La Signora was probably more violent towards Venti because of her own personal hatred towards him. Signora was previously a citizen of Mondstadt, and when her husband died during a battle she blamed Barbatos for it. I know the lore in the crimson witch artefacts are about La Signora.
btw, The tsaritsa doesn't actually have the electro gnosis. In the roguelike dungeon event we found out that Childe was searching for Scaramouch because he never delivered the gnosis to the tsaritsa
@@thetopnep6165 apparently childe and the other fatui hadn't seen scaramouche since he got the gnosis and that's why childe came to inazuma during the labyrinth warriors event. they think scara went rogue
The correction is actually based, he did flee with the Gnosis and Tsaritsa sent Childe after him. Those are facts But it might just be part of her plan, Scara's role is to keep the Gnosis since thise things are directed IP address to Celestia and imagine 4 Gnosisis in one place?! Celestia might be like "what's going on with them?" And who wants that since the Cryo archon literally wants to overthrown the government? =))) Rather create a diversion, right?
Fun fact: all archon’s have magic hair. When they use their abilities it glows. If you look at the cutscene when signora takes venti’s gnosis, his hair never glows. Meaning he wanted his gnosis taken. He wasn’t actually being as resistant as it looks, it was an act. He’s secretly rooting for the tsaritsa, like zhongli.
one glaring issue i spotted halfway through: scaramouche has the electro gnosis and has gone rogue, meanibg it's NOT in the fatui's clutches. childe was sent to inazuma during that xinyan event solely to find scaramouche. so ... tsaritsa doesn't have the electro gnosis.
Correction: The Tsaritsa only has 3 out of 7 Gnosi. One of her Harbingers pocketed it and left all others in the dark (which led fo the Signora confrontation)
Hey Matpat. You missed one major chunk of lore that changes how the events of the game we're going to play out. The tsaritsa never got the Electro gnosis because the balladeer who hates Humanity has stolen it and is missing. Also to add to your theory of Celestia being evil in the manga Celestia is shown to be designed like a prison and when asked about it by Vanessa the ancient hero venti becomes flustered and uncomfortable unwilling to answer
*SPOILERS if you haven't finished all of Dain's quests as of 29.06.2022* Khaenri'ah is supposedly the actual last nation we're supposed to visit and it it ABSOLUTELY extremely important to the main story. The Tsarisa might want to rebel against the gods, but Khaenri'ah was a land of vanilla HUMANS that actively rejected the rule of gods and the heavenly principles and it's why it was destroyed, because they kept taking and taking and taking from the gods' domain, presumably inventing technology without permission (Khaenri'ah's war machines), doing immoral alchemy (Rhinedottir's alchemy beasts i.e. "playing god") and harnessing cosmic powers (Dainsleif's "power from beyond") without playing by Heavenly Principle's rules. It's the "Adam and Eve" of Genshin's nations. Literally all of Khaenri'ah's surviving inhabitants were cursed with eternal life and all except Dain, with accelerated soul erosion (overall eternal torment) as a form of punishment (hilihcurls and abyss enemy origins). The "poetic" language sometimes used throughout the game makes the events and philosophies of all parties involved a little cloudy, but if you ever want to make a theory about Khaenri'ah, I suggest starting with Dainsleif. Most of Kaenri'ah's known lore comes from this gorgeous narrator meta-man.
True. I'm pretty sure if Tsaritsa had approached Ei as she had done with Zhongli, she would've given her gnosis without the cost of a few Inazuman soldiers and La Signora.
@@lexinvictus4801 if I had to make an assumption. Notice the Unknown God's and Raiden Shogun's personality. Raiden is a mirroring the Unknown God with how their ideals of control are quite similar.
As a loyal Genshin theorist, there are a few things I feel need to be addressed. 1: If you wanna talk about lore, read the manga. In the manga Venti clearly shows some kind of PTSD towards Celestia, no need to theorize. And if Tsaritsa wants to overthrow them she's not exactly the bad guy. 2: Tsaritsa, the way Venti was the god of freedom, used to be a god of love. Venti mentions her change of heart happening 500 years ago, back when the disaster in Khaenri'ah happened. Her relations with Tsaritsa changed a lot since then. Remember that Khaenri'ah wad a godless land. 3: The reason why Signora treats Venti so roughly is far more personal than just "you a lazy god". Signora actually hails from Mondstadt and thus used to be one of his subjects, but left after her beloved Rostam died. She's angry he doesn't even recognize her. 4: Venti was actively trying to stop the Stomterror conflict initially by talking with Dvalin, then giving powers to the Traveler, then trying to soothe the dragon with a holy lyre and eventually helping to take down the dragon himself. Not like he wasn't trying to do anything, as fun-loving as he is
In reference to the last sentence of point 3.: perhaps Venti did recognise Signora, which would explain the bit of taunting as well as a lack of resistance from Venti in their scene in the game together as Venti may have wanted to give Signora a satisfying moment of revenge against him.
It's a 15 lore video meant for everyone, I wouldn't expect much of the manga material to be mentioned. The dynamic between Signora and Venti is interesting, but is an aside to the theory's main point. The same goes for Venti helping Stormterror. Specifically, Venti wasn't trying to quell Dvalin to save Mondstadt, he wanted to help his friend. But that doesn't pertain to the overarching story, especially when the game itself counts the majority of that as a prologue.
If MatPat ever gets serious about exploring Genshin lore, oh boy will he have a field day with all the clues and somewhat subtle hints that are in the game
I wonder if this theory will still work because of Nahida and Scaramouche’s intervention with the gnosis. I wonder if Nahida will give up both the dendro gnosis and the electro gnosis to the fatui because of the leading theory that Celestia is bad and the gods are trying to sever their ties with it. Gods I can’t wait to see how this game goes on!
