The most ironic thing about Venti's character; is that he, as Barbatos, represents the element of freedom. And yet, because of his trauma and loss, he never let go of the nameless bard's memory. Even to the point, of taking his form and image.
*"To be free, is to be often lonely."*
If you think about people like Sucrose, Kazuha and Xiao, share similar themes of freedom and losing people dear to them. To gain the power of the wind, one must be free from a world attachments, meaning to lose that earthly theter.

Venti's story quest and his interaction with Stanley really demonstrates that his current relationship with his people is a lot more like the relationship between gods and humans irl. Barbatos acts as a spiritual guide for the people of Mondstadt more than anything; not a ruler or miracle worker or almighty force like Morax or Beelzebul for their nations. He leaves the people of Mondstadt to achieve things by their own mortal means, but is ever-present in their hearts as a comfort, a motivation, and an anchoring point for their values. For many religious people these days, their relationship with the divine serves much the same purpose; one may believe that the gods set principles and laws to live your life by, but they are not sitting in your nation's capital giving orders directly to humans. When Stanley says "I always believed you exist," I found it really moving. Unlike Morax and Beelzebul, Barbatos' existence in Mondstadt really is a matter of belief, and it is another aspect of freedom for Mondstadt: Barbatos leaves even his status as a god up to whether the people choose to have faith in him or not.

I love this. Venti is my favorite Genshin character since before the game even launched, as I read the manga prologue out of a whim, and he's full of little archetypes I love in general (trickster, god in disguise, sad immortal, magical musician, crouching idiot hidden badass, air/wind element...) He is a fool but he is wise; he is childish wonder and playfulness but he is old; he's powerful as PC but he's weak as NPC; he forever wanders yet his friendship feels like home; he acts cheerful when he is full of sorrow; he's tied up by his own ideal of freedom; he sacrifices his power to give power to humans; he can only help by spurring other people's rebellions, because if he rebels himself he ruins his people's free will or their safety; he opposes Celestia but must keep silent about it, likely even being forced to obey them and do atrocities in the past; his grief got him addicted to a pleasure that he even gifted his people and now can't obtain easily because of the shape he stubbornly takes because of this grief; he became the god his friend and his people would've wanted, the opposite of Decarabian: someone who just reshapes the land and then stops being their god.
I also find incredibly interesting that he alone reached the same conclusion the other two archons took centuries to understand, despite his ideal being the polar contrary to theirs. Morax retired and left his people to govern themselves while still living among them in disguise as a witness of their progress, protecting their forgotten history... same as Barbatos, who as a bard preserves the stories of his land. Beelzebul isn't remotely the same of course but there are parallels: also plagued by grief for someone with her same face, retired from the world after making sure there's a system or someone to delegate, because she believed that staying might jeopardize her country and her ideal in the long run. Yet in this absence people had abused their power (aristocracy, the Fatui and the Kujou + Kanjou commisions) and her people were rebelling against it. Makes me itch for in-game interactions between Venti and Zhongli and Ei, because he'd probably have a lot to tell them today over a nice cup of wine, both in jest and in earnest. Venti always knew humanity is amazing and shouldn't be underestimated or controlled by the gods, just nurtured and cherished.

It's odd, through Venti the other archons seem more down to earth and more human. Despite Venti rarely interacting with his people he comes across as the most human among the archons so far. I feel like Zhongli may be the only other person/archon who understands him best. Because when Venti wants to, he speaks exactly like Zhongli. Having this presence of power and authority.
But a god of freedom flexing his authority is an oxymoron. Any conversation with Venti feels like he knows way more then he lets on.

