@@ChadandJamal i understand when you talk about having an open mind and understand the negra or negro may have been used to describe us so called " black people" before the Atlantic slave trade. However what has transpired has change that meaning for many and most find it offensive. I for one will not allow the so called "white" man call me a nigga.
@@callumreed1942 and we as white men do not care if you take it as an offensive when it is not meant to be.

Become considerate and start caring, attitudes such as yours is why I think you Bulgarians deserve all the ridicule and racism you face in the West.
@iron fist -
I understand that and agree, it is up to foreigners to understand and look at the context of words in these countries instead of getting offended,
But if he is as inconsiderate as he is, then I feel little sympathy for him and other Bulgarians like him who face ridicule and racism in west Europe.
My black friends does not feel awkward in Bulgaria ever, but I was feeling not welcomed in the UK as I am a slav from Eastern Europe.....
True!
@Thracian Princess we are classed as slavs in the modern day , speak a slavic language etc

@Thracian Princess e da ako mislem taka ot nai nachaloto nie ne sme slaviani nashte pra bulgari bqha "omadic people" And were in the area along modern day Hungary today as we know before. We left as there was wars and we wanted a new start I believe we were in war with the east slavs ( which is ironic) and the hazaris and I think a couple other people, . ... But we then later on moved where we mixed with a lot over slavs and later on created the slavic alphabet which put us in the slavic category. History is very odd . .. For all we know in 200 years the Balkans can be a black dominant region or Muslim dominant region and our race/ethnicity will change again.

I worked in Bulgaria for over an year. I'm a dark skinned African-American. I got alot of stares..but in my opinion it was more curiosity then anything. I tell you honestly I loved Bulgaria and the people there. I met so many great people there and made some friends. I think about even now going back there after I retire. My preconceived thoughts about going there were all wrong. Bulgarians are great people, you get your occasional assholes, but that's anywhere. I miss living there and think about the great times I had there alot.
Every person is curious about the others, who looks different.years ago my uncle worekd as a teacher in Angola.my aunt lived with him.she had milky white skin and she told me that when she walked on the streets, the black people started watching at her as she is something unique.mean that its nothing wrong to watch with curiosity.bad thing is when curiosity become to aggretion.
@@elisabethacronqvist7859 You know at first it bothered me...but I soon realized that it for the most part wasn't hateful looks but looks of curiosity. I usually went to Burgas, Plovdiv, Staragoza and Sofia to hang out and got the most looks in Staragoza. Plovdiv wasn't too bad as I think they had alot of international students as well as Sofia. I think the kids was the most curious of me. I was different to them mostly I guess.
Many 20-30 year old Bulgarians dream is to have a Black US man as a friend. We grew up watching movies like How High, Friday,Dont Be A Menace in the Hood etc.etc.
We love black people
@@sleeper7271 lol...yes those movies were awesome, I get where your coming from...that's a good start to wanting to get to know another's ones culture. Whatever will get an conversation going is good. I had many good conversations with my Bulgarian friends. Being at a bar having conversations was the most fun.
That's the problem I'm having. Despite living in Sofia, I don't see many black people often and I generally find black people beautiful so it's hard to fight my instinct to stare at them. I of course try not to stare, because I feel like starring at people is impolite, regardless of whether they look different from you.
черен мъж в черно море вика... :D :D
First time I saw a black person, was when I was in highschool (probably 14-15 years old). Te guy was half bulgarian, half Zimbabwe. So, its not that we (bulgarians) are racist, its just we don't see that much black people- especialy in the small cityes. So when people are starring at you, its not because they are racist, its just because, probably they see a black person for theyr first time.
@Thracian Princess -
If your immigration policy wasn’t so racist and closed off to non-Europeans you’d see more black and other non-white people in your country.
You Bulgarians should stop being racist to Roma people and start including them in mainstream society (instead of segregating and excluding them).
However I praise Bulgaria for their tolerance and civil (even warm) relations with their Turkish Muslim population, this is amazing to witness.
@Thracian Princess -
Who is racist to Bulgarians in Bulgaria?
@iron fist -
Or people like you could look at the reasons why foreigners feel unwelcome and work on changing it. Be reflective, take criticism, be self critical, work of your flaws - this is what smart, considerate, rational people do.
@@Samchocolate11 its not even a big problem, why do u want a bunch of foreigners to come to Bulgaria and cause trouble and havoc? Theres no point, in fact I think Bulgaria being closed off is better because they need people to constantly bother them. Bulgarians are happy where they are at right now. Grow up, and mature up too. You're just a little baby that wants a bunch of blacks in Europe because it fits your fetish for white people.
@iron fist -
I’m actually not Turkish. Seeing as Bulgarians mass migrate to west Europe I will freely criticise Bulgaria and their racist overly-restrictive immigration policy towards non-European people. You are not colonisers but you discriminated against Romani people for 1000+ years, as I said to you before, be reflective, take self criticism, and campaign against the racism in your country. It’s not that difficult.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you one more time, for talking such a nice things about our country and our people. You are such a nice guy. I hope if I met you somewhere in Plovdiv you won't mind to take a picture with you. Thanks Jamal. ❤️
Thanks for the kind words mate! Of course feel free to take a pic if you ever see me mate :)
People in Western Europe, the UK and the US don't realize that there are many parts in the world where countries and nations aren't multi-racial. A lot of people in Eastern Europe have never seen black people in person. Most people in China haven't seen neither a black, nor a white person in person. I'd say that probably most African people also haven't seen a white or an Oriental Asian person in person. In such cases staring is a perfectly genuine, natural human reaction. It's not because people are racist, it's because they are seeing something completely new to them for the first time.
Exactly great summary.
@@ChadandJamal I can tell u in my opinion and most of my friends and contacts 2 things about the racism in Bulgaria.
1.We really don't like gypsies (most of them)
2. We really don't like arabs.
Its like inner feeling. On other hands I really can't feel any negative about Afro :)

