People underestimate Ralph as a coach, even despite our limited finances

Everyone had their predictions based primarily on the previous season. And if there's anything to learn about long term premier league is that it basically has a re-roll on how teams perform every six months. Leeds and Forests could fall and Blackburns and Leicesters could rise in the blink of an eye!
By the way...you have to do this again for next season. I'm going to get mine in early... 1. Man City - Can only see Haaland improving them (if it doesn't mess up Pep's strikerless tactics) 2. Liverpool - Everyone stays fit and a bit of investment up top with Mane & Origi leaving, they will challenge, but Haaland will keep City in front. 3. Chelsea - New owners, apparently are more like Henry at Liverpool and won't spend as freely as Abramovic. 4. Newcastle - These owners however, will spend freely. I can see a bonkers summer, ala City's first big money-spending summer. 5. Spurs - Unlikely Kane is going to go now, he's turning 29 pre-season and nobody is going to pay Levy's valuation of £150mil for an injury prone 29 year old. 6. Arsenal - Arteta is building something, but currently lack the real quality of some other squads in the PL. Young prospects are exciting. 7. West Ham - Moyes is a solid manager, if he stays and they have a bit of investment on a pretty exciting season then they will be around European spots again. 8. Man United - Who knows? Could finish 2nd; equally could be 10th. Truly terrible this season, a lot of dead wood needs to go, it'll be interesting to see what ETH does. 9. Brighton - Potter is always improving, better and more investment in the squad could really see them do something. 10. Leicester - Really underperformed this season, Vardy has had a lot of injuries and they definitely miss him. He'll be drawing his pension soon so they need to invest. 11. Aston Villa - Another unknown entity, Gerrard is definitely doing something. The capture of Coutinho is a coup and if the rumours are to be believed; he's trying to get in Luis Suarez. 12. Crystal Palace - Could easily be higher, Vieira is doing a great job, the only worry is outside of the core they really lack talent. Need to get Eze back fit - he only managed 13 games this season. 13. Wolves - Never know what to expect from Wolves. On paper an excellent side but never make many ripples. Fabio Silva still looks raw, getting him honed in will really improve them. 14. Everton - They will definitely improve but I'm struggling to put them higher...injuries massively hindered them last season though. 15. Brentford - Performed way above everyone's expectations last year. I suspect largely due to Thomas Frank; keep him and they'll be alright again next season. 16. Leeds - Another side that were absolutely beset by injuries. Now murderball has gone hopefully this will improve. Need way more strength in depth. Need to stop getting players sent off. 17. Southampton - Drew way too many games last season, a couple of those into wins and they would have been comfortably mid-table. 18. Fulham - Fulham score, a lot. But my worry is they also lose a lot; 10 games last season, that's a lot for winning the league - the most since Reading 2012. The step up will be too much. 19. Bournemouth - Dom Solanke has been tried in the PL on a few occasions and can never step up... a worrying sign given he was their leading goal scorer last season. 20. Nottingham Forest - Since PL formation those that have been promoted via the playoffs survive 43% of the time. Take that as you wish...I love Forest for the nostalgia though.

To be fair it says so much about United that most of us were putting them in contention to rival Liverpool yet they absolutely crumbled. With the squad they had would you argue that they weren't the biggest underachievers of the season?
Tottenham were tricky to predict. Add Conte since the very beginning and they might have finished third, stick with Nuno and they'd probably have finished in the second half of the table...
Honestly don't think your Spurs prediction was as bad as you say, would have been impossible to predict their Conte hiring and turnaround. They weren't on course for CL before that.
Wolves had a weird season, they had one of the worst attacks in the league and only scored more goals than the three relegated teams. However, their defense was very solid, and specifically Jose Sa in goal was the best keeper in the league in terms of goals prevented (9.2 prevented over the season), which meant they conceded fewer goals than Arsenal, Man United, West Ham, or Leceister above them in the table. Basically they had a relegation attack, but a Europa League level defense because they had the best shot-stopping keeper in the league. Don't think your statement that they could finish below 13th sounds that crazy in that context. Had Sa not had such a good season they would have been lower mid table or possibly even in the relegation battle.
Tbf Man utd did finish 2nd and Liverpool did finish 4nd the previous season, Chelsea where champions League winners and did buy Lukaku who had just had a phenomenal season, I don't think your predictions were that unjustified, hindsight is a skill we humans will never master, but that's a good thing, makes life more unpredictable and that's half the fun
Us Everton fans didn't think Europe was even a possibility. Most of us had us tipped for an average 12th place finish. Even we didn't anticipate the absolute collapse lol
On Man United...you were kinda right about Pogba and no one could have guessed what would happen with Be A Good Person. If those two aren't clowns, how different is United's season?
I too thought Norwich would stay up and Brentford would finish bottom. Though I thought Southampton would have a good season- guess we were both wrong.
Sure, you were off on Brentford, but that was really exacerbated by Christian Eriksen coming in for the second half of the season. They were somewhat better than you thought before that, but after that they really took off. It was hard to see coming.
Spot on. The lad had a heart attack only a couple of months before this was filmed, and but for his arrival, there was a genuine chance of Brentford going down.

