Brought tears to my eyes , I miss Plovdiv and Bulgaria more than anyone could imagine , circumstances brought me back to the UK 5 years ago this month having lived in and loved Plovdiv , Bulgaria and its people . One day I will return for good . It is my dream . Thanks for posting these video's , very best wishes to you .

How does a semi-retired graphic artist who is not digitally advanced survive in Bulgaria? I am almost 72 and would love to retire to Bulgaria, but need to do something to keep occupied. Any suggestions?

Can't wait to get there. If all goes well, I'll be an Asenovgrad local in about 2-3 months! If you haven't been yet, you need to take a trip to Sandanski. It's my favorite city in Bulgaria (so far.) Thanks for the videos, they give me something to look forward too.

As a local I may say ABSOLUTELY TRUE!💯 In terms of nature, ancient landmarks, silence and cheap food Plovdiv are the best👍

Its so empty in Plovdiv now. In this time of the year is full of visitors and tourists.
Plovdiv is nice but I rather go to the sea side - Varna, Burgas, Sozopol, Nessebar and etc.

It's not a cool picture. I would rather have nice and stable european houses than old and ugly ones with weird graffiti on them.

The longest pedestrian street in Europe is in France haha I don’t know why Bulgarians always have to be like “ohh we have the oldest this, the biggest that” it’s so ridiculous lmao can’t we just appreciate things for what they are?
And how long is this street??? 1.2km . This one in Plovdiv is 1.75km read some fackts. Hahah

Agree that we should appreciate things for what they are and also we should remember that we are all the same as much as we are all different.
So as some Bulgarians like to say “we have the biggest/oldest..” , there are some French who like to say “ we have the best ...” too :)
However not every Bulgarian is like that and not every French as well, right?
We are just very proud of our history, nature and traditions. We don’t think we are better, you know 😁