My great grandmother who was a native woman went to the big city off the reserve for the first time when she was in her 70s and she was so bewildered by the different people. Everyone was staring at her, but she was also staring at everyone else since she had never seen another non-native person in her life.

Do you still speak Bulgarian?
Absolutly, totally right. I can give u an example. I live in Sofia for 5 years and I am used to seeing people from different nations but my sister(28) still lives in our home town - there are no black people AT ALL. A year ago she visited me for a couple of days and when we were in the park on the other bench there were sitting two black ladies. My sister told me "omg, they are so beautiful, her skin is so soft, and the lips are gorgeous , I want to take a photo with them". I stoped her becouse most likely they won't get it in a good way, we probably will insult them, which would be absolutly misunderstanding my sister was very far from beeing a rasicist, just the oposite- she admired them.
And that is why so many people stares at you. You are unique and interesting in a good way. Of course there are rasicst but you will understand when run up to them.
PS: Think about that- So many girls make ridiculous changes of their bodies just to attract attention, and you do that so naturally...
I’m white and I was stared at a lot in South Korea, even in a major metropolitan city like Seoul. It’s normal, I don’t see what the big deal is.
I lived in Korea for a while. People stared a lot and they loved to approach me. I felt like a celebrity. I have zero complaints
But then you can't make a video that it's racist because you are white that's the difference only black people can experience racism you know
Here's the thing: different people should embrace the stares they get, they should embrace being different. I'm a white, blue eyed Bulgarian. When I lived in Japan, I would get stares. Sometimes questions. Definitely interest. And Japan is famous for people who are considerate, private, and careful not to invade your space or offend you in any way. I still got stares. I was always the different one. And my experience is that that is an awesome feeling. You are literally special without doing anything special. So you can choose to make it an advantage or a disadvantage--up to you!
Peace and blessings to you, brotha from Southern California in the USA. You are setting a good example for black people by being a positive, successful, mature and cool young man. I already subscribed a week ago and I can see why. 👨🏾🦲👍🏾
Did u seen the corn seller that yell's at the beach :D
Haha ofc!
This is a great episode, mate. Very sincere and straight forward explanation of the way the things are here.
Thank you. Happy you liked it!
People stare out of curiosity:) You are just exotic in Bulgaria and very interesting in general. The first time I saw a black person was around my 20's. I still remember this Lithuanian girl I met long ago on a student exchange program telling me almost the same thing. In her hometown there appeared to be only 1 black person in a 60k-70k town or so. He was working in a flower shop and was something like the local attraction, people always wanted him to personally deliver flowers, because it was like double surprise and special thing for the receivers :) So, sometimes it is cool to stand out. You are very cute with your girlfriend, glad to see you so happy!

