Dude......awesome tip! I've never heard of that before. I feel like filling up a plastic pan just to try it out. Had it be me, & if I did that, I would've sat there & chunked it all out with a screw driver or something! I've never had an issue yet, since I got into the habit of cleaning out my pan on every pan full (if I had any left). But that tip sounds pretty cool. Thanks for commenting. Other viewers who read this will benefit from your knowledge. Thanks! Joe :0
That's a great idea. I started doing that a few weeks ago, what a difference. No more dust storms on homeowner jobs when I dump bond out of a bag! I have a bucket for 20 and another one for 90. I use the screw-on Gamma lids. You can buy them at HD or Lowes, they're great.
Just a tip,i put my bag of quikset in a 5gallon bucket with a top and scoop out of that,
Always nice to apply your skills to other things. Great idea! Joe :0
If you ever get caught with a plastic pan of hotmud drying, just let it harden. Twist the pan like an ice cube tray and it'll pop right out.
yeah bro plastic pans are garbage, get metal pan and have a 5 gal bucket half filled with clean water and sponge......use sponge to add water to your pan, to mix mud and clean your tools every so often (clean pan inside bucket o water with sponge) also good to clean any spilled mud anywhere and off your hands.........keeping a bucket of water and sponge was best tip I ever learned watching professional tapers
+kirk dunn Thank you for your tips. Much appreciated! Joe :0
This is my trick for mixing wasabi at a sushi restaurant! Awesome. I can now apply that skill to mixing joint compound.
I can see how that would be helpful, if you use it all the time. Thanks for the tip my man! Joe :0
You can buy a screw on lid for a regular sheetrock all purpose joint compound bucket?...or does it have to be a special bucket to accept your screw on lid? Joe :0
Maybe!...lol Actually one time I left the cap off & I accidentally knock the water bottle over & got everything wet around where I was working. So I vowed never to let that happen.....again! Joe :0
why would you screw the cap on the water bottle every time......obsessive compusive or what man???
