Day Star exactly, and that's why the MCU fails to properly portray the character, they make him into this world saving hero when he is really supposed to be a nerdy, awkward kid who happened to get superpowers, he should then use those powers to aid his community, not be yet another big super hero, we already have too many of those and not enough traditional local neighborhood heros that Spiderman is supposed to be!
@@Luke-xi2pq Exactly. Spider Man 2 perfectly shows what makes Spider Man a real hero. He had a choice, and the 90s animated series made this clear too how much of a struggle it was to be both Peter and Spider Man. Peter chose in the end to be Spider Man not just because he felt it was his responsibility having great power but in the end, even if it ruined his life as Peter Parker, he makes the sacrifice to save other people. Even when he temporarily lost his powers, he couldn't just stand around watching innocent people get hurt. Not many people can do that.
You would do crying scene better? Gosh be grateful that we had a perfect Spider-man for a short period of time and don't look at the details to say that he is bad because he is not Wait I misspelled the sentence,I was at work and just saw it at first glance so I typed very fast to defend his "crying"

@@deadpoolrockz6410 i missed the part where that's my problem. jokes aside, I'd prefer a plentiful of comedy along with saving the innocents. like in Spectacular Spiderman.
Umm everything Tobey says is memeable. His Spider-Man was much funnier than Andrew’s depressed movies. And it was much more tasteful than hot girl summer Aunt May and “Peter tingle”.
The Luigi Show Lol 😂 I don’t know if he said that but I don’t care! It’s true. He IS Spider-Man. He needs to return or at least talk about it more lol UA-cam clearly misses him. Look at all the videos in 2019 Edit; oh yeah. He definitely said it. Lol. My bad 😂

That's just where the hype factor is. The tobey films helped with that, then all the animated series stuck with it too. Its just more interesting to see a kid doing all this stuff, most people who followed spiderman were kids themselves so it was a commonality thing. Im 23 now but growing up i always loved the kid Spider-Man theyve stuck with. Now I would like to see a more grown up one and ps4 definitely served that purpose. But theyre trying to keep with the age group that will always stick with the character. As we grow up, we fall out of older interests, i used to like star wars, now it's too much sci-fi for me. But a kid is always going to appeal to another kid being super cuz it helps to imagine themselves in that position better
@@simplekid4328, I only started hating Star Wars after Disney bought out the rights of Lucas Films and Fox Entertainment to making shitty Sequel Trilogy, and they never released the original Remastered versions of the Prequels and OG Trilogy like they promised after they bought out Fox Entertainment and Lucas Films, and one of the reasons on why I love manga nowadays more often than comics because the characters grow up have a family and get old whereas comics even if the character is old they’re old cynical old assholes to everybody around them, and why’d I want to read a story that has a realistic story like that whenever the purpose of entertainment is to escape from the bullshit reality around us.
I feel like the reason why Sam Raimi’s version of Spider-Man was more accurate was because of his love and extensive knowledge of comics. The other Spider-Man movies feel hollow and too much of something created in a corporate think tank if that makes sense. Tobey to me will always be the best film representation of Spider-Man.

1. Glands don’t count. They undermine his intelligence. 2. The “Iron Boy” argument is both unoriginal and retarded. The Civil War movie clearly shows that he’s been saving the day for a while before Tony’s visit. 3. The only reason Tony’s part of it in the first place is so he has someone to lose without telling the Uncle Ben story for the third time in two decades. The Raimi version has a lot of good acting, and some good plots and portrayals. But in addition to the gland shit, the Raimi trilogy wasted Norman with movie 1, made him look like a Power Ranger, turned Eddie into a wimp who just whines at everything, and took away the twisted set of morals that made Venom so popular.