Fun fact there is even a very cool dessert in Bulgaria called "негърче", which actually also proofs your point that we put no bad meaning behind this word. After all this is how we call the chocolaty goodness.

Bulgaria never colonized no black nation. The worst part is England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France not only colonized black nations but you still have people running there to endure the repeated treatment lol .Its madness
Agreed. Bulgaria had no slavery in it's history, Bulgarians were slaves to Ottomans for about 500 years, so we definitely know what slavery is. If we do have any racism, it is from Russian and German influence.
@@dayanbalevski4446 And Bulgarians were even robed their land after WW1 if am correct their land went all the way to the coast of Komotini Greece. The problem with Countries like Bulgaria and Romania is that they want to keep their humble way of life but people believe in other to be modern you have to be western, then they have the same issue as most countries where the politicians are not reinvesting a decent percent of the money they steal back into the country. Poor people are always the purest of humans, yes you will get the average idiot who thinks of his people first and his culture first so he gets brainwash and acts like an idiot but that's ok one needs to look out for his people or culture but that's no reason to judge an entire country because let's be honest western Europeans are the real trouble makes, the evidence is there in their history which is why they have this current economic structure they still don't want to share in fact you need to buy into it.

Another quality video Jamal! 👌🏾I’m glad you covered this. I’ve been coming to Bulgaria on short breaks for a few years now, when I first came I couldn’t believe how many people were staring at me but everyone was so hospitable, I’ve even had people stop me in Sofia on two occasions and ask for a photo! So I fully understand too that been black in these eastern countries is not an issue at all and that’s why I now own a property in Bulgaria! Maybe one day I will make my stay a more permanent one

