Also Adrian couldn’t stick up to Gabriel because he’s a senti. Gabriel’s is constantly controlling Adrian as Adrian but in ep 24. We see CN basically trashing him it’s not him unable to stand up to Gabriel it’s Gabriel controlling him
Also, although it may seem like Ladybug and Cat Noir having the ability to use their powers more is a drawback, its not, there are still consequences to it. Before, the Kwamis had to feed in order to regain their strength, but if the holder is older and stronger, then the Kwami can drain their holders of energy to compensate, a restraint of its own. In terms of Felix, although it was at first assumed he was going to be an antagonist, we realized he was more of an anti-hero, Felix had his own understanding of what’s right and wrong, he loved his mom and respected his aunt Emelie, but he held resentment towards Gabriel for standing by and allowing his father, Colt, to control him through the ring without ever saying anything. Felix also resented Adrien due to his willingness to abide by Gabriel’s every word without question, and although Felix knew the heroes meant no harm to him, it was revealed throughout the series that he was set on obtaining the peacock miraculous at any cost, even betraying the heroes, because it was the peacock which had the power to wipe him from existence.
There are literally 2 alternative timelines showing what happens when Adrien finds out his father is the villain, if anything this kid needs a whole season to process everything he doesn't know at the moment (which is a lot)
I mean... He tried to be a good father before he became hawkmoth and before adriens mom died and i guess he had his moments from season 1 and 3 season 4 and 5 hurt my brain
After some research. People found out that the woman at the end of episode isn’t Emily but her twin sister. Gabriel wished to be in the after life with his wife, making Adrien technically an orphan.
The writers confirmed that Gabriel sacrificed his life to bring back Nathalie and rest in peace forever with his wife. So yeah, Adrien is now 100% orphan. 😬
The finale of this season broke all my faith to this show. Having Adrien LITERALLY SLEEP through the finale and an arc that was his just sent me off the rails. After that I’ve decided to only keep up with the movies. Also having Gabriel being remembered as a hero is just plain dumb.
Fr, Gabriel was never redeemed and he was never a good father, ladybug just lied to everyone about it, including Adrien, I don’t get how people think he was redeemed when he was not because he never changed, he’s still abusive towards Adrien and was still the villain, just Ladybug lied to everyone even tho it’s all a lie
@@abbysworld05 I think we will have an interesting scene where everyone finds out that Ladybug/Marinette lied and then everyone will be so mad at her and might even assume that has been working with him the whole time, so this could lead to her getting akumatised
Don't forget Marinette sympathetic/remorseful feelings blinding her judgment and literally letting the most disgraceful villain in cartoon history win the day and be remembered as the "real hero"... At this point, even a soft-rebooted S6 wouldn't do this show justice 🤦
@@raymondmercado3347 Fr, I still have faith in season 6 since season 5 was my favorite season even tho the season 5 finale was somehow worse than the season 3 finale, I never thought that would be possible cuz I never thought they would mess up the end of the Agreste Arc that bad, the Shadybug and Claw Noir special also being good gives me hope for season 6 too
If I had done final I would of had Adrien at the final with Hawkmoth/Monarch With the fallout of Adrien giving up his miraculous as afraid that he could be come just like his. With season Ladybug trying and find suitable replacement for Cat Noir.
Just to let you know I believe that it has been confirmed by the writers that the woman we see at the end with Natalie wasn't Adrien's mom but his mom sister(can't remember her name). Gabriel gave up his soul to bring back Natalie and to live in the afterlife with his wife.
The last episodes made me face-palm so hard I almost got brain damage. It's like at every point they ask what's the worst thing we could write and they did that. So much build-up for the Agreste Saga, and they completely side-line Adrien, robbing his arcs of any resolution. Even the Sentimonster story, which Felix and Kagami break down for Marinette in great expository detail, AND SHE HAS NO REACTION TO THAT. SHE ACTS LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED! We got some dope scenes. The Bug Noir fight, the pancakes scene, Lila's reveal, the kiss. But they are far from redeeming all the moronic writing. Literally EVERY fanfic on tumblr handled the conclusions for all the arcs better. If the movie and the Paris special didn't come out shortly after the season ended, the franchise would have died then and there. The mom didn't come back, that was her twin, Felix's mom. Gabriel gave his life for Natalie's. For some reason, they tried to be vague about it.