@@icosahedron3408 It isn't though. Spiderman/Peter Parker neither fears or (as is commonly said) hates people who have same sex attraction. It's a great insult to the guy he's fighting. As a kid, I thought it was a really muscley woman he was facing in the cage.
Ultimate Spiderman comics reveal his face a lot of Times un-intentionally and intentionally, heck Norman osborn figured out Peter is Spiderman in the first issue(technically he was'nt spiderman yet)
@Storyteller Universe It's ripped but his mask is only really taken off at like the end of the films(at least with 2 and 3 it's just ripped in the first one) while Garfield and Holland take it off like all the time.
@Storyteller Universe im pretty sure he didint want his mask to be ripped out, and only Harry and Mary Jane ever knew, Tom literally gave out his name to however asked.
*Fun Fact:* The reason Spiderman talks so much is so he won't be putting all of his energy into letting his mind run. If Spiderman's absolutely silent while fighting you, that means he's putting 100% of his mind into taking you down.
There was that one scene in Spectacular Spider-Man where the Sinister Six got their asses handed to them in one night by a sleeping Parker (the Venom/Black Suit controlled him). He was silent all along and managed to trump them all.
That means my Tobey was the most serious one. But I don’t blame any of the 3 SMs making quips. If I would see a man with octopus arms or a freaking huge man lizard attacking me I would make as many quips as possible to don’t be nervous. I think I wouldn’t shut up if I was one of them😂
@@domenica3639 In a comic when Spidey is talking to Uncle Ben's grave he says that he was his hero and he tried to make the things he did, like doing always the right thing, not giving up and he mentions that he jokes a lot cause it helps tranquilice civilians and rattles the villains "oh im so good at this that i can crack jokes while you have to concentrate to fight with me" But the main reason that Wall Crawler cracks so many jokes is to cover up the fact that he is scared as shit under the mask. I dont remember specificallly how he calls it but its something Uncle Ben used to do (something like "The Parker Labia").
That's right, Tobey's spider-man is an actual MAN in his movies. I mean like an Adult with real life responsibilities like working a job, paying rent, taking care of his widowed aunt... all that adult stuff
it's been almost two decades since the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie came out in theatres and it still maintains relevance to this day. The Peter from into the Spiderverse was a direct reference to Sam Raimi's movies. FFH literally brought back J.K Simmons to play J.Jonah Jameson. It's not just nostalgia that draws fans back to these movies. It's the fact that the movies were Iconic.
@@bonnierabbit1413 Yes and no. Ned was revealed to be the hobgoblin but that was because the original writer who knew who was gonna be the hobgoblin left and they just randomly decided it would be ned. Couple years later they retcon it and say roderic kingsly was the hobgoblin all along
My biggest issue with MCU spider-man is that he's so eager to impress Iron Man. Spider-man was iconic because he was the first teenage super hero that wasn't a sidekick, and didn't have a mentor telling how and what to do. MCU just threw that whole aspect out
MCU had to portray a very different Spider-Man because that was the character's 3rd live action version. Plus, MCU version wasn't exactly a sidekick. Anyway, his relationship with Iron-Man was perfect for Spider-Man's future as the next (kinda) Iron-Man.
The scene in Spiderman 3 when Peter whips that goblin grenade right back at Harry lives rent free in my brain. Tobey will always be my favorite Spiderman, bar none.