When i see Black person in Bulgaria, i'm like 😮😮 so cool and i just stare at them 🤣 and i can't stop but i try to stop to not make them uncomfortble.
Jamal, for the first time, bulgarians see "black people" in WWI (from french colonies). Bulgarian solders stared photos with them like something new and interesting. :)
Nah, we've certainly seen black people during Ottoman and Byzantine times as well. And before us, the ancient Thracians had also definitely seen black people - one of the vessels of the Panagyurishte treasure is covered with African heads (gradually morphing into acorns). Still, it's true that just as today, black people would have been a great rarity here and would have attracted a lot of attention. So, black introverts might indeed feel somewhat uncomfortable here, but black extroverts should be doing just fine.
@Aleyna K Well, for starters, the Arabs had black slave-soldiers, which likely formed the basis of what our folk songs call "black Arap". And the Bulgarians fought Arab forces at least twice - once in defence of Constantinople in 717-718 and another time when the Byzantines sent forth an army of Arab captives (promising them freedom upon victory) against Tsar Simeon. Though African and Arab pirates were also present during the Arab sack of Thessaloniki in 904. And even outside of battle the Bulgarians had at least occasional contacts with the Arab world (f.e. Krum employed an Arab engineer to build his siege engines, while Tsar Simeon sent emissaries to seek an alliance with the Fatimids), where they would have seen black people. Not to mention black slaves are reported not only in the caliphates, but also in Byzantium itself, which Bulgarian merchants definitely visited (and had contacts with merchants from all over the world there). That's possibly why there are even two skulls in two Bulgar necropoleis which are classified as "southern Europoid with Negroid admixtures".
Further on in Ottoman times black people (again mostly slaves) were even better attested. See f.e. the Wiki articles on the Afro-Turks and even Afro-Abkhazians.
Of course, I'm not saying people regularly saw black people during the medieval and Ottoman times here. But I also can't say that we saw Africans for the first time in WWI, as everything indicates that some black people had been seen at least some times in the earlier periods as well.
@Aleyna K First, I said they might have been rare, but not non-existent. Second, you might be Turkish, but I seriously doubt you're Ottoman. And the Ottoman Empire was a lot bigger than modern Turkey and had a lot more contacts with Africa back then. Not to mention Africans have been reported in the historical sources - if you had check the relevant Wiki-article, you would have seen f.e. an instance when over a thousand black auxiliary troops had been sent to fight the Austrian Empire in the Balkans (in Serbia).
I suggest you read more before making comments about who's talking nonsense.
Damn dude you're such a humble guy, if everyone was like you racism would literally not exist, hope I cross paths with you some day, seems that it will be a lot of fun. Keep it up.
Enjoy your stay in Bulgaria bro, God Bless You 🙏🏻❤️👍
Your videos contributed to me moving to Bulgaria. Thank you!
Every normal person, respect for any color, hope to see you when I come next year november, my retirement!!! from Holland to Bulgaria
I agree Bulgarians in general are just curious about the difference of the skin color, I have been many times and happily married to a Bulgarian now for 20years, I have met many and have never felt any form of discrimination or dislike based on ethnicity . I caused a bus of school kids on an outing to stop and the curious kids came to say hello, this was not in the city but in one of the mountains I embraced their curiosity and encourage the meeting, we all learned a lot from it.
💯 Bulgaria and Bulgarians are lovely 👌🏾
I'm biracial and my husband is Bulgarian. We live in the Balkan area. You are right, old people are quite curious and they guess my nationality in crazy interesting ways (whatever they know).. I am Colombian and they think I am Indian or something closer to their reality. The youngest Bulgarians are pretty open-minded and nice and respectful. My husband's family: half of his family was VERY RACIST towards me and the other half were curious and nice to me.
Respect bro! ONE LOVE!
My dado told me about a black family in Bessarabia - "People would take vacation to go to their village just to see them, because black people (Ethiopians) are in the Bible!" They were very popular. This was early 1900s.
Such a good message! Loved it
Awesome teaching moment about the Bulgarian word for black-person. 14:17 Bravo and well done!
Jamal, I'm so glad you made a video like that. I don't know how to start...Bulgarians had a different history just a 30 years ago. You know. It was s communism here and Bulgaria has been s closed country. The Soviet propaganda was that everything wich is comming from the West is bad and people should hate it. Including the people. This is the reason why old people, old generation can look at you weird or curious but it doesn't mean they hate black people. Exactly as you told in the video. I couldn't understand everything because you talk British English and talking so fast :D :D Anyway. The young generation is different. Young Bulgarians travel a lot. They visit another countries, continents. Bulgarians are not rasists and I'm pretty sure that any black guy will not have a problem here. I really apologise from the idiot's name if you had any bad experiance here. Ofcourse stupid people are everywhere.
I like black people. I have been in the USA 3 times and i have never had a problem with black people. We have eaten on same table, we have sleep in same house.
Good people like you Jamal, are always welcomed in my country. :) Bulgarians are hospitality nation. Yes, we don't have a lot of money like west europeans but the hospitality and the idea to give food to even unknown people is in our culture. Anyway. I'm so glad that you live in on of the most beautiful cities here- Plovdiv. Istudied there and have a lof of friends in Plovdiv. I often visit it. I hope you feel good here. You may not to be Bulgarian, but trust me you are MORE Bulgarian then a lot of Bulgarians. Wish you all the best and hope everythig to be good with you and ur family in UK. Peace! :))