Humanity in godhood is something that I've noticed in all 3 archons we have met so far, not only in Venti.
-Venti, you have already poignantly covered (good video, thanks for it).
-Zhongli's possible transformation arc is about learning what it is to be human. There are many things in game pointing to that. The lore for Memories of Dust, for example, points to Guizhong's humanity (the brain) as a foil to Zhongli's ruthlessness (the brawn) in the Archons war, and Guizhong's challenge to Zhongli was to unlock the Memories of Dust, which required an act of understanding. This would carry a lot of importance to him in the millennia to follow.
In the EN voicelines, Venti calls him a brute, but in the CN voicelines (aka the original) he merely says that Zhongli can't understand human feelings. From the Archaic Petra lore, we know that during the Archon Wars Zhongli acted as the embodiment of the perfect soldier--no emotions, no compassion for his foes, only war, because he needed to do that to fulfill his contract. All of this makes it pretty clear that Zhongli struggled to understand human feelings, and that after the war was over and his brawn was no longer needed, he likely felt the sense of emptiness and detachment from society that soldiers feel, increased by the troubles that he apparently had with understanding human emotions to begin with, and the pain of loss (that would only get worse with time). I mean, people laugh at Zhongli being mora-less, but the fact that he's the creator of mora while having little awareness of its value can be seen as a sign of general lack of social awareness. He's out of touch with the daily life of people, basically.
The realization of this (that he struggles to understand the very people he's supposed to lead) might have clicked in his mind as the thing that Guizhong wanted him to understand, the solution to her puzzle: empathizing with what it is to be human. It's important to notice that Zhongli never stopped thinking about Guizhong (you see this in the CN voicelines), that unlocking the Memories is a goal with a strong personal importance to him, because it means fulfilling the promise he made to her, and perhaps also soothing the pain left by her absence--a way to deal with the loss of (arguably) the most important person in his life.
The reason why Zhongli decided to give up on his godhood and check whether Liyue could stand on its own, might very well have been to check whether he could step down from his duty as protector to pursue that personal goal of him that he never could, and to fulfill the promise to Guizhong. He retired from godhood to dedicate himself to being fully human.
Even setting this aside, Zhongli has been dealing with human emotions and problems for a long time: loss and preserving the memories of the people that once existed. The stories that he listens to over and over could be a way of reliving the memories he made with his past friends, of making them come alive for a little bit longer.
-About Ei, honestly I don't have much to say. I sadly lost interest in her with the 2.1 Inazuma debacle, and don't feel very motivated to think about her. However, even without investigation, it's pretty clear that her conflict revolves around dealing with transience and finiteness (which also ties to loss), both very human issues, as a deity. Learning to live in the moment, like her sister Makoto did, and like everything in Inazuma--the legacy of Makoto--seems to encourage her to do (cherry blossoms, for example, are basically THE symbol of transience).
The motivation that led her to pursue eternity is extremely human as well (fear of loss), and her response is as flawed as you'd expect a human to have (isolate herself from everyone, even her responsibilities). It's nearly childish, IMO; it reminded me of how children think to be hidden when they cover the eyes: "if I don't see things changing, things won't change!" (followed by the surprised Pikachu face when things do, in fact, change). Granted, there was also the goal of protecting herself from erosion, but still...
Finally, Ei too come with the use of stories to preserve the memories of the fallen (a form of etenrity, maybe), just like Venti and Zhongli do. We read this in the drop-shaped weapon upgrade material, can't remember how it's called.
EDIT: The 2.5 Inazuma quest made me re-evaluate Ei. Don't get me wrong, the idea behind her character has always been very good, but ideas alone are nothing. The execution of an idea *is* the story, and Ei's change was handled abysmally in the previous quests. The recent quest can make for a really good internal midpoint; it makes Ei's struggle emerge in a compelling manner, as well as supporting her change by putting more at stake. The only problem is that this isn't supported by an exhaustion phase, which was non-existent. Imagine if, instead of going with her on a date in 2.1, we were shown that Inazuma no longer trusted her after her long ass-time of fuckups, that Miko--her only remaining friend--had been portrayed as more detached from her because Ei essentially abandoned her for centuries. Imagine if Ei had to deal with the destroyed lives and ambitions of the people who died due to her mistakes, and the anger of those who loved them. Basically, if she had come here after being "destroyed" by the price of her massive mistakes, and after the repeated proof that her survival system no longer worked, she truly started to change her mind. The scene in the 2.5 story quest would then feel an actual rebirth, and she would be now ready to earn back the trust of her people.
    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
At the end of the day, I don't think you can have it differently, if you want gods as a characters. Stories explore human problems, so if you want a god to be a PoV character in a story, and not just an external or opposing force, that god too must be human.

