Thank you for the continued support and demonstration of how every single person should own one of those toilet seats!! Pretty sure Monty would see it as his knew puppy throne if ever I were to add one to my program.
I have been enjoying your weekly episodes for many months now but just recently I have been searching for the earlier ones, which now I am finding out the most basic but necessity chores.. thanks
What a beautiful location Chris, thanks for sharing!! Being originally from the NE, I spent lots of time in the Rehobeth beach area. Beautiful area, especially during off season. Great coffee shops!! Thanks again Chris for sharing your journey, it inspires all of us for adventure!!
Thanks for your videos. Have you done a pros/cons look at the Ursa Minor camper, for those considering getting one over another type of camper option (not necessarily tied to Jeep)?
I saw a recent video where Andrew White mentioned a backup inverter for his camera charging. I had not considered one but since I work online his video and your experience have me re-thinking that. My 2009 JKUR is at just under 120K so I hear ya on the wear worries. I was going to do the camper pop top like you have but, after looking at the cost and other build goals, have decided to stay with the factory hard top / 1 person sleeping setup for now and put the budget into an LS engine / trans swap . I ordered a crate L94 yesterday with the goal of a Fall 2018 swap - hopefully staying ahead of any issues with the stock 3.8 / 6 speed manual :)
Somehow you always find the greatest places to camp. If you ever work your way to Georgia, the Saint Simons Island and Jekyll Island area is breath taking. You would love it. Another great video.
He is the MASTER at finding incredible camping spots! The week Monty and I traveled with, every single spot he goes into it like, "well it could be a bust" (something along those lines) and every locations was better than the previous...
It's a Jeep... No worries. Finally out of the snow. I'm ready for spring myself. How long do plan on taking to get to Moab? If you leave early, take your time, and look about, there should be plenty of Vlog opportunities along the way.
Hey Chris, relax about the alternator. Mine went 180,000 and when I got rid of it (The Jeep), it was still going strong. Just have a mechanic test the electrical charging system for peace of mind.
I have the same problem with the built-in inverter. The solution for me is to not let the laptop charge drop too much. For some reason it seems to take more current to charge a low battery, say 10%, than it does to charge a 50% battery. Try to charge it without using it if it gets very low, then you can start it up later. It is frustrating for sure. I like the AEV tire carrier idea. I need to do that too.
I’ll have to track you down at Easter Jeep Safari and say hello - I’m going to start some ‘slow travel’ from Alberta down that way in another few days and spend a “number of weeks” out on the road (before and after the event).
Great simple setup you have there. I just made my first cup of coffee this morning with the GSI French press. So far I like it. Also have been using the same Halulite kettle you have there. Amazing little pot! Have you seen/tried the GSI hand crank coffee grinder? I just picked this up as well to be able to fresh grind at camp. Takes about the same amount of time to hand grind as it takes to heat the water up. Curious why you went with the Coleman stove that is LP, but physically the size of the dual fuel stove? Coleman and others make much thinner stoves that run on LP. Does the LP tank store inside that stove when packed up? That is one of the pluses of the dual fuel stoves, is that the tank actually fits inside.
Hey there Chris, I've been watching your videos for quite some time now. Awesome stuff man, I'm building my 2015 JKU into an overlanding rig similar to yours. I'll be in MOAB Utah around the same time as you. My girlfriend and I will be on a road trip and we will be camping in MOAB March 21st and 22nd, would be awesome to say hello and shake your hand and pat you on your back for the great work! Regardless, take care ! -jason
Jason keep in-touch via Chris's UA-cam and especially on Instagram, you can hit me up too (@jennifer.langille) It may be a bit ahead of us rolling into the area but for sure worth a try!
This comment is much to late to help, but there is another idea that will help to bypass the pesky inverter. Use a portable charger. You can USB charge it off of your cigarette lighter and then charge the Macbook off of that. You will need a quality charger, though. Also, I just read your Goose Gear review today (16:48), so this is some serious serendipity!
I really enjoy your videos, which I just found a few weeks ago, so I’m catching up. At this point, when you were trying to generate content without traveling, it’s awfully reminiscent of The Office S4:E11, Survivor Man. Michael overdramatized everything per his nature, and there’s a bit of that here too. “It’s about survival” were your words as you made lunch while chilling in your Jeep 😂
Been watching a bunch of your vids... subscribed... quick question... what do you for a living as I've heard you saying you gotta get some work done and considering all the vids and time you've spent on the road it seems your almost never home... so again... what do you do for a living?...
Been dragging my feet to upgrade my iPhone 5. Now certain features don't work in apps, it's time. Our diets are eerily similar. Laughed for about 30 second to "I also want tacos." Hahaha
nice setup. just subscribed. when you camp on your own, aren't you apprehensive about safety? i don't know anything about this type of stuff, but i'm getting interested...
Funny, I have mine set to Australian voice too. After using the echo for a while, it's so much superior w/ voice commands, I hate it when I try to talk to Siri... :-)
Hello, Chris, this is another Chris, I have noticed you don't have a tailgate table yet is there any particular reason for this? Ozark Trial camp chairs are the perfect chair for the kids they last for a good while and definitely are worth it. I mean they are $6. LOL
Do you ever come to Kansas? Or would you be interested in coming to Kansas? I have permission on about a thousand acres of land that are absolutely perfect for camping fishing and wheeling.
Man my iphone 6 plus was doing the same thing. I just disconnected the battery for 30 seconds and plugged it back in and boom. fixed everything. Apple will replace the battery for 40 bucks. It's a battery issue.
iPhone batteries are $29 now and the rest of the year. That is because they got caught slowing down phones when the battery got old. I would save the money and just get a new battery.
Hey buddy I'm in JERSEY if you ever need to use a shop or just want to hang out at the Jersey shore let me know.i have some gifts for you .where do I send them? Keep up the good work.
Or and even easier... get some orange or yellow bell peppers and cut the top off. Then put the chili in the pepper. Rap them up and on the manifold they go. Good for you and increase your man card a few notches too. ;)
His "food coach" (aka. me) is on it! Give me at least one more week... we'll be sneaking some veggies into those cooking scenes soon. He does like them!
I think your Inverter is only a 100 Watts look at the new power supply it could be more than that if it doesn’t say how many watts use ohm’s law to find it out maybe buy a 12 volt charger for your laptop
Relax!! You do great videos but need to breathe re tech! Buy a meter p!ease! As others say read power spec on charger for Mac. A low power inverter will plug into your new sockets probably enough for Mac. Look at the spec for built in. They don't weaken! They work or don't. Running Jeep only charges battery and won't increase your inverter unless battery low. Save your money and look at second battery pack. Lots of new ones. Go lithium. Goal zero and others are review on UA-cam! Perfect for you! Great setup!
I know this comment is a little late, but ave you ever considered a RAM mount for your laptop? Like cops have installed on front passenger seat. Part Number: RAM-316-HD-18-202U
$100 for an inverter? All you need to do is go to Walmart and get a 300w Cobra inverter for probably $30 and wire two alligator clips to it and connect it to your battery. You don't need a pure sine wave inverter for your laptop it has its own built in protection in the cord and charging block. You could probably get away with the 150w inverter that plugs into your lighter outlet.
Jeez. I'm all in favour of 'redundancy' , understand the concept. But shittin on your own table, is a step too far for me. But, each to their own. Enjoy the channel, really interesting and well shot etc. Thanks man, keep on, keepin on.
Budget accordingly. The Jeep is going to need to be replaced sooner or later. If that means more income is needed, say so. If the community wants your videos (surely they do), it's gotta happen
Thank you for the continued support and demonstration of how every single person should own one of those toilet seats!! Pretty sure Monty would see it as his knew puppy throne if ever I were to add one to my program.

