    I already have the M Blaze Discs installed on the bar ends of my Sportster. Now I am thinking about installing the M Blaze Pins for my rear turn signals. Will I need to also intsall a flasher relay from moto gadget? It seems that they recommend using a relay for all of their led light installations. Did you use a relay for your motorcycle?

    That is the biggest reg plate I've ever seen. ;)
    You're already breaking the reg plate guidelines by having it not be visible from the right hand side, so you might as well just get a smaller reg plate.

      Shadow Broker ... that’s not strictly correct ... A side plate is legal provided it can be viewed at a reasonable angle from the right side at the rear. This is similar to how lorries often have their plates on one side at the rear.

    im curious to ask how the light is holding up over time with just the 3M tape?? im planning on doing the same to my sportster however 2 issues im thinking can happen is 1. the tape doesnt last and the light falls or 2. the rear bottoms out and the tyre touches the light and rips it off, have you had these things happen on your end?

    • @ridingdigital
      @ridingdigital  2 роки тому +1

      The light held on absolutely fine for years, was never at risk of coming off. HOWEVER, the size of the light block meant it rubbed on the tire and eventually rubbed through the plastic. I ended up replacing it with an official HD rear light that was slimmer and avoided the issue. Was much more expensive but less than a cheap light and a new rear tyre!

    i see you also have a red light on in your dash. I have the same fender light but with indicators built into it. whenever ik brake the red light will come on. Any idea to why this is/how to fix it/if its bad for the bike.

      I'm not 100% sure, the abs rear brake wire popped out and rubbed through on the wheel which I know is throwing up an error code during services so I guessed it was that?

    I noticed the turn signals by the handles. That’s the first time Ive seen that. Looks really cool. Can you add them and maintain the stock ones at the same time? So you essentially have two sets of turn signals like in cars (front signal and mirror signal).

    • @ridingdigital
      @ridingdigital  3 роки тому

      thanks. You certainly could split the wires but whether it works depends if the relay has enough voltage, you may need to switch it out it to run both. The bar end indicators are super bright so tbh from a visibility perspective I personally dont think you need both. Good luck 👍🏻

    • @drsparwaga
      @drsparwaga 3 роки тому

      @@ridingdigital Thanks for the reply. I wanted to get those turn signals that are white when they are not in use for even more road visibility. Also, having two turn signals would also aid visibility (like in cars, where they have it in the side doors and the front). That’s why I asked. I think it would look cool too.

    @Caser_Racer 6 років тому

    Just bought a 2012 Forty-Eight that has of one of those piece of crap brake lights installed - the same one you're installing on this video. The one on my bike was installed poorly; it's now broken and hanging near the wheel. I'm no mechanic or electrical genius, so I need a learned opinion here - can it be removed by simply cutting it off at the wires and hiding them away? Or will that mess up all the lighting on the bike (turn indicators still work and can function as my brake light until I buy a replacement...) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    • @ridingdigital
      @ridingdigital  6 років тому +1

      Sorry to hear that. I assume then you still have the original indicators that also function as the brake/tail lights. First question is can you simply reattach the light to the underside of the fender? A strip of VHB tape will fix it strongly. If youre running the original indicators and have this unit then the previous owner will almost certainly spliced into the wiring for one indicator side. If you need to remove the light Id cut the wires as close to the unit as possible, then isolate each wire individually so the bare ends don't touch each other, then tuck away. If your rear light is like mine (e.g. just tail light and brake light) then your other electrics shouldn't be effected. When you come to fit a new unit it would be worth tracing back from the ends you cut to see how the last owner connected those wires to the originals to see if it's a secure job, if not redo properly. So basically I think you'll be ok if you wrap up the wires but without seeing it it's impossible to be sure so make sure you're happy with what you're doing. Good luck 👍🏻

    • @Caser_Racer
      @Caser_Racer 6 років тому +1

      Riding Digital That's perfect. Unfortunately, the light is unsalvageable; the adhesive came off mid-ride and the cheap plastic light didn't survive the rear wheel. In pieces. The previous owner seems to have spliced into the original wiring to attach (stock turn indicators are still on the bike, and still function as brake lights) so cutting the add-on piece away and separating the remaining wires looks like it'll do the trick. Thank you so much for the expert advice! I appreciate it.
