My folks told me if I did some illegal shit they will turn me in. Of course I wouldn’t put myself in that situation but sometimes jail is the best place to save a person from destroying themselves. When I was a kid I robbed some houses that belonged to super Rich vacation home owner and my mom found all kinds of electronics and shit in my closet. My father let me run and my mother called the police. My father is a crackhead who I haven’t seen in a decade and my mother is a upstanding citizen. She made the right choice and probably saved my life. I got caught in 2 days and went to juvi for a year. After that I kept violating probation and I continued into my adulthood. I haven’t been arrested in tears and I work hard and pay my bills. She saved me.

When you refuse to hold your children accountable you are failing them as a a father.
