Although I am not Bulgarian, over the past 41 years, I have spent many months in all parts of Bulgaria, and I am fortunate to have many Bulgarian friends and acquaintances. This is so true! I took my brother to Bulgaria in 2002, and he was impressed with the beauty and character of Bulgarian women. Here in Chicago, I can spot a Bulgarian woman by her manicured appearance and voice. Some are so incredibly lovely, that they simply stand out in a crowd.
I'm from UK. I have a business and had branches in Bulgaria. I had no intention of meeting women, but at some point I met a Bulgarian girlfriend. But after a few months she left me for a Bulgarian guy. The same happened with some of my friends who had Bulgarian girlfriends. I think it's because of culture and maybe mentality. Or something. So I don't know what it is, but all my few friends who had Bulgarian girlfriends ended up just being friends. So I describe Bulgaria as something like Japan, but with white people. I totally agree with the video. Bulgarian women are very free spirited and self-sufficient. Most women are highly educated and will work on higher positions and earn more than their male partners. Bulgaria has very high % of women on management, government, science positions. It is also very common to see a women practicing sports, activities or jobs that are dominated by men on a world scale. At the same time family, home, children and appearance are still top priorities for them. It is a very interesting mixture of traditional values and modern feministic views.
I work with a Bulgarian chick and she has such a gorgeous spirit. I saw her out of her landscaping uniform and she was kinda eye catching. We work together and call each other CapeVulgaria (Me Cape Verdean/African and she is Bulgarian/European) She is kinda of strong for a female and she has great qualities.

Bulgaria and Eastern Europe in general is in some ways homophobic but in other ways it's much more accepting than Western countries. I'm not saying to tell her or anything like that, it's up to you but if you go there and people know about you being attracted to women, they won't ostracise you, on the contrary- you'll be welcome, cared for and find life-long friends. People are just not into public display of ANY kind of physical attraction (hetero including) and are not used to a lot taken for granted elsewhere. The natural reaction of humans when facing something so unusual is to reject it. Plasters, alcohol sanitizer, sawing needle, napkins - aka small med kit. 7. Pen, pencil and big daily planer/wrighting paper, tic tacs ect.