@@yami_yugi_nightmare634 She traded the Electro Gnosis for The Doctor's other segments and she traded the Dendro Gnosis for the knowledge that "The sky is fake"
The Tsaritsa doesn’t have the electro gnosis. Scaramouche does, he dipped after getting it. 3 days later, after we steal documents from the Tenryo commission for Yae to convince Sara, we fight Signora. In an event we learn that Scara disappeared after getting the gnosis for reasons not yet explained. She’ll get it eventually, but she doesn’t have it yet.
the fact that scaramouche has plans on his own since he is a prototype to become the puppet before raiden shogun is created means we might have a boss fight with him
@@Natha_Kun were gonna have a boss boss fight for every harbinger since we get one every region but we might get two in sumeru because there are 11 harbingers and seven regions that and scaramouche is doing his own thing so we might see a clash between harbingers
I don't like this story , change it. Make it such that tsarista is THE big bad and that the end should be us teaming with athe divine principles thingie and defeating the big bad. If this happens , I believe my entire day typing these comments will not be wasted.
Idk if it was in the story quest or if it was a line in one of the "About" character quotes but I heard that Venti hated Celestia bc it was more like a prison and he was enslaved there for a while until he got cased down onto Tyvat.
Correction: the tsaritsa doesn't have control of the electro gnosis, it is revealed in the limited event "labyrinth warriors" that the harbinger, Scaramouche ran off with it. Scaramouche was also to be the original vessel for the electro archon.
well scaramouche was more of a test to see if she can make a dummy rather than be the true vessel, but she felt bad about just killing it so she discarded it into inazuma to roam. So yea i guess you could say that.
One thing I wanna add to Venti's part is that his Gnosis wasn't really taken forcefully, it's more like he let Signora take it. Even if he's the weakest among the 7 archons, he's still a god.
Yeah I'm sure he knew that Signora was originally from Mondstadt and didn't want to hurt her even if he very much could (especially since they were right in the middle of the city + he probably already knew his gnosis would be taken and didn't seem to value it much anyway). I don't like how Venti keeps getting portrayed as this weak wimpy guy.. like yes, he is weak, but only when compared to the six other archons. Dude is *still* an archon. We know that Havria, who was one of the weakest gods to exist, turned everyone around her to salt when she was killed due to the uncontrollable release of her powers. It's very much clear that, compared to humans, gods, no matter how weak, are still more powerful and this is even more true for archons. So it's laughable to say Venti couldn't have stopped Signora if he wanted to. I mean, come on, this dude literally terraformed Mond at one point, he might not be as strong as he once was but he's still an archon lmao
venti isn’t bad at his job, his job just isn’t what you think it is: it might seem like he’s bad at being a god until you realise that he’s not just the god of anemo, he’s the god of freedom as well, so he’s not ruling monstadt because it’s his JOB not to rule monstadt. also, he does do his job in the sense that he’s protecting monstadt, as he freed it from decarabian, gave dvalin the strength to defeat durin and when dvalin was cursed and tricked by the abyss order he was immediately on the case and eventually freed him as well. also, signora didn’t take the other archons’ gnosis by force because a) the other nations were more reliant on their gods than monstadt so they needed a window of opportunity and b) if signora tried to 1v1 morax or ei she would get clapped (which is exactly what happens with the raiden shogun), barbados is just weaker than they are
He also sneezed away a whole mountain to make the land of mondstadt warm and prosperous (the leftover of the mountain is musk reef where you can enter the spiral abyss). This was explored in the temporary 1.1 event content, it's pretty cool!
There's also the history of Signora, her husband/fiance. and Venti's negligence in the past... A hundreds years old grudge that likely also influenced her actions against Venti
@@baolinhnguyen7111 yeah Venti didn’t fight back because he cares about Mondstadt. The abyss messed with Dvalin to bring Venti out into the open, so that they could easily attack him and get the gnosis.
exactly! also, venti could've fought back but the location and situation weren't to his benefit. And im pretty sure venti would've given up his gnosis willingly.
while i do agree that the tsaritsa is most definitely looking to overthrow celestia, and that she herself may not end up being our main enemy, i do think the discussion around her shouldn't leave out the fact that the fatui have canonically exploited children for labor and soldiers, and have experimented on children. yes, her end goal might end up aligning with ours, but i don't think we should say she Isn't a villain.
Yea..looks like the game gave us 3 enemies. Celestia, fatui, and abyss..oddly enough, childe embodies all 3. Vision from celestia(not sure if it from there), delusion from tsarista, and devouring deep from his training in the abyss
Fun fact: at 12:11, the Ei (The raiden shogun) actually had to give the gnosis to Yae because she was in a realm of her own mind which she couldn’t take her gnosis to, so Ei was just having Yae safe guard it as a friend in the meanwhile
In the in-game book "Before Sun and Moon", they mention how the Gods of Celestia aren't originally from Teyvat and that they were invasive beings that took control of the world and destroyed any evidence saying otherwise. In the first Enkanomiya update (2.4), we find this book while exploring the region. It could heavily tie in to what the Tsarista's motive is for rebelling against them Of course, that's just a Theory... A GAME THEORY
@@Lumiexia You need to find it while exploring Enkanomiya, in fact you have to get it to be able to complete a side quest for the librarian ghost in Enkanomiya

