Shorten wedding dress - alterations cost explained

To work out the cost to shorten a wedding dress, we need to know how wide is the hem, the number of layers involved , the type of seams and of course the fabrics and embellishments.
We have often been sent photos of the wedding dresses for quotes and hopefully this video explains why you need to bring your wedding dress in to enable us to provide an accurate quote.

How do you get de beading off and how do you re-attach it?

Will try to video if I have time when I'm working on one that requires re-beading. With our gowns, we instruct production to bead before sewing on (but it would require an expert seamstress to sew without impacting on the beads) so most factories are unwilling to or will charge a lot more.
