FYI- as this might make your life a bit easier, as you travel. most truck stops off major highways have showers. you can sign up for one and then they will call you once it's your turn. Part and parcel to the cross- country truckers and you might find it convenient as you travel about the country. thanks for the all the great content and reality of the road bits. I think those are just as important, in explaining EVERYTHING that your lifestyle entails.
Awesome pizza oven brother! I have enjoyed watching your entire series. If you are going to off road and explore in the winter in areas like that I have a couple of suggestions. 1. Get yourself a light weight collapsible snow shovel....MUCH better for moving snow for camp tasks and when you really need it. And a broom might be handy as well. 2. Get tire chains(with bars), front and rear if you can swing the cost. When you were sliding backwards on that icy dirt road I kept imagining how long you might be stuck there had you slipped off of the road. Adventuring solo means going equipment/tool heavy because lets face it......when you are out in that crappy weather on isolated roads, you really are all on your own. Keep it up man!
So are you calling yourself not normal? I honestly love what you’re doing Chris. I retire from the military in a few months and I hope todo something in relation to what you’re doing. Just not as long.
Recall on air bags and clock springs. I have a 2010 Sahara Unlimited and the dealer did air bag already but the clock springs are on backorder . No charge
Walter Sigona Is this a common issue?? Just wondering because I have a 2014 jku. Is it a known issue they will replace whenever or just when it's gone bad??
Thanks for the info on the clock spring. Mine just started doing the same thing. Took it to my dealer Savage L&B in Robesonia and made an appointment. Still under warranty at 104,000 miles. And once again great video. Now time to go wander around the Reading Anthracite coal region...PS...Thanks for stopping in OK4wd. I didn't know about them. Called them today to order some axles, they gave me a great deal on them!
I've been looking forward to the goose gear install and you've held us all in suspense since before... Thanksgiving?! Keep the videos coming, makes life in front of this computer screen a little more enjoyable.
How do you handle condensation inside your pop-up tent? Love your adventures! HI hope to do something like this, maybe a week at a time though. Thanks!
You were right near me in the Albany area and I missed it! Really enjoyed your video as always, Chris. For future trips, any NYS DEC campground (if the gate is open) or camping area is free to camp in during the off season without a permit. The DEC doesn't publicize this very well on their websites. Be safe and keep up the great videos!
Also, you kinda hinted (unknowingly) that you were likely getting a passenger...when you said you were clearing out the fridge and getting groceries for 'us'.
I saw a comedy moment where you were stood next to the Jeep, you looked 4 feet tall. By the way Chris, as I said on Instagram - I love the colour of your Jeep!
Great video as always Christo! I’m pretty sure there’s a recall on your clockspring, but if not, let us know in the next video so we can send you some cash via Patreon! 😉👍🏻
Worth a try? It's worked for a few on the forums. www.jkowners.com/forum/electrical-lighting-tech-dept/62516-steering-mounted-controls-not-working-print.html
Yup. I've seen that thread before. At first I was hopeful that my problem was the same, but the difference is, my controls DO work when I turn the steering wheel to a certain position. That pretty much dashed my hopes that it might be something simple. :(
Not sure what year your Jeep is, I have a 2011 2 door and received a letter from Jeep extending the warranty on the clock spring. You may want to check a dealership near you.
I know! Just the dumb clockspring, of all the things! My heater is my life-blood. The blower motor is starting to sing a little bit, so that might be something to keep an eye on, but an easy fix from what I've read.
I have enjoyed watching some of these videos but if your gonna live a certain lifestyle you need to be able to fund it. If you can afford LL BEAN Down Jackets and all of the equipment (floor storage system) etc in your Jeep you should be able to pay for repairs. At 11:45 it seems your asking for a free repair in exchange for filming the repair. Don't be a beggar...it's not cool.

Nice video Chris thank you 😎👍
Watkins Glen State Park gorge trail is packed up until easily Thanksgiving. They just completed some massive renovations.

You should get a drone. Would love seeing some overhead shots in the scenic places you visit.

Can’t wait to see where you are going bud!
Dude that’s awesome!! I know exactly where that overlook is!!! I live in Montoursville!!!

FCA changed the warranty for the clock springs to 15 years and unlimited miles on the 2011-2016 Wranglers.
Walter Sigona Is this a common issue?? Just wondering because I have a 2014 jku. Is it a known issue they will replace whenever or just when it's gone bad??
only if its going bad they will replace it
Clock springs used to be lifetime, maybe they're using a cheaper version.
Just had mine replaced under warrenty. Most of the buttons stopped working. 2011 JK.

Only just discovered it, but I am really loving your channel, mate. Amazing work. Thanks for sharing your travels

About half a million recalled clock springs. I did mine before the recall and wasn't terrible. You can check VIN online to see if yours qualifies.
Watkins Glen i think there is a cabin in that park that was occupied by someone famous
Wish you were in TN I would do that clock spring for you.
I call it morning and evening oblations. Must be performed regularly.
That’s actually a great way to reheat pizza. The bottom doesn’t get soggy
Your videos are always great-an honest
I agree with you that Pizza Hut Pizza is better as leftovers. In fact I find that most pizza is better reheated for whatever reason.
Looks to cold for me. Great video.👍🏼
On nooooo I hate suspense!!! Can’t wait for next week!
Totally loved seeing you heat up your leftover pizza on the skottle.

What size tires did you end up going with?
Great video as always Christo! I’m pretty sure there’s a recall on your clockspring, but if not, let us know in the next video so we can send you some cash via Patreon! 😉👍🏻
Try honking the horn a few times. Secret JK Jedi clock spring ECU reset.
Thank you! I gave it a shot, to no avail. That would've been too good to be true! :)

Check with a dealer, I had a recall for my clocksprings.
Dude, I just missed a chance to buy an Ursa Minor on Craigslist. It sold pretty quick.
The water freezing was very cool
I love some starbucks coffee for sure, but is too damn expensive to eat anything there.
I found you ! Frozen in your jeep
We are waiting for you over here! Bring your passport!
Oh yeah! Have to renew that stat!
Getting “us” groceries. Shadow of someone filming at the end? Perhaps a travel companion?!
That's what I thought too!
