I am currently having the same problem Keeps going in the home position with a lot of noise. Already searched for a solution all over youtube, until I came to your movie. Very clear explanation and solution. Go try it tomorrow. Many thanks and keep the good works! THANK YOU. Greetings from Belgium.
Just can't thank you enough I had the same problem, suddenly after starting my machine the head stated bashing at x axis so had to emergency stop the machine Then tried starting machine again and now my y axis also hitting while pushing it origin. Haf no clue what was going on I thought my both limit switches are broken then after looking for Solution on internet i came across your video But in your machine you had led indicators to show whether the switch work Or not but not in my case. Fortunately i figured out that I can check switch status at the rd controller board in machine So from there i figured out that only my x axis switch is broken So after that I used your method and problem solved Except my previously saved origin position is no more accurate it changes to something new Dont know the reason for that Even i think my switch must be alright but there must be problem with cable Had same issue with the servo motor wire earlier fixed it by soldering my motor cable where it was broken solved my problem But thank you million time so this video and your help and time Keep making such informative video Thank you very much .
Thanks very much for the video.... I already replace the sensor and now it lights up but I can't recalibrate the x axis continues to beat outside the origin even when the sensor lights up the head doesn't stop
hi dude, great video, I'm having that exact same issue with the same machine. Can you hook me up with the part number for the replacement sensor you used?
hi this was quite helpful. I was able to stop my Redsail m500 from banging itself to the bacj of the machine but this machine does not have the led light on the sensor. Do you have any suggestions
Hope you solved your problem but for people who have this problem follow following steps * Open your machine hatch where your controller located * now on the controller it mentions the led indicator meanings * there look for axis limit indicator *depending on the axis look for the indicator * after that slowly move the head towards that respective axis limit switch * while moving just touch the sensor so that it will register it on the controller glowing that respective led If the indictor led at controller do not register then try to change the position of head and repat operation
Easier to simply remove the connectors on the drivers themselves than doing that escape dealio as it can be tricky to catch it in time especially if you have a fast homing speed.

Awesome video, stopped me panicking. Thank you. How easy is it to replace? i.e. cabling etc.

Hi, did you list the part number? Got the same issue and can’t see the part number anywhere. Also is it reasonably simple to fit? Cheers
Amazing! Thank you!
What's the part number for your replacement homing switch on amazon? Could come in handy.