    • @transient_moonlight
      @transient_moonlight 2 роки тому +28

@@momsaccount4033 Yes, and there's a lot to unpack. First, there were very blatant issues as large as the sun, that have been discussed countless times during the past month. Example: plot points like the resistance--one of the main points--being ignored, or a lot of the most important parts of the story happening offscreen (how the hell did the reistance just get to Inazuma City? How did Yae negotiate with Scaramouche?)
But all of that, to me, pales in comparison to the issues with how the themes were executed, or the lack of meaning behind a lot of the events.
Signora died, for example, but who the hell cares when the story showed us absolutely nothing about her? Teppei was put there as an obcious bait to make people angry at Signora, but the writers were merely resorting to expendable characters to force emotional reactions out of the players, rather than building up actual emotional investment for later use. Yes, there were flashy/cool scenes, no doubt, but scenes like that are hollow without meaning. Like movies full of special effects, chases, battles and what you have, but little internal plot.
The crux of the issue about meaning emerges when you consider Raidens' character, and how she was neutered. "Meaning" in a story comes when a character's "imperfect self", aka their flawed but powerful convinctions coming from a survival system (also known as "control theory") that no longer works, clashes with the reality that their worldview is dysfunctional. Due to how our brains work (we have neural models for everything, and that's how we interact with the world) we essentially *are* our systems of beliefs, our neural models. To question one's worldview, when that worldview is very radicated, is to make an attack to the very existence of said person (seriously, our brain's response is the same as a fight or flight situation). This means that the person will resist and try to make their worldview work, only to fail and suffer because of it, until the person's survival system and whole world starts to shatter, and they become ambivalent about the possibility of change. They can eventually start exploring new ways (that align with the thematic viewpoint of the story) or change for worse, devolving into their crubling systems of beliefs (and therefore ending up losing everything). The conflict that leads to this unraveling, the choice to change and HOW to change (evolve towards the "truth" of the thematic viewpoint and "win", or devolve even deeper into your own outdated beliefs and "lose") generate the meaning of the story.
This means that the most comepelling characters have powerful ideas and intense internal conflicts (that lead to just as intense external and relationship conflicts). Every scene poses a "dramatic choice" (choose between 2 or more evils or 2 or more goods) that involves real loss, which in turns exploses the character's vulnerabilities and contradictions (that stem from their flawed survival system), but despite the struggles they keep coming out of that convinced to be doing the right thing, even as they tear the world into pieces and everything around them burns (this could refer just to their own life, not necessarily large scale events). That's until their survival system becomes exhausted and they reach their breaking point, and they no longer know what to do, when their worldview no longer works and they no longer even know who they are. That's key to writing an even remotely compelling character arc, because that's how the human mind works.
Raiden was deprived of this through deresponsibilization in the name of "marketability". The writers were like:
"Oh, it's not like she believed so strongly in this idea for eternity and the good of her nation that she was willing to do anything for it, even the most controversial choices. It's just that she isolated herself and let an AI do everything for her. So it's not really her fault, see? She's a pretty nice gal once you get to know her".
In theory, she acted out of fear of loss, out of a pain due to loss that was supposedly so deeply radicated in her to change her whole worldview. A survival system born of a traumatic event is an extremely tough beast to beat. Yet, in the story, Raiden went back on her choices in a very short amount of time, and with far too little SHOWN struggle.
When you weaken the conflict like this, the themes lose impact and meaning. When Kokomi and the Resistance stand for the ambitions of the people (setting aside the fact that they just went poof during the story only to magically reappear at the end out of the blue), it loses impact, because the opponent that their idea has to face is weak. Raiden is just like "okay, no more vision hunt, can we go back to how things were before? Pretty please?"
Another facet of the deresponsibilization of Raiden is the lack of consequences. Consequences are the most important tool to deliver a theme in a story: you do something that goes agains the thematic viewpoint, you lose and increasingly bad stuff happens. Why aren't we shown the reality of a post civil-war nation, to further rub in our faces just how flawed and inattainable Raiden's ideal of eternity is, and how beautifully insane she was for chasing it with total dedication to the point of disaster? Why is the traveler suddenly best buddies with her? Why do her people act like nothing happened?
Also, Scaramouche could have been another amazing way to explore the consequences of Raiden's pursuit of eternity--a puppet to be dsicarded, born because she was working to escape into her meditation plane. Instead, we get INFODUMPED by Yae. Infodump is the most disrespectful form of writing--when you see it in a story, there are 3 options: a)the writers didn't care b)the writers know nothing of their craft c)external factors came into play (bean counters rushing them, for example). I tend to believe that c) was the case, which makes this whole debacle even sadder.
You may tell me: well, Liyue and Mondstat didn't go into this kind of depth either, why are you singling Inazuma out? Because Liyue and Mondstat went for simpler kinds of stories and their execution was ok. Liyue, for example, despite a day of calamity, hadn't been worn out by prolonged isolation and civil war caused by the delusion of their archon. Inazuma tried to touch a more complex scenario, its story was HYPED into Celestia, its rushed execution slammed everything into the ground. He fits the land of Mondstadt so well and will always remind me of the early game, when he was that amazingly broken character on the 1st banner leading us through the prologue, only Paimon making an appearance sooner than he and Dvalin do, my first experiences with a game that itself was very much defined by the sense of freedom of exploring Genshin.

