This content is so timely. We are in the process of opening a dessert cafe, and my wife and I have been on a coffee shop crawl for a month now trying to observe how shops are setting up their espresso bars, while also seeing how efficient their workflows are. I have been having so many questions and It's like you guys just read my mind. Thank you for making this video. Now I can stop staring at every espresso bars like a creep. 😂
Excellent detail. The front of my pop-up are two Bror workbenches at 110 cm length each and 55cm deep. The first is the cash drawer and POS cart that doubles as a cup counter, tea bag display and roasted bags of coffee display. The second has an e65 GbW, pitcher rinser, and countersunk decent espresso, plus three pitchers, two portafilters, and a countersunk knockbox. THis is really cramped. There is almost no place to line up cups, so I use the shelf below the table tap, but that also holds other gear. I make it work, but its super tight.
Great, concise, video. Cant thank you enough for the invaluable information. We're about to set up a coffee bar & kitchen - also in an industrial warehouse. Brilliant! Thanks so much.
That would be a specific question for your council waste water management team. Every council seems to be different on this. My understanding is if you have one then yes, if you don’t have one then no.
Thank you for this! We just bought a coffee and used book shop in September and are looking at remodeling. May I ask where you have baked goods and ice?
We have a room behind for training. It had our ice. Originally we only want to serve coffee but demand pushed us to serve all coffee types and we did not plan to be that busy. 😂
Great video with uselful info. I know coffee is the star of the show, but as for food, for a small espresso bar, what kind of food do you recommend to have to go with coffee? keeping it simple without having to have major kitchen set up?
Fresh baked goods is a must, muffins and slices, protein balls, a breakfast wrap or bacon and egg roll, and some fresh sandwiches that you can toast up. And a healthy chicken salad is always a good option
hello, I wanted to ask why do you put the coffee cups on top of the machine facing down, why not facing up? Is there any technical reason? thank you, and thank you so much for your content which is phenomenal. Keep going with awesome content and awesome coffee 💪🔥
Hi, if you have then facing up it may get some dirt, a fly or something caught in it, facing helps this and also catches the heat from the machine to warm them easier
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Hello, but don't you think that your coffee machine can easily overheat, if you put cups like this, and your customer can easily burn lips? We used to have it facing up, so bottom of the glass is nicely heat and ready for coffee.
@@tencohravalzdezom hello! at the cafe I work at we have the mugs facing upside down and it dosent get so hot it just gets the cup at a warm temperature, but then again it may also depend on what kind of material the mug is made, but just wanted to inform you on my experience with them being upside down! :)
No, that space is for coffee cups and orders, you will fill the area with jugs and they will be in the way, also you are cutting a hole in the bench where the weight of the coffee machine is and it may reduce its strength
That’s a very open question, depend on a cafe, a hole in the wall or a espresso bar, all are different but at least $80-100k will get you a shop front of some sort. Look at what’s for sale that will help you get an idea of $
Curious, are you guys open for service during these types of videos? It looks like the middle of the day and it would be unfortunate to have someone walk in during recording haha
We record during the day live! Yes we get lots of interruptions from our lovely customers, that’s why we keep going if there is some noise from other businesses or the phone rings 😂
@Artisti Coffee Roasters. no matter how much you turn it down. The Audio is clipping when you were recording it. I can turn it down so I don't hear the tearing noise, but then I'm trying to read his lips

9:36 I actually loved it which he has mentioned about Baristas health a Barista could feel every time when it's busy hour
Pro tip: Always take into account the overall weight of everything on the bar to ensure that the bar can support all of the equipment.
Yes, if you have a wide gap of support you may need to have a metal support bar
This is such an informative video as are all of your videos. As a small cafe owner I really appreciate all that you guys do at artisti. Thank you🙏
Really appreciate your feedback and we're so happy to hear that you are enjoying the videos. Hope you're kicking goals with your cafe! :)

Thanks for the Great video! I got one question, can the waste water from coffee machine direct drain out without filtered through the grease trap?
That would be a specific question for your council waste water management team. Every council seems to be different on this. My understanding is if you have one then yes, if you don’t have one then no.
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters thanks for replying. Second question may i know the coffee powder residue in the water will chock up the drain pipe?
Thank you for this! We just bought a coffee and used book shop in September and are looking at remodeling. May I ask where you have baked goods and ice?
We only have 2 biscuits and a brownie, so we have them on our bar in nice jars. Our ice is in the training room next door, not ideal
Thank you for your kind and informative discrption.
One of your best yet, thank you so much! Do you offer the I-milk to USA customers ?
Some have made there way to the USA, please email I-milk directly via their website
where do you store your ice for cold drinks?
We have a room behind for training. It had our ice. Originally we only want to serve coffee but demand pushed us to serve all coffee types and we did not plan to be that busy. 😂
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters nice problems to have though!

Brand of milk/jug washer?
Nice elaboration.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate the feedback. Cheers luke
Is it good to put the jug washer in front of the coffee machine?
