single double click anymore. bless you man
nice but for those who have a soldering iron, u can just buy a better third party switch and replace them! Ive tried this method more than 3 years ago and it only worked for weeks. Lost my patience but at the same time i didnt want to buy a new one so I just removed the poor quality omrons and replaced them with kailh switches.
That's an interesting point!

Here I'm... Again... To fix my G502 falling apart. Well this time I used some circuit contact cleaner spray without taking out the damn copper thing inside the switch. It works, for now... Tested 500 times each switch in mouse tester site, 0 double clicks.
So many similar videos that dont show how the switch box cocer come off, or how to properly put the spring back on. Thank you for taking the timr to add the closeups
Scrape off the atom thick oxide layer at the contact points, by sliding a blade in between a few times.. no need to take the whole thing out. The resistance dropped from 300< Ohm to
Can you explain this in layman's terms. I don't get what you're trying to say 😅
@@aazxcasd scrape the contact surfaces without taking the elastic metal "leaf" out of the assembly (by sliding something in between). Sometimes it does deform and you would need to reform it into shape, but usually the problem is just the oxidation on the contact points
Oh so I just had to clean off the oxidized layer of the copper "leaf"? That's really interesting and really helpful; since it took me so long to get the leaf back in place. 😀👍
Quick question, the contact point you're referring to is where the leaf goes up and down right? As shown in 3:37
@@aazxcasd yes, the underside bump (on the leaf) and the corresponding contact on the bottom
Thank you SO much! as another commenter has already pointed out, there is no need to take off the metal clip. you just need to clean it (i used pliers and a tiny piece of cotton, put it back with no hassle (with the help of the video) and got it back to working after YEARS of faulty behaviour. so happy to have my mouse back!!! cheers to everyone. hope the information gets to everyone that needs it.
can you make video? please
@@ashmaldaniel1086 I used ethanol with a brush. And then for a middle mouse click which I couldn't disassemble I used a drop of ethanol, clicked it a few times, and then blew air through it. That fixed it.
Informative
you can also put a small piece of tape on top of the switch body and the small white piece that's easy to lose.
У меня та же мышь и та же проблема
Before you change the switches with time-consuming soldering work, give them another chance with contact spray. A quick spray and then a few quick clicks before the creeping solution has evaporated. Worked wonderfully for me!
I used to rebuild switches for Swift Microscopes and cleaning the brass curve to make better contact helps also. IF you are the type that smashed the button it is only a temporary fix since each time you bend it, it will become weaker. EXCELLENT video and great music.
Ok I used this method and here is some tips and feedback:
Let's see how much time this fix lasts :D
One week and it is still fixed!
@@Gaabrieel777 well said!
It's been three weeks and everything is working perfectly :D
It's been a month and a little more, the mouse is working as the day it was bought! ;)
They just don't want to fix the design, who'll buy new mice if the old one last decades?
2:39 "And now, for this magic trick, pay attention to this shiny cooper piece! Voila! It's gone!" 🤣
i followed step by step even, lost the copper thing for 10 min, but it works now. Thank you!
Best video ever! I threw away 2 mice in the last 2 days. Was about to throw out my third one today, but your video saved the life if the third mouse. Thanks for saving this mouse's life!!
Gotta thank you Sr. I always forget how to mount that piece of copper bad always return to this video.
Thank you for the video. I spent 60 minutes straight trying to reattach the copper part, and then, suddenly, the small white piece jumped out of sight and disappeared. I got so frustrated that I just left it to the F universe
It was never meant to be.
@@younst1103 what did you make to fix it?
youtube keep shadowing my coment , i can send it to your email
@@younst1103 Hello, can you send it to me too, please?
Thanks man. The damn copper thing jumped on me just like in your video and it also took me 10 min to find it 🤣. Really appreciated your vid. Saved me some money.
Literally the best quality video I could ever find on youtube about fixing this little annoying guy, thanks mate!!
dont forget to 2:40 to correctly fix the issue
I've spent around 1h to 1h30 trying to put this copper thin piece back but it was all worth it! Thank You !!!
same lol
Worked like a charm. I was almost on the verge of getting a new mouse. Thanks for the video.
2023 Still da best tutorial for me, just make sure u have that tools and u can do it, bringing back the copper is kinda tricky at first but did mine for 10 mins and the double clicks are gone. thanks to u bro.
This video helped me fix my Logittech G302 with double click issue. I just cleaned the switches with Isopropyl Alcohol and a cotton swab, disassembling the mouse and switches using this video. Thanks!
SUPERB! You saved my mouse, my warranty ended last year and this double click issue started a week ago, I got to fix it, thanks man!
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful
Thanks for the video.
I fixed my Redragon M901 with it
Not only double click, my RMB had to be pressed hard for it to register. Doing same thing with that also seems to have fixed it
Interesting that this fixed the other issue. Glad to hear!
It just displaced the dust from contact points.
when you look up "fix mouse double clicking" and the first video you find is one that is using your exact mouse lol
This switch is the same on other mice, so works on many models. I've seen ppl cleaning/sanding the little contact on the metal part too, to improve the connection.
This is exactly what I've been looking for with detail views of the switch module. Thx!
I am so unbelievably proud of myself for pulling this off. Thank you so much!
@alexianluqman6275 you should be!
Fixed the g102 which I was going to throw away! Good thing I looked up the internet first! Thank you!
Just buy a new micro switch and take the copper from it
@@blanketparty5259 yip yip yip. Thanks man
I replicated this many times these last 2 years on my mouse but never thought on seriously appreciate you for explaining such a helpful thing, many people should know about this video so it helps fixing their mouse instead of spending money on buying a new one. Thank you so much! YOU'RE A LIFESAVER!
Gracias por recomendar este video, la verdad que me ayudo mucho, y también a @Borís Cvjetkovic
Till this day, It's still helping people out I fixed my Logitech 304 left click with this method although it feels a bit different from before due to adjusting the bracket inside but this is a good way to repair and make your mouse useful again without replacing the whole switch. Thank You!
Thanks! Nothing wrong with that approach
Tried this on roccat kain 120 and it fixed it! Thank you very much. Btw for those who are using kain, don't ba afraid of doing this, even kain is hard to open, because the end result is great.
I was going to buy a new mouse 'coz of this annoying double click. You're my hero, thank you!
Yes, they were still sticky for me, and did not have any issues with them coming off afterwards.
You saved my life man! that little switch spring drove me crazy!
Thank you. This method worked fine for my Razer DeathAdder Elite which started doing this after 4-5 years of daily use.
You made it look easy. It's not. I spent maybe half an hour trying to get that copper thing back in. 😩
Clicking feels much sturdier now. *No more pesky double clicking!*
Even the middle mouse button is now working properly again!
God bless.
Thanks, this was a tremendously annoying issue i thought i was going to have to buy new switches to fix.
Great tutorial! Fixed my G102 double click issue!
does the double click issue fixed permanently or for a short time ?
Never thought this was fixable, i was about to throw mine away... thanks for the video, it worked for me. I cleaned the contacts too as someone said in one of the comments, either or, my mouse is working now 😅😅
Im here to thank you. I fixed the logitech M720 by your video... I spend about 1 hour to put the **** thing in place but I think that the double click issue was fixed. thank you
Thank you very much! It saved my G502! I had a problem not with dirty contact, but with weak contact tension.
250$ mouse saved! was already about to buy a new one but this helped! thanks alot, much needed video
Thank you
2:39 "We'll Be Right Back".. relatable shit
Ik it sounds scary at first but imo it is much easier than taking the whole switch apart
ill make some updates about how the mouse is working and if any dust is collecting inside poked switch
Just fixed my Logitech G600 double clicking using this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you for this tutorial. My left click wouldn’t hold and this solved the issue
2:40 I didn't expect to laugh this hard on an instructional video XD
thank you so much. I didn't even know that I can open my mouse lol
I actually couldn't replicate what you did, I spent more than an hour trying. So I decided to replace the copper piece of the left click with the copper piece of one of my mouse's secondary buttons and it worked
Thank you so much for showing this. I bought Razer Trinity and after 3 weeks started double clicking.. i didn't hit him or anything.. just normal use lol.. after doing this it works like a charm, till when.. we will see.. i will let you know. I bended it little bit harder, it's more stronger now.. Btw string on my mouse is so thin.. it's insane... Also this mouse on the video is HUGE comparing with string and pieces of my mouse.. is super tiny.. somehow i did it.. i don't think i could do it second time lol.. we will see. Also i removed stupid "GRRRRRR" thing which was in scroll wheel.. now is smooth.. no sound.. Thank you once more