Adrien’s life completely changed and he had nothing to do with it 😂 Even though he’s supposed to be Ladybug’s partner/‘side kick’. Felix literally had better plot and scenes than Adrien, yikes…
I was so disappointed that they scrapped Cat Noir for the final battle. The whole point of the season 4 finale was that he and Ladybug were going to be a team again now… and then they didn’t do that! I’ve heard people saying for years that the writing of this show had gotten so bad that they couldn’t keep going, and I had been getting to that point as well up until I saw the season 4 finale, which I thought was written quite well and which I assumed would be a really good set up for season 5 as long as they followed through on it… and then they didn’t do that! So now I’m at the point of thinking the writing is worse than I’ve ever believed it to be before, and that’s sad. The end of this 5-season arc was just painful.
@@maniacgreen8609 sadly that’s all he exist for. Odds are they won’t even do anything with this plot detail about marinette keeping a secret for his father e
S5 finale is a masterclass in failing to pay off your setups. It's putting twists in place of narrative beats, taken to the next level. Watch the movie if you want to see a way to handle the Agreste arc in 90 minutes better than they did in 5 seasons.
Nah With the writing ability of this seri They will force Adrien to apologize to Marinette because his father is a villain, and thank her for lying to his face, because she did nothing wrong.
If it's not the over arching plot of season 6 I'll be disappointed. How they treated that luka knew and didn't address it till half way through season 5 is such a shame.
As much as I've often loved it, I know of no other show that continually fails its potential as much as Miraculous does. I keep watching in the hopes that it somehow finally delivers, but it just keeps falling on its face and it's just sooo frustrating. The movie was great and it showed what Miraculous really could be (apart from the weird decision to have Lou sing Marinette's songs instead of Cristina - that still throws me), but as a result it's actually made the show even harder to watch imo.
I think personally Season 4 was good. The finale was good. Some of the episodes were good They were very unexpected Season 5 was just like a dump of everything just so they could close the plot line So it feels rushed
Ya'll are strong, I stopped watching after season 2 and I was just done with the show. Watching recaps on UA-cam drove me crazy and I was disappointed to see the series only continuously grew worse even after I dropped it.
I WISH I could stop watching this trainwreck of a show but for some reason I'm still somewhat invested and want to know how it continues. Also, I have to admit the show is actually pretty good for when I'm in a "if I see anything happy I'm gonna cry"-mood because watching it always makes me so angry and frustrated that I start ranting about everything stupid currently happening in it, which in turn completely distracts me from my mood and I'm actually somewhat happy afterwards. So at least there's something positive about it I guess?
My only biggest problem with the finale is Adrian wasn't part of the final fight just like the movie. I mean it's his own family. It kinda felt like doing a Baulder's Gate 3 companien quest without the companion you are doing it for.
This was supposed to be his time to shine. Yet, they gave it all to Marinette. Plus, the way that Marinette and Adrien get together feels contrived and forced. Also, if Gabriel wanted to be redeemed, then he wouldn’t go with the wish. Seriously, why didn’t Felix just rescue him and Kagami so they can stop Monarch?
I don't even watch this show, and I'm sitting here scratching my head like; shouldn't Adrien have been the one to have the final face-off against his own father? And it's after their identities are revealed, could you imagine that DIALOGUE?? people's hearts would have been in their throats, that shit would have slapped! But noooo
Also quick side note, in the original sandman episode, adriens worst fear was being trapped and having no way of getting out. So imagine how horrible he felt in solitary confinment!!!! Also the comments are right, adrien should have been in the final battle. It would have made for a much more interesting story in my opinion
I was at a comic con a few months back and ended up chatting to a vendor as they had some Miraculous art on their table who'd be watching the show with their niece. They told me they'd "put the show on" for their niece, they used to watch it together but with later episodes their niece no longer cares they just put it on because they want to watch it 😅. I feel like this show has reached the point where the initial target demogrpahic doesn't care and now it's purely for the teen/ adult demographic that are trapped watching it because they've been here since the start and it's like a car crash you can't look away from 💀.
