Haven't watched the video yet, but I must say that I am so thankful that I found you and your guides for Holy! I started playing priest for the first time ever this expansion except for classic wow (druid/DK/warrior earlier in retail) and I went into my first raid as Holy and I was doing grey parses. After that raid I felt so bad about my horrible healing and I found your guides and timers for raid wide cds. Now I learned so much and doing minimum 80 parses at every boss. Thank you so much for your work!
I'm fine not having a kick (hard to kick people while wearing robes) but we should be able to remove any type of dot (bleed, curse, etc...). That and better mobility than a wheelchair and I think it would be a more enjoyable class in M+ atm!
I love it when people play resto They cannot save their teammates from death from my rogue or my death night. 😊 😢 It's a shame Priest feels kind of weak over all these days.

I've been really enjoying Oracle Disc with heavy penance and PW: Shield talent focus. Oracle CDs give you powerful aoe healing and you have essentially Rapture-tier shields and 50% hp threshold PW: Life at all times to pull anyone, and I mean anyone, out of the fire lol. I iust wish you could move during uppies and that this build had more aoe damage.
Unpopular opinion: I think holy priest is perfectly fine as is. Realy enjoy healing m+ on holy priest running archon. No kick is also fine. You can double fear and stun and leave the rest to your party members
There are 5 players in a party, make a party with specific classes / combinations so you can handle the interrupts. Not a problem if one of them can't interrupt. Also as mentioned kick isn't the only way to interrupt a cast

Remove angelical feather as it's embarrassing, or merge all charge duration into one and make it also apply to the nearest 3-5 allies, something cool like that. A mobility review is well over due. I Personally don't care for the kick and class homogenisation is a thing. NEED A BIG review of Holy 5Man AoE healing. Circle of healing/ Sanctify / Prayer of Healing - None of these will save the group when heavy damage comes out. Even Sanctify is whatever, just use it to summon a Naaru thing. Salvation / Divine Hymn - Salvation great for raiding but awful in 5 Man, it's so niche it could be baseline and make no difference to the game. Divine Hymn might work as some sort of "ramp" but these are both big lackluster cooldowns outside of raiding. The tools are there...

I really enjoy my holy priest and now reached 2300 in pugs. Even if disci is even funnier, in pugs i may struggle a lot under unexpected damages that occur really often.
I’m at 2607 io as Archon Holy, and it doesn’t feel too bad. However, Holy Word: Sanctify heals like a wet noodle and needs to be beefed up. The Prayer of Healing leading to Circle of Healing talents needs a rework. Afterlife and Restitution talents should be combined and made accessible earlier. Divine Image should be baseline with talents to empower it. Lightwell is always a poor talent choice, and Divine Word needs a buff or rework. Cosmic Ripple is an embarrassing talent and should be removed.
THIS Restitution + Afterlife is such a unique interaction in wow.. It goes well with the description of holy priest "Heal beyond the grave". It would also gives us some sort of Brez which has a different type of mechanic attached to it It's insane restitution is locked in a capstone no one ever picks up...
Most classes are easy to play in MMOs unless you're doing Mythic RWF or something, and trying to be the 0.01% of people. And even then, the class itself is easy, it's self-imposed difficulty cuz you're racing against other people. It's the PvP aspect of raid vs raid racing against other good players is what makes it hard. Even RWF guilds have admitted time and time again that the raids are only difficult in the first month. After that you're geared, optimized, you learn the fight a bit and it's easy (and blizz balances the bosses that were overtuned lol). People doing normal/heroic raids worrying about which class or spec is better.. Whichever one you're best at and have most fun at (cuz guess what... having fun means you'll play it more and get better at it). Also, the talents aren't hard to figure out, you don't need to obsessively watch vids on it... I spent 5 minutes looking at shaman talents, tried a few builds and figured which the best options are without looking at guides. When I checked the guides for the heck of it.... the so-called super experienced/smart players had reached the same conclusions as me. Oh look, the talent that increases your single-target damage is good on st-focused builds! Holy shit what an insane proposition, genius idea. Oh and you're telling me that AoE talents are good for the AoE aspect of M+?! My god, who would've thought? Oh and if I need more CC I should spec into CC abilities!?!!?! WOAH! All of that makes it super funny to me that class guides are so prevalent in wow. Like, who the fuck cares? Play what you enjoy. It's an MMO and MMOs aren't hard. P.S. Yes, I see the irony of me being on a class guide vid. I just clicked it for the heck of it as background noise while I work cuz I like Jak. I can't play video games all the time so I listen to vids to get my "fix" of the game. lol Idk why this is a reply to you specifically. These are just thoughts that appeared in my mind when you said Holy is a snoozefest. Don't take it as a comment towards you or something. I share your view that Disc is the more mechanically interesting spec.
Lightweaver holy is alright, for a tier, since a lot of the spot healing falls on you. But otherwise, I agree. I'm not playing prayer based Holy priest in any content. That's just too mind numbing.

