    I put ones that looked identical to those on my 2000 model 883 last year. They weren't plug & play for me. I needed to use a couple of 25W load resistors to get them to work properly. They work great at night. Could do with being a big bigger & brighter during the day though. They do look cool. I went to the bolt shop & got some stainless bolts, acorn nuts & washers. I mounted mine under where the stock mirror go, I got bar-enders. These blinkers aren't road legal in Oz, though I've gotten away with having them so far.

      I don't know about load resistors. LED uses a very tiny amount of voltage right? So is that to keep them from burning out?

    • @ant4812
      @ant4812 Рік тому

      @@wanaraz No, the led's use fa power compared to bulbs. The load resistors compensate for that. I couldn't get my blinkers to work without them. Quite a few of the more expensive led conversion kits you can get come with load resistors already.

    • @wanaraz
      @wanaraz Рік тому

      @@ant4812 I don't know what FA power is but these load resisters compensate for it? It is interesting this guy got his to work and you did not. I guess it's hit or miss. How do you know what load resister to get?

    • @ant4812
      @ant4812 Рік тому +1

      @@wanaraz fa is fuck all.I ain't no electrician so I can't explain how it works any better than that the led's use way less power than the incandescent bulbs do - they generate less load. I guess the blinker control unit can throw a fit if it doesn't detect the right amount of power in the circuit. The load resistors add extra load and kinda fool the blinker control unit into believing nothing's changed and it still has the old bulbs. I think I went & got 10 Watt ones first, but they weren't working for me. Then my electrician mate said "go back & get the biggest ones you can". I got a pair of 25W ones. Those work fine. btw my bike is a year 2000 XLH883. Not sure if it's electricals are identical to the OP's bike.

    When you did the install they were both going to the right of the stem and nut. When you did the demonstration they were symmetrical and both going towards the grip. Looking at the shape it doesn’t appear like you took the nut off and flipped it. How did you do that?

    • @nooowayyjose

    I have a question, maybe you could help. I looked up all over UA-cam. Can't find anything on this. I have mine hooked up. The daylights work properly except whenever I use my blinkers. left or right. the opposite side daylight blinks with the blinker. So if I'm turning right the amber light blinks like it's supposed to but then the left side daylight blanks and if I'm turning left. The left blanker blanks like it supposed to. But the right daylight will blank. Do you know how to fix that. Thanks

    • @nooowayyjose
      @nooowayyjose  2 роки тому

      Hey there, I did get the hyper flash on the speedo, but I will say, the rear still flashes like normal and the front goes from yellow to white and doesn’t go like crazy. I do have a Vance and Hines Fuelpak and I was able to clear the code for the hyper flash. If it really bugs me down the line, I’ll end up ordering the relay which is like 15 bucks and straight forward to install. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

      Good question... still cannot figure out what's best. Blinker relay or load equalizer...

    • @nooowayyjose
      @nooowayyjose  2 роки тому +1

      @@BrassAmTV Yeah, not too sure, I have a LED headlight from Amazon but that was plug and play with the same wiring harness and didn’t have any issues with that alone. When I added the front blinkers I got the hyperflash, but was able to clear it with the FP3 and have no check engine light issues. I imagine if I had an “older bike” I may have run into an issue right away with the headlight change, and also if I would have also switched the rear lights to LED’s I may also need a equalizer plus relays. So far I’m still running strong without relays and on my stock battery, haven’t lost or reduced power. 🤷🏽‍♂️
