I have 4 children. 21 yr old boy who’s a student athlete (basketball) in college. 14 yr old daughter who has aspirations to be a pro tennis player. 12 yr old gymnast who’s also joining the track team, and an 8 yr old boy that wants to make it to the nba. My kids don’t watch news channels. Only the 21 yr old has a phone. The younger ones don’t have access to social media. I say all of that to say this, when kids are focused on something they’ll stick with it as long as they have a support system whether it’s sports, something educational, or street shit. Whatever the parent supports your child will do. If you don’t support street shit then show them by picking them up everyday and showing them other avenues. I’ve done years in prison but my kids do not know that. But I have also went to college and that part about me my kids do know. Our kids are influenced by what we teach them directly and INDIRECTLY. We have to be better fathers to our children man!!!!