Since it perfectly sums up my feelings and I'm too lazy to re-type it, allow me to copy and paste my comment I left on Smarty Pant's finale video 5 months ago; I'm just gonna make a list of reasons I absolutely hated this finale in no particular order: 1: Adrien/Chat Noir not being present in the final battle 2: Taking from point 1, he would have been able to learn about his dad being Monarch and about his mother's situation. 3: Everyone was soooooo dumbed down with those damn rings. It felt like all their brain cells ceased to exist. Seriously what WAS that- I get the whole nightmare/antidote plan was going on but still, it felt so ... artificial? Idk how to put it. Like an easy solution. 4: The final fight was very underwhelming. I didn't feel that "wow" factor or even all that satisfied. 5: Marinette giving Gabriel one last chance knowing full well how dangerous he is and what he has put people through up until this moment 6: HIM GETTING HIS WISH (yeah at the cost of his death, I know, but he still technically "won" this way.) 7: All of Paris and Adrien thinking he was some kind of hero and even erecting a damn statue of him I- 8: No background on what the hell happened to Adrien and Kagami in the mean time??? 9: The ending felt super rushed like it was made in 3 months vs what 8 years was leading to 10: Maybe a nitpick but the identity reveal not happening In conclusion: The bad guy/abuser gets away with no consequences faced and is even hailed as a hero meanwhile his son doesn't know a single shred of truth about ANYTHING and wasn't present for the final showdown against the bad guy they've been taking on as a damn duo since day 1. Adrien 👏 deserved 👏 BETTER 👏 and 👏 Gabriel 👏 deserved 👏 WORSE 👏 😤 The movie version of events did this final fight SOOOOOO much better!!!!!
One thing that I absolutely loathed was the sentimonster reveal. I didnt like the theory when it first popped up and I hate that it is canon now. It takes away so much agency and responsibility from Adrien.
Me too but even if the HAD to go with that story idea they could have given Adrian more of a reaction to being completely incapable of doing some things. Like at least have him feel like something is really wrong instead of being oblivious to the fact he can just be magically not doing what he wanted anymore
@@Breaded135I have no proof but also no doubt that's the issue with this show, almost EVERY fan theory becomes canon, Chloe, Alya, and Nino becoming heros, Nathalie being Mayura, Adrien as a sentimonster and the list goes on and on
Gabriel's teenage past is really not given enought attention if you think about it. From what Argos and the former mayor said about him,Gabriel was basically the Marinette of his generation while Emily was in a similar situation as Adrien! Heck,Adrien himself brought it up at some point, just for Gabriel to shut him up before doing anything with that idea. This could have used to make a decent narrative for the final fight even withought including Cat Noir in it!
I appreciated Gabriel’s redemption and sacrifice, but I have to agree that not having Adrien part of the final battle creates a swarm of issues. With Gabriel’s sacrifice, they basically re-wrote history AND everyone’s memories. So a world exists now where his wife never died. There’s no need for a big reunion because she “never left”. I also don’t think it explains how Natalie comes back in the new world. It’s a life for a life, not a life for 2 and Natalie was decidedly dead before Gabriel made the sacrifice. The situation creates too much of a power imbalance between Marinette and Adrien and as it stands I can’t see their relationship going far without Marinette telling Adrien the truth. I was overwhelmingly frustrated with this season, but that is my personal opinion. Still going to keep watching this show until its last episode.
He -allegedly - wished for Natalie to come back to life, so everything that happened, still happened, he didn't alter the timeline. But yeah, the wish did destroy and rebuilt the universe so everyone's essentially dead.
I haven't actually watched the show since season 3, and I am SO GRATEFUL I did because then I'd be even more furious at the adrien disrespect. BRO SEES HIS DAD AS Q HERO THE GUY ABUSED HIM WTF?!
Glad to see your coverage of the other half of this season! Always happy to see Miraculous getting some love. Really curious what you think of the Miraculous World Paris special! (one of my favourites) Also a little sidenote: a huge part of the reason why Adrien can't stand up to Gabriel is because he is a sentimonster. That's what the play Felix and Kagami did told us: both Felix and Adrien are sentimonsters (maybe Kagami too, I'm not sure on that). That's also why Gabriel often rubs his ring when he gives Adrien an order: that's where the amuk is. Being a sentimonster, Adrien cannot disobey Gabriel (or the holder of the item with the amuk, like Nathalie with the other ring). I felt Adrien's struggle very strongly in the episode at the start of this video. When Gabriel orders him to walk away, he goes to his room and stands frozen at the door. He wants to walk back and stand with Marinette so badly, but he is physically incapable of doing so. He's frozen in this mental battle. Strong moment for me: relatable as someone who easily gets mentally overwhelmed and burdened by feelings of responsibility.
I wish there was an epilogue where it’s the reverse, where the mother has her husband in the chamber looking for a way to bring him back becoming the next villain, even if one saved the other the other would become hawk moth or monarch to get the other one back becoming a endless cycle
The play that Kogame and Felix put on also applies that Felix and Adrien are both sentimonsters made by their parents. They make sure to show that each time Gabe gives Adrien a command he is touching the ring. So Adrien literally can't disobey his father because that is the wish that created him. That is why Felix can because he wears the ring that brought him to life. Now Adrien has his ring and is free to live as he wishes.
