God bless you Jimmy! My wife and I just purchased a coffee shop/bakery and we are turning it into a coffee shop/breakfast Cafe. This video and links are so very helpful as begin the remodeling/organizing process.
Not sure if you've done this, but would be good to see what you'd do with a home setup at 3 price points. Budget, mid tier and top tier including options like in bench jug cleaners, mini fridges, bean storage and not purely grinder + espresso machine.
Budget would include either coffee machine or brew station Mid tier: Espresso machine or brew station with stand alone grinder Top tier: Espresso machine, brew station, multiple grinders, tamping station, etc.
Thanks Luke and Jimmy! You guys have the Awesomest videos about café layout! I’m planning to do a coffee trailer and most of this seems applicable. I know you’ve done coffee trailer videos, but How about one about the differences between Café layout and trailer layout. Thanks again!
Question on the jug rinser, is the rinser plumbed in with HOT water for sterilization? Thank you so much, you've been one of the best resources! Also, is your 'Planning a Coffee Bench Checklist' still available anywhere? Much appreciated!
FYI coffee has 2 categories coffee and psilanthus.. According to "bridson and vercourt" coffea genus has 2 categoried coffea and baracoffea and subgenus coffea has 88 spesies composed more than that baracoffea has 7 spesies .. Thankyou...
In the world coffea has a few name variety like a bourbon , mundo novo , kent , kona , catuai , villa Sarchi and pacas and any else .. And for robusta has a few categoried too like a "bp n sa"on indonesia , apoata and other .. Thanks ...
HiJimmy, thanks for sharing another useful content and video! I was recently told that, with multi-grouphead machine (either 2 or 3 groups) it is not recommended to pull the espresso out of all groupheads simultaneously at the same time as it would affect the flow rate and mess up with the volumetric preset. Have you come across a similar issue or queries from your clients? Perhaps you could create a new content related to this topic 😊 Cheers!
Hi, luke here, this should not be an issue we a quality machine. The pump primes all the heads evenly. How ever if your filters are blocked and the input water is restricted you may find the water won’t come into the machine and this could effect a head, all at the same time, not just one of them
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters I guess that's the reason why you installed an external pump under the espresso machine. Thanks for answering my question, appreciate it!
Dear Jimmy. Thank you for sharing the fantastic video. Please reshape the PDF Link. The list at the moment is not available. Appreciate your prompt reply.
In your favorite setup, why not have the machine closer to the till, and the grinders left of the machine, so they could reach the machine with the cups as orders happen? Why the grinders between the till and espresso machine?? Im genuinely curious
Hi Jimmy, why do you need a pump under the coffee machine? Is it important or what is the point? I also don't understand double water filtration. One is not enough, or? Thanks for help
All La Marzocco machines have an external pump. This won’t be the case for all brands though. Our twin water filters ensures all solids are removed then the water is treated to keep what is needed to maintain good coffee flavour without damaging the boiler. Make sense? Anything else?
Most in-line water filters have a 2 step filtration with a coarse then fine filter. The fine one will get particles but also some dissolved things like chlorine
It will be ok if you have very organised space, planning will be the key to success, get your menu and items confirmed and draw a plan of your setup, list what’s going in each fridge or space and you can then plan the space easier 👊🏻
It’s a large single dose grinder used in cafes to easily swap different beans as it has no hopper essentially. And you can grind full bags for home use
How essential is a jug rinser? I am looking to buy a coffee cafe but when I worked there for a day, the rinser was broke but, as the current owner said, not important. So they work with jugs where there is milk residu in them all the time.
That's gross and in fact illegal. Milk has to be stored in the fridge. Besides, having old not refrigerated milk in your jug prevents you from reaching the best possible texture.
Sorry about that. Can you try again via this link and let us know how you go: artisti.com.au/blogs/news/critical-considerations-for-a-cafe-espresso-bar-build

How can i get the checklist? 😊
Hi Jimmy, the PDF isn‘t available anymore?
How about a video of smaller or home coffee bar/bench for the home baristas?
I just shot this last night, we will release it soon, 3 options at 3 budget levels, it’s was a fought shoot, 😝 but we got there
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Yes. I can’t wait.
Like to set up a coffee/smoothie operation. Have 12ft x14ft space to work with. Is that enough?
