tbh. Having 2 teenagers to protect Paris/the world is kinda unfair. They're being robbed of having a normal childhood, so I would also be extremely happy if I finally got the heavy pressure taken off my shoulders.
oddly enough, Su-Han did tell them the miraculous could only be entrusted to adults and planned to give the miraculous to adults once he took them back. Of course, because Ladybug didnt want to loose her memory, they resisted the chance to give up being heroes. Fu could have given it to adults, but he was such a paranoid mess and didnt have anyone else to trust with the miraculous, so he gave it to the two he met long ago when Ladybug and Cat Noir traveled to the past to meet him and proved he could trust them. When they got another chance to give up being heroes, they took it because they knew it was never their right to keep the jewels, it was a responsibility they agreed to carry, but that responsibility could be given to someone else.
Im sorry but the Marinette's past episode just felt like it was made up in the spot in order to justify Marinette's stalking, the writing is just so tagged on its a bad show.
Ah, Astruc poorly retconning something to address fan backlash ending up being a cop out instead of solving the issue. Nothing out of character for him.
It also felt like a retcon of Kim's behaviour. In the beginning, he was a dumb but sensitive douchebag, but later matured a but and was just the fun, meathead of the group. But in Derision he turns into his season 1 self and then back to his current self at thw end of the episode. Its a mess
Honestly Marinette having repressed ptsd feels like a cop out. No indications of it was ever implied, especially with her interactions with Kim which were pretty normal in previous seasons. This was clearly just written for this season to justify her stalker tendencies after the show got backlash for it.
@jonelrobinson5189 People who think this is some long game master stroke forget how bad the writers for this show are and that odds are they just lift stuff directly from fanfics
they DEFINITLY do. I 100 percent am certain that they had the 'mom in a crystal coffin/chamber/pod in the basement' lifted from the fanfics LONG before she was shown in one.@@Anuppuzero
Hard disagree on your Derision opinion. It does recontextualize the jokes, it gives Marinette and excuse for her awful behavior. It’s meant to brush away all criticism because, “Marinette has trauma” which is frustrating. Trauma is not an excuse to be a stalker. It would be better if she developed and realized how she acted in certain instances was wrong and taking things too far. But we can’t have that, because nothing can ever be wrong with Marinette. Also, it’s pretty fucked up for what’s apparently a trauma response to be used as a joke at Marinette’s expense.
@@RooftopRose079 Unfortunately your idea goes against rule number 1 of the show: Marinette doesn't make mistakes. Kiss a statue of her crush? It's okay because he actually loved it in his flash back even though he clearly is uncomfortable in the actual episode. Steal/invade property? It's fine because she had spiders in a pool.
And what added to my frustration is Chloe. In season 1,she just didn't like Marinette and that's all. And then in the flash back she's worse than Satan. Thomass,LEAVE CHLOE ALONE.
@@assiaelkhayate-sl8hu season 5's "B plot" is just a compilation of thinly disguised Chloe slander moments. So much screen time that could've been used for character or plot development gone to waste because Astruc can't accept people sympathized with her.
@@kou7191 Astruc really is petty and immature. He can't accept people liking Chloe so he blatantly writes her as if she was an irredeemable monster (despite Lila technically supposed to be that and Gabriel is WAY worse than her, yet he is given some form of redemption).
Former fan here, don't feel bad. We all saw the dumpster fire that was season three, anyone who decided to continue should have known it was going downhill from there.
Hey ! French person here ! To be honest, most cities in France sucks, but Lyon is wonderful. The transport system is beginner friendly and easy to access (100% disabled friendly too) and it's beautiful. It's the only city I love for I am more of a village/countryside person, so yeah. Best city ever. Also great video as always : )
Derision is an episode that just frustrates me. And it's not because Marinette has a panic attack. No. It's the reason why she knows Adrien's full schedule for the next three years. I get it that she wants to know the boy she's in love with before confessing. But for me. It's just a try to justify her stalking. Before anyone disagrees with me that Marinette is a stalker. Let me remind you. SHE FOLLOWED ADRIEN TO ANOTHER FRICKIN CONTINENT! If that isn't considered stalking then I don't know what. She also broke into his house twice. One of them being with her powers. She tried to break in because he was with another girl. She tried to ruin other girls so they wouldn't be with Adrien. And the list goes on. Derision also is a way to make Chloé look like a irredeemable fvcking monster. We get it Thomas. You want Chloé to be irredeemable. I'm just sick of this. If they didn't want Chloé to be loved. Why make her? Why trying to give her a redemption? Why not just let her be a mean girl side character and have Zoé in season one allready? Then there's Kim. Oh, my, fvcking, Gimmi. How did they managed to ruin him? Kim wasn't insensitive in earlier seasons. He was dumb, yes, but not insensitive. Him not understand that there's jokes and prank that aren't funny and can actually hurt people. And saying that another girl is wonderful, INFRONT OF HIS GIRLFRIEND, is just so insensitive. So yeah. Just wanned to vent about this episode a little. This is my opinions and I hope you respect them. And I'll respect yours.
Okay I have to add to your Marinette part cause yes I cannot stand when I say she’s a stalker and someone says “she has a reason for it!” Like- yes you should know/get to know the person you are romantically interested, that’s normal. What is not normal is it the degree of which she goes to. It’s creepy. And then I’m told “she’s traumatized” so that makes stalking okay to do? Like trauma is a very serious thing but something I’ve always believed is that regardless of the reason behind a behavior it doesn’t mean you can treat others badly. It’s like people who like Marinette as a character don’t like that she’s a stalker so instead of acknowledging you can like a flawed/badly behaved character they try and justify why it’s okay she’s a stalker. Let me send a message out to everyone! You can like a flaw character, you can like villainous characters, etc. You do not have to justify their actions to like the character.
@@melit. Thank you. I'm sick of people saying she's not a stalker. And say things like. "It's a kid show. It suppose to be exaggerated." That's so bad. Saying that stalking is just exaggerated in a kid show is bad. Kids will take after Marinette and do the same things. Plus I'm sure that people don't see it as stalking because of one thing. She's a girl. People say that when girls do these things Marinette does. It's cute because she have a crush. Seems like they don't know what a yandere is. But I'm sure if Marinette was a guy and did this, or any other boy did what she's doing. THEN more people would consider it creepy and concerning.
Like these people saying "She has a reason!" 1. This is barely a reason 2. This reason appeared in SEASON 5. IT'S A BLATANT RETCON AND IS CREATED AS AN EXCUSE. IT IS SO OBVIOUSLY NOT WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED.
I would change that Kim went along with Chloe's prank out of obliviousness (he's obviously not the sharpest tool), and was shocked by Marinette's reaction. The aftermath could have led some character development for kim. But that rift otherwise was never mended.
Oh you poor sweet summer child. Assuming you have not seen the season finale yet, you will be quite disappointed. No spoilers for anyone who has not seen it yet, but do not get your hopes up.
@@ardadeluxe One of the biggest reason peoples hate that episode is how much inconsistency it cause. I think he don't know inconsistencies Derrision cause. He say "Turns out you can akumatize an A.I" in the video. I doubt he know previous seasons well. And I guess he already hate Chloe, so there are no reason for him to hate. I can't find any other explanation for why he didn't say "This episode is one of the worst episode in the entrie show".
Marinette‘s „trauma“ is completely bs!! It’s just an excuse from the writers for her to be a creepy stalker who does unhealthy & illegal things! It came out of nowhere & you can’t tell me the writers thought about that from season 1 on. It’s also another excuse to ruin Cloe‘s character development from season 2, because Thomas really hates this fictional 14-year old girl for some reason. -.-
It’s actually known that Chloe reminds Thomas of his school bully (not sure if it was high- or middle school, but either way it’s pathetic for a grown ass man to not let a character have their redemption arc because of this)
@@taki7546 Wow. Just wow. Being an adult & creating a show & modeling one of the characters after your old school-bully, just so you can portray them as the worst, is super pathetic.
@@lenastorm6280 Thats not the only surprising part. Thomas Astruc is obsessed with self inserts and making characters based of his personal life, or at least allegedly. Apparently, Sabine Cheng was made after his ex chinrsr partner, and Marinette is his imaginary daughter, hense its why this man makes her to be always right in situations, and lets her get away with her actions. This might be a theory, but oh well.
Man, hard disagree that Derision (Marintte's PTSD episode) was a good addition. Taking 4 seasons of very clear jokes and recontextualizing them as a trauma response was a terrible call. It makes all of those old episodes (and several ones from this season) hard to watch because the stuff that was very obviously a joke of questionable quality is now a serious trauma response that we're supposed to treat as a big deal, I guess? Which is just incredibly awkward and ill-suited to this show. Plus it's a wildly inaccurate take on PTSD that vastly underplays how serious that condition is. It's not the sort of thing that you can get over with the power of love and friendship, but of course, that's what the show does! There's also the fact that, if those weren't jokes and were instead trauma responses, then we have to take them at face value and Marinette needs serious help. She shouldn't be dating Adrien, the object of her apparent fixation, and Adrien should absolutely NOT be the one trying to 'fix' her. That's way too much pressure, especially without guidance from a trained professional. I can only look past all of that because it's a blatant retcon. Marinette had no issues dating Adrien in Chat Blanc or Ephemeral and she was fine dating Chat Noir and Luka. She *never* had trauma prior to Derision. The writers retconned it in to make it so that the love square would still have something to keep them from being happy because we can't have that! Most of this season's choices were just dumb or disappointing, but that one was legitimately upsetting for me. I hate terrible mental health rep.
I agree with what you said here, if the show wants to portray Marinette’s behavior as a trauma response and ptsd, then they can I guess but they have to treat it seriously. Especially if they want me to take it seriously. You’re also very correct on how she shouldnt be dating Adrien and he shouldn’t be the one to “fix” her. Again I don’t a have problem with the concept or idea of them going this route, but they have to treat it how it should be treated.
@@melit. Exactly. With all that she's been through, it would be totally understandable for her to have PTSD. Heck, after the season 4 finale, it even makes sense for her to have PTSD around Adrien because of the Felix thing! (Which is seriously how Derision should have been played, but no, we needed more Chloè bashing, I guess.) But it's not a minor condition that you just get over by doing some exercises with your boyfriend and it's pretty messed up for a kids show to portray that as okay. I have a similar issue with the Lila stuff. I fully understand that this is a kids show and the standard is to let the teens solve the problems. But when you introduce things that real kids might actually face, you need to handle those things far more delicately than the magic and supervillains. Useless parents are fine when it comes to Ladybug, but not when it comes to Marinette, you know?