Felix’s ring that has his Amok is the ring that he has always weared ever since he was first introduced in the episode Felix which was Felix’s dad’s ring
Man, Adrien was ROBBED of a conclusion/confrontation with his father. Adrien deserved to be in the finale since the plot revolved around him (maybe he should've been the MC too), but instead they reduced him to be a Princess Peach. Even the movie, which was flawed, had a *better* ending than the series. I know there's going to be a season 6, but at this point I officially give up on the show. Also, how is anyone supposed to know that Emilie wasn't resurrected, and instead its actually Amilie (the twin) that we see at the end of season 5?? What was the point of the wish then?? Just save Nathalie and leave Adrien an orphan?
Agree to disagree. Getting into the after-life was too good for Gabriel. And Adrien should have been involved in some capacity, unless they're saving it for some "relationship break-up misunderstanding" later on for season 12. Miraculous will never end lol
One of the many reasons why after I watched the movie, I dropped the show (I was undecided if I should finish watching s5). Even if the movie had its flaws (ehem PLAGG), compared to the bs the show wants us to just accept, the movie is a masterpiece; and after seeing the reviews of s5, I went for the "peace of mind" option and I'm actually satisfied with that Gabriel plot's "ending" lol
@@meriewanderer Lmaooo fr, I was never THAT into Miraculous but I've read a few fanfics bcs I was intrigued. Not even kidding that even the 3 I read could be considered masterpieces compared to the show. It's actually sad bcs I did think the show had potential, but the execution was terrible. The fanfics gave us sm creativity, imagination & character development for the story, that the actual show failed to surpass expectations imo.
Has nothing to do with the vid, but I absolutely love the fanart / mascot (?) of you appearing from time to time during the vid !!!( 2:01 )Looks hella cool and cute
Adrien being sidelined was a big turn-off. I swear to god Thomas is projecting onto Chloe and Adrien when it comes to blondies. I won't forgive them UNLESS the season 5 finale will have proper consequences (like Adrien confronting Marinette about Monarch's identity and losing the butterfly miraculous, that's a big opportunity to have a "liar reveal" and make it really emotional. Like, HELLO?! Who doesn't want Marinette to get the taste of her own medicine? Who doesn't want more different kind of angst after the will they won't theys?) I don't have much hope for the show... The recent spin off and the movie at least was enjoyable.
I think the writers were too lenient with him. He terrorized Paris and its citizens for months, at least. He manipulated and used Natalie and his son. He abused his son so much. I'm disappointed that Adrien never got to stand up to his father and now even sees him as some kind of hero. Miraculous could've been good but it's just okay😐
I dont really know how I would have wanted Gabe's story to end. I don't like how Adrien was absent, I don't like that he won but shifted after doing so many intensely bad things, and I'm not a fan of him being able to die and be remembered fondly by all. Maybe I'd like the opposite? I think i'd like Adrien confronting and choosing to see the good in him himself, Gabe potentially living to have to accept the consequences of his actions a bit (or just stick with him swapping with Nat), or him not getting the wish at all because I dont like how the thing the show was avoiding just wasn't that bad actually.
If thomas decided to make chloe redicilouis evil out of character, she should be the next villain at least, because of her actually great dynamic and personality. and its easier to swollow the rediilous chloe is even , if she at least vcan be the main villain. Also irs redicilous marinette gets all the moments adrien should have, even worse, why treat gabriel as villain, and its really cruel gaslighting to not tell adrien. By the way adrien could too a next good main villain if that understandibly would break him, that everyone he thought he could trust betrayed him, especially his girlfriend, and keep everything from him. Andit is a betrayal rather respecting his abusive dad than telling him instead seeing his dad, who abused him, as hero. Kids show isnt an ewxcuse to have a messed up message to not telling the person who needs to kmow the most about the truth.adrien. Because now he is gaslit into heroworshipping his abusive dad of a villain., I just neither respect astruc nor matinettes character for just continuing to gaslight him and say its the right thing. Hell even more in a relationship. With a trsaumatozed already teenager who deserves to know. Like if marinette told him, dont tell me what to do, i wont be lkike you, and she would not like the next main villain. Nor her falling for gabriels gaslighting anfd keeping it going, neither heroic. Its the topping on the already incredible toxic medssage in their relationship. Its boarderline abuse now. And given they ar eprobably ending together, glorify it.
I got out of the Fandom around sessions 3&4, and I thought maybe I should come check this out because the movie was pretty good, so why not.... At 1:17 of the video, I literally screamed out loud. They ruin my day!
