If a mortal can produce this magnificent piece, just emagine what is waiting for us in our FATHERS house.
Yes indeed🙏.
❤
Something more beautiful than we could ever imagine.
🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
The story behind the composing of this is fascinating. Handel fasted and stayed awake during the 21 days it took him to compose the entire thing, had a vision of God on His throne while composing this portion.
I was paralyzed in bed last year and I heard Jesus say out loud to me - If you believe in me get up and walk💜🕊💜 I got up and not only walked but went for a walk outside. Praise God!!!!! GOD IS ALWAYS WORKING!!!! ✌💜🕊🙏
Halleujah
Ah yes...Hallelujah ✝️♥️🙏🎄✨️
Praise be to God
God is good. Always!
Praise god
Every time the women sing KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS and their pitch gets higher and higher, always touches my soul in ways I can't explain. Simply angelic.
That part always makes the hair on my back and arms stand up.
My sentiments exactly!
I used to could sing that high soprano but as I've gotten older I'm now more of an alto as my voice has gotten lower.
I completely agree. At that point, I feel like heaven and earth touch, and that's where I get a glimpse of heaven. I think Jesus had his hand on Handel's should when he wrote the whole Oratorio.
I sang this with about 1500 other high school students in Germany, in 1974. Every school in the country sent one student to a massive festival, and I was honored to be part of it, as the representative from the US Air Force headquarters high school from Wiesbaden. First and only time in my life I have broken a sweat singing my guts out.
I would've love to have heard that. Is there a recording of it anywhere?
Ha. That's so cool
I too used to sing it in 2014 being a pupil in high school❤. Hello from Burundi, thé beautiful country in Africa!
When you see Jesus...and all you can do is fall down and worship Him.
This might be the single most magnificent song in history.
No might be about it, it is.
It most definitely is
Along with Beethoven' ninth and the song of Joy version
AMEN!!♥️♥️✝️✝️
Yes it is. The king stood when it started. We stand for it ever since then.
No one does this piece better than the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! NO ONE!!
Absolutely
I totally agree ten times over!!
The anthem never gets old... God bless the composer
I’m agnostic for most of the time in life, but these 4 minutes make me want to pray to the heavens! Just a beautiful choir of talented, beautiful people that makes you think the best of humanity. Thanks for bringing this to us all.
Jesus is truly the Son of God and Saviour and Lord!
Percayalah Kristus adalah Tuhan dan Raja, Juruselamat saudaraku, seluruh kerajaan-kerajaan di dunia akan rumah tapi Kerajaannya tidak berkesudahan
Praise Him and you will find rest in your soul and your life.
I'm not Mormon but your choir is a blessing! I get chills every time I hear this song and want to fall on my face before the Lord. For His glorious return I pray...
Amen
The eternal god
Me too!
AMEN!
I'm not Mormon either, but I agree with you. This choir and orchestra is beyond good. They are superb!
This. Favorite piece of music ever written. Whenever i hear it, i feel Christ in me. I love pop and rock, but it just doesn't have the same effect.
Some day we may hear this actually sung by a Heavenly choir of millions.
Oh l hope so, l hope so!!
Amen, I hope so too
Amen!
And we will be singing with them.
One thing that the Mormons did was to understand the need for high quality choir and orchestra because it touches and bangs us n the soul for Gods revelation and spirit n our hearts
That’s one thing that the church I attend doesn’t understand. Nobody wants to put an effort into singing.
I’m Catholic and I’m here for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir because they just do the music justice like no other choir I’ve heard. Magnificent. Just beyond words.
God bless you for such very true insight
I grew singing this in high school. I simply love it! When I regained consciousness after a major medical. My son was playing this at my medside to prove to"medical professionals that's I was responsive and lucid. They wanted to give up on me. But hmy son knew what to do to interest me to wake up. Hallelujah!!
Correct! 💘
Even though a Christian Orthodox, I have to give it to these Mormon Choristers.. Their voices are pure heaven and take the celebration of Christmas to another level!
Congratulations to all involved in this video. God Bless!
Leporello Gatos I agree!!
And no one in the choir gets paid. They all volunteer their time.
@@perrymasonxix5954 from.Prophets ,Apostle a whatever position in Church is no pay at all.
I love it too, once upon a time, when I was young, I was mormon, but now I know that music is vibration of matter, if there is no matter,( air), music is impossible, then in heaven...
@@luizantoniokesselring6831 What makes you think you can know anything of heaven? Many have heard heavenly choirs singing. What do we know? Don't lose your faith in God because of ignorance of His reality. Man's is the failure of intellect, not our Creator.