"Tom Holland is the best comic accurate Spider-Man" The best comic accurate Spider-Man: 1. Doesn't have money problems 2. Doesn't care, suffer of PTSD or have nightmares about Uncle Ben during nights 3. His Aunt May is a irresponsible happy go lucky sexual object that fucks Iron-Man's assistant rather than being a good caring responsible person that just lost his husband and struggles to move on 4. He's not a FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER that works for Daily Bugle 5. Not enough consequences (hope NWH doesn't turn the whole thing into a joke and actually make Peter lose someone by making a sacrifice or something) 6. Flash Thompson is not even a goddamn bully and he looks like someone that could get his ass kicked by Peter even without his powers (the fact that he dyed his hair blonde in NWH is hilarious as hell) 7. Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn, Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane doesn't exist (for now maybe) 8. Peter got his first classic suit made by Tony Stark rather than creating his own for wrestling 9. He's not independent, always needs everyone to cover his butt, gets mentored by every hero and reveals his secret identity on purpose, even in the most idiotic way possible, putting the people he loves in danger 10. *They completely stole Miles Morales traits, his friend Ganke and copy pasted them on Peter.* Tom Holland is definitely NOT the best comic accurate Spider-Man, and i'm SICK of fake fans pretending that he is the definitive second coming of christ of all Spider-Men. Tom. Is. Not. SPIDER-MAN. Nuff said.
People make fun of Tobey for crying but Tom Holland's Spidey has actually cried more than Tobey has lmao Also they say he has an ugly crying face, but I still haven't seen one single person who doesn't have a weird crying face
“They remember the Memes of him crying.” This is what I’ve never liked about internet culture. They don’t remember the character, but they do remember the stupid Memes, most of which were never that funny in the first place.
What I really appreciate about Raimi's Spider-Man is how he was actually portrayed as a loner who wrestles with his inner self and has not that many people he can talk to. He was dedicated to keeping his secret away from people and he never intentionally gave it away to the people who could've been hurt by knowing who he really was. The scenes in SP1, where he sits alone in his room, crying after the graduation, because Uncle Ben wasn't there, and in SP2, where he returns home after having a rough day, to find out it's his birthday, and there are only tree people in the house, break my heart. And that's why I've not been found of the MCU's Spider-Man. His life was too comforting for my taste. The struggle wasn't really there. He had all the friends anyone can ask for. He had Tony Stark and his staff backing him up, half of his class, and even The Avengers. Everyone liked the guy. Even the girl we thought did not like him was actually secretly in love with him. Maguire's Parker did not have sugary life. He worked on a shit job, had shit bosses, he was failing in school, he lived in a shit apartment, and drove on an old motorcycle. That's a textbook definition of a personal struggle. He doesn't even have to fight supervillains to feel beaten down.
Anton A. I remember from Filmento who said why this works is in few simple words. “Beat the hell out of your protagonist” give that protagonist the most struggling life and watch how the audience empathize him.
Also no one seems to get that Peter kept his promise to Norman before he died “don’t tell harry” and everyone seems often frustrated that he couldn’t just explain it to Harry in the other 2 movies. Shows his commitment to keeping a promise
@@amazingjay3957 when Osborne said "dont tell harry" I think he meant "dont tell him I'm a psychopathic murdering goblinman" not "I botched myself trying to kill spiderman." I doubt he'd really care about the latter.
It’s cause Harry already considers him the prime suspect after finding out he is spider man. Even if Peter told him he wouldn’t believe him cause he was already convinced. What Harry needed was for him to find out for himself. Which came in the form of his most loyal butler. Because why would HE need to lie?
@@dangerplayer3337 okay no, sorry but no Andrew Garfield and Tom look like Peter in the comics WAY MORE then Tobey does, do research before spitting out stuff that isnt even true
Also, Aunt May's actress was great for the role. She brought such sweetness and comfort on the scenes, that it makes you understand why Spider-Man wants the people he cares most about not know or be related to his crime fighting job.
