I ended up with one of these and was very impressed with the engineering and build quality inside. They don't make them like they used to. I'm using it as a server now
I have an hp 6200 with an i5 and hp oem rx460 and it's actually a decent gaming rig for up until skyrim and gta v. Haven't tried many new games though.
best budget option, i have a hp 6200 with i5 2300 6gb ram and gt 1030. Playing far cry 3, battlefield 3, wrc 5, dirt 4, gta iv, Tomb raider, lost planet 3 at 1080 medium in 60fps some games.
Which Power Supply do you have ? I have that same HP with i5 2400 and mine is only 240W... I want to buy a card vídeo but all that I found needs minimum 300W..
Is this possible in this cabinet to upgrade motherboard, cpu and adding graphics card. Which supporting i3 3rd generation and above processor or amd processor
Hello, I have concern with my HP compaq 6200 pro. When i press the button there is nothing in my desktop and also the color in LED lights above the button was Red instead of Yellow. Whats happening? Can someone please help me.
Okay I put 32 GB of RAM in it, the fastest processor it could take according to HP which was a turbo i7 and with a bit of twerking a SAPLOS NVIDIA GT 730 Graphics Cards, 4GB, DDR3, 128-bit, VGA DVI HDMI, Low Profile card. Windows 7 ultimate SP 1.Okay I had to use an external 500 W power supply for the PC. But hay its working fine.
You can put a 2500 in it (k) versions are useless the motherboard doesn't support overclocking. Even a 2600 but beware the power usage: the psu is not super powerfull and the older the age the lower the actual max output becomes
@@RemyTheRat6000 now i already put a gtx 1650 in there and it works wonderfully. fps and tdps are really good. its temps also really good too. i also upgraded the ram to 16gb and the cpu to i7-3770. then finally i changed the cpu cooler fan to a noctua low profile cooler one that costs $70 on amazon
@@NevsTechBits I just bought a HP 6200 Desktop Computer 16GB RAM 2TB HDD with a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. Its not here yet but was wondering if it does have Virtualization. If it does not, which processor do you recommend because my main goal is to put vmware on it which requires virtualization.
Good to know bud! Thanks for the heads up. For those without google translate: If the power supply unit breaks down, get the same power supply unit replacement and read the article about replacement. The life of the power supply unit is longer than I expected. If the fan made a strange noise, it could be repaired by replacing the fan. It can be replaced with a 4-pin 9 cm fan. The cost is lower than the unit replacement, but it is troublesome to remove the screws and the difficulty increases, but if you want to extend the life of the parts, please replace it. General-purpose parts are available. The front was also the same standard, but I'm having trouble removing it. The ATX power supply unit could also be played by replacing the fan.

Still running a handful of these at work, they are I7's with 500gb SSD's. They refuse to die.

I ran terraria, tmod loader, Gmod, and a shit ton of emulators on this type of model. Its still kicking.
Knockout the little bit at the bottom so you can add ports. I will be the first to buy this!

Which cpu do you have in this PC
Please tell
Can you put a rx 570 in it
The i3 2120 is a dual core with 4 threads, not a quad core.
I'm really having trouble finding a graphics card that's 8cm high. Even "low profile" graphics cards all seem to have standard 12cm high brackets
nvidia quadro 600?
You can just buy modified brackets in the internet. All you just need is pliers to change it
Will a thunderbolt pcie card be compatible with this machine?
I don't see why not.
just wanted to know what is most powerful processor that it can go with?
Core i7 3770K
@@DigitalaDive thanks man
can we use ddr3 1600mhz on this pc?
No 1333mhz is the fastests the motherboard supports, i tried with faster ram no dice. But you can put 1600mhz ram or faster in it without any issues
Does it also support Windows XP?
Yup.
Thanks
I have same pc with i3 2nd gen Can i upgrade this pc with i7 3rd gen processor?
No. You can upgrade to a 2nd gen i7 though.
Intel i5 version is better! :)
Upgrade the CPU to newer i5!

i3 2120 is dual core.
Not tech savvy I have one for a home office how do I connect to the Wi-Fi seriously there is no wireless connection option
Go to computer store and ask for "USB Wifi Stick". That is what you need for wireless =)