I'm kind of impressed at how little Matpat has done for Genshin considering just how much theory fodder there is. There are DOZENS of topics he could use in videos. I guess it's just not his thing.
i mean. tbf he only did the theory bc he was sponsored to do so, he might do more genshin theorys tho bc he just did finish all his theorys for the new fnaf game
I mean, can you blame him? One, sponsored theories aren't going to be for the hardcore fanbase alone. Genshin's sponsoring him moreso for wider reach. Plus, Matpat doesn't actually play the game deeply right? You can only make so many theories especially long ones based on in game evidence
Please note and correct me if I'm wrong, but venti and zhongli are by far the oldest 2 archons and are also the only 2 that are from the original set of 7 since the before the archon war. The cryo archon, as mentioned by others, had a clear change of heart and wants Celestia out of the picture so humanity can live without the influence of God's, I'm sure.
The lore ingame also implied that the "Primordial God" lost to the "Second who came" that hijacked the heavenly principle while pretending to be the original Primordial God.
"Tsaritsa and the Fatui are in control of 4 of the 7 Gnosis" Actually, Scaramouche, the Fatui Harbinger Yae Miko handed the Electro Gnosis to has gone AWOL. This was told during the 2.2 patch "Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog", where Childe tells us he's looking for him.
I saw a hilarious theory that the fatui is actually collecting all the gnosis’s because childe keeps eating all their chess pieces. I know it makes no sense but I still love it.
Correction: Venti ISN'T one of those "ignorant gods" - he KNOWS that there's darkness at play in terms of Celestia - as seen in the official Genshin manga - and he didn't seem to care much after his gnosis was taken. Plus, SPOILERS FOR SIGNORA'S BACKSTORY - the reason Signora took his gnosis so violently was because, during the attack on Khaenri'ah, Signora's lover Rostam was slain. She hates Venti's guts cuz Rostam's death was the result of a cataclysm that was supposedly orchestrated by the gods (which I heavily believe the Archons had no say in, not that Signora knew) so her archon - cuz she was a former Mondstadter - failed her and her lost love. Just wanted to throw that out there.
This was the first thing I thought of too. The team probably just missed it during their research, since genshin does have a LOT of lore to cover. I definitely thought that Signora took the gnosis in that way because of personal reasons.
There's also an official graphic novel for genshin where Venti pretty clearly expresses his distaste for Celestia. Also the apples there apparently taste terrible.
Gnosis aren’t actually that important to the Archcon. It needs to be remembered that the Archons are Archons because each of them defeated/killed many of their own kind to assume that position. It’s only after that they get the Gnosis. Also it has been implied that Venti went REALLY easy on Seniora and he just wanted to get rid of his Gnosis.
Don't forget that Venti didn't JUST go easy on Signora, he also CHOSE to Make himself Vulnerable to save the Traveler from her. The wind is Impossible to defeat if you can't Catch it, and he was uncatchable until she Threatened someone he cared about, forcing him to Stop being evasive... And Yeah, he clearly didn't care much for the Gnosis in the first place, Kinda doesn't Mesh well with his Carefree vibes he actively tries to Put out about himself.
Some Corrections -The Gnosis isn't technically the source of archons powers, As Venti says, it connects them to Celestia. Raiden confirms this by being able to use electro without being in possession of her gnosis -Tsaritsa doesn't have the Electro Gnosis. It's mentioned that after Scaramouche got it, he disappeared and never handed it over. -Celestia isn't the heavens. It mentioned that Celestia wasn't a part of Teyvat, in a "Noah's ark flood" they killed all the vishaps that inhabited teyvat originally. It is theorized that Teyvvat is based on Norse Mythology, where the sustainer is "Heimdall" and where the travelers were at the beginning was the rainbow bridge -Venti didn't go to "hang out under a tree" he went to heal after signora injured him -Venti actually trusts Tsaritsa since they have a long history together
@@Seven-yh6st I believe the gnosis is what gives them the ability to give Visions. As well as coming with some other abilities. I would say the gnosis amplifies their power as guyun stone Forrest (made from spears zhongli threw during the Archon war) and he was able to do that without a gnosis.
When you look into the Lore of Khaenri'ah, you quickly find contradictions, things that dont fit just right. Then what comes to mind is "History is written by the victor" and the victor was Celestia. The most common Theory is that Khaenri'ah, may have advanced technologically to far from Celestias norm (Like Sal Vindagnyr/Dragonspine) and were attacked for that. They defended themselves and lost. Now 500 years past, Khaenri'ah is portrayed as the "Bad Guys" for doing something they shouldn't have and it doesnt help that Gold (Alchemist from Khaenri'ah) summoned or created shadow creatures to battle that ultemately ravaged Teyvat after the War. The War itself and the turmoil following were dubbed "the Cataclysm" afterwards and left a bitter taste in the citizens of Teyvat (did also not help that at least 2 Archons died during the War, the Dendro God of the Woods and Baal/Makoto former Electro Archon and Sister to Ei/Beelzebub the current Electro Archon)
Why does so few peopem talk about Gold the Alchemist hes probably did some abyss magic and caused something at Khanreah and celestia had no choice but to obliterate the nation
@@ceci--lia Oh interesting, havent played since before this Update... So the Black Blood was in a Meteorite and was from off-World? As far as i recall, the Black Blood was used by Gold to create creatures, like the Rifthounds and Durin, but there were no hints that humanity itself was of alien origin (well befoer Enkanomiya that is)
my personal favorite theory/hc is that the archons weren’t given a choice in the destruction of khaenri’ah. Like, that they were manipulated or controlled to do it, or that their gnosis brainwashes them into following orders (hence the willingness to part with it later). It would also explain why Zhongli can’t talk about it. The idea that he formed a contract to keep quiet in exchange for something (power, safety for Liyue, more control of his personal choice) and that, because of his nature as the god of contracts, he can’t break it. (fun bonus concept: it isnt just that it would go against his principles, i love the idea that he physically can’t. Like, it would hurt him to do so or he literally can’t say the words.)
The story goes much deeper with the 2.5 update. There are actually 3 realms, The human realm, the light/vishap realm and the void/abyss realm. originally there was no human realm or gods. The land was inhabited by 7 dragon lords and vishaps. But an ENTITY(probably from another world) came and defeated the dragon lords and put a layer above called the human realm which we are currently in. It is said that the sky is actually a false sky and that the archons that were given authority by celestia and can be controlled using the gnosi(lmao). Also to mention when humans of khanreia got too close to a certain truth they were wiped out by celestia and this is precisely why our twin in the game is fighting against celestia using the abyss order. Honestly it is already told taht the abyss order wants to take celestia down but then why would they make 2 separate organisations for the same goal. It doesnt make sense to me. something is not clicking. There is definetely something missing. Hope you make a theory on that
just wanted to add onto this. we do actually know(kinda) who the entity is, and they're called the "primordial one". the story of them creating humanity has strong parallels with Noah's arc. i recommend you read the ingame book "Before sun and moon", a part of the Enkanomiya collection. it's one of the biggest world building drops we have so far :D
Thanks for typing this long explaination , as someone who doesn't give attention to non voiced quests that much I had no clue about all the different realms at all lol.
Actually, you probably don't know this since it was in an event in 2.2 but the electro gnosis didn't end up in the hands of the tsaritsa, the 6th harbinger who got his hands on it, defected from them. Tartaglia was sent to look after him to retake the gnosis but to no avail.