I wish they had him do that , and first, save natalie seeing what he has done, not his dead wife, you know him notr being selfish at the end, and marinette definitly not continuing to gaslite him into seeing his dad as hero, when its bound to be found out. On the wishes of gabtriel who gaslights adrien in death through marinettes willingness. Unless that were a corruption arc for her, why? If she were principled, he deserves to know, you are just selfish gabriel agreste, maybe?
Honestly I think the most diabolical, evil part of this was Gabe sending his own son to *London*, where nobody should ever be Cruel and unusual punishment, man
God. Gabriel deserved a more painful death. Because he didn't deserve Emilie. He didn't deserve peace. He deserved a painful death. Luz was able to defeat Belos. So why couldn't Marinette do the same? And defeat no. Kill Gabriel?! Oh right. She's too nice. Tch. Never trusting ladybug again.
And worse, all she had to do was to say she wont let himself do the selfish thing gabriel wanted, and not lie to adrien. Unbless she is on a corruption arc, why? Also yay kids series message ito hide abusers dark secrets.
i am still angry that Marinette trusted him and forgave him for no reason and that she told everyone that he was a hero i hope that Adrien finds out about her lies in Season 6
I honestly really wanted Ladybug & Chat Noir to defeat Hawkmoth together & I wanted To see Hawkmoth face his own son & realise what he did. The fact that Adrien/Cat Noir was left out of this is so... odd?
Gabriel literally won, it doesn't matter what his wish was, he *made a wish* meaning that the Marinette, Adrien, etc we've known for the past 5 seasons are DEAD and this is a whole new, rebuilt universe.
The show is called Ladybug and Cat Noire and man doesn't even get to show up to the climactic fight with his father like holy shit do they do Adrien dirty throughout the entire series
Like I get, it's supposed to be that girls can be strong without guys, but Ladybug was stronger with Chat Noir by her side. She might do well in battle, but with chat noir, they're stronger together. Why did they have to make chat/Adrien a sad boy and just give up? I don't care if Hawkmoth finds out Chat Noir's identity, I don't care about any of this anymore (other than the movie which was awesome), I just wanted there to be a reveal and while they did reveal Ladybug to Hawkmoth, it just didn't feel right without Adrien being in the picture. He's just wasted potential. This is why Felix should've been Chat Noir (like in the pv) rather than Adrien.
I can't wait for season 6 also I kinda like Lila being the new villain I want to see what kind of butterfly villain she turned into and what her villain name would be. And it would be cool if Adrien said something to his mom like I missed you I wish you will come back. I wish Gabriel wasn't treated like a hero in the end he did terrible things and Ladybug and Cat noir are the true heroes. And I wish Cat noir was in the finale so he could help Ladybug but I loved bug noir's transformation and Marinette and Adrien kissing and having a happy ending. I think I'm happy that Gabriel is gone it was rushed but I feel like was necessary so the show can be better as Lila being the new supervillain.
I’m assuming season 6 or what ever the next thing is, maybe lila will somehow expose the identities or frame Lady bug and Noir and everyone will give them the Spider-Man is suddenly public number 1 enemy
Gabriel didn't switch places with Emilie, because he wished to be with her - he saved NATALIE, and at the end with Natalie isn't Adrien's mom, but Felix's - Amelie (obv Emilie's twin sister). 👌🏻
The finale had both its highs and lows. In the one hand it had some great action with Ladybug, and the friend group and her friends. And Adrian and Marinetti are finally together. On the other hand. Adrien gets completely sidelines for the finale, having no contribution aside from giving up the ring. Kagami’s mom gets off Scott free despite being Gabriel’s accomplice and also being a terrible parent. It’s just dumb luck that Gabriel wins but wishes that everything ends well so it feels like the hero’s lost in the end but win by technically. And there was pretty vague weather it’s Adrian’s dead mom or his aunt in the end. Felix gets a rushed redemption. As bad as Cloe was I don’t think her punishment should have been more of what made her a terrible person(AKA her mom!). Honestly Gabriel’s movie redemption was way better than what we get in the show. And as good as our couple finally being together is. It’s soured by the fact that Maronet is keeping the truth from Adrian the hole time. And is Lyla going to be the new villain? Will it be this “supreme,” they talked about in the latest movie? Who knows! So as wild a ride as the finale was it ended up being a hot mess in the end.
Yeah I’m with you. I’m so fed up with them making Adrien less important over and over again. But I AM happy that Adrien and Marinette are FINALLY together again and of course their kiss as well.
Ladybug and Cat Noir being able to use their powers more is nice, but it still has its down side since Tikki and Plagg will now drain energy from Marinette and Adrien to keep them from de-transforming, and that's a big issue already.