@@LordMacGyver13 I fixed mine with this video, so I recommend you to try as well with it. It has been already two months since I fixed it and it's working fine yet. Try and if you can't succeed, buy another one. Cheers.
Thank you dude. I have a Steelseries mouse and I thought I will have to replace it and didn't have any money to do so but your video made my mouse as new. I can't thank you enough.
Cotton thread and alcohol also works using the flossing technique to clean that copper sheet gently.
without taking out the copper?
I just assigned the function to the small buttons on my G300s. The day all of the buttons start double clicking I'll try to fix it or buy a new one.Update 9 months later: Opened it and stretched the springs and has worked so far.

I will edit my comment when I have to fix my mouse again
Edit: Today (July 17 2023) my mouse broke again with the same issue
I just fixed it again, but this time, I cleaned it the absolute best I could (I spent like 20m just cleaning it), and it now works again
I will edit my comment once again when I have to fix my mouse again. This could have been my fault or just bad luck
Edit 2: Today (July 18 2023) my mouse broke yet again, same issue
Fixed it again and this same day it broke YET AGAIN, for the fourth time already
After doing a lot of testing, I've come to the conclusion that, in my specific case, it's not because of the little piece of metal, but instead, the switch itself. - This is just bad luck of mine, but the fix showed in the video will most likely work for most people
I have come to the conclusion of the switch being broken by using something else to use for testing it, and it still had the exact same issue
I tried replacing the little piece of metal with the one that had the right click switch (which worked fine) and I put the left piece of metal in the right switch instead.
Thank you! This fixed my Logitech Pro Wireless problem! Good thing I tried this first before getting a new one!