There are unfortunately quite a few stories where a character's PTSD is played for laughs until it revealed to make the audience feel bad about laughing (the first to come to mind is Tales of the Abyss but there are more). I hate it too. Trauma is no laughing matter. One can have a character trying to laugh about it as a coping mechanism, but having the audience and other characters laugh in their faces at their trauma responses, then "surprise! Feel bad mf!" is just dumb honestly..!
@@TeruteruBozusama Especially when they portray laughing at it as bad in the show. Like Derision has Kim as the villain for laughing, but that's what the writers have been trying to make the audience do for 4 seasons, so like, which is it? Why even give her PTSD? If they're sick of the shtick, just get Adrienette together and that will end it as we've seen many times before. No need to retcon.
They retconned so much and made nonsensical decisions in this show probably to fit their at the time growing "mature and edgy teen audience" who ironically seemed to drop off around season 4
Honestly I hope the whole story is rewritten one day cuz the concept has SO MUCH potential and the characters are interesting. But imo, I think the best way to end this season is marionette who has solved her own trauma, helps adrien confront his father and two of them TOGETHER fight adriens father and there’s a big conflict between if adrien chooses his lover or his mind controlling father and after it settles down they solve the mystery of adriens mother in the next season TOGETHER. I NEED.
The Kim / Jocqueline thing came out of nowhere like wtf. Kim traumatized Marinette and never apologized and she just accepted him as a friend like whatever? And Sockeline literally was the only one that defended her in middle school and she JUST makes her first appearance in Season 5??? Not to mention Chloé would literally become a saint before losing Adrien’s friendship in prior seasons and now she goes “meh” when he confronts her?? Also the Zoe thing was cute but came out of nowhere wtf. She doesn’t have character flaws because she doesn’t have character lol.
This also makes me wonder why Marinette didn't just give Socqueline any Miraculous in the first place? If Socquline always knew Marinette and defended her back in middle school, then....why did Marinette give the bee Miraculous away to a random girl she just met (Zoe) over Socquline, especially when she's a half-sister of Chloe? Where was Socquline during seasons 1-4?? Why did she showed up out of nowhere in season 5??? It's not like she moved out of Paris either. She just moved up to high school.
9:13 “A mary sue has no character flaws” No, they bend the logic of the universe (that also includes characters being at all consistent) to their whims and have it center around them in many situations. Plus, most Mary Sue’s have superficial flaws, like her not being confident (No where does this ever matter in the grand scheme of things, it slightly colours characterization but it does not a good or dynamic character make) and her being second fiddle to Chloe where? Her mother? The nonexistent friends Chloe has? Andre? She doesn’t really play second fiddle to anyone in ways that are intentional.
Honestly as a French Girl, Paris is very romanticized and whitewashed, that’s why people are mad. Many viral videos recently pointed out how different it is from what they expected, but hey, so is every big city in the world. The romanticized places are the richest borough of the town, where everything is expensive af too ✋🏾 but it’s à pleasant Town to visit or spend a few days. I recommand other cities tho like the ones from the south of france, not only it’s better in summer, but also more charming.
As a French from the South East and who has been in Paris a few time, I agree. And yeah, come visit other cities and the countryside, it's great too. I would say the same thing for Paris and Marseille tho, it a beautiful city when you're a tourist but some places suck, like in every big city. It's also very hot in summer
I respectfully wanna disagree with anyone who wants to excuse Marinette after watching derision. The episode was made AFTER everything's she's done felt like a a last minute thing to justify her actions. If that episode was made beforehand or added in an earlier season it would have been understandable. But by now it's S5 and Thomas probably saw people finally stating that Marinette was a protagonist with flaws. So to me, marinette is still unjustified for stalking and stealing from Adrien. Again tho, you're valid for your opinions but I'm just saying😅
The Derision episode was stupid and unnecessary. There is no reason or excuse for Marinette's actions as an obsessive stalker. Astruc thinks he created a perfect angel, when in reality, she's a HORRIBLE character, and yeah, some would argue that she's as bad if not worse than Chloe. Chloe does something bad and causes an akuma, she's the devil incarnated. But Marinette does bad stuff too, even cause a few akumas herself, yet she gets away Scott free, and always gets her way. Heck, Marinette's obsession with Adrien led to the Miraculous getting stolen. Fun fact, in the original version, Marinette and Chloe were supposed to be best friends. Let that sink in.
@@Sophie_idk_lol honestly I liked it more with her being a crush obsessed girl. lots of teens don;t know how to handle crushes and get awkward and intense and weird about it. They literally had nino parallel mari's behaviour back in season one with alya and adrien helping their respective best friends try to get with their crush because both refused to just TALK with their crushes and communicate properly. Mari being drawn to him for valid reasons in origin due to admiring his ability to be brave emotionally(which is something she struggles with) was nicely set up..but due to that bad first impression it MAKES SENSE why mari would struggle to talk to him at first. scared to make herself look worse after judging him falsely in the gum incident despite his understanding. So her watching him from afar and collecting info from the readily available magazines as well WOULD satisify mari's erge to get to know him while keeping her safe from actually being vulnerable herself...like how lots of teens handle celebrity crushes but also REALLY intense crushes. Mari getting info the way she did would put adrien on a higher pedistal in her mind..increasing the difficulty she has when talking to him. Mari had already explained in glacatiour 2.0 her fear of vulnerability/making a fool of herself and fear of rejection as well. And lots of teens don't realize they are crossing lines....ESPECIALLY when they keep their crushes to themselves..its easy to judge Chat/Adrien, chloe, lila and heck even kagami at times because if they go too hard on their crushes its out in the open to be judges where we can see the issue...mari thinks she is keeping things to herself..and people are more likely to justify their own behaviour and not others and so would have a harder time realizing it... even more mari is generally a good person, pretty, kind, talented and helps her friends...so her friends obviously don't see what mari is doing as creepy or too far because mari is a girl and its harder to see mari as a threat. Honestly mari's issues DIRECTLY contrast the issues that Adrien/Chat has with how he handles HIS crushes. Adrien flirts to test the waters enough that LB didn;t realize his feelings were serious becuase SHE feels so strongly she can't bare to make a move due to nerves. Adrien is good at making the first move and putting his feelings outhere where his struggle is holding BACK his flirting and feelings at times while Mari feels intensly but always BACKTRACKS her feelings when it comes close to being outed to adrien..coming up with excuses to cover up her adrien centered motives from adrien and often not making a move at all or secertly making gifts she never gives him. Chat actually got to confess...Mari didn't. Chat got closure and realized he both can't force his feelings to go away if he's not ready..but also that he CAN choose to try to be with someone else without lying to himself about his feelings...while Mari was lying to herself even though she was REALLY bad at it and tried to date luka with no closure at ALL. Mari allowed herself to cry over luka....Adrien made himsefl focus on Ladybug again as a distraction becuase he couldn'tt fix the scenerio and come clean about his lies due to being chat. Kagami didn't even want to be his friend anymore..while Luka was really understanding and just wanted mari to talk to him again after the breakup. Adrien has a accurate look at her negative traits and her positive traits and liked her anyway and noticed the similarities the mari side had to her ladybug side on his own while being UNAWARE of the sketchy stuff mari has done due to her crush on Adrien. and he always assumes the best of mari. Marinette has stronger love goggles and DOESN'T see the similarities between adrien and Chat. assuming she knows both well enough unlike adrien who thinks there is more to know about mari and LB...to the point when he spelled out his identity she laughed in his face and she panicked about it for ages during emphereal. Mari is aware of chat's feelings for her for a long time(due to him actaully telling her) and calles him out when he does anything that crosses her lines or makes her upset...and doesn't really trust chat that much even if she SAYS she does. Even when the crushs seemed to flip...adrien was still more forward in his feelings while mari kept trying to run away at points due to her feelings...and even when she seemed to 'love' chat...she didn't REALLY think about his perspective. Adrien due to flirting and making his feleings known openly as his issues pointed out directly by LB or Mari and the show itself will punish him and point out clearly where he was wrong where he will at least be aware and apologize where how he handles his crush could go wrong.... while Mari ften gets away with her sketchy behaviour entirely due to no one knowing or calling it out and often doesnt realize or brushes of her own behaviour.... This could make a WONDERFUL set up where mari's behavior is the yang to his yin! ALL they had to do was call out she was handling her crush poorly and where she was wrong...how she treated him as a love interest first and didnt REALLY value his friendship enough hence why she's often avoid him. how him not realizing her feelings wasnt due to him being dense but that she was bad at communicating her feelings. how despite her sincere feelings she started treating him like a celebrity crush at times. A literal joke was how mari would be kindof insensative toward others feelings and assume chat was just trying to get her jealous as a example when he wasn't actually doing that...or having him pratice with her confessing toward a 'different' guy after not putting herself in his shoes and how she'd feel. My frustration when the show would have her SAY the right things like questioning her feeling for Adrien or seem to fall for chat but the way it came off as her just trying to find excuses to run from her feelings again or how it didn't narratively work for her to suddenly question the validity of her feelings. maybe used how kids have a harder time telling where the line is when everything is on the internet! Have mari ACTUALLY face the issues with how she handles her crush! even in risk..instead of it actually being a flaw due to how she handles her crush on adrien technially it made perfect sense for her to bring in who she thought was adrien who wasn;t being affected by risk! YEAH it turned out to be felix but narritively she had no way to KNOW that! mari often gets the right answer with the wrong equation and i was SO excited to see mari realize or have it directly pointed out how the way she handled her crush could HURT the other person or cross lines and make someone feel like you AREN'T really seeing them as a person...something that would DIRECTLY hurt Adrien who has assumed mari takes his feelings seriously and who thinks mari saw him properly as a friend all this time. but NO! they try to justify it with a trauma that makes previous behavior across 4 seasons make NO sense! why would adrien actively try to kill kim with a catacysm? why would kim who is afraid of spiders scare mari with one let alone not be sincerely apologetic finding out a prank had really hurt her...why bring up him finding chloe pretty when he;s been over her since season 1? why have adrien cut off from chloe when tehy already where friends and have been cut off from each other since zoey got there? I'd sooner believe mari was having trauma from Adrien looking like Felix and how mari have TRULY been tricked and assumed felix was Adrien before just to be deeply betrayed where she had a panic attack when felix gave up all the miraculouses to hawkmoth! Only mari can;t explain that because thats 'ladybug's' trauma and not 'marinettes's trauma'. ...so her coming up with a different explination to explain her acting off could work...heck we KNOW mari isn't above lying to get herself out of a pinch! or cover for a behavior who's motive the other people can't know. like how she says her dislike of lila and chloe was due to hating liars but it was due to personal feelings of bad history with chloe as mari and due to jealous and dislike as marinette due to being insulted by lila in vophina and knowing lila liked adrien.
