    Chris is the best. Currently learning from him, binging on his videos like it's Netflix. I just started watching his videos this year, subscribed and all, and I'm looking at a clip from two years ago and everything is so real, the consistency, the relatability, and he has grown massively. But seeing him apply these principles that he still teaches shows how valuable he is. This one was more crazy because he took risks, he empathized, and he didn't sell anything. He didn't sell anything at all. Chris, you are just too good.

    This is what focus, perseverance, **READING**, trial and error, FAITH looks like. Chris reminds me of a Samurai. A Samurai's art with his sword is designed to finish a fight with the MINIMUM amount of "strikes" as possible. The best Samurai fight would end with ONE CLEAN BLOW from the sword. Chris is **mastering** (as I know he doesn't see himself as Mastered his sales psychology, and he is always learning) this ART of not saying TOO MUCH or TOO little. Every "blow" as it were, is FOCUSED, TIME, PRECISE, DIRECT, RELEVANT, CALCULATED.
    Appreciate your consistency bro!!!! Seriously...your videos give me constant education and **inspiration** to not quit.

    My 1st concern is she needs hand holding to accomplish her goals. She gets too distracted easily and her priorities may not be in order. I don’t feel comfortable giving someone like that a money back guarantee.
    2nd concern: I can’t have all potential clients calling my past clients. It’s intrusive and a waste of time for them. I say this because even after Chris gave her that option she still wasn’t sure about her finances. Even at $2500 payments, I don’t believe her. People lie when they don’t have the money because they need the help and want to start getting help. She may have half the money at best. Or she may flake out half way through the process.
    Can anyone address these concerns? I have seen this repeatedly in my career and I’m tired of it!!! Thanks.

    • @thefutur
      @thefutur  3 роки тому +1

      It was a tough sales call and it was obvious she had many concerns. Later on I learned that she had been cheated before by another coach.
      If this client concerns you, walk away. I might have to except I wanted to see if I could close the client who was really gun shy.

    • @KiaTheDMVBison
      @KiaTheDMVBison 3 роки тому +2

      @@thefutur OK thanks. I’ve been burned too many times. They usually lie and say they have all of the money. Then half way through payments and the contract, they start “complaining”. Then they end the contract with absurd or vague. reasons. When I ask for specifics, they just say something equivalent to, “Look, this is not working.” They can’t give me a real reason.
      Later, some have been honest and told me they really needed my expertise but they didn’t have the money. They were hoping they would get the remaining funds. When that doesn’t happen, they make excuses to end the contract. So I can see danger coming half way through with their change in attitude. Never at the beginning.

    • @bluetheredpanda
      @bluetheredpanda 3 роки тому

      @@KiaTheDMVBison Just my 2cts, I am basing this answer on your two comments, and I may obviously be missing some data to answer in the most relevant way, but I though this may be useful so I wanted to share it with you:
      From what I'm reading, it might be beneficial for you to update the terms in your contracts in order to include a downpayment and a kill fee. This may lower your close rate a bit, however it should help ensure the clients who do sign actually have the money to pay you, and will consider it twice before terminating the contract.
      You could also try to prompt the tough conversations at the start of you working together (or even before), something along the lines of "Is there anything else I should know about that you may not be disclosing? The reason I ask so directly is because I have found that sometimes, clients tend to brush away some concerns or issues at the start of a project, but when doing so those issues usually pop up at some point down the road. And when they do, they are very detrimental to the project and prevent us from doing our best work together and achieving the goals we set out -- whereas we could easily have solve them if I had know about it from the start. So, if there's anything of that sort that I should know, now would be the best time to tell me.”
      Hope this provides some value, take care!

    "How to get a client to agree to pay you $10k" doesn't strike me as the best description of what happened in this conversation. In a sense, Chris invested in Jule. Chris was confident he could help Jule achieve her financial goal. He 1) Asked her to examine what agreement she would feel confident signing and 2) Offered a money-back guarantee. Chris agreed to accept the loss of his time should Jule not achieve her goal. He proved his case that "You/We Can Do This" and stated the reward he'd like to receive. It appeared to me Chris choose Jule as a client because he was comfortable risking his time. I have yet to watch a Chris Do video and fail to acquire a subtle insight, or at least a fresh perspective.

