Thank you for the reply. I really love the old lenses than modern lenses. They all have some stories and full of emotion for me. For Leica, I don't need high resolution and clear image( I prefer medium format digital camera or large format filFor, all I want is emotional expression, even out of focus and motion blur. So the lenses of Leica on 135 format, that's my really concern. ;)
I was just very lucky and found a collapsible Summicron with serial number 920 in very good condition for £15 at a "second hand" store. Mine is an M mount, but to be honest I wish it was screw mount. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but did wonder about whether the yellow glass acted like a yellow filter. I suppose I will just use it with only black and white film. I have heard that sitting the lens under a UV light bulb for a week will correct it. This was a lovely video, thank you for the English subtitles.

At first I was surprised there were such big differences between them, but luckily you gave an explanation about the yellow filter. Probably the new generation is technically better than the older one, but the differences should not be big. Personally, I am a lover of old gear and I even like the imperfections of old technology, but when it comes to Leitz lenses, there are no imperfections! Thank you for the interesting video.
Oh, and about the legends about radioactive lenses: We were told that some of the lenses were made of radioactive glass stocks by the German company Carl Zeiss Jena, which were exported by Red Army under "war reparations" to the USSR. Industars-61 L / D and L / Z (lanthanum glass) appear to belong to these series. But nothing is known about the harmfulness of this radiation for humans. The truth is that the Industars-61 L / D and L / Z weren't produced until the 60-70s.
@@robhosailor Thanks for telling me this. Someone has tested the lens glass with a Geiger tester, and it does have relatively weak radiation readings. But it is said that it weakens to very little after 10 centimeters away.

Are there any vintage lenses from Leica other than this v.1 that have lanthanum oxide glass? I think Leica had used this type of glass in the 50 and 60’s. Is the 8 Element one of those?

Yes, the yellow glass almost acted like a yellow filter. If you use black and white film, you should add 1/3 or 1/2 stop while you are shooting.

这支镜头如果出门放在口袋里会对健康有影响吗？
胶片的空气感，我觉得跟场景是有很大关系的。以我的经验，通常是主体比较明确的的特写和近景。我以前用contax G35，经常拍出空气感，大场景和没有明确主体的风景不太容易感受到。当然“空气感”的理解可能有不同，在视觉上我觉得是前后景深的过渡非常有渐进感，而在心理上产生一种感受到主体“悬浮”在前面一定距离空气中的感觉。像小文青一样去拍消防栓，半身近景，可能会更容易有空气感。

As I know, the 8-elements is not the one of those. The glass of 8-element is natural fluorspar.
I think the Elmar 50mm f2.8 has lanthanum too.

这个带放射的镜头不能用在数码相机身上吧，会伤害到CMOS吗
不会，只有前组有辐射，后组用了重铅玻璃，对胶卷和cmos都没问题。
不知道這黃鏡頭在M數碼機的效果是如何？ 有沒有問題？
就是加了一块黄色滤片。我见过有在镜头上再加一块蓝镜把这个黄色抵消掉的。但最好的办法还是用紫外线灯照一下把这个黄色去掉。