I hate racist people, i live in a neighbourhood in Sofia where actually do live a lot of black and arab guys, students maybe (the proper English name of the neighbourhood will be Monastery Fields - haha) so i see them pretty often and sometimes people comment or stare and this makes me uncomfortable for some reason. Maybe those people are just not get used to travel yet. I love to travel and to meet new people, so i connect really well with everybody and really love places like Singapore and Dubai, places so mixed with different cultures that nobody cares where you are from, how do you look, whether you are rich or poor :)

Love the mindset! Americans have completely brainwashed people, no matter the skin color most Americans have such a narrow view about things. I can not speak on behalf of people of color, but I if I compare what I see here in Europe to what is going on in USA, things are very different. It's sad how they are pushing people to go to each others throats! As a foreignan, I appreciate the Bulgarians openness towards foreignans and they have FAR less prejudices than Estonians or Italians for example. Great video, I hope this reaches a wide public.
The problem with America is people have been Heavily brainwashed by the media. The media is the number 1 fuel for rasism. It's how they operate divide and conquer.
That`s great that you feel that way! Im so happy for you Rhyes, keep spreading the love :))
Thanks for the kind words bro!
I'm so happy that you actually covered the N word topic. It's something people especially from the US don't get. It's good that some people try to avoid it nowadays because they are globally aware how it is perceived but people should also educate how the native population uses certain terms. At he end of the day context is actually very important.
99% of the people I know really mean a person of black color other than an insult especially the older population. If they want to insult you they will not use the N word trust me :)
Cheers mate! Love your videos.
Articulate and sincere - kudos to you dude!
I'm so happy to hear that we are not as assbackwards as I was afraid we are.
I left Bulgaria 15 years ago, and going by the comment sections on news or such, I was afraid that we wouldn't be considered a hospitable place for foreigners and ashamed by it. So I am very glad that your experience hasn't been anything of the sorts.
Why did you choose to go and live in bulgaria? And what kind of job do you do in Bulgaria?😊
Went to Bulgaria just to check it out and fell in love with the country. I don't work in BG I work online in education.
You are the Best Rhyes 🤗❤️ you are amazing person and extremely progressive!!!
I've come to believe that what African-Americans would feel about "the N word" is somewhat (though not entirely) similar to what we, as Bulgarians, would feel about the word "giaour" (particularly coming from a Turk or a Muslim). Both words started off as offensive epithets, they're both linked to images of oppression and slavery and the more paranoid among us might also infer a desire to return to those times of oppression on the side of the one using that word. But, the thing is, both those words have lost much of their edge a long time ago and their cognates in other languages and countries might be completely devoid of that offensive meaning. That doesn't mean they can't still be used as insults, of course, but the insult never comes from the word itself - it always comes from the context. And as Jamal basically said - it's up to us whether we'll take that insult to heart or not.
P.S. That being said, I absolutely detest the American censorship and hypocrisy on this matter and very much agree with Jamal with every point he's made in this video. I'll only add that I don't know whether being black has really helped him make more friends here, but clearly the biggest factor in that regard isn't his skin colour, but his great character and personality. It would be nearly impossible not to become a friend of such a positive person. Which is why, in the end, we're all on this channel.
God bless you man! Im very glad that you are making that kind of videos for our country to show to foreigners not to be afraid about the crap media propaganda, which wants to ruin Bulgaria in every aspect. Keep it up! You earned a sub today. Живи и здрави!
Thank you for the kind words I'm happy you enjoy the videos and it's honestly super awesome both locals and foreigners enjoy the vids!
Thank you so much for making this video!
It's really unfair how the West European and American media often portray us as socially conservative.
It's the same with sexism. I've been disrespected much more while traveling to those 'more progressive' places.