I didn't like derision. It was lore the writers pulled from their butt and dropped on fans after realizing fans dislike Marinette and view her actions as creepy - therefore they gave trauma as an excuse (despite it never being hinted at before) and for fans to not hate her anymore.
6:40 - I lived this in a completely opposite way. For years, the authors rolled their eyes at fans complaining about Marinette being a creepy stalker: "it's just a joke, chill". Now they shoehorn this retcon in, giving Marinette this past trauma no one had heard of before. Of all the times she's been at the pool, or she's talked to Kim, or she's seen Kim at the pool/in a swimsuit, this NEVER resurfaced... not even in the original "Dark Cupid" episode, as she saw Kim being humiliated in a similar way, came even close to think "well, how does it feel, hu?"... ...all of a sudden, she goes to the pool and she shows signs of PTSD with Vietnam-like flashbacks? (Not to mention they turned Kim from generic school jock into an alt-right strawman for the sake of this episode, complaining that "can't tell jokes anymore, everybody gets offended").
Zoe is not a marysue. She can be manipulative and hard to get along with. It's her execution that's bad. She appeared out of nowhere and only was there for like 5 episodes, her backstory was revealed way too quick. And it's obvious that she was there to replace Chloé. Chloé is objectively better than Zoe.
I'm not a fan of the "bully turns good" cliché but the whole Paris hated her. It would be interesting to see Chloé use the miraculous for fame and her mother's attention at first but later starts to enjoy saving people. She should not be completely nice (that would just make her boring) instead, her motives and intentions should be changed. Basically, she should be morally gray but the others don't despise her for it. The "some people can't change" message is actually good, but using a teenage character is just stupid. An adult character like Gabriel, Chloé's mother (I forgot her name) and Nathalie would be perfect for it.
I've seen some people say that the message "some people can't change" is good and Chloé doesn't have to be good and all but come on, it just has some weird messaging in it. Chloe is a teenager. Besides, any development would be good. I worded this so terribly lol.
Another thing, I'm pretty sure Chloé was supposed to be 14. Astruc saw that fans were defending Chloé's actions by saying she a teenager. So he changed her age to 16. Edit: It can possibly be a rumour.
French person here ! I may be biased because I lived there my whole life but you should definitely check Strasbourg, especially during December! There's a famous Christmas market, the city has some nice light decorations, etc... It's always crowded so, if you prefer a place with less person, you can always see the markets in the villages around Strasbourg ! There's also an easy to understand public transport system and most people are willing to help tourists when they're lost
I guess it could’ve been explained if they actually made Marinette take accountability for her actions and if that plot didn’t came out of nowhere. Like you can’t tell me they thought about that before Season 5.
this guy knows whats up! i know shes been though so much but that doesn’t mean she has to stalk someone and invade their privacy because that completely contradicts of what shes supposed to do as ladybug; isnt she’s supposed to protect people from harm and show them hope when literally she invades her crush’s privacy, breaking and entering adrien’s house for like 2 times when she was ladybug and literally FOLLOWED HIM ALL THE WAY TO ANOTHER COUNTRY, BROKE INTO A AIRPORT JUST TO KISS HIM AND LITERALLY EXCLUDES KAGAMI FOR NO REASON JUST BECAUSE BRO IS CLOSE WITH ADRIEN, like give the guy a break and go seek some help
Season 1: a whatever season. It was just the same thing every episode but to be fair to Zagtoon, it was the first season of a show that had a terrible production history Season 2: The plot thickens. There were some questionable writing choices here and there but compared to the later seasons, this is the best the show has ever been Season 3: really good until the FRICKING ENDING OH MY FRICKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Season 4: I thought this was the worst of the worst but after the final episode of season 5, I’m gonna take that back. Season 5: began to restore my faith in this show UNTIL THE END OH MY GOD I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW BAD THE ENDING WAS!!!!!!!!!
Season 1: Cute, cool, wholesome and fluffy. Also that was the best season for Ladynoir dynamic and teamwork. Season 2: The best season. Chloe is startingto get better, some incredible episodes like "Style Queen" and "Queen wasp";etc. Season 3: Lots of wonderful episodes with darker premises "Chat blank,Oblivio). Some questionable writing choices. Until the finale where everything was ruined. Season 4: Entertaining but the writing is getting worse. Finale is actually great. Season 5: I lost hope. The worst season in Miraculous, where Cat Noir is sidelined as he'll,Chloe is worse than Satan,Adrientte happens weirdly,Luka literally gets thrown aside, and derision. The forbidden episode. And the finale...no words.
Season 1: A nice fun introductory season, sets up the world and introduces the characters well enough Season 2: Dawdles a bit too much, not as fun as season 1 but has a great (but admittedly 'plot armoury') finale Season 3: Underrated, has some of the best episodes like Chat Blanc, Oblivio and fun ones like Gamer 2.0. But Like S2 dawdles too much. Season 4: Great season, well paced and progresses with interesting plot setup leading into the next few episodes. A couple of duds do appear like Quilin and Penalteam. Season 5: Like 4 had was well paced and had great progression in the first 11 episodes (bar maybe 'Destruction' which kinda contrived a plot device and 'Transmission' which rushed through emotional moments too quickly). The 2nd half is where it starts to get a bit weird, there are a series of frustrating and chore-like episodes until we reach Adoration-Confrontation which are 5 great quality episodes ('Emotion' is my 2nd favourite episode this season, Negative completely misunderstood Felix's character). The final 5 episodes is where it gets weird again but in a very frustrating way. Collusion is a fun episode but ends in a dumb way. Revolution is Plot armour central but has an nice emotional ending. Representation is very frustrating as a lot happens in it, characters are forced into frustrating situations, characters know things unceremoniously (off screen) with no build up and it ends up turning into a pretentious episode that amounts to nothing in the end. The 2 part finale was just sad part 1 was beyond frustrating with how it wrote a main (title) character out of it completely and ultimately led to a gathering that looked good on paper but meant nothing in the end (unlike the Fellowship in LOTR 3 fighting the Orc armies and turning up at the gates of Mordor as a final distraction for Frodo and Sam), anyone else fighting who is not Ladybug/BugNoire here is just there to decorate the episodes. The epilogue though was the worst part, had the most contrived redemption (which wasn't a real redemption) and he gets praised for it with a statue after being successful (which him making the wish in the way he did made sense ngl but could have been done in a different way). (It's a shame really as Season 5 started soo impeccably good until it got to the later episodes and turned into a frustrating wreck)
@taki7546 I said it “began to restore my faith” because it made me think that they would give cat noir more screen time and make him an equal to ladybug. I also thought hawkmoth was finally going to be defeated. I was such an idiot to think the show would actually do those things and try to improve.
A Mary Sue isn't a character that has no flaws! A Mary Sue is a character whose flaws will never negatively impact her life in any meaningful way, a character that the narrative never addresses their flaws! For example, -Mana Sue- Aida Mana from DokiDoki Precure: she's the student council president, top of the class, very athletic, every club asks for her help due to her multitude of talents, and she's connected to the wealthiest family in the world and becomes friends with her favorite idol. On top of that she becomes a magical girl and has no issues balancing her civilian life and her magical activities. When Regina, the daughter of the final boss that destroyed her idol friend's homeworld and possibly killed that world's group of Magical Girls, gets introduced, Mana decides to befriend her over a HUNCH. Of course, Makoto, the idol friend who lost her homeworld, family and friend Precures in the invasion, feels betrayed by this action and stops talking to Mana. How does the narrative address this clear flaw on Mana's part? Well, the narrative isn't about how Mana was wrong for siding with the daughter of evil (Ha! Vocaloid reference!), but about how will Makoto realize that Mana was right all along and that she should go back to being in good terms with her, which she does by the end of the episode. Then there's the part where Regina becomes good (because Mana is always right) but her father brainwashes her into being evil again. The Precures have a clear shot with their group attack to purify the evil in her like they have been doing in every single episode, but Mana refuses to shoot because she doesn't want to fight her friend, causing the attack to fail and giving Evil Regina the chance she needed to defeat them. Clearly this is a flaw that will have grave consequences for them and Mana will have to learn that she needs to abandon her ideals and make harsh decisions when the time comes, right? Nope, another Precure gets introduced without any foreshadowing whatsoever, beats the living shit out of Regina and releases her attack, but Regina cannot be brought back. Then said mysterious Precure, in a later episode, says that if her attack wasn't enough to purify Regina, their combined attacks would have had even less of a result, so it's okay that Mana didn't attack because her flaws don't matter! Then there's the school festival preparation episode, where Aguri, a 10 years old Precure, reads a book about a statue made of gold and jewels that told a bird to give parts of himself to the people of the city until there was nothing left of him, with the moral of the story being that if you only give you will DIE, and she immediately associates the character with Mana, because Mana is just that kind. Except Mana's way of helping people is by taking the problem out of their hands and solving it for them, so nobody ever grows around her, instead they become too dependent on her and can't do anything for themselves. Clearly a flaw that she'll have to lea-THE NARRATIVE SIDES WITH HER! Mana gets sick and can't help with the festival preparations, but everybody is so reliant on her that nobody can do anything, so Aguri goes around the campus scolding everyone for not being able to do their jobs, but instead of learning from this every student just gets even more depressed. Then the best character in the series, the one guy that doesn't like Mana and doesn't let her help him in any way, leads by example and starts doing the work all by himself (MVP out there, boys), inspiring everyone else to do the same and the festival is saved. Mana gets better at the end and every students thanks her, because it's thanks to her teachings that they were able to overcome being losers who can't do anything without the girl that made them losers who can't do anything without her in the first place! None of Aida Mana's flaws impact her life in any meaningful way. She is always right, even when she's wrong the universe will bend itself backwards to prove she was right all along. If she makes a mistake, it doesn't matter because nobody could have solved it in the first place! If she essentially betrays her friend, it doesn't matter because it's only a matter of time until her friend realizes she was right all along! If she makes everyone too stupid to function, it doesn't matter because it's all thanks to her that they can function now, even though it was someone else who fixed that problem instead! So, let's go back to Zoey, what are her character flaws? She's too nice and lets others walk all over her? Well, that doesn't stop Marinette for thinking she is the best choice to hold one of the most useful Miraculous out there that can defeat any Miraculous Holder with a single sting. She lies to others so she can get along with them, and that's what drives people away from her? Well, no matter because Marinette always believed in her and helped her make friends, even though Zoey never proved she was a good person aside from one interaction where she was civilized (much like Regina above). Oh, she doesn't have confidence in herself, like she didn't just masterfully utilize the Bee Miraculous on her first time ever and made both Adrien and Plagg open their mouths in awe. Oh, and she has a crush on Marinette that will never be reciprocated, LIKE THAT WAS EVER PART OF HER CHARACTER PRIOR TO THIS OR WILL COME TO MATTER I ANY SORT OF WAY IN THE FUTURE!!! Face it, Zoey is a Mary Sue through and through. Her flaws don't interfere negatively in her narrative, they are there to make her more sympathetic but never hinder her!