venti is a really interesting character and that's why i personally chose him to be my favorite out of everyone. even when sumeru dropped i never stopped loving him, hoping for more lore and hidden secrets behind his character.
what makes his character super interesting is that he's not just a character who's an alcoholic, likes to be chaotic, childish and likes to cause trouble, you can really see that when you look more deep into his character he's actually a all-powerful god who is a form of freedom yet is bound with his past and he never seemed to let go of it, but acts like a normal human being to prevent himself from becoming what he feared to become ever since he faced the mondstadt war.
so many people underestimate him for being lazy and irresponsible to his own nation, yet mondstadt seems to be more peaceful than other nations. many people believe in him because he's passionate about humans, because he promised his old friend that he'd make mondstadt a better place, and he did fulfill that promise. (and might've gotten a bit attached too)
he may be cheerful when we see him, but deep down his trauma is what still makes him grieve to this day. he doesn't forget what he witnessed and experienced, so he becomes attached to it. he hides his pain through his smile and by making himself feel better by helping those who are in need.
he has so much lore on his hands too, he hides so many secrets that he can't tell to prevent any destruction happening ever since the archon war. he's closely tied to celestia, but he doesn't like celestia because of all the secret he knows. he's a very important character that's tied with one of the most important characters in lore. he's tied with the god of time, who is probably his mom. he has witnessed and seen things and because of that, he wants teyvat to have a normal life and to stop any evil once and for all.
that's what makes his character probably the best; its like we know so much about him yet its only probably 30% of his character. there's still so much more to learn about him, its like we're so close to his character yet to far from what he's hiding.
safe to say venti is truly one of the best written characters in the game, he isn't boring or unlovable, and that's why people love him.
to some people, he may act childish, a lazy god, but he's caring and kind deep down. he's passionate about his people and cares for them a lot. he's become attached to mondstadt and that's why he wants to protect it. not just because of nameless bard, but to honor and acknowledge those people who sacrificed themselves for the sake of their nation.
what makes it so sad is that when we see he's so attached to his past and can't seem to let go, he remembers what he did and what he had to do. he won power, a voice, a body, the ability to play his instruments so well. but he lost all of his loved ones, his family, and he lost his own freedom.

I can't English but please lemme gush about Venti a little.
Just by reading the lore in the Anniversary Concert Glider, you already see how unpredictable yet consistent he is.
The lore open with because he must sing to the sky, stone, sea, and stars because " For he knew that someone must heal the hurts of the world, and thus someone needed to find a way to communicate with them."
Yes already the first line show how he has seen a lot, and how kind he is. Really hopeful, isn't it?
But the next paragraph was about none reply him. But Venti's reaction, neither disappointment, belike those character who think everything and everyone was good and sunshine to the point of naivety:
"But the poet knew this would happen. What could this sky full of stars say, anyway?"
To me, it sound ironic, cynical, and it show how deep inside, Venti didn't that optimistic like he act and how he wish people be.
But you know, it was the next line that really, really hit me.
"Still, the poet did not give up, though not because he believed or anything. This was just the way he was."
The sentences is full contradiction itself already but man, how Venti still push on, despite not even believe the outcome was worth it. He know wisely yet still choose to act foolishly. Because it's just who he is.
The rest was finally the sky, the sea, the stone finally replied him. Not much to say. But the way the narrator aka Venti himself, bring it up how he act childish right after showing how deep his character to Traveler. Is he changing the subject to misdirect Traveler - the listener? Who knows.
Also, the last line was also a riddle, really Venti? He is really mysterious, isn't it.

