I like the words as they are presented in this song, rather than in the version I learned as a Methodist. The Godhead consists of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost--three separate beings, not one person--but one in purpose.
GOD in Three PERSONS : God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. So The Holy Spirit is A Person. He who has the same mighty power as our God Almighty and our Lord Jesus Christ. Why..? Simply because He is HIM. And through Him ( The Holy Spirit), He fills our souls with joy and mercy. The Lord is coming soon. Let’s the Holy Spirit lead us to the light to save our souls and give us wisdoms to aware of this GLORIOUS Event . May God open the eyes of the hearts so that we may see the truths. “YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTHS AND THE TRUTHS SHALL SET YOU FREE”. AMEN
It is 2:15 am in the UK and I have just finished cleaning my laptop, etc. I then listened to the Tabernacle Choir sing HOLY HOLY HOLY. I chose this hymn as the first hymn at my husband's recent funeral in Stafford, England. It was played very very loudly and I felt God's presence. I am old, yet had never see death before or anyone dying. But I was stoic and knuckled down to my duties with loving care. I chose for the sermon, "Consider the Lilies...". I was brought up in a Church of England Convent, St. Gabriel's , and when the vicar's assistant visited at home to arrange the funeral service, it all was decided in five minutes: Holy Holy Holy, All things bright and Beautiful and The Day Thou gave Lord is ended, with the sermon on "Consider the lilies of the field...". I really love this Tabernacle Choir. God Bless them all. What pure love of God-bless them always. They are my love and salvation and give me peace and calm to carry on. By the way, nobody spoke to me at the funeral service or after the service-Nobody. (I am on elbow crutches with a poor hip and I am coloured). This is England. Hearing this song again (for the first time in a long while) makes me long for the days when the stores were closed and the churches were open on the sabbath. I happen to be Jewish, BUT having one day a week where family could get together unmolested by worldly requirements was good for our society.
I like the words as they are presented in this version of this wonderful song I learned as a child in the Methodist church. I know the scriptures are clear that the Godhead is made up of three separate and distinct persons: Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost---three persons who are one in purpose.
Because God is Holy, He wants us to be Holy. This is possible through the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling in us. Thank you God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. To God be the glory forever.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. That really touched my heart. So beautiful! I will always hear this with greater Thanksgiving!
This hymn, as powerful as it is, is made even more powerful when the true identity of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost as three individuals is proclaimed in this anthem. As a horn player, I love the brass and percussion accompaniment!! The harmonic modulation from E major to F major is so chilling.
