With the original Spider-Man Trilogy staring Tobey Maguire/Sam Raimi being the gateway for modern Spider-Man films!!
Whilst these films aren't perfect.... this guy has pretty awful opinions on Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, and even straight up lies at times...

Like bro, you’ve gotten three amazing adaptations of the character. Surprisingly, none of them are even 70% comic accurate, but they’re all great. And, all you can do is fight with each other over which one is the best?
This is exactly what I am thinking. People need to stop warring with each other over this. If one person thinks Tobey Maguire is the best, then that’s ok as long as they’re not obnoxious about it. If someone likes Andrew or Tom better, that’s fine as well.
We also need to think about the fact that there are way more Spider-Men than just those three. Plenty of people believe that Christopher Daniel Barnes is the best Spidey ever. Some think it’s Josh Keaton or Yuri Lowenthal. And all of those takes are valid. It’s all about perspective.
People have the nerve to call themselves “fans” when all they can do is denounce one version to build up another and that’s just toxic. In my eyes a true Spidey fan fan appreciate the good parts of almost every Spidey while also being able to reasonably critique them as well.
Personally my favorite live action Spidey is Andrew Garfield. My favorite voice actors are Yuri Lowenthal, Neil Patrick Harris, and Josh Keaton. My favorite comic version is the one from the original Ultimate Comics. I love these versions because they resonate with ME personally because Spider-Man can have multiple takes that can fit with multiple people. Others resonate with Maguire more. Others resonate with Holland or Barnes.
Spider-Man is not a one trick pony. Both the characterization of Peter Parker and Spider-Man can be told in many different ways. He’s not for one group of people that grew up with a certain era of films. I mean he was a comic first for Pete’s sake.
I really wish that we could just come together as a fandom and love Spider-Man. Stan Lee wouldn’t want any of this weird gatekeeping and in-fighting. We need to chill out.

Have you read Ultimate Spider-Man? Andrew Peter is more based on that character whose made in more modern times so having a hobby like skating is acceptable.
Andrew wasn’t bullied? Did you even watch the movie? He literally got food dumped all over him and got his shit knocked in, and it’s implied that this is a normal thing considering that he’s all alone all of the time.

Alright, look. Tobey isn’t my personal favorite of the 3 live action Spider-Men (that’s Tom for me personally), but I still really like him, and I know that without him, the other two wouldn’t exist without him. This whole video just was so dumb that I can’t even explain what I don’t like about it.
Also, AGAIN with the insomniac MJ hate. That was the most unnecessary part of the video. The clip he showed didn’t even prove anything about her being the worst MJ. I just don’t know what to say other than what I’ve already said.

Tobey's probably my least favorite of the main 3, I just find his movies incredibly corny and thats not really to my taste, but that doesnt at all mean hes bad (wont lie I'm also a little soured on him from constantly hearing people gatekeeping other spidey media because theyre too nostalgic for Tobey to recognize anything without him as good, but I think I do a decent job of avoiding letting that control my opinion of him)

Tobey Spider-Man is literally the GOAT there are some valid complications with MJ and Harry but those can be forgiven for the most part for the time it was written and the moral of the early 2000s after 9/11. To me Tobey will always be Spider-Man in his quirky universe of fun and nostalgia