Woah, your video on the youtube blew my mind! I was not expecting something so captivating and thought-provoking. It had me hooked from start to finish, and I found myself getting lost in your story. It made me reflect on my own experiences and left me feeling deeply moved.
I had this fight with my dad arguing with him that he shouldn't use the N word... was that all in vain :D But seriously, I think the young adults have taken a U-turn from communism and BG is becoming an open country, especially now that many Bulgarians study abroad and go on cultural exchange programs. Kudos for what you said about the ability to change perception, people like you Jamal help make that positive change. PS, is it still warm enough to swim in the sea?

I know what you mean with all the fake news and stuff. Happened to me when I first time visited Croatia in the 90s! The Italian told me that coz I'm black, they'll send me back straight to Africa, coz they think I'm an illegal immigrant and there to still their jobs! But since I'm a free spirit I didn't listen, I went anyway and it was one the best country and people I ever experienced and met. In fact, I went 10 times and I even ended up to have a Croatian and Serbian boyfriends :)
Instead in Italy, Spain, Portugal and England I've had the worst experience ever (bloody racist with us as black but also with their own race and they even don't know geography - For them Polish or Romanian all the same just same as they think about black people, they all speak the same language coz they are dark skinned and don't let me go down to when they think Africa is a country not that it's the second largest continent in the world after Asia with 54 countries) Enough talking:) I'm planning to go to the Balkan's this summer or as soon as they open the UK border. I think you can see more racism and xenophobia in Western Europe, USA and UK than here... since you are rare and exotic to us people might want to look at you but we are raised to be international, not patriotic or nationalist haha
I totally agree with you. "Nigga" means black person. The race of the black people is called "Negroid", it's official term, not offensive word. No white person would be afraid to be called "white" or "Europoid". In the Anglo-Saxon countries, where they kidnapped black people, as slaves, and exploited them, they have remorse for the actions of their ancestors, for this reason, the word "negro" is considered taboo there. That word there is kind of a symbol of black people's slave past.
But Eastern European Slavic peoples, such as Bulgarians and Russians, never turned black people into slaves, which is why the word "negro" does not associate us with ugly actions of their ancestors. It's just that Eastern European peoples are not colonizers, enslaving and exploiting black people in the past. This is also the reason why there are very few black people in Eastern Europe.
Greetings from Sofia city, Jamal!
I really want to thank you, for what are you doing. If everyone were like you, there wont be even a thing called racism. Many people from the west can't understand that easterners are more direct, and seem racist, because we never interfered with black or african people. But in the same time you are also teaching us bulgarians not all the westerners are crazy on racism and we should threat people as persons. So, thank you for that. You are a real treasure mate.
Great video mate, my girlfriend (mixed couple) really wants to go to Bulgaria on holiday and I was a bit like “oh, oh” feeling better after your video. ❤️
Great perspective
I have been to many eastern european countries and would not label all of them as racist. When I went to Bulgaria many people stared but never treated me differently. In Montenegro and Kosovo many people stopped me in the street to say "you are beautiful" then some EE countries are generally standoffish/cold and it's not always related to race...and then there are some where blatant racism seems to unfortunately be the norm (Lithuania and Estonia in my experience👎🏾)
RESPECT
I am happy you have a great time in Bulgaria!
He says to her. I'm gonna be like 5mins. Me looking at video time stamp. 21:59 🤣🤣🤣🤣
you're literally the first clear headed dude of Arfican descent , i've had the honor of hearing , IN A LONG TIME! ... I know ... sad
Tysm American guy showing us beautiful country
Great person, great video!
jamal, you are voice of reason
Jamal, do you plan on someday being able to speak bulgarian casually or will you stick to english for now?
Oh I can speak casually in Bulgarian now. I'm not great but can get my point across most the time. I just choose to use English as many of my subscribers are international.
@@ChadandJamal oh thats great!
@@ChadandJamal you are gonna do it brother. The day you die the whole of bulgaria will hail ur name u have already done enough and u continue do so jamal the great bulgar 👑
