Honestly he deserves 100mil just cuz he said does your plat friend really deserve champ
Honestly the simple tip of just "not really using your left side of the joystick" made it sooo much simpler.. Of course to master directional air roll you will need to make small adjustments on both sides but this basic tip actually made me realize what im doing right and why i get confused. 10/10 dude, first one of 30 videos to actually help me with directional air roll (clap)
👏 👏
Fr
But im assuming for air roll right it would be not really using your right side of the joystick, correct?
@@zeus.9083 air roll right uses left side air roll left uses right side💪
I dont get it, dont you use top left to fly right?
Lets take a moment to appreciate this guys editing, on point my man
I can free air roll but I can directional air roll I wanna learn free air roll
I’m gonna jump you
This tutorial was sooo helpful. He does a much better job explaining stuff than some other people.
Fr
Despite what it looks like, he fails at it. Simply saying (and not even explaining why) to use top-right input to turn right and bottom-right input to turn left is full of inaccuracies that can be very misleading: 1) these inputs don't work if you're a right air roller, you gotta do the opposite of the origin point ; 2) this won't work if you don't say you have to press the input only at the start of the spin, that mean when the car back is either facing you or the sky ; 3) you need to keep boosting during the input, or it won't work ; 4) how long do you keep the directional input? the whole duration of a spin? if no one teaches you how this crucial part works, you will quickly lose control of your car and ragequit the learning.
Can you explain the 4th part of your comment in a simpler way?
@@JoshMarthinusen When your revolution is at 0% it's when you have to make a choice of directional input, if you keep pressing this input until 50% of the revolution you have turned the maximum possible (there's a more complex concept called reversed clock explained very well by the Losfeld method that allows to keep turning in the other 50% left of the spin). Of course if you're not boosting during the directional input you won't be turning.
You can adjust the turn by keeping it less or more pressed during the start of the revolution, for instance I chose bottom-right directional input, I press it until 15% of the revolution to turn slightly to the left if I'm a left air roller (about the %: you can see it, later feel it, or even count because a full revolution lasts 1.15s).
Chosing the good input directional (we admit there are 8 and not an infinity) is useful too, for instance (left air roller) the input of the right side of joystick will make your car nose peaking to the top, so that's good to keep control, but it's useful to know that the left side inputs will do the opposite, going down. A 0 to 50% revolution input of full RIGHT will make a controlled turn to the right, most of the time you want to go onward so you would pick a TOP-RIGHT input, but a TOP-LEFT input can be interesting if you want to turn slightly while going down.
A revolution is a spin of your car. All I said about directions is for left air roll button that must always be kept pressed btw. If you use the right air roll you have to pick the opposite direction (bottom-right becomes top-left)
This guy is underrated
Or... you know... new.
@@hannaryden5172 Yeah I agree, but you know, dweebs smh
Sometimes underrated is better, many youtubers end up making dumb/trash videos after they become a success, and they're not cool anymore
Yeah, big agrees. All these *jokes* are in place, the video is cool in terms of quality, information, and humor. The dude just has to keep it up
Agreed
This is exactly what I needed to learn air roll left. Nobody else has put out a video like this
I think you need all 3 ARL AND ARR + normal air roll
Forreal my man, they only put how to air roll right
The only tutorial that focuses on those tiny adjustments that are usually overlooked. It explained quite a lot for me.
Idk if anyone is gonna read this, but im writing it anyways:
I havent really seen any youtuber talk about this, but i'm currently learning directional air roll and i got 1 major tipp. If you are on PC you can use bakkes mod (or for console game modifiers in a private match) to slow down the game speed (in freeplay only ofc) .... i have 4 speeds i use, 0.25x 0.5x 0.75x and 1x ...
i used the 0.25 to learn the most basic aerial spinning, only steering when my hood is facing me (the camera)... when i got a few stages on lethamyrs rings map with this, i moved up the speed to 0.5, and so on....
after that, i did the same with when the underside of my car was facing the cam....
then you can also do the sides if you want, i should have done it probably, but didnt want to :D
then i tried to constantly steer in 0.25x speed.. dont matter which face is facing me, putting it all together...
thats the stage im currently in... i still often blackout, but this will come over time.
hope i could help anyone with that... that really helped me understand the movements.
ofc you can also do this for dribbling, flicks, airdribbles... but be careful, the car movement speed is hard to judge when in slower gamespeed, so it might not be the best for some situations to learn it that way
Omg thx my dude, didnt know it was a bakkesmod feature
I didn't read it
thank you i will try it with bakkesmod
Cheers
How are the controls while seeing the underside? They are reversed right?
5:53 THANK YOU. THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED. every other video is just them showing you how your car should move and not showing the moments they’re making on their controller.
real i’m d3 and use regular air roll time to climb through champ now
Finally man. Ur the first person who just suggests the pillars map EVERY SINGLE ARL/ARR tutorial is either 20 mins long or just recommends the workshop maps. In your video is literally everything you need to know. The Adjustments and how to practice it. Keep up the great content!
The amount of effort that went into this video is crazy. Awesome job
Bro I'm late but your video is AMAZING. Literally the pillars map training idea is great. The 'how to go right or left is great too' your video helped me so much. I recommend this to anyone watching. I've watched so many vids but this is one is the best by far. All the best dude 🙏
UA-cam algorithm is doing this vid good.. liked
Literally did an amazing job explaining everything, I actually now know both what to do now to practice and how air rolling works.
Thank you! I’ve watched a crazy amount of videos on how to change direction while learning to air roll left and it finally clicked because of the way you explained it. Great job! You’ve earned my sub!
Relearning how to aerial from regular air roll to air roll left/right was the most difficult mechanic due to relearning the skill and the confusion that comes with. At the time videos like this didn't even exist (before this video even existed). But many months it has paid off immensely.
My tip? Do leth hoops map and only directional air roll for hours and maybe do training packs. I don't do training packs so it took longer for me to be viable with it.
My next hardest mechanic is speed flips because it's essential at c3/gc1 😢
I have air roll left and air roll right bound since the beginning but I never use just air roll. But I think most pros have only one direction of air roll bound and then just the normal air roll like he's saying in the video, so now I'm literally learning in reverse. And I absolutely hate it to such a degree that I have to ask myself if this is still fun.
Buddy I’m in gc3 and have no clue how to speed flip I can promise you it’s not in the least bit essential until you reach high ssl
For console players out of map packs are good playgrounds for practicing.