They could have made it work with another episode to draw out the final conflict and actually include Adrien in it. Making Marinette do everything and still technically fail in the end just kinda shows how much they sidelined him in their dynamic, and made him more of a living McGuffin than someone with their own autonomy in the plot (even without the whole "him being a sentimonster" thing). Also love at first sight with Kagami aside, why does everyone forgive Felix so quick and ingratiate him into the super team without missing a beat? You'd think even with her vouching for him having a good side, they'd still keep him on probation and make him prove himself more.
I personally think this ending for Gabriel worked; they couldn't do the ending they did for Movie!Gabriel because Series!Gabriel had gone WAY too far in abusing his son, manipulating others and basically ruining people's lives (as well as his own) to get the happy/reunion ending he got in the movie. I agree to an extent that it’s a shame Adrien wasn't in the finale and didn't find out Gabriel's identity, but we've seen in previous episodes (Chat Blanc and 100th) that Gabriel has too much control over his son's emotions and anatomy for Cat Noir/Ladybug to succeed. So I’m hoping that with Lila being the new villain, that her having a connection/vendetta to Ladybug/Marinette that Cat Noir ends up being the one to vanquish her in the end. But obviously that’s thinking way ahead. Also, it’s been confirmed that Adrien’s mum didn’t come back, it was his aunt in the ending and Natalie’s health was restored. I think that makes more sense; Gabriel was at death door, and so was his wife, so using both their limited lives to help restore Natalie so they can be together in death made more (emotional) sense - to me anyways.
In season 5 Gabriel has a miraculous capable to give any power he wants! Why not just use that to give himself a healing ability and cure what happened to Natalie and Emily? It may fail because they got sick by using the power of another qwami, but isn't the power itself that caused it,so it would have been worth trying!
What if Adrien's mother turns evil because she wants to ressurect his father, 5 seasons later she succeeds by sacrificing herself for him after doing a lot of evil things, he then wants to ressurect her and after 5 seasons of doing evil things he sacrifices himself for her...
Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but I woulda told Adrien about Gabe being hawkmoth and all the bullshit he done it upset me Adrien is still being gaslighted and they built a statue gabe is a horrible person
I was disappointed to final, what really BUGGED me was lack of converstation between Mothy and Cat Noir if knowing their identity. The finale is perfect oppornity to make them talk and leaving Adrien out of it made me mad. He should have explained it all to Adrien once they know secret Identity. Gabriel avoided talking with Adrien in any podssible way, think about conversation if it was similar to Zuko and Ozai's in day of the Black sun. I know people say in Adrien's defence that Adrien is sentimonster and can't do nothing about to ring control but c'mon all I heard was NO! and Stop it! That's not confronting your father Adrien, thats whining.
And another thing. I HATE😂 the fact that Gabriel told Marinette to not tell Adrien about who he actually was. Like I at least wanted that in the finale. I wanted to Adrien face the biggest conflict in the story his dad being the main villain and at least Gabriel finding out about him being cat noir at the same time, but hey🤷🏾♀️guess what we want don't mean nothing 😂
Lmao I was just watching a bunch of season 5 last night randomly I found cat noir not so annoying this time and to watch videos with Luka again cause he’s the best honestly. I was trying to make sense of season 5 cause they don’t have the full episodes on youtube or all the seasons on Netflix
The reason why Adrien couldn't stand up to his father, Kagami losing her ring, why Felix has a mental breakdown after getting rid of the red moon, why Felix wanted to free everyone, and the whole stage play thing in general is because Adrien, Felix and Kagami are all senti-monsters so Kagami losing her ring represents her losing her freedom because the amoke controls the senti-monster, which is also why Adrien couldn't stand up for him self, and Felix had a mental breakdown because he is a senti-monster and he destroyed one. sorry if you this already.
Adrien NOT being in the final was so dissapointing! He's very nice, his situation is sad, the oy is an important character (His hero name is in the title!) Him not fighting Monarch and discovering who he is was not cool, very disrespectful too! I like Chat noir, he's my favorite character! I could see him destroying Monarch's brooch then saw it's his father, is paralyzed by shock and he don't know what to do while Ladybug pushes the villain. It can add good drama! No let's give everything to Marinette AND makes her act like an idiot because she trusted the villain. Good idea Astruc 😒
I forgot Adrien's mom had a twin. I'm so sorry.
Felix also resented Adrien due to his willingness to abide by Gabriel’s every word without question, and although Felix knew the heroes meant no harm to him, it was revealed throughout the series that he was set on obtaining the peacock miraculous at any cost, even betraying the heroes, because it was the peacock which had the power to wipe him from existence.
also btw, I believe this is part 3. You've made three vides on season 5
I am curious how Adrian will handle finding out that he is a Centimonster.