at 15:29 I saw Liverpool in 4th, with united ahead and I was just disappointed, so disappointed
Never doubt the bees🔥
To be fair it says so much about United that most of us were putting them in contention to rival Liverpool yet they absolutely crumbled. With the squad they had would you argue that they weren't the biggest underachievers of the season?
Nobody saw the Everton tire fire. Not to that extent
First person who gets maguire . He carried that defence for so long. Second best interceptions, tackles and clearances. 3 years
How do you own a KV Mechelen shirt?
You might be correct with southampton 19th next season saying how poor they ended the season
Tottenham were tricky to predict. Add Conte since the very beginning and they might have finished third, stick with Nuno and they'd probably have finished in the second half of the table...
In your defense on Wolves, they had TERRIBLE xG numbers and Jose Sa spent an entire year standing on his head.
Honestly don't think your Spurs prediction was as bad as you say, would have been impossible to predict their Conte hiring and turnaround. They weren't on course for CL before that.
Norwich always do well in FM though
Maguire ?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Looking at other predictions the Everton prediction is pretty damn good.
My beloved Boro got a mention = :)
It was to remind of our failure of a final day = :(
Tbf Man utd did finish 2nd and Liverpool did finish 4nd the previous season, Chelsea where champions League winners and did buy Lukaku who had just had a phenomenal season, I don't think your predictions were that unjustified, hindsight is a skill we humans will never master, but that's a good thing, makes life more unpredictable and that's half the fun
"Sean Dyke" 🤣🤣🤣
At least you didn't think Everton would finish near Europe or in Europe like most
Us Everton fans didn't think Europe was even a possibility.
This is very easy to say after the season has finished but how anyone predicted Norwich to finish anywhere outside the bottom 3 baffles me.
i wish you were right about leicester!
16:30 He probably thinks that Fred is world class as well
What was FM's opinion on the matter?
Sure, you were off on Brentford, but that was really exacerbated by Christian Eriksen coming in for the second half of the season. They were somewhat better than you thought before that, but after that they really took off. It was hard to see coming.
Spot on. The lad had a heart attack only a couple of months before this was filmed, and but for his arrival, there was a genuine chance of Brentford going down.
Tbf who would’ve thought Brentford would sign Eriksen, and he’d go on a tear
In the football community you give yourself a point for each position out a team was. (lower score the better)
Meaning you got 68 Points. not a great score. below 60 is considered decent. Show your score next year

As a norwich fan... that hurt
"Maguire is a world class centre back."
That Maguire confidence...
How does Z think he didn't miss it horribly with Brentford but then goes on to say that he did terribly with Southampton?
How can i send u a save to save ?
I'm not sure what's worse, predicting Burnley to finish 15th or calling their manager "Sean Dyke"
The moment you said united could win the league I felt immediate anxiety going into the season
The Southampton shout will come true this year
Watford will be back up! We'll get relegated the season after and by that point have at least 3 managers, but we'll still do it 😂
Ouch Z, that Man Utd prediction was the worst take I've seen in anyones season prediction. Its gonna be harder to find a defense better than world class Maguire, Varane, and Shaw. Y I K E S
Think Chelsea played very well to start; the Chilwell and James injuries kind of derailed the whole season