Best thing about Sam Raimi version is he's always struggling in everything. His relationship, his job, his life choices . He's just like any other human being. When i first watched it as a kid you really appreciate the spectacle of action and superhero story, but as i grow up into my teen years and late 20s u really appreciate how can u compare ur self to him as an individual trying to be something but always questioning ur self with what u really want. To become greater or become just simple guy just trying to make a living.
Yea I loved that he’s not some super perfect guy like the other two. he can’t do most things in life without struggling like being on time to work while going to school and having a relationship that’s very relatable The other two get the girl with with ease get upgrades from other people and apparently have no problems with school
Yup basically this. This is the one of the reasons I like it so much, even though I never really noticed as a kid but did when I watched it when I was older. It's the struggle that makes him so memorable and believable. Tobey's version is an average guy who also happens to be a superhero at times.
Yeah the reason why Stan Lee made Peter Parker work is basically how relatable he is. He's not the best looking guy, or confident, or perfect. He's just a nerdy dude who happens to get powers but due to selfishly using them he indirectly causes his father figure to die and becomes a hero. But even then he still struggles with life. He doesnt get the girl right off the bat, he is distracted from school, he is always exhausted and distant from Aunt May etc. He can be anyone of us
@@raidoukuzonoha883, everywhere I go in real life I’ve seen more people claiming they love Tom Holland out of any other Spider-Man interpretation of the character, and honestly, I’ve always thought that the PS4 Spider-Man, Into the Spider-Verse animated film, and Sam Raimi films are the only accurate interpretations of the character from the comics.
I wish more people would watch this video and understand that we like Tobey's spiderman not just because of nostalgia, but his character depth and details in the arc.
Based on some of the comments, I think some people didn't even get past the title. I guarantee you, if I'd said I hadn't watched the movies as a kid, they'd still say I like them because of nostalgia. It's like they're programmed to say that as a counter to anything positive said about the Raimi films.
@@comicfannicolas3645 Sad but true. Also, to me it seems Tom Holand's spiderman is liked just because its played by Tom, with no regards to the actual character he is playing. Major comparison point between Raimi and MCU spideys to me is the fact that Raimi's spiderman was so relatable to, the guy lived a lower-class life, struggled with rent and juggling the life of a son, best friend, boyfriend and a superhero. MCU spiderman lived in an almost luxurious state even before Ironman came into his life - which is one major point I hated, Tom's spidey is the most spoon-fed, handheld spiderman out of them all.
@@comicfannicolas3645 That's pretty much mainstream media fans in a nutshell. @Cyberdemon Mike The obtuse lenses on the ASM2 costume have always bothered me. I also don't like the pinkish tint it has. I, too, like the costume in The Amazing Spider-Man 1, but I like cheesy stuff in general. They went pretty bonkers with it. My favorite aspect would have to be the gloves; I dunno why, but the blue fingers with the red running along the knuckles just looks so cool to me. I LOVE the shot in the movie where he's running on that bridge and places his hand on a car's window.
My biggest problem with Tom Holland Spider-Man can be shown in the scene in homecoming when the building is on top of him. That moment when he’s trying to lift up the building should’ve shown the audience his motivation to “with great power...” but instead it was all about what tony told him when he took his suit. You just don’t change Spider-Man’s biggest defining attribute and still try to pass it off as Spider-Man
It's actually really shocking to me more Spider-man fans don't take issue with that. It's blatantly making another hero his inspiration, putting him right in sidekick territory. At the very least Peter's now Tony's legacy character, which goes completely against the entire concept of him.
@@comicfannicolas3645 don’t get me wrong I don’t dislike Tom Holland Spider-Man, personality wise he’s closer to the ultimate Spider-Man version, which is the one I grew up reading, I just don’t like that they straight up replaced uncle Ben with tony. I hope future movies steer away from this