After some research. People found out that the woman at the end of episode isn’t Emily but her twin sister. Gabriel wished to be in the after life with his wife, making Adrien technically an orphan.

As Austin would say about Ladybug. Our hero Ladies and gentlemen.

Just to let you know I believe that it has been confirmed by the writers that the woman we see at the end with Natalie wasn't Adrien's mom but his mom sister(can't remember her name). Gabriel gave up his soul to bring back Natalie and to live in the afterlife with his wife.
I believe it was confirmed that it was Amalie (although reluctantly cause they thought it was clear, but it might have been only Thomas)
How can they think that was clear? They are twins. @@myroyalart9246
There's two twin mothers, Amelie and Emilie. Emilie is the coma mom.
In my heart, she's beating the shit out of him.
How it could be clear it was Amelie instead of Emilie, especially when Emilie rises up from her casket after the wish.

Remember kids, this is how to screw up what could have been a great finale!!!
They're going to have a huge fight when Adrien finds out Ladybug lied.
You mean if the writers actually address that and don't drop off that plot point like so many others.
Nah With the writing ability of this seri They will force Adrien to apologize to Marinette because his father is a villain, and thank her for lying to his face, because she did nothing wrong.
@@happyblue4940Can Plagg just Cataclysm Marinette?

Exactly
Honestly I stopped watching after season 3 cause I didn’t like how much they were stretching the conflict and can’t be bothered watch it this helps
Yeah I literally stopped watching after season three as well.
Literally this I went to watching just a few episodes and watch people criticise those episodes and the rest
I think personally
Season 4 was good. The finale was good. Some of the episodes were good
They were very unexpected
Season 5 was just like a dump of everything just so they could close the plot line
So it feels rushed
But noooo
There's theories that that isn't Adrien's mom, but his aunt. Especially because Felix is also there, so it would make sense.
It's not a theory, already confirms that it's not Adrien mother, It's Felix's mother
I would suggest the evidence is that Natalie was there. Gabriel lost his life for Natalie
@@happyblue4940 do you mean because they’re both sentimonsters who would have been created when Adriens mom used the peacock miraculous?
I hate that Marinette is lying to Adrian instead of just telling the truth
Its a good lesson to remind the kids its easy to keep a secret between two people if one of them is dead
Lying will make things worse.
Since it perfectly sums up my feelings and I'm too lazy to re-type it, allow me to copy and paste my comment I left on Smarty Pant's finale video 5 months ago;
I'm just gonna make a list of reasons I absolutely hated this finale in no particular order:
1: Adrien/Chat Noir not being present in the final battle
2: Taking from point 1, he would have been able to learn about his dad being Monarch and about his mother's situation.
3: Everyone was soooooo dumbed down with those damn rings. It felt like all their brain cells ceased to exist. Seriously what WAS that-
I get the whole nightmare/antidote plan was going on but still, it felt so ... artificial? Idk how to put it. Like an easy solution.
4: The final fight was very underwhelming. I didn't feel that "wow" factor or even all that satisfied.
5: Marinette giving Gabriel one last chance knowing full well how dangerous he is and what he has put people through up until this moment
6: HIM GETTING HIS WISH (yeah at the cost of his death, I know, but he still technically "won" this way.)
7: All of Paris and Adrien thinking he was some kind of hero and even erecting a damn statue of him I-
8: No background on what the hell happened to Adrien and Kagami in the mean time???
9: The ending felt super rushed like it was made in 3 months vs what 8 years was leading to
10: Maybe a nitpick but the identity reveal not happening
In conclusion: The bad guy/abuser gets away with no consequences faced and is even hailed as a hero meanwhile his son doesn't know a single shred of truth about ANYTHING and wasn't present for the final showdown against the bad guy they've been taking on as a damn duo since day 1. Adrien 👏 deserved 👏 BETTER 👏 and 👏 Gabriel 👏 deserved 👏 WORSE 👏 😤
The movie version of events did this final fight SOOOOOO much better!!!!!
It almost feels like the writers heard the theory and thought it was “such a good idea” and decided to add it in
@@Breaded135I have no proof but also no doubt that's the issue with this show, almost EVERY fan theory becomes canon, Chloe, Alya, and Nino becoming heros, Nathalie being Mayura, Adrien as a sentimonster and the list goes on and on
Gabriel's teenage past is really not given enought attention if you think about it.