✨Come Lord Jesus, come. God's Will be done in all things. IJNIP, Amen.✨✝️🙏🏼💖
Hallelujah! Amen.🙌🏻
Handel actually cried tears to his Servant upon finishing this oratorio…” God has truly spoken through me on this day!” 1741 AD
Magnificent Choir!!!
Thank you
God bless the man that composed this anthem
The mighty god! Amen!
Composed by George Frideric Handel. ~
Alleluia Alleluia God bless Him more 🙏 ❤️ ❤
I am so grateful to know You Lord! Thank You.....for coming to former lifelong atheist!
Kitty Watson .....You’ll be blessed, forever, here & in Heaven! 🙏🏼 I have received so many many miracles, I will never ever stop believing in Almighty God! 🛐
Best choir on the planet. And I'm an atheist. It is truly to awesome to experience this in the tabernacle, which I have. What an amazing space of pure acoustic bliss. My music and choir teacher in high school was a soprano member and her voice was so beautiful and powerful. She was a wonderful woman and music teacher.
The mighty god!
May God bless you..❤❤❤
You may not believe in God but He believes in you.
The Mormon Tabernacle choir I believe is one of the greatest choirs in the world.
I can just imagine Jesus in heaven listening to this choir ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Handel would be proud listening to this
In a 65 person Church Choir, my first such experience, we were blessed to learn this from our Pastoral Minister, JM ..he put us through the paces for 4 months to sing this at Christmas Eve Mass 2018. I had never been aware of this song. After the Choir sang this, ( I was in as a Bass 1 ) for our congregation, I, we, many seniors, kindda fell back on the bench seats in the Choir Loft, just winded and near tears that we pulled it off. The Choir Pastoral Minister bid us to stand, from below in the Church, 300 fellow parishioners applauded. I looked at my feet in humility. We had put in 4 hrs a week for 4 months, I could feel Heaven and the smile of Jesus and my deceased family.
Now, if I listen to Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing this, I cry.
God prevailed.
Covid flees,
Maybe soon we sing in Choir again.
I have never heard such a high quality level . This is a miracle of perfection. I am not a mormon but I bless you all for this gift.
The mighty god!
I have always loved this song it gives me peace
This was my dad's favorite hymn partly because he learned to play the organ in Holland in early 1940 at 13 yrs. old. The same organ Mozart and Mendellson trained on.
Old line Southern Baptist here but I must say that the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra of the Latter-Day Saints Temple are in my opinion the best in the world. Couple that with what is probably the most magnificent piece of music ever written and you surely must feel that the Heavens have opened up and the angels have joined in.
Heavenly music has descended on earth. HALLELUJAH INDEED
Christ is Risen today . Hallelujah . the Whole World . Happy Easter to the Whole World . Re Birth to the World.
I sang this with about 1500 other singers in a massive hall at the state hall in the German state of Hesse. I think it was the Kurhaus. First and only time in my life I broke into a hard sweat singing a song. It was ... stunning.
I generally have a dim view of humanity, but to think that a man could compose this wonderful tribute to the King of Kings raises it a little in my view. Holy Spirit inspired no doubt.
There is hope for the future with like minded good people.
Que benção d o céu direto para terra maravihha riquezas divina não tem quem não goste.
In just 24 days no less! Definitely inspired
Handel must have been inspired by God when he wrote Messiah. Because when you listen to it, all of the songs, especially this Hallelujah Chorus, just feel like the kind of songs the hosts of heaven would sing when they raise their voices to praise their Lord and Redeemer.
Can’t imagine when we all sing this in heaven for his glory showing him how much we are grateful for saving us. Merci Jesus
Yup
praise God
Amen, thank you Jesus!
Doesn't matter how long it's been
This song is seared into the memories of people who sang it 😌
Without a doubt.. my college oratorio choir performed Handel’s Messiah in 1975 (1st. Alto here!) and I remember it like it was yesterday.
My parents played this every Christmas to wake everyone up in the morning.
I may be Lutheran, but this choir and orchestra performs this song beautifully
This reminds me that COVID is not the end. Thank you
My spirit leaps every time I hear this. Praise to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Phenomenal
soon the whole world will sing this and bow down to the Lord Messiah.
My Catholic school choir sang this at every Christmas concert. We closed the show with it. We were good, but not Mormon Tabernacle Choir good.