travelling through your eyes, amazing experience. thank you
Sometimes you have to slow down in order to move forward...
Really enjoying tagging along on your adventures.
I enjoyed living vicariously through you lol - thanks for the videos! :)
Thanks again good video and the sunsets were beautiful.
What a beautiful location Chris, thanks for sharing!! Being originally from the NE, I spent lots of time in the Rehobeth beach area. Beautiful area, especially during off season. Great coffee shops!! Thanks again Chris for sharing your journey, it inspires all of us for adventure!!
I love your setup. Great videos, keep up the good work
Great video, truly enjoyed it. Keep it up my friend!
NICE AREA QUITE. WILL HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT. BE SAFE AND WARM .THANK YOU!

I do still have your Camp Chair from New Years! And now that you mention it, I've got some fun plans for it before you return to pick it up, lol!
Please be sure to document those "fun plans" ;)
I saw the hellbender burrito sticker on the fridge. Awesome food and brew.
Somehow you always find the greatest places to camp. If you ever work your way to Georgia, the Saint Simons Island and Jekyll Island area is breath taking. You would love it. Another great video.
Brian Perticari I agree. Also try Hunting Island in SC
He is the MASTER at finding incredible camping spots! The week Monty and I traveled with, every single spot he goes into it like, "well it could be a bust" (something along those lines) and every locations was better than the previous...
Jennifer Langille got to love the Internet

