To bad disc and holy are so diffrent in secondary stats, would be great to just switch around freely without having to worry about having to much haste in holy spec
Interesting that they added in mini set ups to do outside of your bigger CDs. I found that Oracle seems to be more of a passive increase to help people learn disc, and then void is better for giving more power for your set ups when you get the hang of it. No idea if that was planned but thats kinda how I personally see the talent powers working
There is a pw:s build where penance magnifies it on top of the hero talent as well. When done correctly with instant radiance talents+penance blob boosts you can give up “super penance” and have points in on some other +%damage options. The degrading shield is almost always used up by the damage but with renew and FH reducing CD on PW:S it’s always available. Use rapture as much as you can. If you do decide to keep Superpenance then don’t forget to self cast it so that it favors friendly targets. Don’t underestimate the power of it with 2 radiants out and using on adds. I had 599 ilvl and was hanging with 616s 1 or 2 top of the chart. When done right it… when you have the discipline to watch your timers. It’s bonkers and needs to be nerfed. Because you’re doing a lot of instant castes give up some haste for mastery.
The hardest part of disc in raid… trying to stay calm, while applying atonement to the whole raid… and then drop in to your dps window…. While monk, dragon, shaman, holy pally healers are pulling 500k more in a second .. lol
I mean, even as a new disc player, topping charts isn't difficult, the biggest issue is people slamming cooldowns mid ramp for zero reason. Unfortunate reality in pugs
@@CovertGhostAgent This is absolutely not true, for many reasons. I highly doubt a brand new disc player is gonna top charts easily. It's very dependent on not only a high knowledge of the fight but of playing disc in general. Telling a brand new disc its easy to top charts is setting them up for disappointment. It's gonna be a bit of a learning curve as a brand new disc.
i dont know if changes were made or what but to me it doesnt seem like atonement is even lasting 14 seconds anymore... and I have been targeting people for radiance but somehow I still end up missing a bunch of people with it. I feel like a noob all over again :(
Why do you use Rapture and Evangelism at 9:10 and then power word radiance and not shielding anything? You use mind blast and penance instead. Waste of rapture ?
If you wanted to check lorrgs.io you can see how consistently people stack or spread the cooldowns. All of Dragonflight people stacked them like 80% of the time. Particularly w high movement fights and the time it takes our rift to detonate, having the extra atone duration on both your 1.5min cds used together adds a high layer of consistency to your ramps Using rapture solo is fine but doesn’t really add much imo, esp since it’s less shields now and so casting 3-4 shields into radiance is often not much different than using normal shields/renews into radiances for a mini ramp

I’ve literally been kicked from groups because my hps is (too low) on this boss but there’s not really a lot to heal, my parses on normal are like 80’s and 90’s apart from the odd boss where I’ve messed up. But this boss on heroic just doesn’t seem like there’s a massive amount to heal.. like no one dies to lack of healing, it’s always mechanical issues.
I watch the timers for Crimson Rain and im always setting up atonement for that mechanic each time. Its definitely an awkward fight for disc w the raid being cut in half
I’ve noticed that if Shadow covenant ends mid dark halo cast it cancels it. I think this is something that needs to be fixed. Unless there’s something I don’t understand about it. Any thoughts?

How do you practice? I tried switching to Disc Priest (only ever played Holy before), was doing well on my own and completing quests so I thought I'd head into a dungeon. I expected there to be a learning curve because healing in a dungeon is a very different thing from questing alone. Well, I don't think I can get over that learning curve because other players don't give you a chance to practice. I tried twice. Both times, I told them that I was new to the subclass and both times, I got kicked around the time of the first boss (once during the fight and once after beating it) and ended up with the Dungeon Deserter debuff for half an hour. We didn't even wipe. I died once before I was kicked the first time and twice the second time. How on Azeroth do you practice healing in a group with a new subclass when nobody will let you?
i improved significantly and was able to adjust some talents to better suit me through the proving grounds. definitely my go to when changing/adjusting talents or trying new things
@@AutomaticJak oh...that way..yea no brann is doing dog water dmg now for me..I was more asking about the class doing the job..My mistweaver is 590 I can solo t7 but my bran has really low dmg..they made really annoying for healers

Tldr. Wanna play disc- play monk/palladin. Even holy priest way better in raid, because blizzard cannot do what they promised ( less burst damage, and more sustain dmg)

Monk can be very punishing if you time it poorly but true for the rest.. proactive and reactive healers are not the same
I suggest playing disc only in mythic raid or any raid with lower numbers of healers or just go holy priest

Yep! Disc is very easy for solo t8 delves. MC a caster mob and just stay alive while brann and your MC kill everything

Maybe adjust the curios ur using? I have the one that causes brann to take more damage but deal more dmg and that helped a lot
