18ish. My friends dad told him not to come home after midnight. So he sneaks out, comes home like at 1. As he’s trying to unlock the door quietly. His dad turns the handle and opens the door. Looks him in the eyes, laughs, and shuts the door and locks it. Didn’t say a word. Homie slept in the car, and made sure to be home on time after that. Lmaoo… salute to all the masculine fathers.
When he started talking about hanging out in the projects when you got that good living an thinking it’s better. I honestly felt that.
When I was 17 my mom sent me to live with my dad due to an escalating pattern of criminal behavior. The first month of living there I called my mom 4-5 times complaining and crying. The last call I made to her as a boy she said “dee don’t call me crying no more I’m not coming to get you that’s your new home now.” I had to learn to live with my dad who I never really seen eye to eye with as a teenager, but those 8 months of me living with him change my life forever. Also to dads out there who may not be heavily involved in their sons life… it’s never too late because late is better than never. But to the moms y’all gotta let these dads teach their boys how to be a man.
I was in that situation but the thing is I was bugging so much! I would leave my dads house💯n choose to be on the streets instead with him I’m talking using niggas Wi-Fi hallway from hallway staircase 8:00am we’re the bros sleep crazy! I had to learn early im on 18 rn I feel so smart asf king! I’m glad I went through that I’ve become so older etc💯💯🙏🏽👏🏽