Even when you realize, that all Guardian angels of God are beside of you,
ready to fight against the evel in the dark of desparation and grieve
with his love and the holy spirit which enlights you suddenly like a flash
"I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself."
The words of George Frideric Handel just as he had finished composing the Hallelujah Chorus, his face awash with tears.
Genial
That perfectly describes what I imagined the creator of this magnificent paean would behold upon it's completion. Wonderful that it's true.
Alleluia
Divino
...and in only 24 days.
My only hope is to hear this hymn to be sing by all the righteous people to receive Jesus from heaven in the second coming.
Of course you will. See you there!
I hope this is the song God had the angels blast when Christ descends it will be the most miraculous event ever in mankind and shall ever be for the rest of eternity! Praise God for his amazing choir! Praise the king of kings!
Excellent
Probably the most heavenly and uplifting chorale ever composed. If all liturgical music sound as good as Hallelujah, then attendances in houses of worship would never decline. Kudos to the late, great German-born composer, G.F. Handel, Hallelujah!
I can only imagine how glorious it shall be when the Lord shall return and a song like unto this shall be played for the King of Kings
The lyrics are, in fact, taken from the 15th chapter of Revelation, if I'm not mistaken..
That is correct, Lee.
Actually Bryce and Lee, it's from Isaiah 9:6, word for word. It's beautiful!
Lars Smith Nope. You're thinking of "For unto Us a Child Is Born." That's a different piece from Handel's "Messiah." The lyrics to the "Hallelujah Chorus" aer taken from Revelation 11:15, Revelation 19:6, and Revelation 19:16. So I was crediting the wrong chapter, but the right book.
My apologies. I was mistaken. It is from Revelations. I was thinking of For Unto Us A Child Is Born.
Its just not Christmas until the Tabernacle Choir sings "Unto us a Child is Born" and "the Hallelujah Chorus" .
I will love this song forever There is something about this song its always made me have chills and happiness and God is in charge It always will
Sat in the mormon tabernacle in salt lake city with the choir and organ and it was awesome
I can picture JESUS RETURN ON EARTH AND THIS BEING THE SANG , WOW !!! GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!
Nothing like the sound of a mass choir 🙏
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!!! King of kings and Lord of lords!
The kingdom of this world is become the kingdom of our God and His Christ. Hallelujah ❤
I wish I was one of them. God bless them abundantly
Absolutely epic and hair-raising performance!
I think half the views of this are mine. This is by far the best version I've ever heard. Absolutely incredible!
The other half are mine :)
Tears in my eyes listening to this majestic piece- brilliant composer, Hayden, & this beautiful & gifted choir & orchestra. Couldn't get any better! I never tire of listening to this piece.
It’s Handel lol
The composer is Handel, not Hayden.
The best choir ever.....God bless what a majestic performance.....
Through Jesus, salvation for us sinners - the greatest gift in our existence, by God's grace !!! Hallelujah !!
Play this at my funeral, since I am meeting my creator FINALLY!
I just don't know why but this helped me out during an anxiety attack and it seems weird but I was able to just listen to the music and focus on singing this song.
Same here
I am Christian .. im not really into gospel music but this song sends my pores raising because its such a powerful song ❤
My old High School Choir preformed this magnificent piece 2ys in a row for our Christmas Concert and I was a Soprano. I will have to say I have never in my life worked as hard as I did for any piece before than I worked for this piece. This was BY FAR my favorite musical performance I have participated in; in all my years of Choir. The next week the school played it over the speaker system and everyone thought it was a professional choir, as did I. I hadn't realize we were being recorded and didn't even come to the though that the angelic voice I was hearing was my own High School choir! This piece will always hole a special place in my heart.
My high school choral group also sings this each year at Christmas; it's a tradition more than 40 years old. I, too, had the privilege of singing Soprano on this wonderful piece... Even during the dark days of high school, my heart and soul was lifted when I sang this song ... it was like a piece of Heaven.
oh that's really great
Congratulations!
Eleven pages of the most exciting anything I did in high school. I too sang soprano!
My high school choir performed this every year and I was in concert choir for 3 years and I loved doing this piece. I sang tenor.
The pinnacle of western civilization!
There will never be a celebration as great as Christmas in the world💯💯💯 what a beautiful song 🌹
This incredible piece of music makes me want to jump for joy. I heard the Choir sing this live and it was electrifying! 20,000 people stood up at the end and gave them a standing ovation. Gives me goosebumps to remember that experience.
Finest piece of music ever written. Praise God
One of The Worlds best Chiors.