The thing is, MatPat, is that The Tsaritsa still doesn’t have the electro gnosis. Kunikuzuchi (Scaramouche), a prototype puppet vessel of Raiden Ei has it since Yae Miko gave it to him in order to save the Traveler. There was an event explaining that Childe/Tartaglia is finding him for that reason, to take it back. So they (the Fatui) still have 3/7 gnosis, since Scaramouche took it upon himself to take the gnosis of his creator/mother and betray the Fatui. Celestia and the Tsaritsa may not be the big bad, but the balladeer himself. He’s chaos incarnate, a stronger puppet than the Raiden Shogun, holding a gnosis, and having a plan of his own that no one knows about. He’s not affiliated with anyone, he’s just playing everyone by his hands. Also you can read some artifacts and some in-game items for some additional lore of some characters, especially Scaramouche. @@jessicam9491 that statement is a speculation of mine lmao. I already played Enkanomiya and yes I know how shitty Celestia is in-game. clarification: Venti did not "abandon" Mondstat. He simply decided that as the archon of freedom it would be unfit for him to rule Mondstat. He did NOT abandon is responsibilities as an archon! When he is needed as an Archon he rises to the occasion- being woken up from his slumbers (THAT HE MIGHT NOT EVEN HAVE CONTROL OVER.) He did this during the cataclysm (fighting Durin) - when the aristocracy got too bad- and most recently during the stormterror incident. Venti is not an archon that abandoned his duties! It would be unfair as to categorize him as such.
At this point, I think Matpat's job, atleast in regards to Genshin Impact, is only to bring to light some of the most popular theories that are already in the fandom
He did the same thing with BOTW. Hopefully he puts in more FNAF quality theorist chutzpah in future Genshin videos. Actually Honkai is right up his alley too that game's lore is thick.
Fact: The tsaritsa hasn't actually gotten ei's gnosis yet, instead it was stolen by Scaramouche, one of the fatui harbingers. Childe is currently on the search for The Baladeer to retrieve the stolen gnosis back to the tsaritsa.
on the other hand, (red-headed step-) Childe is constantly left out of the loop for what the actual plan is, so it's possible that similar to Liyue, he's just a diversion to make everyone think Scar went rogue and genuinely believes the orders he was given.
MatPat (at 1:47): Look guys, I know how to say words in Genshin Impact! Also MatPat (at 10:40): I definitely don’t know how to say words in Genshin Impact.
Theory: Venti could teleport, we saw him doing so. He could have easily escaped when they took his gnosis. He didn’t even attempt to stop signora. You could argue that he was frozen, but it was only his legs and he could’ve easily escaped. So he probably was fine with/maybe even wanted his gnosis being taken.
My personal theory is that Venti didn’t want his gnosis, but wanted to communicate with Vanessa, the Human who ascended. I think that he wanted that freedom, but didn’t want to let it go. I also think that Venti would have let it get taken, realizing the tsaritsa’s plan.
Plus he's a bard and Venti is also know to a little bit dramatic, I wont be surprise that Signora actually tickled him when she took out Venti's Gnosis.
Correction: Yae also didn't just gave the Gnosis just because. She gave it to Scaramouche because we might die because of the tataragami that we are exposed to when we were about to fight Scaramouche.
That was an amazing video! Also, in the manga, everytime venti is asked abt celestia he doesn't really seem to like them, and i think Ei had said in one of her speeches that she was afraid of what she witnessed 500 hundreds tears ago at the cataclysm of khaenri'ah. One more thing is the fact that venti told the traveler abt the tsaritsa and that he knew her well, until the destruction of khaenri'ah, henceforth she cut ties with him...
I remember a voice line from Venti saying that “I don’t think I could even fly that high” and then he proceeded to say stuff like he wouldn’t even want to go to Celestia even if he was invited. Also I have another theory that Childe will get a hero arc and break away from the fatui since he’s stated before he wish he could quit work and adventure with us. Plus he’s the only playable Fatui member while the other two we’ve met either ran away from the fatui or died.
Childe will 100% die by the end of the story. The man is one giant walking death flag. That isn't to say he won't get some amount of redemption though.
I doubt that Childe would get a hero arc. Why? Simple. Because his family is at Snezhnaya. If he ever decides to betray the Fatui, the Tsaritsa can simply take his family hostage. He isn't like Scaramouche, who has nothing to lose.
Love the theory. One thing I want to point out is that Signora had a personal vendetta against Venti which would explain why she took his gnosis violently. She was originally from Monstadt and he was being an "absentee archon" during the cataclysm which resulted in her lover's death. So she became an immortal witch and eventually swore loyalty to the Tsaritsa.
@CK Lim only thing is in her lore they’re kinda specific on who her lover was in Monstadt. But I do theorize that the Tsaritsa is a spitting image of Signora. When Signora became the crimson witch of flames she lost her human form. But she clearly had one in the story. And Venti says how she “stole the smile of her master’s face”. I think Signora has the Tsaritsa’s face
"Tsaritsa immediately starts giving off some serious Thanos vibes" Me just waiting for Snezhnaya release so I can walk to Tsaritsa as Diluc: "As you can see. I am not dead"
I usually love Game Theory's deep dives into super interesting lore and theories (and the silly theories too), but this one felt a bit disappointing, especially since the game has given us so, so much to uncover. The entire Inazuma quest line finally confirmed a ton of stuff about La Signora and gave us even more questions about Scaramouche. The Tsaritsa not being the final villain is still a theory (though if she approves of the experimentation Il Dottore does... hmm), but it's generally accepted by the community already, so this video just feels... lazy?
The fact that this theory is already pretty well known and most things matpat theorized was already confirmed in the game just shows how much he probably didnt wanna do it and was forced since it was sponsored
Ngl I wanna see Matt do a theory on Kaeya so bad, like, we have a person which came from a nation destroyed by the archons, called "the last hope", and has some facts pointing that he might be royalty from that nation??
khaenri'ah existed n was destroyed far before kaeya was born; if he is truly a prince of the eclipse dynasty, he's far older than he seems. it's more likely he's a descendant of ancient khaenri'ah + nothing he says alludes to him having witnessed the cataclysm
Hey mat, just wanted to inform you on a few things! 1- The reason why Signora and The Tsaritsa opted to act violently on taking Venti's gnosis is because he has been away for so long that he has became the weakest of all the archons, as he says it himself. And it's about Signora's personal past! I recommend everyone who reads this comment to take a look at her past and it would explain some stuff about Venti being the only archon to have his archon violently taken away from him 2- The day that Khaenri'ah got destroyed, all of the archons were persuaded into destroying it alongside Celestia! You can actually learn this from the story quests of archons in the game as they mention it. It's presumed that Venti was persuaded by saying Durin had been coming from Khaenri'ah to destroy Mondstadt which lead in Dvalin getting corrupted. Zhongli was contracted to destroy it and never speak of it (which we learn in his story quest) and Raiden Shogun's sister (the original, old archon of Inazuma) had died there amidst battle. I dont think he's up to date, maybe he plays the game but definitely not up to date based on a single inconclusive clue: The fact that he doesn't know how to spell Khaenri'ah suggests that he might've not been through the Dainsleif quests - either that or it was just to introduce the joke 'I would go back and look up for the pronunciation of kAyNri'aH but uhm that entire nation was destroyed sooo what're they gonna do about it?' Maybe he started playing after the theory regarding Zhongli but after a year or so you'd think one would be pretty close, if not already, up to date. Maybe getting up to date isn't so easy and I'm just an ignorant day one player. Maybe all of the above is just me unhealthily obsessed with the game. Who knows? Hard to tell!
Just a little correction 5:55 The tsaritsa doesn't have the electro gnosis Scaramouche took it and ran off as proven by the labyrinth event with childe confirming it
@@XerxesBreakSama no he doesn't, he has the exact same rank as Signora and Tartaglia, he isn't above them. The Harbingers aren't ranked in strength by number