You’re editing is insane, better than a lot of popular creators like fr, and then I checked ur subs and I’m shocked, you deserve a whole lot more
yo this is actually the best video i have come across for this. it took me so long to realise i hardly need to touch the left side of my analog sick when using air roll left
Probably the best air roll guide I've seen till date. Mad props 👏🏼
Bro…. You did the best air roll tut on whole yt, now I finally understand anything and can start practicing.
Bro this was by far the best guide I’ve watched
this was the most straightforward and simple yet effective video on this topic i’ve ever seen
This is one of the best and easiest tutorials to understand. Great video
Probably the best explanation for directional air roll I’ve watched! Keep em coming haha
Bro i thought you had at-least 100k subs, but when I realized I was so surprised, keep up the work.
The quality of this tutorial, the editing, you're awesome keep it up.
ESTE ES EL MEJOR TUTORIAL . TE MERECES TODO CRACK
FINALLY A VIDEO THAT HEPLED. You are great dude keep doin what u doin
dude you put things so well with this video and another that I watched I pretty much got down the basics in an hour! The other video was a little harder with more things to learn but with this one it just really clicked thanks dude I subbed.
YO! This is the video I've been looking for dude!! Yes!! Even giving tips on how to practice. Much appreciated.
The only video that actually helped me rotate the car in air, thanks a lot dude ❤😍
This dude the only one I’ve seen thus far that actually explains joystick movement with consistent air roll. Every other channel/video is like “tRaIn diReCtiOnaL aIr rOLl” and never dives into how you control the movement while constantly spinning. That’s why I’ve never done it but this is definitely gonna help
Honestly just learned a lot from this. Extremely underrated RL UA-camr 👑
This is probably the easiest most descriptive air roll guide out there. Thank you! Subbed.
Thx so much Calvin this guide was better than anyone’s I found I went from gold to diamond almost champ learning how to control my car in the air
No one has ever told us to forget the left side of the analog stick before. This is quality content indeed.
That's what I thought too
@@max-ql6ui it’s a bad tip. You should use all of the analog stick
@@jamespeters908 yes, the sooner you start implementing the full range of the analog stick, you will be able to adjust your car under any circumstance, if you only have half the range, guess what.. it will take you in many situations twice as much time to adjust your car
Listen here, I have watched about 10 of these types of videos however yours literally contains a summary and proper explanation of everything in all the videos combined, good job 100% would recommend what he says!
Pleasantly surprised! Thank you
thank you bro you made it much more understandable than bigger youtubers. they say practice ofc but i havent seen one say you barely need to use the left side of the stick if youre using air roll left. great explaining man🤟🏾
Actually one of the most helpful videos, this gotta blow up so others can see it
Honestly so helpful. Thanking you my dude❤️
This really cleared it up a lot. Thx bro you explained it perfectly and I’m ready to try it out
Thank you some much I've played the training pack for 45 mins and I now can hit the ball most of the time
My friend sent me this but I have already watched it. His air roll game is on point now so coming back to this is my next focus. Subbed!
This is a top notch video. I love your editing and humor. How do you not have more subscribers?! Keep up the good work!
I like how this dude put proper thought into it not trying to teach us through oh yeah just press this with this and practice on this map
Oh and i subbed
Really helpful man, thank you
This is gonna help a lot, thanks Calvin!
Great video and awesome tips!
Wow this vid changed everything!!! Finally got that a ha moment unlike the other tutorials. Thanks!!!
Love the vid man, and the edits are golden crisp nuggets my guy, love it
soooooooooo helpful, thank you very much. I've been wanting to start learning air roll left all the time and i have the same bindings. I was always unsure whether I should even start with these bindings, but thanks to your video I'm motivated now. Many Thanks!!!
Great video bro. Glad you where in my recommended.
Yo really good video, keep it up!
Thank you so much, awhile ago when I went through the rebounding phase where I constantly rebounded everything I added both directional but I only use left. I'm g2 in 2s and g1 in 1sbut I've always thought it super important to know these basics but I was struggling to learn before I found you. I think you are one of the most underatted youtubers and I'm glad to day I now follow you. Thank you for your help
Thank you for this video! Ive been waiting for someone to teach air roll left for a while! Im dropping a sub!😎😀
that´s what i was lookin for. excellent explanation! thanks!
This was the most helpful rl video I've ever seen

Decent video 🙏
I’m surprised about your edit skills and the way you talk.
Keep up the work👍🏻

After watching a bunch of videos about air roll i came to a conclusion..... ur video is by FAR the BEST !!! keep up the good work ma DUDE!
Very damn much underrated rl yt'er, legit bro... I think you deserve at least 25k, thank you for this tutorial 💪
The greatest work
By far the best air roll video.
Great video! I just assumed you were some well known youtuber with the quality of this video, you are mad underrated tho! Keep it up!
Deserve more subs dude. Very slick videos, you definitely have very good potential to be a top RL content creator.