Exactly! Mary Sue doesn't just mean "Character with no flaws"... Even when a character like this HAS flaws it's never addressed in any meaningful way in the narrative, or they're absolved of their mistakes one way or another.
Bob Ross' contracts is hella illegal. The whole "Marinette has anxiety" was treated as a joke and reason to laugh at her for four seasons. Now they want to use it for drama. Ugh. I remember the fandom realizing Marinette has anxiety/PTSD as early as season two.
This is probably the show really likes Treats mental health as a joke Stockslm Syndrome relationships ( How is this okay!!!? Like your teaching kids how to be a stalker )
I don’t understand why Gabriel wants to be a better father before he dies but refuses to let Adrien date who he wants. Him flipping between the 2 is weird
Yeah, that was weird..like I get it in chat blanc....Gabe was trying to get Marinette akumatized by forcing a breakup tp use her to get the miraculouses....it wasn't personaly and he could just pretend to 'see the light' and agree to let it happen if the attack failed. the dude will be a dick to cause akumas and isn't picky about low hanging fruit to piss off because to him its not actually personal...but they also clearly have Gabe clearly LIKE marinette as a person in the show more than any of adien's other friends? like gabe will listen to her and admires her fashion skills and actually seemed understanding in collector towards her when she gave back the book and he agreed not to tell adrien that she took it.... but it feels WEIRD at this point to have im try to force the breakup when he could just akumatized a pissed lila? or any of the people sad adrien is dating someone else? like LILA thinks she's tricked him into thinking lila is a good rolemodel but WE know gabe ISN'T actually fooled and knows lila is a lying liar who lies and never ACTUALLY supports te idea of adrien and lila becuase gabe knows his son is too smart to ACTUALLY consider lila anyway. like all thes how had to explain was gabe was getting worse due to a side affect from using his miraculous teh wrong way and multiple ones over and over...like the dude was clearly having side affects similar to a akuma victim in behavior.
It's really difficult for me to like Zoey because her inclusion seemed forced. The writers literally just say "hey, here's Chloe's replacement! She acts like the redeemed Chloe and is the new Queen Bee holder while we throw every character development Chloe had went through out the window because of personal biases!! :D" I like Chloe, man... she was such an interesting and dynamic character due to the development. So after they butchered her character, the new version of Chloe don't feel like an actual character anymore 😢
03:18 I know you were mostly just saying this as a joke, but the Gabriel dancing scene is actually an important look into how far his character has come/changed. Like, we've NEVER seen him like this... it WAS weird. It WAS uncomfortable. That was the point. It's saying, "yeah, this isn't Gabriel anymore. He's completely gone off the deep end."
IM SO GLAD YOU COVERED THIS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THE NEW SEASON AND WE ALL AGREED IT WAS PURE CHAOS (also its weird to be here 2 minutes early)
S5 is trying to run in shock. Recontextualize all of the humor that the show itself threw at us (farce) as PTSD. PTSD that both completely 'excuses' Marinette's behavior and never actually impacts her outside of humor and 'cute' drama. The smarter thing if they were done with the farce would have been just to stop writing it. Let it simoly be 'Marinette learned not to do those things' and leave it alone. Instead *draaaaammmaaaatttiiicc* while minimizing yet another real world trauma.
I had a problem with The Kwami's choice because it wasn't even supposed to be The Kwami's choice. Marinette at the time was the Guardian of the Miracle Box, so they had to listen to her. They can't just go off on their own and choose new holders, The Guardian is the one to choose.
Bruv a mary sue is not just a character with no flaws but in more explicit terms A character for whom the plot does what ever it can for them to achive a certain goal Meaning a mary sue character is a character to whom the plot bends down backwards for
I went to Paris on my 14th birthday to see my sister. My birthday is in December so it was in Christmas spirits. The Eiffel Tower was lit up like a christmas tree, it flashing/glimmering with lights. And there was a freaking ice skating rink on the Eiffel Tower that I skated on. I don't remember any mess but i definitely had a fun time there :D Highly recommend you go visit, especially around Christmas.
Honestly, I was kind of scared because of the title of the Season 4 video, but I love the fact we can all agree on how this season sucked. There are so many things they did well, but because of prior seasons, it literally doesn't make sense or makes things worse.
So, I didn't entirely come up with this but- I believe Adrien and Felix are both Sentimonsters! Adrien's mom made them with her and her sister's twin rings. It would explain why Felix wanted the rings, the Peacock Miraculous, and why he hates parents who create children only to serve specific plans. It also explains why he was so uncomfortable creating sentimonsters, and why he hates but also pities Adrien. Kagami might ALSO be a sentimonster which would explain the signifigance of Felix helping her to get her family signet ring so that she can't be controlled. (Also maybe that's why she has no Dad???) For Adrien this may be the "mind control" his Dad has over him and why it was important that Nathalie gave an "opposing command" that Adrien can love whomever he wants while she had the ring.
@@Twat_Dirtthey’re probably an english dub only viewer. disney+ doesn’t have the episode ‘Representation’ up yet, so some people haven’t connected the dots yet
Honestly, Gabriel would have probably won if he just used the Snake every time he sends out an akuma to reset, or at least when he goes out. Like in this episode he knows the identities, has a way to get them without anybody finding out... and he doesn't think to use the power to reset to make sure everything goes perfectly?
actually i believe he did try that but since the damage from the cataclysm kept going even when the rest of the world was reset he stopped so that he could try other ideas before his death
looking back on the series, Felix was not really introduced as a villain, he had his own understanding of what was right and wrong, he had issues with Gabriel, and was angered by Adrien's willingness to abide by everyones every word,. While his goals were unclear until now, they were not necessarily evil. Felix is willing to do some bad to do what he believes is good, but is willing to understand when he is wrong, so antihero. Mid season was mostly just about tying up some loose ends and learning more about the world and characters. The show has definitely come a long way since it first started, originally, it had to be strictly what broadcasters considered appropriate for young audiences, meaning they could not do what they did in season 5 for previous season, they had to keep everything extremely subtle. But now, the broadcasters are ok with the show being a little more mature since they see the audience is growing up with the show. No one knows what they will do next, but the seasons do get more and more entertaining .
in fact, felix's goal was to further dilute Adrien's character. It was about presenting the full sentence of the case and at the same time omitting Adrien to preserve the Status Quo.
4:05 GABE FOLLOWED A GRADE 8 GIRL INTO A BATHROOM STALL WHILE INVISIBLE. I REPEAT, GABE FOLLOWED A GRADE 8 GIRL INTO A BATHROOM STALL WHILE INVISIBLE. What a creep
There is no way in hell it hasn’t even been a year since the start of the show. If i’m not mistaken, alya got her miraculous in the summer and therefore all the other miraculous users have only had their miraculous for a few weeks at best. This would also make the order of the show completely crazy.
