OMG! You are a lifesaver! I was in a pinch because the seamstresses in my area were all booked up. I knew I could bustle my wedding dress myself but didn’t know how. I searched a dozen You Tube videos. Your technique and thorough instruction was super easy to follow. And your charm and sweet personality shines through. You save me hundreds of dollars with your DIY video. I can’t say thank you enough. ❤😘

Finally, got the knack of this for a mother of the bride dress that used loops to hold the shoulder straps in place under the cap sleeves.

Yes! I should’ve mentioned that this is the process used for those little bra strap holders!

I used this on a bridesmaid dress as a last minute attachment as the customer was waiting and watching. They were so impressed and loved the professionalism of tailoring that can use modern machines and these simple hand techniques as well! 😊

I imagine using a small crochet hook might help keep the thread from tangling. You're basically hand crocheting already. I find hooks can make it a bit neater.

awesome technique, I use an old lip balm as a way to keep my threads from tangling. Lolo also has a thread tamer product that works. But I like the lip balm best.

If you have a small crochet hook, it will make quick work of the crochet chain.

I didn't hear you say if you were working on the inside or outside of the gown

    • @neonoirlive

The loop goes on the outside!

Depending on the function of the loop or tack, it could be either inside or outside!

I made this on my wedding dress, and I messed up because the thread chain broke on the wedding day so I had to hold part of the train in my hands so as not to trip.