Not really, a noticed a lot of middle/old aged people don't really understand what a good movie is and they would positively react even to a bad scene - not because of what is shown, but the implication. Just look at all women enjoying the endless soap operas. It doesn't mean SM is bad, it's just not a good example to prove anything.

For those who say Tobey didn't joke enough or had humor... remember that he also voiced Spiderman for the games based off the movie and there's plenty more examples there of him cracking jokes and being a smart ass. Also Tobey's movies just showed the progression. From getting used to his powers, to growing up. Going from high school to college, to getting married. Spiderman 4 could've seen him as scientist with his PhD and everything.

To this day, that fight scene in Spider-Man 2 with Peter and Doc Ock throwing hands on the side of a train going 200 mph? It's still the best fight to ever come from a Spider-Man movie.
The Amazing Spider-Man movies had some surprisingly solid fight scenes as well, they showed Spidey to be nimble and they were surprisingly easy to follow. They were almost like the PS4 game
@@TheDirtySouth404 I respect your opinion, but for me, that fight was specifically all about the effects and less about any real defining substances: the choreography for one was all over the place. Drones, jets, illusions, Michael Bay explosions? Spider-Man fights shine better when they're simple (as superior animation alone doesn't equal a superior fight) which is why I love that Doc Ock fight so much. It didn't rely on flashy visual effects and instead prioritized high-stakes choreography, alongside tension realistically grounded within that Peter's universe. Far From Home's fight felt just about as artificial as Mysterio's persona to me.
Tobey is the most humble Spiderman out of all of them imo, only until he gets consumed by the black suit. But in his normal state he is not full of ego and pride. That's why his Spider-Man is the best
Antonio Morreale I'm with you on that (even though it might never come to be, but I still have hope for it.) As long as Sam Raimi directs it, I'm hyped for the fourth installment if it ever happens one day. His Spiderman films are my favorite.
Tobey was matured compared to the other two, it's like the first 3 movies really wanted us to see that Peter was able to be a hero all by himself independently.
There's nothing wrong with Toby Maguire Spidey crying. Because it shows the true humanity that Spiderman has under that mask. He's a human being. Even if he has superpowers. If you think there is, you're a monster!
Mr.ScaryPasta it’s not so much as him crying, it’s the fact that he cried. A lot! And when he did he had an awkward face. So awkward that I couldn’t help but laugh. Guess I’m a monster now 🤷🏻♂️
Mary Jane's speech from Into the Spiderverse summed up the character pretty well. Peter was just a normal guy who got special powers and used them to help others. There is a reason he is the most popular superhero, it is because we can all relate to Peter and his inner struggle.

I think my favorite joke from Tobey Spider-Man would have to be from the game. Green Goblin: Join me Spider-Man! We could be brothers!!! Spider-Man: If we're brothers! Then I'm telling Mom!
No, he wasn't. Spider-man never had organic webs! What comics are you reading? Granted the first 2 spider-man movies were really good, but far from most comic book accurate.
@@BlueNinja-pw1yt eh not really. Kinda don't make sense and they limit what he can do. Regardless that wasn't what was said. You said "most accurate to the comics." Which because of the organic webs (and a little because his personality), he is not.