Honestly, Kagami, Luka and Nathalie carried this season and im sure that why they wrote one of them off (that episodes has a lot of plotholes). im glad they explained why marinette was so obsessed with adrien but it felt more like the writers were trying to excuse marinettes past behaviours (which honestly congratulations to the writers because they did the best they could). I will disagree with one the Zoe bit because in her first couple of appearances, she was a Mary Sue but i think she has slowly yet surely developed out of the label (good job writers)
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian I haven't finished the whole season (i have watched up to ep 22) but Felix only appeared for only like 3 episodes and i personally didnt really like him (or his peacock design but thats another thing). I wish they had set him up more because at one point i was wondering were he went but also stalking Kagami was a interesting decision to say the least (idk my friends likes their dynamic and him so maybe im in the wrong)
@@nevaehhamilton3493 considering they are really only side characters that end up often being pushed a side for other characters (especially luka who was pushed to the point he was outside the show), i think they did their best
The main issue Season 5 presents is the shows continuous expansion hitting a boiling point; a show with a simple premise is good because it allows for creative episodic structures. Usually a show will have a simple premise, maybe introduce a couple of more complicated things to make fans feel like they know these characters better later, however most of the progress of the show is based on simple character designs and progress. For example, ATLA. To be consistent I'll be using ATLA as an example through this whole piece. The characters have nuance, the world has a basic rule structure, however most of their characterization is done through "show not tell". We don't need to know much about Katara's back story other than her brother is Sokka, her mother tragically passed and her dad has been away at war for a long time. She is determined, head strong, a bit impatient, but has a big heart. These characteristcs and back story are simple enough, but because the events of the show keep moving along, we find this simple character who is put into a variety of situations and deals with them based on her main characterisations becomes more nuanced as a result. Miraculous started this out well enough in season 1. - We started with a simple premise and a few world building rules: two teenagers become superheroes. They must keep their identities a secret, which- apart from Paris' protection- is their utmost priority. Episodically they must fight a villain. They have their own personal lives to also manage. Marinette likes Adrien however is flustered around him. Adrien likes Ladybug but they can't date. - We start with basic characterisation. Keep in mind, this is season 1 Marinette and Adrien. -- Marinette is not very confident in herself, but each episode she overcomes her self doubts to try something new or achieve a goal she has set for herself. Sometimes she fails but she learns that's ok. These things include running for class president, talking to Adrien, getting into a video game competition her crush is in to spend time with him, try and get over her nerves to give him a birthday gift- simple sweet things that slowly build her confidence. She is also very caring, wears her heart on her sleeve, is a great designer and is extremely creative. -- Adrien is a dejected teenager who is experiencing his first year of school. He sometimes has his own episodic conflicts, such as in Copycat, or sometimes he is the catalyst for Marinette's goal of the episode. He is intelligent, attractive, down to earth and humble, and he does whatever his dad wants him to. He's quite lonely and sad, but he forgets all of that when he's with his friends or is Chat Noir. As the seasons go on, the worldbuilding continues to add more details that often contradict previous information, characterisation or worldbuilding, and get in the way of future ideas (especially such as having an overarching long-term plot. The main idea of the show should always be thought of before creating individual episodes, the episodes should move to support the main plot. For example, the show should've been Adrien and Marinette slowly move closer to defeating hawkmoth. The two start dating. They defeat hawkmoth. They get to know each other's identity. This is slowly being moved towards, and some things work such as Adrien slowly falling for Marinette instead. But most things are an absolute mess). Some contradicting world building includes: - sentimonster theory is real - Rose has a chronic illness - Introduction of new characters that makes the show more complicated instead of making it smoother, and not utilising the already very full cast (Lila, Felix, Zoe, Luka, Kagami, Marc). Introduction of new characters isn't always bad, however there's definitely a way to do it. For example, Toph in season 2 of ATLA. - Marinette becoming the main holder, then losing the kwamis, then the miraculous getting melted down, then being returned to Marinette, then being given to the individual holders. There is a myriad of reasons wrong with this, but that could honestly be an hour long video essay in itself. - Chloe having a half sister - Being able to akumatise AI and robots, not just humans - so so so many more......... So when the show throws at the audience that "oh yeah Marinette had trauma. That's why she acts this way." It makes no sense. It contradicts previous world building. Firstly, because such a core event to characterise Marinette's behaviour should be introduced RIGHT AT THE START of the show, or should be heavily alluded to having happened if it was repressed. It also should've been introduced within the first 3 seasons. Katara is stubborn, head strong and unforgiving to the fire nation because of what happened to her mother. We learn that from the start. There is nothing in the show that present Marinette's stuttering characteristics as being linked to this trauma. If anything, Marinette's stuttering right in stoneheart was simply linked to being a teenager and having a crush. In season 1, SHE'S NOT a crazy stalker. She's just a dreamy teenager who has a massive crush and tries her best to catch Adrien's attention. She and the entire cast also never ever ever allude to her ever having a crush on Kim, or allude to the previous events that had happened. The only thing the show ever alluded to happening before Stoneheart was Marinette getting bullied by Chloe. Marinette getting shakes because of what happened with Kim, is also not something Marinette experiences that makes it hard for her to talk to Adrien. The skaes were episodic. Marinette struggles to talk to Adrien because she gets flustered easily. And we KNOW this because when she first falls for Adrien, she goes "why am I stammering?" Tiki says "I think I know why." The reason is because Marinette has a crush, and Marinette knows this. Marinette does not go "I have a crush and I'm stammering? Oh no it's going to be so difficult for me to talk to him, I always get like this when I have a crush." Marinette does not stutter and get the shakes and stalk Adrien because of what happened with Kim. She only gets the shakes episodically, and even SHE seems surprised by her physical reaction to everyhting because it had NEVER been an issue before. That's completely episodic. It's not a characterisation thing- it's Astruc throwing a small thing that opens up more questions than answers, to answer a question that was never asked. AND HE DOES IT ALL THE TIME. HE CONSTANTLY USES CHARACTERS not to make a good show, but to SLAP BACK IN THE FACE OF "haters" aka, people with some GENUINE CRITIQUES OF THE SHOW. "Oh, you wanna call Marinette a stalker? Here, she has trauma! Now you can't fight with that logic because you'll look like a biggot." SHE CAN HAVE TRAUMA AND STILL BE A CREEPY STALKER. Most people with trauma like that DONT stalk their crushes. I really hate Astruc. Why do people still watch this show for enjoyment? I watch this show for the simple fact I have been waiting since 2016 for a reveal. It's been too long. But I'm mostly hate watching. Go watch ATLA, Teen Titans, Arcane, Adventure Time- there are so many better shows. This one gives me so much nausea and pain. Edit: No offense dude, but Marinette is a type of Mary-Sue. She's not perfect, however the world and narrative is made the way it is to serve her character, instead of her character being made to serve the overall narrative. She is also ALWAYS absolved of responsibility for the absolute SHIT she does. She can be so much meaner than Chloe and Lila sometimes, and the show rewards her for it.
Personally they should NOT have introduced more than the main two heroes until AFTER Hawkmoth's defeat. Which personally, they should have made Gabriel LOSE his arm after being hit by the Black Cat miraculous. *Has it cut off and REPLACED with a robot arm would have been COOL. Using the gloves and new outfit to HIDE this prosthetic* Then have him regret his actions, wanting to make up to his past missdeeds by financing a secret base being constructed. As well as pay for trips for his son and Marinette, etc. Oh and Chloe... Either have her leave paris after Zoe came into the show, having LILA take her place. Or have her betray Hawkmoth during that Miraculous Queen event since he DID give her the power to CONTROL miraculous holders, controlling Mayura would have made SENSE.
The fact Zoe came out as gay and Marinette being so chill about it was strange to me, if it had been a boy she would have totally been freaking out trying to not be rude but getting out of the awkward situation
crying at you calling Emotion lame lol, it’s probably one of my favourite episodes in the season! it definitely hits different once you’ve seen Representation, but i’m also just really fascinated by Felix’s character. loved the cosplay callout lmaooo
12:02 Felix and Adrien are sentimonsters and Gabriel is controlling Adrien with the ring, that's why Felix stole one of the rings and then Gabriel took the other ring from Adrien's dead mom, Felix was crying when he released the sentimonster from existents because he sees them as family and feels like he is killing them.
Zoe is fine. But Marinette?! Ohh. Considering the season 5 finale. I really want her to lose her miraculous and have Adrien break up with her. She was such a idiot!
Samee, I know people don't like her but she was always an interesting character personally who I relate to when it comes to societal expectations and loved her scenes in 'Adoration'. (And people are just salty)
oddly enough, Su-Han did tell them the miraculous could only be entrusted to adults and planned to give the miraculous to adults once he took them back. When they got another chance to give up being heroes, they took it because they knew it was never their right to keep the jewels, it was a responsibility they agreed to carry, but that responsibility coudl be given to someone else.
I spent two weeks in Paris and three days in Lyon and if I were to ever go again I'd flip it. Lyon is so incredible and kinda underrated. Way cooler modern art scene mixed in with the ancient streets and buildings. Great history and food
To be fair a Mary Sue doesn't have no character flaws they're just showing as unrealistically competent in having few character flaw, plus the character flaws you named out for Zoe like her playing second fiddle to Chloe basically being controlled by her and her dealing with unrequited love are not her faults those are two things completely out of our control
I'm not French, but I did visit France a lot when I was living in the UK (I'm Australian). I actually really liked Paris, but it was probably because I knew what I wanted to visit when I went (The Louvre, Museum of Modern Art, Montmarte, the Catacombs, etc). I wouldn't say it sucks, but I do think it's a victim of it's own fame because people go there with too high expectations only to realise that it's really like every big touristy city. It's worth checking out because there is a lot to see and do there. Just remember to keep your wits about you, be polite to the locals (because people do live and work there), learn a few basic French phrases, and enjoy your visit.
Fun Fact: The true meaning of a Mary or Marty Sue is that the writing of the character is forced. A character can have flaws if the flaws are forced. Zoey is a Mary Sue because everything she does is forced by the writers because its kind of obvious that the writers are trying to replace Chloe with Zoey. The main example is that Zoey has the bee miraculous even tho Chloe just wanted to save her parents. The most popular version or a Mary or Marty Sue is that their life is perfect and they have no flaws. This soon became the stereotype of a Mary or Marty Sue.
Yesss this! It's really difficult for me to like Zoey because her inclusion seemed forced. The writers literally just say "hey, here's Chloe's replacement! She acts like the redeemed Chloe and is the new Queen Bee holder while we throw every character development Chloe had went through out the window because of personal biases!! :D"
Between Zoe being gay as heck and Scarabella hinting that her and Kitty Noire just being friends is a situation that was up in the air for change, I kind of wish the show had committed to the change in heroes for longer, and had them not fall into the same traps Adrien and Marinette did, and just form a healthy romantic relationship both as heroes and in their regular lives too, just seperately. (It would have required an Alya/Nino breakup in Rocketear but hey, dude totally fucked it up and their relationship never felt all that.. real... so yeah that just works.)
@@stake-harley Yeah, initially they were just the spare minor side character friends of the main couple but as their role got larger the forcedness of that being the reason for the pairing just got more and more vivid.
Absolutely not, if I had to look at Kitty‘s horrible costume for more than 2 episodes I would have been diagnosed with eye cancer. And Alya and Nino probably have the healthiest relationship in the entire show, meanwhile you want to force a breakup just for the queerbait character to actually get a gf? Lol.
French here, I spend half year in Paris, the other in Bordeaux. Paris can still be enjoyable if you know some little things: 1st come before or after the Olympics games, during it it will a nightmare and very expensive. Always keep your things and bags close to you everywhere, be aware of the tourists scams. If you are under 26 and a person living in the EU most of museums are free for you. Book your tickets online for a museum or show; it will save you time in the queue. There is also a lot of forum, subreddit, or youtube videos with advice and tricks to visit the city. Otherwise France is not limited to Paris, and the country have a lot to offer. You can find a large diversity of landscapes (mountains, beach, prairie, volcano....), gastronomy with each region having their specialties depending if you like meat or fish olive oil or butter you will certainly find something you like, Castles in Loire or little medieval villages everywhere. Each part of the country has its own culture, history, gastronomy.... Depending what you are looking for, I'm sure you will find something you like and meet interesting people!