      @@thefutur The existing title is "Closing A $10k Client That Is Reluctant" which I think is a good title. (Maybe "A Client Who is" rather than "That Is".) The description I referred to was copied from the video description. ("How to get a client to agree to pay you $10k.") Your video title seems apt because you closed the sale by overcoming the client's reluctance through discussion, and you offered a guarantee. Sales people know that failing to close means "No food for you!". Yet I don't like to think about that when I'm making an offer. Wait! Guaranteed outcome?
    How do you achieve that?.
    Which Futur video talks about things that could likely double a client's income.
    Is it a case of find their USP and then find their target level of peers and emulate their set up and touchpoints?
    I once attempted to help a security company by combining and mirroring the touch points of the top three players in their industry.
    "If we have the combination of what they have then we'll get what they get"
    Didn't get that contract with them in the end but strangely it seemed to turned out for the best because speaking to them later it seemed that the problem was less about spraying gold imitation paint on the door handle.
    It seemed like there was more to it. For example the players in their industry that got the sizable security contracts got them because of personal connections and old school boy networks etc. How do you brand to compete with that?
    An accountant uncle that didn't believe in me or brand work once said to me that if it was as easy as branding by investigation, observation, combination and emulation then accountants would be the wealthiest of the human population.
    He said it would be because accountants have the backend of all businesses on their books so they can see where businesses buy their materials etc and can even compare them with other similar businesses that are also on their books and thus be able to seize all of such competitive advantage by reverse engineering.
    What do you think Chris?

    She sees herself as a business/life coach that helps with marketing and yet she's clueless on how to market herself/her business. She want's to be seen as an authority in personal development coaching but she's wasting loads of time and being unproductive. I genuinely believe her intentions are good but she's not competent enough to be a personal development coach yet. It also surprised me why Chris didn't ask her any questions about her competence but did promise her to make her an authority in the field. Also, he didn't really qualify what she really needs. He's gonna make her succesful for 10k, but what is he exactly gonna do? My guess is he is gonna help her market her business, not train her in how to be an effective coach. I believe she needs the latter. I've seen so many people become business/life coaches and they have no clue what they are doing. Just because they believe in themselves they think they're competent. There's a difference between competence and confidence. The result is that their clients end up paying their usually extremely high rates and get very littlle to no results.

      If this new prospect is somewhat of a big deal, and s/he will get the information that most of your clients are from fiverr, I think there isnt really any more point to talking with them... and when your new prospect is also on the level of being a "fiverr client" I think they wouldnt even be asking to talk to someone. So as long as you dont have some bigger more important clients to refer them to, you could try doing this - create an "imaginary" portfolio, we cant start out making work for big clients, but we can show people what would be able to create, if we had a deal with them. create a portfolio of work that will knock people off their feet, and there is a chance that new clients dont want to talk to your clients because they are so confident of your abilities

    How can I be in Jule's spot? I am in the same zone as here. I've already purchased pro group but this seems to me something else (what Chris is offering her).
    Thank you so much for all the content!

    The deal was made when you guaranteed a return of her money if she doesnt hit the goal... I have to admit myself I was apprehended about this guy just like she was but money guaranteed makes this deal possibly the best financial decision she could make, ever.

    Hey Chris. I love these role play calls but I can’t help but think that this is not realistic. You’re removing all the risk from the client. Every client will say yes to a proposal that has zero risk. If it’s for a role play call you can easily do that but in reality you’re taking on huge risk by doing this for every reluctant client. On the other hand you might wonder if you’re going to be in business for long if you can’t help customers achieve their goals but in my experience it’s simply not always possible to estimate how far you’re going to get in achieving something. What’s your thoughts? Is the average entrepreneur able to achieve this in real life ?

      I can guarantee results because I’m confident I can deliver. Don’t promise something if you can’t. The purpose of sales is to remove resistance and probability of negative outcomes.

    What is the value ($$) of growth and satisfaction? As always, this depends on the client and their scale. Moving from $30k to $102k is a big leap, but entirely possible.
    Also, what is the value of trust?