@@BlueNinja-pw1yt yea I'd still have to say Tobeys spiderman didn't follow the comics. ESPECIALLY once we got to the 3rd movie. The first 2 were still really good though, and I still consider them some of the best super hero films, no doubt. They didn't follow the comics very well, but close enough to be enjoyable.
The only things Tobey haters have to say are dumb reasons like “he cries too much” “he’s ugly” “he’s too old” “he has organic webs” “he doesn’t quip” Tobeys quips are spread out across each movie so they feel more natural, the reason people say Andrew quips a ton is because most of his quips are in 1 scene and the rest of his scenes have 1-2 quips at maximum, so he comes off as a bully. Tobey “crying too much” is a bad point because he cried when necessary and for good reason, 1. He cried when Uncle Ben died, the man who raised him like his own son, dying right in front of him, why wouldn’t you cry if that was you? 2. He cried when missing Uncle Ben and wishing he was at his graduation. 3. He cried when the person he’s had a crush on since he was 6 years old and was about to propose to while he’s in a relationship with her, she fell in love with someone else, since this is one of his first relationships as well I think this is quite a good reason to cry. And the last time he cried is in Spider-Man 3 when his childhood best friend sacrificed himself to save his life and died in his arms, how would you not cry if that was you..? So in total Tobey only cried *4* times, which isn’t too much and they’re necessary. Tobey isn’t ugly, that’s your own preference if you find him attractive or not, Peter Parker isn’t supposed to be attractive, if he was attractive he would be one of the most popular kids in school and wouldn’t have been bullied. Tobey isn’t too old because he’s playing an 18 year old Peter Parker in Spider-Man 1, a 20 year old Peter in Spider-Man 2 and a 23 year old Peter in Spider-Man 3, I don’t see how he’s too old for that if he’s playing an older Spider-Man. The organic webs don’t have a major impact on his character, the organic webs were done by Raimi cause he was inspired by James Cameron’s decision from his cancelled Spider-Man movie, raimi also stated that he made them organic cause not every kid is smart enough to make web shooters and he did it to make him more relatable, it doesn’t affect his character In any way. Tom and Andrew have cried more times than Tobey has and the only time Tom cried when necessary was when Iron Man died in front of him, a example of him crying over something dumb is when he lost the stark suit in homecoming.
When people say Tom is the most accurate all they have to say is “he’s young” “he’s got web shooters” “he’s in high school” “his lenses move” which are dumb reasons, none of them affect his character apart from him being in high school, and Peter hasn’t been in high school since the 1960s.
@@Joseph_Drew_III Shut the fuck up. You seriously think Holland is a better Spiderman? Please. Spider-Man in his comics is hotheaded, confident, talkative, and at his worse moments becomes angry. As he matured his temper wore away in the later comics. Tom's Spiderman is always unsure of himself and his quips aren't confident ones, they come off as desperate. He doesn't ever show anger Garfield's Spiderman fits the comic one perfectly. His Peter Parker isn't accurate but we aren't talking about that. We are talking about when wearing the mask And another thing is actual prowess. Spiderman in the comics relies mainly on his speed and movement to defeat his enemies. Garfield is the quickest and most agile Spiderman. Another point to him
Stan Lee did say to Tobey Maguire that he is the best representation of Spiderman and they did start making some comic books of Spider-Man having organic webbing for awhile. Tobey Maguire will always be my most favorite Spider-Man.
@The most hated person in the mcu 1. Due to unfortunate circumstances beyond my control, you might have to give your title to Carol. 2. Show me the following things: -Tobey with mechanical web-shooters -Willem DeFoe in spandex who isn’t wasted on the first movie -Non-wimp Eddie Brock -Venom with twisted morals (but morals nonetheless) And I will show you a perfect Spider-Man series.
I don’t judge the spider man over their looks and personality, i judge them over their choices and comic accuracy. Tobey is the best imo, he has potential the other two couldn’t have, the way he tries to make it through his problems, and the way he is just the nerdy kid from queens we all know him to be, not to mention how this was the first trilogy, which is why he is everyone’s favourite, he will ALWAYS be spider man. I feel like Tom’s spider man focuses too much on the villains and comedy. Thing i love about Tobey is that he fits the comedy he uses when he is in the suit and darkness so well together, although there isn’t too much, i can give you some examples: “Here’s your change” “I guess you haven’t heard, I’m the sheriff around these parts” “That’s a cute outfit, did your husband give it you?” “I missed the part where that’s my problem” “Cya chump” Toms spiderman also leaves out the main parts that help him fight his enemies, plus I have noticed that Tom’s spider man fully relies on tech, except at the end of homecoming. And the way he is in love with Liz Allan and when she leaves he quickly changes to MJ (Michelle Jones) Andrew….. Meh
They act like he cries in the movies for no reason. Uncle father figure dies, pretty big deal. Girlfriend love of your life breaks up with you to people with a heart, pretty big deal. Best friend dies, pretty big deal. Also the face he makes when stoping the train was also realistic, was he suppose to be stern and not show strain?
everyone's arguing about which spiderman is the best but im just sitting here like "I want a sitcom where tom holland andrew garfield and tobey maguire are roommates"
I think that Tony becoming a father figure to Peter would have been a natural course if there was an Uncle Ben that died in the MCU. His desire to impress Tony could be some sort of way to pay back for the times when he was being selfish and didn't listen to Uncle Ben, unconsciously. I doubt that's it but it's a nice headcanon.
I heard the creator of My Hero Academia is a huge fan of Western comics and Spider-Man is part of the inspiration for Izuku. Guess Disney was just returning the favor.