10:40 it wouldn't be mind control from the ring because adrien doesnt wear his alliance ring, he took it off immediately after his dad gave it to him, if he was wearing it then gabriel wouldve found out that adrien was cat noir via the same tracking stuff that let him find out when zoe and alya had the miraculous
Hard disagree on Dirision. It recontextualizes the issue so much that the rest of the show doesn’t even make sense anymore. If that was always what happened in the past why the hell would marinette have ever trusted chloe with a miraculous? Even if Chloe would’ve been the best choice at the time I feel like marinette would’ve still refused due to hating Chloe so much for that that stunt. Same with Kim; why would she even think to give superpowers to two people who did something so evil to her? Season 1-2 Chloe was a mean girl sure but she was never so outwardly evil. I mean can any of us really say that they could see S1&2 Chloe giving that villain speech about power and people only being toys to her? There’s a pretty big difference between school bully mean and anime psychopath.
9:09 There's variations to a mary sue. But all of it has one thing in common, they are used as wish-fullfilment characters and it is so easy for them to reach their goals that seems way too convenient. You simply can't enjoy these characters because they're so boring to watch.
As a french person Paris is not the best place to start if you want to visit our country The first question you have to ask yourself is "what type of vacation I love the most?" Here we literally have everything here. Hot afternoon to the beach drinking white wine? South of France is made for you ! You love the mountains ? We have multiple!! And all different! Also what food do you prefer ? We have everything too try to see what region of France suit you the best and start here I really love the west of France called Bretagne it's the only Celtic part of our county and it's full of butter and beautiful forest and the sea So yep to come in France try to know what type of vacation you want and we probably have it lol But Paris is not THAT bad And in some place in the city it's like you're not even in France anymore like in the big south Asian arrondissement Also there is a lot of pretty museum that is super cheap So yep depend on what you want to do
Nice is a very touristy and popular town to vist in France. Nîmes is also popular due to being close to Italy and having a lot of Roman history including its own coliseum. There are also a lot of châteaux around France that you can visit.
Could you talk about SheZow, it was a short lived series on the Hub Network that air back in 2012. A tiny fandom definitely still exists, but I’ve never seen anyone make a deep dive or retrospective about it.
At this point just scrap all 5 seasons of Miraculous Ladybug and start over. And this time give Adrien an actual personality and Marionette one that doesn’t revolve around being obsessed with him.
I think when people say Zoe is a Mary sue is because her problems aren't really flaws, they're problems inflicted externally to her other than being an innate flaw within her personality. She's too perfect without much depth, and the only character flaw many can note is 'being too forgiving' which often feels like a lazy flaw as it makes her into almost a doormat. I totally agree people need to stop throwing mary sue around, it's lazy criticism without delving into the reason characters can feel flat, but I guess the point is that playing second to Chloe and unrequited love is a situation rather than of her personality; and even the lack of confidence is associated with that 'too forgiving' flaw that many characters get when the creator is too scared to give a flaw that may make people dislike them. It absolutely is a flaw, but I wouldn't be surprised if people have gotten quite tired of it as it can come off as self-righteous. The whole Zoe and Chloe sitch fascinates me greatly, I just want to start that conversation to see other perspectives :D I think it's often exasperated by the fact it feels like it came from a child-ish man having a tantrum the fanbase liked one character more than the main protag for a time aha
Honestly I've had Issues with this show since S3. I was upset how they handled Chloe, Felix, Zoe, but what really makes me made is the main focus of this show. This so called superhero show is simply a love drama. The only thing that matters is M & A getting together in the end and the rest can make zero sense as long as it happens. I am really hoping that S6 takes this series in a new direction now that were finally done with Gabriels sob story. My hope is that Marinettes endless good luck will finally come to an end and Lila will crush her. To be honest after season 3 I was rooting for her to lose, the S4 finale actually got me excited for a change. The reason I am excited for Lila is because unlike Gab she is a terrifying villain who can easily manipulate and out whit just about anyone, I can't wait to see what kind of horror she's going to unleash upon Paris.
My problem with season 5 is how they made Chloe the Mayor of Paris, and have her continue to do more intense things to Marinette. She’s not that important. They should’ve had Lila do all those things herself. Another problem I have is Adrien never finding out that his dad is Monarch in the show, but they do it in the movie! That is waste!
Honestly, I think Paris is a beautiful city (as an American tourist). Yes, there are some parts of the city that are dirty, but in my opinion it is typically much cleaner than the US, there are so many interesting events (like if you are invested in music, the arts, etc) and a lot of neighborhoods that are very ethnically oriented that make each part seem "French" but very distinct and unique. But there are really nice "wine trails" , art tours, and stuff that makes things fun, and helps that all the food is utterly delicious.
0:42 as an Italian guy who lives in Paris, it, just like any other place, has its flaws and just like any city it is a bit dirty, and some very dumb politicians have caused some very dumb consequences, but when you know what to do and how to behave it is just a spectacular city. Just don’t fall for the (many!) cash grabs and touristy places, don’t expect the cleanest and most proper city, and prepare yourself (depending on where you go) to see a LOT of riots and movements etc. Just kinda imagine it like New York, which is basically the most European American city: LOTS of issues, very expensive, has a very exclusive center, but also a charm that makes it one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Don’t romanticise it, don’t only look at the bad things, and know that both the dreamy romanticisised cheesiness and the absolute dumpsterfire hellscape are Paris, and somewhere in between is the actual heart of the city and of its (admittedly not always friendly) inhapitants ^^ Hope this helped, and for any question regarding it feel free to ask
honestly it feels like the show actively tries to sabotage any nuance chloe has as well as gabriel...like they try to shoehorn a bullshit sort of redeption he didnt earnbecause they undercut every nuanced moment he had by making him agressively more evil even if it made no sense character wise. they never point out maybe he wasnt that evil but was getting twisted due to his miraculous affecting his mind like they implied miraculouses could do if not handled properly...even more when he has signs that echo his akumas with agresion, hyper fixation and acting out of characterly agressive eve when it makes no sense. and despite how they had gabe clearly PLAN to sabitage choe by corning her on a rooftop alone, taking her parents hostage, using her insecurity, cutting of her ability to signal for help, and bringing out pollen that he would have kept anyway if she said no...and how it would make sense that chloe would rely on stuff she knew(how to be bad) to distract herself since she felt like she burned the bridge she hhad painstakingly made yo be good...no one adresses how thats unfair or how it actually parallels how both adrien ANDmarinette relied on aspects that were familar to cope and distract themselves from their problems(the crush on adrien and ladybug were basically coping mechanisms in season 4 and 5). the trauma with marinette I don't like....it makes a bunch of the previous episodes worse AND make no sense because we would have seen it triggred or affect how she treated people like kim or the water episode or other things...especially when the rest of the class has been with mari and chloe as well and would have known. Adrien and chloe alkready stopped being friends and hadnt approached being friends again at all so what was the point of rehashing that again? and it feels like its trying to excuse the way mari acted which is unfair and makes no sense when they show us why adrien/chat acts the way he does with love but also when he does to far and actually makes her upset or does something wrong he immediately gets called out on it and he learns and it doesnt make excuses. but the fact lots fo crushes ARE kindof shallow where we have seen mari kindof build up a bit of a version of adrien in her head. and how she wasnt REALLY treating him/seeing him properly as a friend since she was mostly motiaved about her crush. I LIKED that aspect...lots fo kids get intebse about crushes and esecially now it can be difficult to tell whats normal behaviour sometimes...eespecially since marinette is a girl who is generally a good person and how her friends just saw it as cute and romantic and just her compensating for her nerves...but it also shows us why it can be easy to fall down the hole of justifying to yourself and not seeing your OWN issues/behaviours. and how it can be even easier for girls who people sometimes forget CAN also be kindof creepy....and with how its so much easier to gather info now it could be a good lesson...especially since mari's core issues hadnt really been adressed properly when dealing with adrien. heck mari had even mentioned how it can be easier to just crush and not actualy do anything about it becuase its safer and doesnt put you at risk. and how she would say things like adrien is perfect or that adrien doesnt have to lie like she does or she tends to get distracted by the version of the person in her head even when it doesnt quite line up with the actual person..both with chat and adrien. but she also has dismissed people tellng her just to talk to him normally or makes teh elborate plans herself . the girl LITERALLY sniffed his pillow, followed him to hongcong, went through his trash to get that poem. like they are trying to explain why she is so obseesive toward adrien and not luka when she also liked luka...but mari had a bad first impression with adrien which would understandably make her nervious...sos he overcompensated by info gathering which had her infected with the model impression fo adrein mixed with her rose tinted glasses due to her crush already..... I mean they could have pointed out that mari has some insecurities due to adrien being rich which could connect to how she was bullied by chloe...and how she would try to justify holding back...but it also just feels off when she has strait up said she likes knowing where he is and that she does stuff that girls CAN do when they have a celebrity crush. it could even use how marinette and adrien's issues are the opposites of each other. he was too open about his feelings...she was too reserved with hers. he discovers that even if he doesnt expect her to like him back...expressing his feelings still could make her uncomfortable and that he should hold himself back in that regard. while mari needs to learn that crossing lines isnt okay even if he doesnt know about them. she thought it was fine because he wasnt aware and she wasnt actively bothering him like lila or chloe and that it was just personal feelings. and she thought knowing things/gathering info about him was her getting to know him properly...but eve when they tried to have her say 'do i really know him' it felt like she was just trying to find a reason to avoid going for it ather than her actually realizing she doesnt know him as well as she thought...even more that from adrien's perspective he HAS actually been more real with her than anyone else. heck it could even point out the contrast that for adrien friend is impoortant factor...he sees ladybug ass a great friend AND he loves her. when he calls mari a friend he isnt really dismissing that he could fall for her....while to contrat mari has the 'friendzone' idea due to being raised in normal society and hasnt REALLY been fully absorbing adrien's friendship properly because she had seen him as a romantic option so soon. adrien could see mari and ladybug pretty accurately even when she acted weird around him at times while mari who has all the aspects to see him well she tends to be distracted by the boxes she had out them in. them making just about trauma feels WEIRD
5:48 Hey, don't come after Kagami! She's decent 6:45 But that has been going on 4 or 5 seasons and like several years (8 years, I think?). Marinette's stalking behavior doesn't prove much or feel justified, it is still weird and creepy. 10:51 I hate when shows just leaves us hanging, and this show will never stop doing so. It's like they're saying, "If you want this to happen, you got to wait for it to happen" or "We'll just keep you all guessing and praying so that we can get this show running" 12:29 Well, you gotta give him a little credit. When he was dancing with Marinette, she was expressing her love for Adrien and Felix understands that. So he kept Marinette alive so Adrien and Kagami can be with her but when she disappears, Felix felt guilty and so, he restarts everything and gave up the Peacock Miraculous
French person here! Paris doesn't suck, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you're not interested in the capital's mainstream monuments and museums, or if you want to chit-chat with the locals (they have no time for that). The real question you should ask yourself is why you wish to visit France in the first place. What do you want to see? What do you want to experience? There are a lot of different landscapes in France (big cities, countryside villages, sea/ocean, mountains, castle areas), so instead of asking us about a city you should go to, you should first agree on the kind of vacations you desire. Are you more into hiking? Medieval history? Renaissance history? Museums? Gardens? Famous buildings? A specific climate? A type of food? What about your budget and your transport options while in France and the duration of your stay? The time of the year? Beware however that while touristic areas do offer some guidance in English, the rest of France doesn't excel in that regard so I recommend you learn some basic French greetings to avoid having people running away from you in fear when you attempt to ask for directions.