I'd like to see them add more utility by expanding things like Mass Dispel, Mind Soothe, better personal defensive options, etc. Basically expand priest utility in a unique way, not a generic 'here is something other classes have' kinda way. I hate homogenization so I'm fine with no kick but when you compare pretty much every other healer to priest... priests are just inferior in M+ by a dramatic amount it feels like. Like, if I weren't playing one I'm not sure I'd want to bring a priest either tbh.
I know the definitive m+ fix for disciplines feast/famine routine: Light's Wrath as a choice node on the Evangelism point. Castable while moving, 45s CD; aimed to fill in mindbender gaps. Plus blaze of light/harsh discipline/expiation all made 1 pointers. Compansate with 5-man atonement transfer rate if necessary to keep it balanced.
Great video, Jak. With the Piety thing specifically, while it's a workaround, it still feels like an unfortunate one. I still think that they should do what they did with Atonement and make Prayer of Healing do more healing outside of a raid environment. +100% probably not enough for its current tuning... really depends on what they think it needs to do in raids. But just... make it stronger in dungeons, and then also add it to Lightweaver and maybe to Divine Word: Sanctify. Holy Word: Sanctify might also need a bit more oomph in dungeons, too.
Pres is in the same spot disc was in. In legion really really strong if played well and I personally like oracle disc over voidweaver but thats mostly flavor i hate void and i think we shouldnt be using that spell type

I'm a disc priest eversince dragonflight and now playing DIsc-Oracle than the Archeon spec. The archeon spec deals a lot more DPS to heal but can't really do something about people getting oneshot. Oracle spec deals immediate healing from premonition and creates excess shielding with the passive prayer of mending. It's just a matter if you to choose more healing (Oracle) or more damage (Archeon). At Holy spec, having some hard time the AOE heal channels are quite short on HPS + long CDs I've been noticing the coinbase logo behind, are you also a crypto trader?
I had a hard time in early donjons, feeling a lot of downtimes in my rotation as disc and went cham for a bit, but now that i'm confortable with timings and not hesitating to launch the void all the time, i actually feel like disc is perfect for this high bursting donjons. You just got to know your timings but damn you're bursting your HPS.
I think making cosmic ripple baseline is a start and maybe some kind of omni dispel on MD that's available for only the healer spec For the insane... make chastise and mind blast (disc) an interrupt because why the heck not, i guess And make B&S + Angelic Feather a combined talent to free up talent points
My original plan was to use Oracle Holy Form+ and Disc for raids, but that seems to have been overturned 😂. My team is weird because we don't have a holy paladin, so I have to switch to holy for spot healing. Blizzard nerfed the lizard this week, so I don't know if one burst healer is enough for future raids.
I like Disc but it feels pretty weak in terms of when I need to heal something right now fast, theres way too much overhealing waste, I like the setting up for healing the whole team but that time it takes to get everyone with attonement can be the difference of someone dying or not, also feel like shield CD is a bit too high
How about the shadow binding ritual knife for holy? It’s D ranked on the guide but QE is simming mine at champion track better than hero track trinkets.
Jack do you think blizz might consider doing the buff in raid for disc? Even if it’s lower than 5 man? I raid norm with mine and sadly my hps/raw heals and dmg mitigation are just meh. I don’t enjoy 5 man content too much because it’s just absurdly rushed. I just haven’t enjoyed mythic +. The raids are nice tho. So I guess atm the choice is fine holy gear and change up for raid?
There is one main difference for me between Holy and Disc that shouldn't matter after a few weeks of play but Disc is really gear dependent. You need enough haste to have enough cast/second to get your shadowfiend back, and with Holy you can "bruteforce" some healing portions by stacking cooldowns while disc if your atonnement healing isn't enough because you're undergeared it's fucked
Gear is so easy though... You can literally craft yourself to a 600-610ilvl in less than a week from a fresh max level character. lol Or in less than a day if you have gold.

