Hey Just want to ask if the info you provided, that if it is below 25 so it has to be replaced. Is that jnfo valid for all vw engines? 1.6 tdi deasel fx
Hello i know it is old video but do you know what Ohm do overboost or underboost? Lets say 25-35 is ok but if i have 45 or more will it let pass more of the boost or less of it ? I am tring to find what will happend if you rise the ohms or lover it. And what will happend. Thank if you answer and have nice day
You do not want to be using the N75 to control boost. You sure either get it remapped to increase boost, fuel etc and let the N75 do its job or get an MBC which is still not really recommended
Thanks. You are right the boost system has a whole range of things you can check and test. Alot of this has been covered by The Parrott Bros Alternatively, if you feel anything is missing please do share. Thanks!
@@MotorMonkeyz thanks for your time man. The car is in limp mode with the roms at 1100 and flashing glow plug and engine doesn't rev above 3000 or so. I wil hook up a reader and see what it shows 👍
Hi, thanks for the explanation! my N75 tells me 27 ohms, but the problem is: that in the cable of my audi a2 tdi the 12volt does not reach the N75 sensor, it reaches the engine on 11 volts, what could it be? Thank you
Hi man, I'm facing a probelm with boost 1.8t Audi A4 B6. I have done cuole logs of my Westgate Duty Cycle and it's maxed out at 4200rpm to the redline. Have not much boost in that are. I have checked out ohm resistance linke your recommended in video, and i got 0.33-0.34ohm. I have also try to shock n75 with 12v from battery and I'm hearing clicking noise. So any suggestions, how does it seems to, do I need new n75? My car have allrdy 280k km on board
Hi I would recommend a smoke test at this point. With your N75 in tolerance it's a good chance there is a boost leak. You would be surprised where you would find it!
@@MotorMonkeyz i will see if I can found someone who can check out a boost leak test for me. I don't have mechanic background so much. But tnx alot for your reply i really appreciate it your advice. 👍💪
I've been getting a slight overboost. I'll check the valve. Thanks

Sorry I am not sure if this is the case for the 1.6 TDi but if yours is below 25 I would try another one to be sure

i have a polo GTI its 1.8T BJX, 150BHP, do you know where i could find the numbers or is it similar between 25 & 35?
Hi Katie. I believe as it's a 1.8T it will be the same 👍 bare in mind non genuine replacements often don't last long at all
I did a smoke test on my Audi because it wasn’t running right, a bunch of smoke started coming out of the N75, probably bad yeah?
Yeah sounds like it is, check the hoses that connect incase any are split
how can an n75 have smoke coming out of it? makes no sense
That’s what it looked like anyways.
@@intunewithcars9484 it is made out of plastic though and could’ve cracked with the 22psi of boost I’m running.
@@DustySteel ive been around the 1.8t 20v, 25 years never have i heared this or seen it ever...piping around is possible only
You test the electrical part only. There are possibilities for other kinds of faults.
Thanks.

Dude my 1.6tdi n75 resistance is showing 15.6ohms is it fine?
Hey dude, I'll be honest I'm no expert on the 1.6TDi but I would guess they are similar so if you are having boost issues it might need replacing

Apologises I am not sure, you could check for a bad earth?
Olá. Tenho uma audi a4 b5 de 2000
A minha leitura é de 0.16
Tenho de mudar ?
Hi, mine show 0.14. is that ok?
Did you get over or under boost?
Did you manage to resolve your issue?
for the record the N75 is not a sensor . it is a boost control solenoid..
Good to know
Hi.. Mine shows 016
Hi Mate, I would suggest buying a genuine N75 valve and see if this fixes your issue. It is outside of the variable required
@@MotorMonkeyz already ordered 1 (pierburg).....
But last night i have swapped the egr solenoid to turbo...... The van is flying 😁👍
@@AlfaOmega2201 Fantastic news, remember the N75 valve is has a part to play with boost control and therefore could cause boost leaks and spikes.