Hey some one who ACTAULLY has ptsd here NO the portayal is HORRIBLE. Therapists tell you to NOT continue doing your harmful behavoir after you get the diagnosis and infact tell you to find other methods.

I saw "Revolution" this morning... And I'm disappointed of how they written Chloe as (ever since the season 3 finale) ... Even though she deserves and got some comeuppance, her fate is kind of harsh to a degree... She really lost EVERYTHING and EVERYONE and she's all alone at this point... Her mother will make her life much WORSE... and NO ONE may be able to help her... She deserves BETTER... for her fans' sake. and they deserve better... I miss her as Queen Bee. She had so much potential... In conclusion, season 5 is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous and so is Thomas... Miraculous would be better with someone who can write Chloe (& others) better... I hope it's not the last we see of her. She's done dirty by Monarch/Tomoe/LIEla and she deserves justice... I hope she returns as a humble, better person and she learns her actions lead to consequences. Only time will tell. Here's to season 6...
It's a dumpster fire of a finale. So many unexplained plotholes. One of the MAIN PROTAGONISTS isn't even there, but they bring in random guest stars from the movies?!?! What?!?! And now MARINETTE is lying to Adrien! Even beyond the grave, that disgusting vile abuser Agreste is controlling his son. Manipulating what he knows and doesn't know. Not a good pay off. Not at all. I am _not_ a happy bunny.
The audible cackle I let out at the end when you said you had hope for the season 5 finale- 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 I don't think you'll like it. Just brace yourself.
We have to remember that they’re canonically 14. They’re gonna make dumb decisions and their motivations are weird (like getting rid of controlling adults lol)
tbh. Having 2 teenagers to protect Paris/the world is kinda unfair. They're being robbed of having a normal childhood, so I would also be extremely happy if I finally got the heavy pressure taken off my shoulders.
Well Adrian is already being robbed of that.
Trust me when I say by chat blanc and onwards, Marinette lost all chances of keeping a normal childhood
Just like Power Rangers, sadly the subject isn't touched

oddly enough, Su-Han did tell them the miraculous could only be entrusted to adults and planned to give the miraculous to adults once he took them back.
Yep!
Fr
Ah, Astruc poorly retconning something to address fan backlash ending up being a cop out instead of solving the issue.
Nothing out of character for him.
@@TwilightWolf032Yeah I normally love Negative Legend but this is bad writing
It also felt like a retcon of Kim's behaviour. In the beginning, he was a dumb but sensitive douchebag, but later matured a but and was just the fun, meathead of the group. But in Derision he turns into his season 1 self and then back to his current self at thw end of the episode. Its a mess
Honestly Marinette having repressed ptsd feels like a cop out. No indications of it was ever implied, especially with her interactions with Kim which were pretty normal in previous seasons. This was clearly just written for this season to justify her stalker tendencies after the show got backlash for it.
This exactly.
And tbh it also feels like a reason to make Chloe so irredeemably evil that viewers cant root for a redemption arc for her anymore.
This! Exactly!
Additionally, trauma isn't character development. It's a lazy writing excuse.

Can confirm, Lyon is super super beautiful ❤
Now that’s on the places people should visit list! 🌟
I confirm Lyon is a great city to visit
From what i know it is a pretty good city ( I have been there once only it was a couple years ago)
I would have suggested Lyons too!
@@joeljohansson3615When I saw Derision. I was like. This episode is so bad!!!!
Like these people saying "She has a reason!"
1. This is barely a reason
They liked The Battle of the Miraculous, though. And usually people think it's the worse one out of the two.
Nah this guy seems to like any bad writing i was shook when i liked Derision
@@ardadeluxe One of the biggest reason peoples hate that episode is how much inconsistency it cause. I think he don't know inconsistencies Derrision cause. He say "Turns out you can akumatize an A.I" in the video. I doubt he know previous seasons well. And I guess he already hate Chloe, so there are no reason for him to hate.
I can't find any other explanation for why he didn't say "This episode is one of the worst episode in the entrie show".
The finale was soooooooo disappointing
Hold up I thought everyone loved the finale?? Can someone explain what was so bad pls??
Marinette‘s „trauma“ is completely bs!! It’s just an excuse from the writers for her to be a creepy stalker who does unhealthy & illegal things! It came out of nowhere & you can’t tell me the writers thought about that from season 1 on. It’s also another excuse to ruin Cloe‘s character development from season 2, because Thomas really hates this fictional 14-year old girl for some reason. -.-
Exactly!
@@muundesire3736 Yeah, he also put his self-insert in one of the offical episodes.
I NEED.
The new movie cough cough
@@_helvetixaexactly. Like the movie but make it a show so it's bingable.
Don't worry guys. I'll rewrite all of the show. I'll keep mostly everything that wasn't problematic and change everything else
I so wish Luka got the cat miraculous instead of Zoe in that one trashy episode 😭
Honestly either Luka or Kagami.
I was hoping her design would be good, but it was trash XD
I respectfully wanna disagree with anyone who wants to excuse Marinette after watching derision. The episode was made AFTER everything's she's done felt like a a last minute thing to justify her actions. If that episode was made beforehand or added in an earlier season it would have been understandable. But by now it's S5 and Thomas probably saw people finally stating that Marinette was a protagonist with flaws. So to me, marinette is still unjustified for stalking and stealing from Adrien. Again tho, you're valid for your opinions but I'm just saying😅
To me it should have just stayed that she is a crushed obsessed girl. Like I feel like a background tragic reason story was so unecessary
DUDE THIS IS REASON NOT EXUSE🤦♂️
@@Chris-x7m7nit's not a good one, that was an ass-pull.
I agree I find Zoe cringe
@@Vocal0idSupermacy_gumimiku so know all the characters are 16 too
French person here !
Marinette's trauma is honestly bs! Trauma shouldn't make someone a stalker! Marinette should've just gotten therapy!
And honestly is still bs since she never did that with luka when they were dating
I guess it could’ve been explained if they actually made Marinette take accountability for her actions and if that plot didn’t came out of nowhere. Like you can’t tell me they thought about that before Season 5.
I agree I blame writer
THANK YOU!!
this guy knows whats up! i know shes been though so much but that doesn’t mean she has to stalk someone and invade their privacy because that completely contradicts of what shes supposed to do as ladybug; isnt she’s supposed to protect people from harm and show them hope when literally she invades her crush’s privacy, breaking and entering adrien’s house for like 2 times when she was ladybug and literally FOLLOWED HIM ALL THE WAY TO ANOTHER COUNTRY, BROKE INTO A AIRPORT JUST TO KISS HIM AND LITERALLY EXCLUDES KAGAMI FOR NO REASON JUST BECAUSE BRO IS CLOSE WITH ADRIEN, like give the guy a break and go seek some help
Season 1: a whatever season. It was just the same thing every episode but to be fair to Zagtoon, it was the first season of a show that had a terrible production history
Season 2: The plot thickens. There were some questionable writing choices here and there but compared to the later seasons, this is the best the show has ever been
Season 3: really good until the FRICKING ENDING OH MY FRICKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miraculous is really good at dangling the promise of a good show in front of you to keep you watching
Season 1: A nice fun introductory season, sets up the world and introduces the characters well enough
Season 2: Dawdles a bit too much, not as fun as season 1 but has a great (but admittedly 'plot armoury') finale
Season 3: Underrated, has some of the best episodes like Chat Blanc, Oblivio and fun ones like Gamer 2.0.
Sorry but „began to restore my faith“?😂 The first episode was already complete shit, everyone there is such a smooth brain
I actually like Mana. And I ship her with Regina.
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian Whether you like her or not doesn't change the fact that she is, indeed, a Mary Sue.
i aint reading all that but i agree with you👍 or no, no i dont, based on how most people will reply
@@lovediedin2009 Just read the first two paragraphs and the last two. The middle is just me using more examples for the sake of clarity.
This is probably the show really likes
Treats mental health as a joke
Stockslm Syndrome relationships ( How is this okay!!!? Like your teaching kids how to be a stalker )
I don’t understand why Gabriel wants to be a better father before he dies but refuses to let Adrien date who he wants. Him flipping between the 2 is weird
My best guess the Cataclysm is rotting his heart and brain making him flip flop constantly.
I like Chloe, man... she was such an interesting and dynamic character due to the development. So after they butchered her character, the new version of Chloe don't feel like an actual character anymore 😢
Chloe deserves to be part of a better show.

Bruv a mary sue is not just a character with no flaws but in more explicit terms
A character for whom the plot does what ever it can for them to achive a certain goal
Meaning a mary sue character is a character to whom the plot bends down backwards for

So, I didn't entirely come up with this but-
I believe Adrien and Felix are both Sentimonsters!