@@XerxesBreakSama No, there is no implication, Signora is not stronger than Childe, if anything she is actually weaker since she depends on her Cryo Delusion to live. Just remember that she has a lot of ego and was pummeled into the ground after greatly underestimating Traveler, meanwhile Traveler struggled to beat Childe. Pantalone is Harbinger number 9, has no vision and his only power is being richer than all of the others, do you really mean to tell me he could duel and beat Childe? Scaramouche is the prototype of Raiden Shogun, so he is obviously supposed to be stronger than Tartaglia and the others. Put this on your head, CORRELATION DOESN'T IMPLY CAUSATION. That is a proven fallacy.
The Tsaritsa doesn't have Ei's gnosis YET and Childe is out to get it. Scaramouche or Kunikuzushi actually has it- he didn't tell signora that Yae Miko had already given him the gnosis which leads to her death lmao ☠ The reason why Scara wanted it for himself so he could feel complete or something like that. He was originally the puppet created by Ei but he was too fragile or weak to serve as a vessel for the gnosis because Ei doesn't need it cause she's meditating in her plane of euthymia however, she managed to create another puppet that doesnt require a gnosis to function aka the Raiden Shogun In the 2.2 event called "Labyrinth warriors" is where it was revealed that Childe was looking for Scara because he took the gnosis all for himself There were also some speculation on twitter that Childe *might* lose to Scara

