Congrats on the 50k!!! Belief is VITAL for recovery, it’s what will help us all reach that 100%. I’ll only add that you have to sometimes ‘look out for’ your negative beliefs, as they can be subconscious and only surface up when you spot them E.g. mine was that if I had a ‘bad’ night I’d subconsciously expect symptoms in the morning - so now I wake up and declare that I am strong and there’s no need for symptoms! I carried through with plans last night to go to out dinner and to a concert. I surprised myself and stayed for the whole concert and really enjoyed it. Despite my nagging brain. I was pretty much housebound a year ago, afraid to move. Thank you Dan.

I think you've hit the nail on the head no I can't see myself healthy so that's what I need to believe even though I am gaining muscle after being anorexic for a year which is excruciating and have a back condition which is not helped at all by not having the muscle to stabilise it. Going through a flare at the moment and this was just what I needed to hear. Might play this on repeat just to make sure my mind is in the right place. I believe I can get better, 100%, but watching this certainly helps when the anxiety comes knocking on the door 🩵
I'm loving your videos and have cfs/ME rather than pain, and am using the same technique to try to recover. I have had this for years and am over the fear and anxiety now. When I get symptoms at the same time of every day, I don't get any stress or anxiety about it, but I seem to just give up, and I think it is a bit of depression as well as a bit of not doing anything because I feel like I won't enjoy doing anything. So if I want to be free, I need to push through that and somehow make myself do the opposite of what symptoms want, which is lie down in a dark room. and basically my body is used to this now :( I have no idea how to make myself do the opposite without the motivation. I am now used to this terrible routine. I am trying to encourage myself that I've already made progress because I don't have the anxiety about the symptoms anymore, but it is hard be positive, in some ways the anxiety was maybe giving me a push to keep trying, I don't know. Any thoughts welcome!

40 plus symptoms, down to 3. However this hopefully last one it’s sent me is brutal!! - burning sensations and heat all over head / face . Another game of whack-a-mole for last 6 weeks, swatting away negative thoughts ! It’s like ‘are u sure, are u absolutely sure you’re ok - this one will test you’ !! I have to laugh 😂

Hey Dan. Do you beleive I'm cancer screenings? How is it hard to get away from that and not stress when all you see on advertisements, television even billboards and Google talking about cancer 24/7. I can almost bet if they found a cure for that, many people would be at ease or not even worry bout going to get checked anymore. The fear is gone . What do you think? Thanks

@elenastoroni3972 you can see that symptoms turn on or off in certain situations, you have to understand that 5 things in your body can't be hurt at the same time, only the brain can do that!
I added a comment to your previous video and I want to share again. The symptoms that I’ve had for nearly 2 years are finally gone and moved to a different location lol. Consider that - 2 years non stop - and now gone. They have moved. This comes after days of visualisation and logical reasoning. I have believed in mind body for a while now but it’s only recently I’ve made a breakthrough. It’s not enough to think and have the thoughts - but it’s the feelings that are generated behind the thoughts. I am actually free of the original symptom lol. I have it cornered. It’s sore but I’m laughing it at. I’m friends with my brain. This is on its last legs. Continue to build on and capitalise on your small successes no matter how small they all. They all add up.
I got 40/50 in the test. I'm still struggling as pain hyperacusis is rare, and there isn't a doctor who knows about it. What do i do dan? I'm now in constant pain and having to isolate all the time in silence even with severe tinnitus.
Rare doesn't mean it's not curable by the same methods. Safety is the solution. By isolating, you are teaching your brain noise is bad. Avoidance reinforces danger. So how do you believe that you are safe and will get better when your very real body symptoms are screaming at you that no you're not because you can barely function and you're so exhausted that you literally do not have the energy to read a book to learn mindbody healing. For some of us it feels like we're being asked to stay calm and not react and believe that no, we're not on fire... when we're literally on fire.
It's so hard. You are right. Hang in. Be kind to you! It takes time but it's worth the effort. I'm slowly coming back even though I never would have believed it possible.
I don’t know if anybody else has this or has dealt with this before, but it seems I get anxiety more when I’m headed to work than I do when I’m actually at work. Then it seems to ease up when my day is done and I’m headed home. Does anybody else have any similar feelings?
@@joannerowell4410 I think part of the problem was during Covid when everybody was working from home. I work by myself during the day and I think the social isolation has a lot to do with the anxiety.

The FIT assessment was, to my knowledge, spearheaded by Dr. Howard Schubiner. The pain test questions are similar and just a variation on the theme.