(Also maybe that's why she has no Dad???)
For Adrien this may be the "mind control" his Dad has over him and why it was important that Nathalie gave an "opposing command" that Adrien can love whomever he wants while she had the ring.
That was already confirmed to be true.
Oh wow, definitely a new discovery!/src

I refuse to believe that you actually watched season 5. Can’t blame ya, but maybe you should have before commenting
looking back on the series, Felix was not really introduced as a villain, he had his own understanding of what was right and wrong, he had issues with Gabriel, and was angered by Adrien's willingness to abide by everyones every word,.

Felix carried the season as well!
Yes

Some contradicting world building includes:
- sentimonster theory is real
- Rose has a chronic illness
- Introduction of new characters that makes the show more complicated instead of making it smoother, and not utilising the already very full cast (Lila, Felix, Zoe, Luka, Kagami, Marc).
- Chloe having a half sister
- Being able to akumatise AI and robots, not just humans
- so so so many more.........
Oh my gosh you worded everything so well 😭
I appreciate this
@@beryldavid7339I commend thee
"I hope the ending is gonna be fine"
Oh honey you've got a big storm coming *snaps*
Personally they should NOT have introduced more than the main two heroes until AFTER Hawkmoth's defeat.
Which personally, they should have made Gabriel LOSE his arm after being hit by the Black Cat miraculous. *Has it cut off and REPLACED with a robot arm would have been COOL. Using the gloves and new outfit to HIDE this prosthetic*
Then have him regret his actions, wanting to make up to his past missdeeds by financing a secret base being constructed.
Haven't watched any of the recent seasons, so it feels like I walked into a fever dream. What is HAPPENING?!
crying at you calling Emotion lame lol, it’s probably one of my favourite episodes in the season! it definitely hits different once you’ve seen Representation, but i’m also just really fascinated by Felix’s character. loved the cosplay callout lmaooo
If people are calling Zoe a Mary Sue, it's not because is one. It's because she feels like a fanfiction OC.
Honestly my favorite part of this season was Zoe she was the only one I didn't feel like stabbing, punching or just getting frustrated by
Really? Because she's only here as a set piece until she is needed so Thomas can use her to make Chloe look bad.
Oh wow, she makes me wanna do all of that 😭
Zoe is fine. But Marinette?! Ohh. Considering the season 5 finale. I really want her to lose her miraculous and have Adrien break up with her. She was such a idiot!
@@ajstudios9210 Tbf, Chloe would still appear bad bcz of Sabrina and literally everyone even if Zoe isn't there.
When they got another chance to give up being heroes, they took it because they knew it was never their right to keep the jewels, it was a responsibility they agreed to carry, but that responsibility coudl be given to someone else.
I actually really liked the debubante ball episode. I liked what they did with Felix. He feels more like an anti hero than a villain.
I spent two weeks in Paris and three days in Lyon and if I were to ever go again I'd flip it. Lyon is so incredible and kinda underrated. Way cooler modern art scene mixed in with the ancient streets and buildings. Great history and food
"After Adrien was already supposed to be the new kid..."
Welp that role first got supplanted by Lila and then Zoey
wait..... shouldn't Marinette have lost her memories after losing the Ladybug Miraculous because she WAS the guardian??
You lose your memories after renouncing the Miracle Box and appointing someone else as the Guardian of that Miracle Box, not by losing a Miraculous.
It feels like from watching these Ladybug videos that this show was just in a time loop for 4 seasons until this one.
Hey! I am French and just came back from Paris. It’s really pretty chill and I think media tends to exaggerate the city’s « degraded state »
To be fair a Mary Sue doesn't have no character flaws they're just showing as unrealistically competent in having few character flaw, plus the character flaws you named out for Zoe like her playing second fiddle to Chloe basically being controlled by her and her dealing with unrequited love are not her faults those are two things completely out of our control
Dude Gabriel dancing had me wheezing almost hyperventilating laughing laugh what even🤣🤣 and then they proceeded to make a call back with Felix
Honestly after ladybug lost the all of the miraculous I thought season 5 would be her getting one back every episode. But boy was I wrong.
Felix’s plan literally just sounds like the Warriors of Hope’s plan from Ultra Despair Girls. Except, you know, without actual consequences.
Felix and Adrian are sentimonsters Felix wanted them all to be free because they were all being controlled And could not do what they want
I honestly like how Felix became a good guy just wish he got my screen time
I'm not French, but I did visit France a lot when I was living in the UK (I'm Australian).
Zoe is basically a wasp. Colour scheme and name.
Wasps take over bee nests and kill bee's. Very fitting.
@@Markus2E5I6 YOOOO that's so true though! Good eye
She’s not a Mary Sue, she’s a Poochie. There’s a difference.
OMG TARDIS AS A DOOR . I NEED THIS NOW.
Alya/Nino just felt..too forced imo
@@stake-harley Yeah, initially they were just the spare minor side character friends of the main couple but as their role got larger the forcedness of that being the reason for the pairing just got more and more vivid.
Absolutely not, if I had to look at Kitty‘s horrible costume for more than 2 episodes I would have been diagnosed with eye cancer. And Alya and Nino probably have the healthiest relationship in the entire show, meanwhile you want to force a breakup just for the queerbait character to actually get a gf? Lol.
@@taki7546 nice stan logic.

Miraculous got a collab with Just dance yesterday
I watched your all videos and thank you creating videos because it really bright my day.
As a french person Paris is not the best place to start if you want to visit our country
The first question you have to ask yourself is "what type of vacation I love the most?"
Here we literally have everything here. Hot afternoon to the beach drinking white wine? South of France is made for you ! You love the mountains ? We have multiple!! And all different!
Also what food do you prefer ? We have everything too try to see what region of France suit you the best and start here
I really love the west of France called Bretagne it's the only Celtic part of our county and it's full of butter and beautiful forest and the sea
So yep to come in France try to know what type of vacation you want and we probably have it lol
But Paris is not THAT bad
And in some place in the city it's like you're not even in France anymore like in the big south Asian arrondissement
Also there is a lot of pretty museum that is super cheap
So yep depend on what you want to do
I can't wait for in 5-10 years when someone rewrites this show & we get actual fleshed out MC's & the creators listen to the fans
Nice is a very touristy and popular town to vist in France. Nîmes is also popular due to being close to Italy and having a lot of Roman history including its own coliseum. There are also a lot of châteaux around France that you can visit.
8:50 we got another one of the alphabet Mafia
I hate that Mari gave up all the miraculous to the “The rightful owners”.
Literally everyone that loves this show, hates watching this show.
I’m telling you
Could you talk about SheZow, it was a short lived series on the Hub Network that air back in 2012.
I dont think you understand Felix's intentions. He's gone through some really bad abuse which will be shown in a future episode of season 5.
I mean, you can’t blame them for not understanding Felix’s intentions because of information from a FUTURE EPISODE that they haven’t gotten to.
@@cartoonishidealism582 I'm not blaming them. I'm just saying they don't understand why yet.
4:53 her slow look of realization 💀
5:40 ngl compared to how everyone else in the show is luka moved up high in character standards 😂
Don’t romanticise it, don’t only look at the bad things, and know that both the dreamy romanticisised cheesiness and the absolute dumpsterfire hellscape are Paris, and somewhere in between is the actual heart of the city and of its (admittedly not always friendly) inhapitants ^^
Hope this helped, and for any question regarding it feel free to ask
I just love how crazy we are about this show
Cant wait for you to watch the 6 last episodes 😊
honestly it feels like the show actively tries to sabotage any nuance chloe has as well as gabriel...like they try to shoehorn a bullshit sort of redeption he didnt earnbecause they undercut every nuanced moment he had by making him agressively more evil even if it made no sense character wise. they never point out maybe he wasnt that evil but was getting twisted due to his miraculous affecting his mind like they implied miraculouses could do if not handled properly...even more when he has signs that echo his akumas with agresion, hyper fixation and acting out of characterly agressive eve when it makes no sense.
and despite how they had gabe clearly PLAN to sabitage choe by corning her on a rooftop alone, taking her parents hostage, using her insecurity, cutting of her ability to signal for help, and bringing out pollen that he would have kept anyway if she said no...and how it would make sense that chloe would rely on stuff she knew(how to be bad) to distract herself since she felt like she burned the bridge she hhad painstakingly made yo be good...no one adresses how thats unfair or how it actually parallels how both adrien ANDmarinette relied on aspects that were familar to cope and distract themselves from their problems(the crush on adrien and ladybug were basically coping mechanisms in season 4 and 5).
the trauma with marinette I don't like....it makes a bunch of the previous episodes worse AND make no sense because we would have seen it triggred or affect how she treated people like kim or the water episode or other things...especially when the rest of the class has been with mari and chloe as well and would have known.
She's decent
6:45 But that has been going on 4 or 5 seasons and like several years (8 years, I think?). Marinette's stalking behavior doesn't prove much or feel justified, it is still weird and creepy.
10:51 I hate when shows just leaves us hanging, and this show will never stop doing so. It's like they're saying, "If you want this to happen, you got to wait for it to happen" or "We'll just keep you all guessing and praying so that we can get this show running"
12:29 Well, you gotta give him a little credit. When he was dancing with Marinette, she was expressing her love for Adrien and Felix understands that. So he kept Marinette alive so Adrien and Kagami can be with her but when she disappears, Felix felt guilty and so, he restarts everything and gave up the Peacock Miraculous
NGL Season 5 ending was fire but it felt rush
U just know it's going to be a season 6 😭

That was the good days:(
Felt called out with that Argos cosplay comment. I actually started working on mine when the design first leaked but I got distracted and now it sits at the bottom of a pile. Yay neurodivergence
This show has deteriorated into a mess. It's so sad since the S4 finale made me hopeful for the future.
They don't know yet how the season five finale ended...
yikes 🤕
nobody knows, it was just a mess.
Pain. So much pain!!!!😭😭😭🤢😤😡
Adrien have a right to know what really happened to his father
And Marinette manipulating him
The audible cackle I let out at the end when you said you had hope for the season 5 finale-

I don't think you'll like it. Just brace yourself.
We have to remember that they’re canonically 14. They’re gonna make dumb decisions and their motivations are weird (like getting rid of controlling adults lol)