100 percent agree with you
Just two simple words the racism is everywhere, just the west people know how to hidden.
Good and Bad people everywhere.
Love form one Bulgarian family living in Tampa Florida.
I lived in Lewisham for two years and i got pissed off of police and ambulance vehicles and their sirens and it was scarry experience to walk down the streets in the early morning hours. I love London but there are some areas you rather avoid going thru.
Peace!
Lewisham. Ughh
I forgot to say I am black from the states. It is good that you experienced different parts of the world. God bless
Kinda late to the party mate but I decided to pin in anyway. So about the staring problem you're absolutely right! And to make things good for you it's not only staring at black people, I am white bulgarian guy who used to live in the UK for the past 2 years and when I came back I immediately noticed how everybody stared at me :D Even though I was dressed like bulgarian look like bulgarian, spoke bulgarian and being actually bulgarian lol. The racist problem in general is everywhere tbf and people that judge a country by a small sample of people (5 to 10) can't really grasp that probably their country in some bad neighbourhood or whatever has racist people too. So yeah TLDR bulgarians stare at bulgarians and everyone else not only black people :D
Haha so true. I think Bulgarians are just more straight forward and curious when it comes to people who are different. And that is a good thing!
Thanks for watching
thank you so much for this video!
You are an incredible guy and should be a world good-will ambassador. You could teach the jerks in the UN a few things about tolerance and respect.
As a BM who traveled the world back and fourth. I welcome those stares. Matter of fact, I use them to my advantage.🧔🏾💪🏾
Nice one man( quick tip : if you ever go to Bulgaria and u get a stare from a woman ask her out!)
Greater Bulgaria.. Love you
I’m glad that you have a had such a positive experience in Bulgaria and in Eastern Europe. I do believe that we should be able to travel anyway our money can take us but you should not condemn black or should i say non whites living in the United States. You have to walk a mile in a man’s shoes to know how he feels. Racism in the United States is a real thing. Anyway, I found you by asking if blacks live in Bulgaria and there your UA-cam popped up. Take care and continue your travels.
I really enjoyed your video :)
You're the man. Keep up the good work. You inspire me to continue live in my country. To be honest we are so critical about our country. But the changes happen when we change our way of thinking. Hopefully there are people like you who can tell the difference from a outside perspective. Bulgarians don't believe bulgarians. That's why when i say to a friend that we're very lucky to live here. Most of the people in USA if they don't have enough money they cannot afford to rent a house, apartments etc. Here if you don't have money you can go to your parents. Or just live in the house of your village. We bulgarians have that thinking that if you don't buy a house in your lifetime you wasted your time. I just hope more of the bulgarians thought like you.
I haven't been in Bulgaria but I have been in Russia and Belarus even in villages. Eastern European don't ussually see blacks so as a black It was difficult for me in the first years but after some years I adopted it and i have met many people who are very kind, i would say Eastern European are more human than western Europeans
Hey man we got our problems that’s for sure!
I really enjoyed your channel
Mate you should definitely check the Northern Black Sea Cost - way more great views that Nessebar, Sozopol and the other South East Seaside
You are nice person, skin no matter, black, white, yellow or whatever, there is no racism.
Thanks for the vid! Visiting Varna soon
we've been slaves for literally half of our history (700 years of being slaves in total) so I don't think there's any feelings of racial superiority over others, there might be however some hate on a national level towards some countries xD
Spot on. I looked surprised when I saw a black person in Germany, nevertheless he was my first friend there. It was the same with Asian folks, but I have never seen such people live, it was a culture shock sort of speak , but a day later you get use to it and you get to know them. So yes spot on, support from my side.
Bruh you ain't lyin on everything u said. As an American coming from a Black mom and a El Salvadoran dad . I'm in the heart of the racist America(Florida, the South) but like u said, bein black has blessed me with being able to change peoples views of their stereotype of black people in general.
You are very nice intelligent young man,Bulgarians appreciate this and they like you and forget about skin colour and your skin is very nice brown colour.🥀🍀🌷