Had a rough day at work Chris but your low-key adventure brought some peace to my restless mind. No worries Mate as they say. Cheers
Some great scenes there Chris.
Glad you found somewhere to upload.
Some great scenes there Chris.
Glad you found somewhere to 'download' too lol
Will see you at EJS Chris! Safe travels
Glad that you back and a great blogg
König hört sich deutsch an!! ;-)

I want to make coffee like you do because it was very yummy when i had it in oregon
Keep up the great work and stay safe!!!😁
I’ll have to track you down at Easter Jeep Safari and say hello - I’m going to start some ‘slow travel’ from Alberta down that way in another few days and spend a “number of weeks” out on the road (before and after the event).
You can use the seat as a toilet or as a table but not both.
Scott Black Cycles why not my bum is clean
There is no eating of food off it! ha ha ;)
Apparently, there is. (See 13:52 - ua-cam.com/video/JT5heiXr70A/v-deo.html)
Ok I am not eating any food off it! But I'll sit on it! LOL
Jennifer Langille do u travel with him
have you done any videos of camping around the Finger Lakes in New York?
Great simple setup you have there. I just made my first cup of coffee this morning with the GSI French press. So far I like it. Also have been using the same Halulite kettle you have there. you: "You know what this needs?"
me: "Cheese!"
you: "Cheese!"
lol
What tent is that I love it?

Coffee makes you do your first order of bizzness lol
Have you picked the trails you want to do at Easter Jeep Safari yet?
I want a segment where you inspect your toilet furniture with a blacklight.
Don't beat yourself up ,and the Jeep will be fine.
Next time on east coast go to Ocracoke Island NC.
Chris I do a lot of camping and have never seen your toilet. What is the make and model of it please. I really would love to outfit my rig wirth one
If you have to do those plugs again put them in warm water they will go right in!
How bout a link to that toilet tripod!
what is the utility of the bar in front of your windshield that you are fixing in this episode?
Been watching a bunch of your vids... subscribed... quick question... what do you for a living as I've heard you saying you gotta get some work done and considering all the vids and time you've spent on the road it seems your almost never home... so again... what do you do for a living?...

Who makes your little folding table?
Also get an inverter from Harbor Freight I have had one for years no problems at all.
Where did you get the toilet seat?
How do you keep your water from freezing on those below freezing days?
nice setup. just subscribed. when you camp on your own, aren't you apprehensive about safety? i don't know anything about this type of stuff, but i'm getting interested...

Can you share what toilet that is??
Hello, Chris, this is another Chris, I have noticed you don't have a tailgate table yet is there any particular reason for this?
Ozark Trial camp chairs are the perfect chair for the kids they last for a good while and definitely are worth it. I mean they are $6. LOL
Where did you purchase that tripod toilet
Do you ever come to Kansas? Or would you be interested in coming to Kansas? I have permission on about a thousand acres of land that are absolutely perfect for camping fishing and wheeling.
Chris, you may have mentioned this somewhere already, but I'm curious what you do for income? Enjoying your vlogs.
Is your jeep suspension stock? I can’t tell if you have lifted it at all
It is not, here's the episode on the upgrade: ua-cam.com/video/wZpS2FL9ZFM/v-deo.html
when did u post your first video
Go with the Teraflex tire carrier and heavy duty hinge it's much better and less moving parts.
Third!
Walter Sigona ~
Im tipping Chris wants the AEV carrier for the end tanks for water storage
I agree with that. Then you could add the Teraflex Alta Cargo rack...

I stand corrected! I thought it was $39 :-)
renew passport, eh? Coming to Canada? Also, my Jeep hit 206295 miles, you've got lots of miles yet.
Hey buddy I'm in JERSEY if you ever need to use a shop or just want to hang out at the Jersey shore let me know.i have some gifts for you .where do I send them? Keep up the good work.
What French press is that? Thanks. Like the channel.
Also what table is that? (Not the toilet desk).
Who makes that table?
How much tire size in your car ?
what camp table are you using?
iPhone 6 was a terrible phone ,anyone remember the bend test ? you could literally snap it in half due to the weak aluminium used
AEV sponsorship required!.... and yes get a new phone and maybe consider Pixel 2
Ahh the great Swiss army toilet
LOL well Chris.... I don't see any veggies in those meals you're making... ;)
Or and even easier... get some orange or yellow bell peppers and cut the top off. Then put the chili in the pepper. Rap them up and on the manifold they go. Good for you and increase your man card a few notches too. ;)

Seems odd to me you wouldn’t put your laptop on your table and sit in your Ozark chair so you can work outside...
👍👍🇨🇦

This video was slightly depressing to watch
Why not just go to McDonalds for breakfast...
Don’t you have a child?
