You can only save your character in the full version. In the old days most people played the trial version. It was really anoying when you kill a lot of champions and a random guy with a crystal sword one hit you.
You did but they added this feature for the final version

Nine Cat Jack's weapon was an old fashioned whip. It was used to torture slaves. It had 9 strands of leather with an iron ball or spike on the end of each one, and was called a "Cat O' Nine Tails," hence the name Nine Cat Jack

The blue pirate guy with the weird whip was using a cat of nine tails. It’s a type of whip made of 9 whips put together. It was generally used for naval punishment

So much nostalgia, use a "," to enable randomized op guys, when u find the giant u have like 2000skill points when u lover the height.
So i'm not the only one who knows this. It was pretty glitchy. Could end your run without warning and if you didn't take away the , or ? It would keep randomising in the run

I did that but it also not that easy because you have to rest a lot to to keep screaming like an idiot

FYI: After they 'sleep' a move when their energy goes to 0, the next attack you do is a 100% hit unless you also had to rest. So, a better strat would be to use the heavy hit attacks at that moment. At least it used to on SS2
Not that useful in s&s 1, it's faster to just spam as fast as you can, shaves minutes off
From my childhood memory, a better strat for this game is literally maxing charisma right off the bat and you will win every single fight without fail

I replayed all the flash games I loved growing up in January, this was one of them. I created a character that had all points set on charisma only, with my only attack being "shout". I can't remember if I did this on the first or the second game, but I managed to climb the tournament ladder all the way to the final champion. Only by shouting. Crazy how it worked.

OMG i used to love this game as a kid. I remember this one cheat, that you put ``,`` on the character customization screen and it generates new and fully upgraded gladiators. Mannn good times.
I remember always randomizing until i got that guy with 2000 strength who was so big that he couldnt fully fit in the screen

I don't ever remember the "story" part to this game being that complex, it's just; you load in, kill a guy in a dungeon, get your freedom, than you can play the actual game.

I want you to know, you just made my week. I LOVED this game as a kid, then one day my brother had closed the tab it was running in and I was never able to find it. My brother hardly let me on the computer so I didn't know about looking into history and whatnot, and by the time I did the game was long gone from ours. I tried for years to find it before giving up. After flash, I was certain the game would have faded forever and gave up all hope...until your video stumbled upon in my recommended! I was in elementry school when I had first played it, and now I'm about to turn 25, time sure flies lol

in fact I tried this but had no result since shouting consumes magic and for some reason the slingshot (first long range that appears) has a repeated->infinity damage when in Enemies hands , I lose 250 armor withing one long range shot

I remember getting to the final boss then dying. Basically pure agility rng run. But I had the trial version so the stakes were high. Played this game for hours
The cat o' nine tails are a whip/punishment tool that some pirates used. The ends of the whips could be things like hooks, lead beads, or knots of the chain or rope, and if the captain was feeling really nasty theyd soak the ends in fish blood or the like to help foster infection and pain.

The weapon that the pirate guy had is called a nine tailed cat which is a type of whip that would have nots tied incrementally or have pieces of metal attached for maximum pain. It was used on ships to discipline the crew.
Yeah. It's also not a weapon but a punishment tool. I am specifying this because while other weapons are kind of justifiable a whip has zero chance against armor.
Now I think I know everyone wants to see the other S&S speedruns as well.

btw i know this is kinda late but i saw this vid just today so you would have a reference. strength: gets you bigger, high push back, drains energy faster on your melee attacks but high dmg
agility: your range attacks will do more dmg, you can leap/move faster, lowers dmg taken from range
attack: improves crit chance and hit chance
defence: resistance from all attacks
vitality: i think it also makes you big, hard to push back. gives more health
charisma: taunt dmg and purchasing items with discount
stamina: gives rest more energy and hp.
I somehow got a swords and sandles add before this and thought it was the actual video

There is a specific variant that is being used here called the Cat O' Nine that was historically used for extremely painful flogging by the British Royal Navy.

When I used a cheated version of the game, my guy was so big and powerful even the Emperor himself blushes in aw, closen the gap with a single move, their attacks cannot even touch me as my push is strong enough to launch them off the edge, and my blades strong e ought to cut them full through!
