- Ana Vidović is one of the youngest virtuoso guitarists in the world. Ana started playing guitar at the age of 5, and by 7 had given her first public performance. At the age of 11 she was performing internationally, and at 13 became the youngest student to attend the prestigious National Musical Academy in Zagreb, Croatia. Ana has won an impressive number of prizes and international competitions all over the world.
Where's the guy who always coughs in the middle of the performance? .............Did he miss his flight?
Avalanche1368 Unfortunately his video recorder broke down, but don't worry next time he will be prominent present with clear instructions for the wife to record his coughing for benefit of his grandchildren when he passed away in a coughing fit.

i see my comments were removed i had said that a guitar of $20 000 guitar should go through a proper p a system and i hoped ana would not use a pick up again as it is not worthy of her or her luithier

no she always uses a mike an so does every one else im sure it was an experiment gone wrong

Como habitualmente,!magnífica Ana Vidovic!. Es, el sonido normal de guitarra electro-clásica, y en este caso lo es, (observen el cable de conexión conectado a la caja o cuerpo de la guitarra). Comprendo las objeciones pero, a mi parecer, no desmerece la magia. Su ejecución es magistral. Asturias, Albéniz y el arte musical suman otra Musa-Sibila de la guitarra.!Salud!

by the way, I've seen her in concert numerous times,and loved every one of them.I liked her old guitar better though. I wish she'd go back to it

should have used an open air pickup/mic... plug pickups are horrible for classical guitars, excellent performance though...
It is a privilege to hear the intimacy of the guitarist and guitar, especially Ana´s. It is a privilege. It is intimate. Why we prefer a Mic trather than an Amp. The human skin gliding on the strings. ". . . the guitar is more intimate than the piano" Claude Debussy.

As you stand on a stage with the lights on you. You can generally only see the first 3 to 5 rows of people
That was my biggest downfall as a classical artist, my private playing outstripped my public performances considerably.
This screetching from a piezo pickup-system gives me the creeps ... :-(
'Bend-wave-sensors' sound all the same - awful ... and ruin an instrument badly, since they apply weight (mass) to a guitar top (soundboard) that ruins overtones and sustain ...

Massively moving and inspiring but I 1st heard a diff. performance (Ana's) of Albeniz' Asturius. This has a lovely treble, more volume dynamics and MORE SHARP ring endings so more PERCUSSIVE. I might not have the org. & and continuity to check back here for a reply but I"ll venture to say diff. mat'l. strings and not Redgate.
Sounds SO EPIC that a ROCK bassist dreams of complementing.

As many of the UA-cam videos on her, this one doesn't do her credit. I went to see her perform last year in a concerthall where she liked the acoustics. And boy does she have control. Every aspect of the sound seems deliberate. No accents on hard parts, just where she likes to put them musically. On older movies people often nag she pays like a metronome; she was mastering her instrument diligently to a level many will give up on. And I really like the musician she has become.

I agree,the amp makes it sound like a plastic toy or something.you just can't amp nylon strings.you can microphone them though

I just continue to enjoy so much watching and listening to her play. Listening is fine, but watching her skill, beautiful. Mic'd would be a lot more robust for sure.

Although a superb perfomance - what else can you expect from Ana - I find the sound of a lower quality with this internal microfoon.

The amp helps the people at the back hear?
No screws it up. Makes a soothing sound plastic. I am sure Ana did not like the product. But she experimented here. It is time consuming but with the right mikes and peripherals all works better. Some theaters, very few, have great acoustics and you do not even need the equipment.

Who knows? I play both classical and electric (American Special Stratocaster) and they really are different ways of playing.
As a person who played classical guitar for 7 years, I always wondered how does it feel to play electric. Sad to say, when I've tried it recently, I found it objectively quite easy compared to classical. That is not to say it is an inferior instrument, just that it is easier to play.
She would probably be up to the challenge since she loves blues and rock music.

This is actually a piano piece, meant to interpret guitar music. It is great fun to play on the piano, but very difficult.

classical guitar is great for learning and playing but it will alwayys be boring for perfrormance and you are not going o change it maybe some day some one will but its not you ,sorry still boring and that song is the worst to play no one knows it but everyone plays it ,it harsh and unpleasant,sorry total fail, by the way I studied classical guitar lol

and for amplified instrument she doesn't need a Smallman guitar