Yeah comics aren't sacred texts. I honestly think Lee and Ditko made a mistake in that decision. Kind of like the net Spider-man's suit had below his arms, kind of like a cape.
I don't know why people don't like organic web .. I mean this is make sense since he had a bite from a spider so he'll has spider abilities.. not only physically power
Great analysis. The rage thing is something I didn’t even think about, but having read the first 50+ issues (as of my writing this comment) of Stan Lee Spider-Man I really feel Raimi’s is by far the most faithful.
The organic webbing is stupid. It makes more sense that he made web shooters, because he could also tailer the web to specific enemies(conductive for Electro, hydrophobic for Hydroman, etc.) How he got the powers makes more sense than a man with spider abilities shooting web from his wrists instead of his ass REGION.
Spider-Man is a story about a boy who happens to be a superhero, not a superhero who happens to be a boy.
It's also a story about a boy becoming a man even if he's a superhero.
Perfectly said
Day Star exactly, and that's why the MCU fails to properly portray the character, they make him into this world saving hero when he is really supposed to be a nerdy, awkward kid who happened to get superpowers, he should then use those powers to aid his community, not be yet another big super hero, we already have too many of those and not enough traditional local neighborhood heros that Spiderman is supposed to be!

I feel like the reason why Sam Raimi’s version of Spider-Man was more accurate was because of his love and extensive knowledge of comics.

Yea I loved that he’s not some super perfect guy like the other two. he can’t do most things in life without struggling like being on time to work while going to school and having a relationship that’s very relatable
The other two get the girl with with ease get upgrades from other people and apparently have no problems with school
Heroes back then used to strugle a lot, we can see their journey in character development which is awesome.
Bro I literally was thinking that exact same thing it’s so crazy how this movie hits different from watching it as a kid to now
Yup basically this.

Movies these days hold your hand and explain every little thing rather than letting the viewer get attached to characters and feel their difficulties, and as a result of that ease, most people who appreciate movies like that turn their brains off. If you wanna explain something to them, they immediately play the "okay im the only smart persin here" card.

Amazing spiderman 2 suit was pretty great too. The worst certainly is amazing spiderman 1
@@izzatirfan1995 Amazing Spider-Man 2's suit was REALLY good. It was slick, shiny, not too bright and doesn't look like it's fused to Peter's skin like Homecoming's suit.
Raimi’s Peter Parker is the only one whose punches feel like they have weight, and who actually brings a presence to the screen as though he could believably kick some ass
@Cyberdemon Mike The obtuse lenses on the ASM2 costume have always bothered me. I also don't like the pinkish tint it has. I, too, like the costume in The Amazing Spider-Man 1, but I like cheesy stuff in general. They went pretty bonkers with it. Like, if I had to describe it, it's like gaming in 2007 personified through a Spidey costume. My favorite aspect would have to be the gloves; I dunno why, but the blue fingers with the red running along the knuckles just looks so cool to me. I LOVE the shot in the movie where he's running on that bridge and places his hand on a car's window.
No, The Amazing Spider-man 2 has the best costume. It makes the Raimi more comic book accurate

Tobey’s Spider-Man Cannot be replicated
Not really, a noticed a lot of middle/old aged people don't really understand what a good movie is and they would positively react even to a bad scene - not because of what is shown, but the implication. Just look at all women enjoying the endless soap operas.

な6IXLXRD I personally think that the Spider-Man vs Mysterio fight in Far From Home has surpassed it at this point the visual effects were amazing
You gotta love when the woman asks "Is he alive?" and the guy says "He's...just...a kid. No older than my son."

Tom's Spiderman is always unsure of himself and his quips aren't confident ones, they come off as desperate. He doesn't ever show anger
Garfield's Spiderman fits the comic one perfectly. His Peter Parker isn't accurate but we aren't talking about that. We are talking about when wearing the mask
And another thing is actual prowess.