Blizzard balancing just feels really confused. Priests have extremely limited utility (no kicks, no lust, no brez etc.), no movement ability, no party-wide damage buff, no decurse. So you'd figure without having basically any utility whatsoever, priest healing output would be insane... but then it's just not. Even PW: Fort feels hilariously outdated. It's not reducing damage taken or increasing damage output. All it does is save someone who drops to 5% hp, which ideally shouldn't even happen.
Yeah the set up on pres is way too strong right now, but also with how the damage patterns are on fights it just fits their kit really well. Sadly I dont see nerfs/buffs or changes happening until the race ends, cuz even though it would benefit a majority of players, they dont wanna piss off the top guilds. Im really hoping for a holy priest rework. i really dislike that they spread the AoE healing budget so thin that all the spells ended up being pitiful. Like, cast PoH to heal 5 people for 100k each, or cast a Flash/Heal that crits for over 2mil, trail of lights to a 2nd person, and heals you with binding. Its a no brainer. We got PoM, PoH, CoH, Sanctify, Holy Nova, Halo, Hymn, Divine Word if you so choose, and Salvation as aoe spells. But people aren't even talenting into half of them cuz they're so bad. Whats the point of all these talents and fluff if they arent usable? It feels like WoD all over again, where you have to find what doesn't suck and use that, opposed to your class feeling useful and then building on that with synergies or bonus effects.
Hey bro. I’ve been trying to find a way to find out how much procs I have been getting from holy 4-set bonus. Is there a way to check that?! Like how many times flash heal or heal has been procced for 35% of original heal?
Why don’t they have a CR ?!!!! I mean the priest is the ultimate healer. They are pure light more than paladin and they can’t ?!! Why don’t we have a kick (make it like mage with a long cooldown it is Ok) but at least something.
It's time to rework holy priest. Or Oracle the power sometimes feels weak and we have a poor utility. We are in a nerf versión fron shadowlands. We Lost utility and the "heal" it's meh
I really like the concept of Oracle priest for Holy, it reminds me a little of faeries from shadowlands, the first and the third buffs are nice little buffs to chuck out off cd but i just really dont like the playstyle that piety pushes you towards, having to just gs myself and pump every heal to do any aoe feels really bad and I dont want it to be the crutch that Holy has to lean on just to be able to do any aoe healing cause it'll just end up with blizz never giving us any real aoe healing options
@@marcushoglund5893 you're not missing anything. There's no cast sequence that you can always repeat, since movement and the state of your mini ramps change the sequencing a lot.
Two expansions in a row Preservation is overtuned in season 1 and ruins the fun of all healers. Great ... I think it was even morea nnoying with their temporal anomaly overtuned values but they are soooo overtuned at this point it's just ridiculous.

I love playing disc but it is frustrating not being able to contribute to interrupts. Considering rerolling resto shammy just because of this.

Use fear you can interrupt whole group every 45 sec. Its not much but its something...

No Kick is Not Fine if the devs make Interrupts mandatory

Holy is a snoozefest and always has been. If I'm playing healer priest, I'm playing disc, regardless of class tuning.

It is so strange to me how classes like rShaman can have so much utility and buttons for so many situations but we get nothing in comparison.
There's no way you die through fade and flash heal DR on a 10
I think all healers should just get a kick. Melee healers give them a 10 second CD, and ranged a 15 second - across the board.

I was almost at 2.4k with my Priest but I changed to Resto Shaman and Healing has never been easier in my life.