@@xx.Mckayla I totally agree, I was also about to comment it but started looking for other who had already said this. But in my opinion, this theory brings nothing new to the table.
Bro actually scara rans off with the electro gnosis planning to use it for himself but later in sumeru the tsaritsa gets both electro and dendro gnosis. Still it is wrong to assume that tsaritsa has the electro gnosis before sumeru was released.
The reason why Signora was so violent in her snatching of the genesis is also partly due to a personal feud with Venti. Look into the Crimson witch artifacts, you'll see her story. She blames Venti's incompetence for her late lover's death. And hates/holds a grudge against him. I was also hoping that you'd tap into the CN text more because there was a lot of translation liberties that was taken for artistic reasons and are not actually accurate. Which is why as someone who hangs out in both fandom, I find that the CN lore department are often much more accurate in predicting the future chapters. I would strongly suggest you cross reference some of them, they are quite excellent. Tian li 天理 is actually a phrase that exists in chinese, used in longer phrases like :天理难容 (Tian li nan rong) (something along the lines of Order would not allow). It's... less destiny and more natural order, like physics, but imposed upon this world. Like karma, or things like balance. Basically, rules of the world. In Genshin, it is hinted that the rules of the world is opressive and similar to dictatorship. By arrogation in the original terms, they meant less taking something, and more that humans have advanced to a technological level they should not have, this is how how powerful humans should be, and therefore they shall be destroyed. Part of the reason Khanriah was destroyed was that Gold, the alchemist, figured out how to create life. And that is a power the principles determines that humans are not meant to have. And for the achievement of one man, the entire kingdom was destroyed. Of course there was also the matter that the things Gold created were monsters and they were out of control, but still. There's also a theory in CN that Visions, or in CN, Eye(s) of the God(s), are used to spy on those Celestia deem dangerous. It makes sense from the original text. These are the Eyes of the Gods, they're given by Celestia and not the Archons, given to those with the power to become gods and binds them to their wish so they become so vulnerable when their Visions were lost. Of course, this is just a working theory somewhere. Much like how in some literature Celestia would be used as a name for a personification or a god/goddess, 天理 can also be used as a name. In fact in the CN fandom it is often seen as and referred to as a name/ title. There is so much lore in Genshin, and it is even tied to their broader universe with Honkai Impact. Honestly none of these theories Ive mentioned here have considered Honkai yet. But hey, I don't play Honkai. If you want more in-depth analysis of the CN version, go to Bilibili.
I also think it's interesting how similar Paimon looks to the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, plus the Traveler's sibling is another part of the equation of defying Celestia.
Although Paimon does look similar to the sustainer, it’s extremely unlikely that they’re the same individual because the sustainer already has a name that being Asmoday which is from dataming.
Paimon looks like the opposite of Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. In my opinion Paimon is from Celestia and she can be a puppet of some kind to watch over the traveler (i don't think she knows that tho)
ironically enough paimon being the sustainer of heavenly principles is an ongoing meme, and probably is a twist everyone expected still gonna hurt when it happens tho
In an interest twist worth pointing out. One of the Fatui Harbingers, Scaramouche (Who received the Electro Gnosis), hasn't actually handed it over. The Rogue-like Event taking place with Childe/Tartaglia and Xinyan actually says he's MIA with it. No one knows where it is. Probably until Sumeru rolls around in 3.0
Matpat, I really want to love this theory, I really do. But it’s pretty clear you don’t actually care all that much about the game. There were so many things you guys missed that if even one of your staff were actually playing, you wouldn’t have. I don’t want to discourage you from making more theories about it, instead, please take a step back and actually try to look into the lore. I think you’ll find it’s a lot more interesting and more content than you previously thought. Stuff like the official manga, artifact set descriptions, events, etc. There’s so much here for you to study and theorize on. But please only do this if you’re actually going to put a lot of effort into this game. Genshin means a lot to many of us and I think I can safely say that on behalf of all of us, we’d rather have you not do theories on Genshin at all than just give us this half-baked, plot-holes galor, and clearly not fully researched theory. If you’re going to make a theory on Genshin again, make sure you actually care about the game first. I think that if you gave it a shot, you might like it a lot more than you think you will on the surface.
....but unfortunately he won't because he only did this for money and didn't put any effort into it whatsoever. Sad, because there's so much lore he could cover.
Venti also has a voice line about Celestia in his profile where he mentions his visit to Celestia, and describes the fruit there as bland, or something along those lines it's been a while
@@GhostEmblem tbf most of the voice actors get the pronunciations wrong too, I don’t think a single character says liyue correctly (they forget to make the “y” sound)