@@TheNoobler I have my fair reasons to not like them and I don’t compare them to Venti in anyways because having the same characters would be boring as hell. So heres my reasons why I don’t like neither of the two archons after Venti.
Zhongli, I like his voices a lot (sounds good in any language could talk 24/7 and wouldn’t mind) and his appearance, his game play is okay, but I really don’t like his personality or how it has been portrayed because retired god and always forgetting his wallet despise being the God of Mora are interesting concepts, its the delivery that I find really dumb and ruined theses interesting concepts. His archon quests were really fun since I didn’t feel like like focused on him only (even if he was kinda involved) but more on Liyue’s lore which I found engaging and interesting.
Raiden Shogun appears just like Yae says, she’s a moody child in the body of an ancient god and I don’t like immature people (I’ve met my fair share of adults-children in my life) althought shes is beautiful (unlike a lot when she was revealed I never thought she looked like an npc or she had a lazy design) as well and have a very menacing voice when she wants to. Also the story of Inazuma was pretty bad and I find her gameplay rather pointless (change spear into sword is not as radicale as bow into sword/polearm) and boring in general, but unlike many thinks i know that she is hella strong and a very good unit. Her personal quest? I really didn’t enjoy it at all either.
TLDR; I would like them if they had a better personality (Raiden Shogun/Ei) or a better delivery of it (Zhongli).

As a venti simp I will bet my money to say that endgame of genshin gonna have to do with mond n especially venti, we start there & the peak of story gonna be there too
I don't get why people hate venti for having bad habit or decision that seems poor to the overall plot?? that's what make his character & also zhongli so far in my book so 3 dimensional, they are not become the archon because of virtue, the best manager of the land, no, they become archon because they win a divine brawl, they have flaws & irony in their ideals, just like any living being in teyvat.
As shady as he is tho, one thing for sure: venti's love for human feels real, as he depicted as a helpful wisp, he help gunhildr clan from the blizzard before he help the bard, even when he's not active ruling he is happy seeing how mondstadt had become so far, he is proof that human can live a prosperous life even without their local deity interfering & also he probably taste his own ideal back fired, he wont rebel against celestia after he witness that the price of freedom can be too heavy to bear, though I believe that in the end he's gonna have things done to his past n help us in the final journey

This explains well why Venti is my most beloved character. He always seems like he has more going on behind the scenes, and that he knows more than he lets on. It seems like they're heavily setting him up to be extremely important later on in the story, as he is the only Archon (besides the Cryo archon) we know of that doesn't like Celestia. And Celestia also seems to share that sentiment, since especially the manga shows they're keeping a close eye on hin in return, and maybe even making him sleep for long periods of time with his Gnosis due to his rebellious nature. He's the only character that really does 'mysterious' right for me, especially against characters that act more openly mysterious like Yae Miko or Albedo. Even the latest event at the time of writing, the Golden Apple Archipelago's rerun, shows again that Venti seems aware of more than he's telling you, since it's implied he already knows it was the Dendro Archon talking to you.