I like Disc but it feels pretty weak in terms of when I need to heal something right now fast, theres way too much overhealing waste, I like the setting up for healing the whole team but that time it takes to get everyone with attonement can be the difference of someone dying or not, also feel like shield CD is a bit too high
How about the shadow binding ritual knife for holy? It’s D ranked on the guide but QE is simming mine at champion track better than hero track trinkets.

Jack do you think blizz might consider doing the buff in raid for disc? Even if it’s lower than 5 man?
I raid norm with mine and sadly my hps/raw heals and dmg mitigation are just meh.
I don’t enjoy 5 man content too much because it’s just absurdly rushed. I just haven’t enjoyed mythic +. The raids are nice tho.
So I guess atm the choice is fine holy gear and change up for raid?
There is one main difference for me between Holy and Disc that shouldn't matter after a few weeks of play but Disc is really gear dependent. You need enough haste to have enough cast/second to get your shadowfiend back, and with Holy you can "bruteforce" some healing portions by stacking cooldowns while disc if your atonnement healing isn't enough because you're undergeared it's fucked
Gear is so easy though... You can literally craft yourself to a 600-610ilvl in less than a week from a fresh max level character. lol Or in less than a day if you have gold.
@@nickeyd.659 no you cannot. You can't in one week level a profession, get the gold necessary to do so and craft 610... this is delusional. It's thousands/hundreds of thousands of gold to craft one spark

Blizzard balancing just feels really confused. Priests have extremely limited utility (no kicks, no lust, no brez etc.), no movement ability, no party-wide damage buff, no decurse.
So you'd figure without having basically any utility whatsoever, priest healing output would be insane... but then it's just not.
Even PW: Fort feels hilariously outdated. It's not reducing damage taken or increasing damage output. All it does is save someone who drops to 5% hp, which ideally shouldn't even happen.
Any resources on how to get the icons like dispel or holy fire in the core spells of the luxthos WA, can’t figure it out. Great vids as always!

Yeah the set up on pres is way too strong right now, but also with how the damage patterns are on fights it just fits their kit really well. Sadly I dont see nerfs/buffs or changes happening until the race ends, cuz even though it would benefit a majority of players, they dont wanna piss off the top guilds.
Im really hoping for a holy priest rework. i really dislike that they spread the AoE healing budget so thin that all the spells ended up being pitiful. Like, cast PoH to heal 5 people for 100k each, or cast a Flash/Heal that crits for over 2mil, trail of lights to a 2nd person, and heals you with binding. Its a no brainer. We got PoM, PoH, CoH, Sanctify, Holy Nova, Halo, Hymn, Divine Word if you so choose, and Salvation as aoe spells. But people aren't even talenting into half of them cuz they're so bad. Whats the point of all these talents and fluff if they arent usable? It feels like WoD all over again, where you have to find what doesn't suck and use that, opposed to your class feeling useful and then building on that with synergies or bonus effects.

Hey bro. I’ve been trying to find a way to find out how much procs I have been getting from holy 4-set bonus. Is there a way to check that?! Like how many times flash heal or heal has been procced for 35% of original heal?

It's time to rework holy priest. Or Oracle the power sometimes feels weak and we have a poor utility. We are in a nerf versión fron shadowlands. We Lost utility and the "heal" it's meh
I really like the concept of Oracle priest for Holy, it reminds me a little of faeries from shadowlands, the first and the third buffs are nice little buffs to chuck out off cd but i just really dont like the playstyle that piety pushes you towards, having to just gs myself and pump every heal to do any aoe feels really bad and I dont want it to be the crutch that Holy has to lean on just to be able to do any aoe healing cause it'll just end up with blizz never giving us any real aoe healing options
Bring back the absorb ramp playstyle from shadowlands. Ramping for a heal is stupid
Spirit shell was extremely boring. You just ramped once a minute on CD.

@@marcushoglund5893 you're not missing anything. There's no cast sequence that you can always repeat, since movement and the state of your mini ramps change the sequencing a lot.
Two expansions in a row Preservation is overtuned in season 1 and ruins the fun of all healers. Great ... I think it was even morea nnoying with their temporal anomaly overtuned values but they are soooo overtuned at this point it's just ridiculous.