*SPOILERS if you haven't finished all of Dain's quests as of 29.06.2022*
Khaenri'ah is supposedly the actual last nation we're supposed to visit and it it ABSOLUTELY extremely important to the main story. Most of Kaenri'ah's known lore comes from this gorgeous narrator meta-man.
and he will need to play every quest in sumeru, alot of it has a big chunk of lore about what happened to Kaenria

@@justyes979 Or she could she reach Celestia by meditating since she was in the plane euthymia
Not like he wasn't trying to do anything, as fun-loving as he is
*The Game Theorists IS GARBAGE!*
*Here's the proof*
ua-cam.com/video/cAQxPSwM4h0/v-deo.html*
But that doesn't pertain to the overarching story, especially when the game itself counts the majority of that as a prologue.

well scaramouche was more of a test to see if she can make a dummy rather than be the true vessel, but she felt bad about just killing it so she discarded it into inazuma to roam. So yea i guess you could say that.
no, he was a test,
One thing I wanna add to Venti's part is that his Gnosis wasn't really taken forcefully, it's more like he let Signora take it. Even if he's the weakest among the 7 archons, he's still a god.
Yup exactly if he wanted to he could stop her
Yeah I'm sure he knew that Signora was originally from Mondstadt and didn't want to hurt her even if he very much could (especially since they were right in the middle of the city + he probably already knew his gnosis would be taken and didn't seem to value it much anyway).