Since you're doing this series of characters writings, I would like to suggest an idea in which talking about how "Signora is a misoppurtunity and a waste of potential for the story"
I felt like ever since the first time I've read about her crimson witch backstory, I always thought that this will be a good set up for her and venti character arc. I felt like by the end of both characters arc, what started of like a grudge towards each other, ended up in understanding. Signora might still had a resentment towards venti since she doesn't want redemption, but at least she'll comes to an understanding towards venti's reasoning. Venti on the other hand, I felt like as a god he doesn't hate signora even after that church incident because he's a god of freedom and often times doesn't care much to hold grudge, and at the end of the day he'll understand why signora is distasteful towards him or maybe admits he's misjudgement.
I personally thinks that the death of signora will be more impactful if it's by the hands of venti. I imagine it'll be somewhat like the Stanley quest, where in the end signora realizes that what she's been doing is not gonna be in the good eyes of Rostam and it is not getting her anywhere. She still does not admit her wrongdoings, because she swore to kill all evil, and I feels this is okay but he accepts her fate. Venti frees her from her demise would mean so much for him and signora. For signora, the god that she use to hate, ironically ended up being the one that she goes back to and frees her, this put a sentiment in which she never truly despised venti back then, but in fact she's just expecting too much and disappointed in him. Venti, on the other hand, as the god of Monstatd realizes that yes freedom is his ideals that he brought upon the city, but in achieving freedom he still needs to protect it in order to keep it sustained. Venti brings freedom to Signora, Freedom from her grudge and revengeful intentions. It is not a redemotion for signora, no, its a closure, a closure that gives depth to her as a vilain.
This gave not only a development to individual characters but to the whole perspective of a god and it's people to an individual context. I felt like the reason Rosalyne is so loyal to Signora being one of her favs, is due to her perception of "God" change when she met her. Since she's disappointed in venti, when he ingores his people when they're in a dire need leading to Rostam's death, The Tsaritsa gave her a new a 2nd chance to live when her heart is about to burst by her flame. In her eyes, She already lost hope in "gods" after thinking that venti "the freedom" is irresponsible, but after meeting Tsaritsa, She thinks the Tsaritsa "the love" is her saviour. Thus changing her views on these beings making her more connected to Tsaritsa. We know Ei doesn't care about his people much but she only wanted to sustain the eternity of Inazuma as a whole. Zhongli is bound to his contract where he'll protect the people of Liyue as a whole. This two act as "Gods" protecting sovereignity of their respective worshipers. Venti on the other hand gives freedom to the people, but because he is seen as more humane, the connection between him and his people is more deeper might even be into individual extent. What started in monstadt ends in monstadt. Signora introduction started with venti, unironically she can't run from it, It should ends with venti imho.
Sorry that's a bit too long But welp, she's ded... just my wishful thinking I guess

Ok so seeing this video, I'm convinced you'll love some aspects of Honkai impact. In short, theres a whole bunch of characters written just like Venti, ie backstory that doesn't justify their actions but gives us perspective as to why they turned out this way. I'm not gonna spoil anything, so have some vague notions, chapter 17 has a character change drastically in their course, but remain consistent to their characterizations, and I think that character will remain consistent for Eternity. Also chapter 25 has one of the best twist I've ever seen, that recontextualizes so many moments that character had, as well as the fact there were small hints sprinkled throughout the story leading up the twist that I hadn't realized were there, but looking at it now, makes me in awe at how much went under my nose.

Shogun Raiden is a puppet so love might not be in her dictionary. Ei on the other hand do love Inazuma but like a strict Asian mom who forces their child to become something they don't want, she is too focus on the future and fail to see the true Inazuma.

Hmm. I'm of the opinion that Venti doesn't like Celestia and ignores his duties as an archon because he is the god of freedom. The more he does his duties as an archon, the more powerful and more connected to Celestia he becomes. More power and connection lead to less freedom (the price that Zhongli talks about) and so he ignores his duties.

To me that part of mystery that Venti carry make me scare sometimes. He, unlike Ei and Zhongli who more or less straightforward, he can be manipulative. He did it once, make a fake contract for the aristocrat's soilder turn on them.
I keep wondering. Why Venti seems to know more but never said to Traveler. Kazuha's said the wind can hear whisper of everything, if it's true, then Venti, the God of Winds might long figured out whereabout of the Abyss Twin long before, but he never said anything. And how he emphazise to the Traveler that they must remember their journey. It is as if he was manupilating the Traveler to go journey all over Teyvat, perhaps, to make them fall in love with Teyvat and turn his back on it like their twin once the truth be revealed?

Venti also has a really good story quest in my opinion, it give us a great deal of insight into his personality and his past. The reason why Raiden story and archon quest was such a failure is because the themes and lore are so much more complex than the ones before it, there are multiple plot points going on and multiple characters to take note of.
Btw the filter on the vid is kinda annoying/distracting

Another thing I'd love to add about Venti's character is that his birthday allows him to fall into the category of being a Gemini. Gemini's, as well as Water Signs and Libra's, are known to be "reflective" signs, where the energy a person gives is the energy that person returns. This behaviour is seen in the Windblume festival. Where Kaeya gives Venti playful banter, he also returns it in an equal amount. When met with sincerity by Timaeus and Bennett, he also meets them with sincerity but keeps his playful persona. When chatting alone with the Aether/Lumine, he can be seen to be more somber since he knows that he doesn't have to put up the persona of the playful 'Venti' or the regal 'Barbatos', but instead a more quiet and peaceful person as himself and who he's grown to be.
I just love Venti so much and I feel he'll be so much more important than what people make him out to be by the time the Khaenri'ah chapter rolls around.