Indeed, He's the Lord of Lords!
And He shall reign forever and ever.🙏🏽🙏🏽
The best choir ever!!
Mormon Tabernacle Choir is fantastic........incomparable.
The best song ever! Period.
Praise God
Was grateful and blessed to sing Hallelujah Chorus for so many times when i was still singing in the choir.
Whenever I feel the human beings are irredeemable, I turn to this and other sacred music to lift my spirits and remind that human beings can also be extraordinary. Beautiful rendition. Always gives me goosebumps.
This brings uncontrollable tears of joy to my eyes. Fall on your knees and rejoice, we are saved!
Me too!
It does
Amen
AMEN. GOD IS GOOD✝️
Heavenly music! Touched my soul!
i do not know what inspired handel..yet clearly he created a road to faith
This is the best alleluia I ever heard honestly 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬 love you all keep up the spirit
This made me cry so much! King of Kings and Lord of Lords....so amazing!!
It´s the best interpretation of Hallelujah... Thanks Chorus
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir knocks it out of the park every time! Nobody does it better. ❤❤❤
I think this is on of the songs played at the throne of God
Absolutely stunning. I love it. Praise the Lord.
Um dos corais mais perfeitos que já ouvi em minha vida Emocionante !
While listening to this magnificent choir singing praises to my Lord, Jesus Christ, I had chills running up and down my spine....my heart and soul resonated with love for Him...thank you!
Juta Semmel don't know if recorded in tabernacle or conference center. We don't do ovations at end. May have been a recording session
When I was in pre-med at the University of Utah, I also had a job at a hotel across from Temple Square…which has the “Tab” choir. Thursday mornings were full practice. So I would sit and listen….”Ordinary looking” folks would walk in, chatting and laughing. Then with one voice and the powerful pipe organ, music and voices would join as one. The Tabernacle built 150 years ago with perfect acoustics. If you ever go West, go to Temple Square, learn about the journey with handcarts through the plains and mountains, architecture of the city. Salt Lake City is a beautiful city.
The Universal Anthem of the Lord Jesus Christ.
my highschool used to sing this at our Christmas performances. it was the hardest song to learn but it was so beautiful to hear us all together ♥️ I graduated in 2019 and its something I'll never forget
I belonged to my H.S. Chorus back in 1958 and we did this. My oldest sister and my 5th sister were opera singers too. This sends chills up my spine.
"Hallelujah" is one of the greatest operatic choruses of all time.
Hallelujah hallelujah God reigns forever. This song is so powerful!
Yes agreed amen!
The most beautiful music ever written to be sung!
When you realize that all those things you've done wrong were already paid for by a loving Savior and that if you'll just repent they'll be remembered no more. He is Risen!!!
AMEN! Praise GOD!
So perfect rendition of Handel's messiah on christmas and Easter
Quite possibly the most magnificent piece of music ever written. It's full of Truth and Glory. And how the Tabernacle choir does it is amazing.
My soul is in heaven now!!!!- angels singing to Our LORD forever!! Hallelujah!!! OUR LORD GOD FOREVER AND EVER!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
Hallelujah the savior was born yesterday! This chorus was fabulous !
OMG!! watching them perform takes you one step closer to God :)
You are one of the great choirs of the world!
Just a stunning performance! When I was in high school, our choir's tradition for years( and to this day, I believe) was that the final song of our Christmas concert was this one. But not only the choir sang, anyone from the audience was invited to come forward around the stage and help perform it. We had a small town high school, about 400 kids total. So, many people from town, not just parents, would fill the whole front of the auditorium. A choir of about 40 or 50 kids became an instant, multi-generational, community celebration of Christmas! It is one of my best high school memories! We rocked the place!
Yes ours did this as well. All 4 of the choirs/choruses, the whole symphony & band would play & I remember everyone even the whole audience singing along. It's such a powerful masterpiece that brings so much joy to everyone in the building & to this day whenever I hear it I get tears & goosebumps & my heart is filled with the Holy Spirit I can just imagine the angels in heaven rejoicing when they hear everyone singing it!!
I sang it with a small church choir that doesn't compare to this. Still, I couldn't sing. All I could do was cry and move my mouth. It was amazing to be part of it. It still makes me cry. I am further impressed that they are not using music.
Hallelujah when you hear this song and it so makes you know God is here, and there is nothing to fear! There's only God's loving arms around each one of us... this song proves it! Thank you dear Mormons!
AMEN
I’m blessed and touched by watching this for a moment🥹