@@Joseph_Drew_III However, it didn't undermine his intelligence at all in the trilogy so your point is invalid.
Thing i love about Tobey is that he fits the comedy he uses when he is in the suit and darkness so well together, although there isn’t too much, i can give you some examples:
“Here’s your change”
“I guess you haven’t heard, I’m the sheriff around these parts”
“That’s a cute outfit, did your husband give it you?”
“I missed the part where that’s my problem”
“Cya chump”
Toms spiderman also leaves out the main parts that help him fight his enemies, plus I have noticed that Tom’s spider man fully relies on tech, except at the end of homecoming. And the way he is in love with Liz Allan and when she leaves he quickly changes to MJ (Michelle Jones)
Andrew…..

Can't wait for Tobey in No Way Home.

@@kingvegeta5695 no, no.. they werent, they just used what miles morales had as a character for mcu peter, idk how people arent realizing that, but they want to bring up the comics lol
@@ThaddeusSilva I was joking about the Disney part
I bet when spiderverse exist, he still looking for ironman or happy hogan to get a suit... because this is the most dumbest spiderman and that's why stan lee rush his death or else he die crying everyday in heaven after seeing his spiderman became a bitch
I personally prefer organic webbing. He's supposed to do WHATEVER a spider can, after all.
Finally someone agreeing with me!
That's not really comic accurate ;)
This made me remember that In one of the older spidey shows he grew 4 arms lmao
All thanks to James Cameron's original Spider-Man scrapped script from the early or mid 90s before Sony went along with the idea.
@@carolinefiorentini3233 well sometimes we don't need to really accurate that, not everything in the comic should be on the movie
Finally. Someone notices.
No one can take besides Tobey. He is the real Spider-Man forever. When i hear “Peter Parker” tobey comes to my mind
Hey, you huge idiot, Fahran, I wrote few years ago here. I dont know what and certainly nothing against Tobey, and you wrote to me this now: ""Zmedievalwhat r u doing here if u don’t like tobey. Go to school lil guy or take drugs". Well you crazy idiot youtube is certainly not for you. You like drugs, because you write about them? Well I am 40years old and dont need a school certainly. Listen, you idiot kid, go to school and leave me alone. You certainly need a school becuase you write "tobey" and not "Tobey" and "what r u" instead "what you are", "lil" instead of "litle". And that doesnt make sense to go to school or to take drugs, those two are not similar at all. And listen kid, internet and youtube is free for all, and I can be here or somewhere else. I am not living in some of your dictatorship or totalitarism, or in your Sharia law country. ...
"What does Tobey matter to you anyway?"
"EVERYTHING!"
AgentNacho Nice😂
Spider-Man 2 is still the best live-action Spider-Man movie to date.
@@tobeymaguireisthebestspide2695 Nah, Watchmen, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Though to be fair Spiderman 2 has always been my least favourite in the trilogy haha.
Meh Spiderman 3 is better than 2 imo
@Sudarshan Aravamudhan Best thing about Spiderman 2 is pizza delivery. And the videogame.
@Sudarshan Aravamudhan There have been decent live action Batmans but there has not been a GOOD Batman as of yet.
Walamonga 1313 hi
I like the organic webs more personally. It looked really cool and made sense for one of his powers in my eyes.
Haters always have low attention span.
Tobey's version is clearly Lee/Ditkos 60s version come to life.
And he's also similar to ultimate peter parker from earth 616
With a lot of things taken from John Romita Sr. as well
@@spideyguy3315 1610*, ASM is 616
Finally someone who understands !!!
@@SpiderMan-ek4sg yep
I like the organic webbing actually, he is *spider-man* after all
Then it would come out of his butt, not hand
@@AaaBbb-mk4yk No it wouldn't, it shoots out a gland near the butt, that's a common misconception.
@@JosephGaming ok cool. still doesn't make sense that it shoots from his hand.
@@AaaBbb-mk4yk it’s a superhero movie, why didn’t the spider kill Spider-Man? How they got the powers isn’t supposed to make sense