It’s not Emilie it’s amilie 😊
He -allegedly - wished for Natalie to come back to life, so everything that happened, still happened, he didn't alter the timeline. But yeah, the wish did destroy and rebuilt the universe so everyone's essentially dead.
It's Amelie
That was barely a redemption

Also a little sidenote: a huge part of the reason why Adrien can't stand up to Gabriel is because he is a sentimonster.
It was confirmed that the woman in the finale was actually Amilie, not Emilie
He didn’t bring Emelie back, he healed Nathalie. He set Emelie free. The woman at the end is Felix’s mother.
I don't think that's Adrian's mom, I think that's Felix's mom, considering Natalie was back at the end.
This has been confirmed. Gabrielle decided to bring back Natalie
Emilie deserved to come back. Eminath was right there! Gabenath is so last decade.
@@jaedhalaptiste1924Gabriel. Not Gabrielle.
Adrien is technically wearing 2 rings cuz his amok is in both of the twin rings so he wears both rings
The movie did the ending of the Gabriel saga better
Heck fanfics does it better than the show too

One of the many reasons why after I watched the movie, I dropped the show (I was undecided if I should finish watching s5). Even if the movie had its flaws (ehem PLAGG), compared to the bs the show wants us to just accept, the movie is a masterpiece; and after seeing the reviews of s5, I went for the "peace of mind" option and I'm actually satisfied with that Gabriel plot's "ending" lol

Adrien being sidelined was a big turn-off. I swear to god Thomas is projecting onto Chloe and Adrien when it comes to blondies. The recent spin off and the movie at least was enjoyable.
I think the writers were too lenient with him. He terrorized Paris and its citizens for months, at least. He manipulated and used Natalie and his son. He abused his son so much. Maybe I'd like the opposite? If thomas decided to make chloe redicilouis evil out of character, she should be the next villain at least, because of her actually great dynamic and personality. and its easier to swollow the rediilous chloe is even , if she at least vcan be the main villain.

By the way adrien could too a next good main villain if that understandibly would break him, that everyone he thought he could trust betrayed him, especially his girlfriend, and keep everything from him.

9:26 actually that part was about drugs and how we use them to make us feel good
Gabriel literally won, it doesn't matter what his wish was, he *made a wish* meaning that the Marinette, Adrien, etc we've known for the past 5 seasons are DEAD and this is a whole new, rebuilt universe.
The series finale would have been better if they spent time on having Adrien escape and have him be part of the finale.
Why would Marinette not tell Adrien how bad Gabriel is? I hated the ending.
God I love your humor omg how do you do it?
You'd think even with her vouching for him having a good side, they'd still keep him on probation and make him prove himself more.
i watched Youre Using alice in wonderland wrong and jumped immediately to miraculous content i love ur content friend keep it up!!!
You've written a whole book there
i do believe that s6 would also address a lot of things that werent addressed in the finale bc of limited time.
Kagami being with Felix is so weird. It's like she got the next best thing?
Nice work I lost interest in Miracules because of poor writing and even poor execution but you make the dumpster fire that MLB is Good nice review
Oh my god love you new avatar, The anime version of you is awesome! ❤
The thing is Gabriel didn't save his wife he died by her side and let Natalie live because only one can live so the woman there was Felix mom
Negative legend god
What if Adrien's mother turns evil because she wants to ressurect his father, 5 seasons later she succeeds by sacrificing herself for him after doing a lot of evil things, he then wants to ressurect her and after 5 seasons of doing evil things he sacrifices himself for her...
Yeah no. Emilie would never be evil.
Great video, as always!! 😊
Btw, nice bunny Rupee on the monitor behind you 👌
ngl the lila pixie cut reveal gagged me. like she ate that look
I WANTED them to keep Felix a Villian 💀
You need to do a review on the London in Paris special please🥺🥺🥺🥺🙏
Did Gabriel's redemption well?! Haha. No. 😆😒
After rewatching The Dark Knight, I just realized that they pulled a Harvey Dent with Gabriel.
I hope we can hear your thoughts on the movie. If you want to that is.
“Or I will kiss you both!” That’s such a dramatic way to say you’re pan, my love
I’m late to this. But at this point let Perry the platypus fight Gabriel. Because Marinette proved she can’t fight evil correctly.
Lmao I was just watching a bunch of season 5 last night randomly I found cat noir not so annoying this time and to watch videos with Luka again cause he’s the best honestly. I was trying to make sense of season 5 cause they don’t have the full episodes on youtube or all the seasons on Netflix
I'm just glad the main clusterfuck is over.
Truly such a devastation man
Adrien NOT being in the final was so dissapointing!
Can't wait for the shadybug and claw noir review