Just wanted to throw that out there.
ua-cam.com/video/j3b4FJWFSAA/v-deo.html

Gnosis aren’t actually that important to the Archcon. It needs to be remembered that the Archons are Archons because each of them defeated/killed many of their own kind to assume that position. Technically venti didnt kill any god, decarabian got killed by a rebellion and the last strike was given by Amos. :P

Venti probably supports Tsaritsa's goal to overthrow Celestia
watching this after the fontaine update, and I truly cannot believe how spot on his analysis and theorizing about the Heavenly Principles was
Some Corrections
-The Gnosis isn't technically the source of archons powers, As Venti says, it connects them to Celestia. Raiden confirms this by being able to use electro without being in possession of her gnosis
-Tsaritsa doesn't have the Electro Gnosis.
It is theorized that Teyvvat is based on Norse Mythology, where the sustainer is "Heimdall" and where the travelers were at the beginning was the rainbow bridge
-Venti didn't go to "hang out under a tree" he went to heal after signora injured him
-Venti actually trusts Tsaritsa since they have a long history together
It is a source of certain powers they have like zhonglis ability to create mora tho so I'm sure it's important to the others in another way
@@Seven-yh6st I believe the gnosis is what gives them the ability to give Visions.

The archons were protecting their nations. Only the Celestia gods destroyed Khaenri’ah.

He isn't like Scaramouche, who has nothing to lose.
and venti showed hatred towards the celestia in the manga prologue

Hey mat, just wanted to inform you on a few things!
1- The reason why Signora and The Tsaritsa opted to act violently on taking Venti's gnosis is because he has been away for so long that he has became the weakest of all the archons, as he says it himself. And it's about Signora's personal past! I recommend everyone who reads this comment to take a look at her past and it would explain some stuff about Venti being the only archon to have his archon violently taken away from him
2- The day that Khaenri'ah got destroyed, all of the archons were persuaded into destroying it alongside Celestia!
AND GUESS WHAT, Tsaritsa was the only archon to refuse the order on attacking Khaenri'ah. A little side fact, she actually used to be the God of Love, until she had to harden her heart
I hope you read this! It should be useful on your future theories on Genshin Impact and for any other theorists out there interested in Genshin lore!

@@ziqdam1396 i mean even he is sponsored, he could be up to date
I dont think he's up to date, maybe he plays the game but definitely not up to date based on a single inconclusive clue:
The fact that he doesn't know how to spell Khaenri'ah suggests that he might've not been through the Dainsleif quests - either that or it was just to introduce the joke 'I would go back and look up for the pronunciation of kAyNri'aH but uhm that entire nation was destroyed sooo what're they gonna do about it?'
Maybe he started playing after the theory regarding Zhongli but after a year or so you'd think one would be pretty close, if not already, up to date.
Maybe getting up to date isn't so easy and I'm just an ignorant day one player.
Maybe all of the above is just me unhealthily obsessed with the game.

Just a little correction 5:55
The tsaritsa doesn't have the electro gnosis
Scaramouche took it and ran off as proven by the labyrinth event with childe confirming it
Scaramouch is part of tsaritsa's elite. He ranks higher than Childe and Signora.
@@XerxesBreakSama no he doesn't, he has the exact same rank as Signora and Tartaglia, he isn't above them.
The Harbingers aren't ranked in strength by number
@@bloody4558 he is number 6, signora is no. 8, childe is no. 11. Signora says she is way stronger than Childe while scaramouche exclaims that he is way stronger than both childe and signora. Implying that the numbers they have among the harbringers represent their ranks.
@@bloody4558 K
He was originally the puppet created by Ei but he was too fragile or weak to serve as a vessel for the gnosis because Ei doesn't need it cause she's meditating in her plane of euthymia however, she managed to create another puppet that doesnt require a gnosis to function aka the Raiden Shogun
In the 2.2 event called "Labyrinth warriors" is where it was revealed that Childe was looking for Scara because he took the gnosis all for himself
There were also some speculation on twitter that Childe *might* lose to Scara
Well Scara is higher on the Fatui power scale, so Childe losing is likely if we use that as measurement of pure power.
I'm sorry I just can't see or hear 2.2 without thinking of geometry dash and this just ruins this comment for me lol

Was gonna comment the same thing, he said this was his original theory but definitely isn’t, this is already known in the game.
@@xx.Mckayla I totally agree, I was also about to comment it but started looking for other who had already said this. This theory has already been covered in many different ways by the community, and most of them have something different or new to share with it.

A really fun thin, is that i just had a long conversation about these things over on reddit yesterday
Paimon looks like the opposite of Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. In my opinion Paimon is from Celestia and she can be a puppet of some kind to watch over the traveler (i don't think she knows that tho)

Yae Miko is also absolutely Broken, yes. Love her
Matpat, I really want to love this theory, I really do.
